Abstract

Variability of Sea Surface Temperature (SST) is one of the climatic features that influence global and regional climate dynamics. Missing data (gaps) in the SST dataset are worth investigating since they may statistically alter the value of the SST change. The partial least square-structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) approach is used in this work to estimate the causality relationships between exogenous and endogenous latent variables. The findings of this study, which are significant indicators that have a loading factor value > 0.7 are as follows: i) sea surface temperature (oC) as a measure of the latent variable changes in SST, ii) wind speed (m/s) and relative humidity (%) as a measure of the latent variable of weather, and iii) air temperature (oC), long-wave solar radiation (w/m2) as a measure of climate latent variables. The size of the Rsquare value is influenced by the number of gaps. The results of the boostrapping show that the latent variables of weather and climate have a significant effect on changes in SST which are indicated by the value of tstatistics > ttabel. The structural model obtained Changes in SST (η) = -0.330 weather + 0.793 climate + ζ. The model shows that the weather has a negative coefficient, which means that the better the weather conditions, the lower the SST changes. Climate has a positive coefficient, which means that the better the climate, the SST changes will also increase. Rising sea surface temperatures caused by an increase in climate can lead to global warming, impacting El-Nino and La-Nina events.

Abstract

A conflict, defined as a clash of interest, derives from incompatible interactions whether individuals or groups in social entities, economic, political, and cultural activities, and in turns, conflict that arises create social instability. The current research objectives are to figure out the conflict that occurs in Tanjung Mas Village and to determine the right communication patterns in resolving existing matters. Conducted through qualitative case study, the chosen location was Tanjung Mas Village, Kampar Kiri Riau, the informants were the village head, the head of the Nias and the Batak tribes. The results obtained in this line of research demonstrated that the most common factors that lead to conflict are economic factor, the Nias people are generally stronger but receive cheaper salary than the Batak, thus an employer would prefer the Nias rather than the Batak, hence it gives way to conflict, another factor is also due to sport. In this regard, conflict resolution stages conducted by the head of the tribes is through mediation.

Abstract

This article reveals the managerial competence of the Head of Madrasah, especially in terms of education financing at the Anwarul Falah Tsanawiyah Madrasah, Pebenaan Village, Keritang Indragiri Hilir District, Riau. This article comes from qualitative research using data collection through observation, interviews and documentation. The research results show that the Head of Madrasah has carried out good managerial processes in curriculum management. At the planning stage, the Madrasah Head combines an administrative approach with a grass roots approach which is prepared based on student needs. Stages of managerial implementation of the curriculum, the Head of the Madrasah divides the stages into two levels, namely the implementation of the madrasah and class level curriculum, meanwhile for the supervisory stage the Head of the Madrasah applies formative and summative evaluations. The managerial ability of the Head of Madrasah in managing personnel management is said to be quite good, but there are several things that are still lacking, namely at the planning and evaluation stages. Artikel ini mengungkap kompetensi manajerial Kepala Madrasah khususnya dalam hal pembiayaan pendidikan di Madrasah Tsanawiyah Anwarul Falah Desa Pebenaan Kecamatan Keritang Indragiri Hilir Riau. Artikel ini berasal dari sebuah penelitian kualitatif dengan pengumpulan data secara observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Kepala Madrasah sudah melakukan proses manajerial dengan baik pada manajemen kurikulum. Pada tahapan perencanaan Kepala Madrasah memadukan antara administrative approach dengan grass roots approach yang disusun berdasarkan atas kebutuhan siswa. Tahapan pelaksanaan manajerial kurikulum, Kepala Madrasah membagi tahapan menjadi dua tingkatan yaitu pelaksanaan kurikulum tingkat madrasah dan kelas, sementara itu untuk tahapan pengawasan Kepala Madrasah menerapkan evaluasi formatif dan sumatif. Kemampuan manajerial Kepala Madrasah dalam mengelola manajemen personil dikatakan cukup baik, namun terdapat beberapa hal yang masih kurang yaitu pada tahapan perencanaan dan evaluasi.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the implementation of landrente in the East Indies by Raffles in 1811-1816 and the existence of landrente policies in the Madiun Residency in 1811-1870. This study uses a form of historical research to find out facts and draw conclusions about past events. Sources of data used include primary sources including archives and documents during the implementation period of the landrente and secondary sources include books, articles and interviews related to landrente in the Madiun Residency. Based on the results of the research, it can be concluded that the landrente started since Raffles came to power in 1811-1816 to replace the mandatory submission policy. The existence of land tax in the Madiun Residency still exists in the next period, namely it can change land ownership and land use in the community. From 1811 to 1870, The landrente causes a change in the pattern of land from individual ownership to communal ownership. It also causes changes in land use from agriculture to plantations.

Abstract

The demonstration method is a teaching method by demonstrating items, events, rules, and sequences to carry out an activity, either directly or through the use of teaching media that are relevant to the subject or material being presented. The purpose of the demonstration learning method in shaping the character of early childhood, knowing the supporting and inhibiting factors for teachers in using the demonstration method to shape children's character, and knowing the teacher's efforts in using the demonstration method to shape the character of early childhood education children Riyadatul Jannah Tembilahan Hulu Indragiri Hilir Regency Riau Province. The subjects in this study were Early Childhood Education teachers, while the data collection techniques used interview, observation and documentation techniques. Based on the results of data processing and analysis of the results that the author did, it can be seen that the demonstration learning method in shaping the character of early childhood in Riyadatul Jannah Tetmbilahan Hulu Early Childhood Education, Indragiri Hilir Regency, Riau Province has been said to be quite optimal with the application of demonstration methods in learning. Metode demonstrasi adalah metode mengajar dengan cara memperagakan barang, kejadian, aturan, dan urutan untuk melakukan suatu kegiatan, baik secara langsung maupun melalui penggunaan media pengajaran yang relevan dengan pokok bahasan atau materi yang sedang disajikan. Tujuan metode pembelajaran demonstrasi dalam membentuk karakter anak usia dini, mengetahui faktor pendukung dan penghambat bagi guru dalam menggunakan metode demonstrasi untuk membentuk karakter anak, dan mengetahui upaya guru dalam menggunakan metode demonstrasi unutk membentuk karakter anak pendidikan anak usia dini Riyadatul Jannah Tembilahan Hulu Kabupaten Indragiri Hilir Provinsi Riau. Adapun subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah para guru Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini sedangkan teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Berdasarkan hasil pengelolahan dan analisis data hasil yang penulis lakukan maka dapat diketahui bahwa metode pembelajaran demonstrasi dalam membentuk karakter anak usia dini di Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini Riyadatul Jannah Tetmbilahan Hulu Kabupaten Indragiri Hilir Provinsi Riau sudah dikatakan cukup maksimal dengan dengan adanya penerapan metode demonstrasi dalam pembelajaran.

Abstract

Green amaranth (Amaranthus tricolor) is a popular vegetable in Indonesia as a source of vitamins and minerals. This plant is susceptible to the contamination of heavy metals such as lead. This study aimed to analyze the growth responses and morphophysiological of A. tricolor in response to the application of lead in the forms of (Pb (NO3)2 using a wick hydroponic system. This study used factorial randomized design with four treatments of lead level, i.e. 0 ppm, 1 ppm, 3 ppm, and 5 ppm, repeated 2 times. Data were analyzed by analysis of one-way ANOVA and post hoc test by Duncan in P-value 5%. The growth responses were observed by measuring the plant height, the number of leaves, leaf color, shoot and roots fresh weight, also its dry weight. Whereas, the physiological responses were observed by analyzing the plant chlorophyll levels. The results obtained that the applications of (Pb(NO3)2 decreased plant height, leaf number, fresh weight of shoot and roots, dry weight of shoot and roots, also the chlorophyll levels. These lead treatments were affecting root loss, changed the color of leaves to become yellowish-green, and showing yellow-spotted close to the midrib. Analysis of lead uptake in stems and leaves showed that the absorption value increased along with the applications of (Pb(NO3)2 in the treatment. The treatment of 5 ppm of (Pb(NO3)2 showed the lowest result on all parameters.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the impact of implementing Mandi Balimau Kasai local wisdom values in history education on the development of students' religious character. The research employs an experimental design with a pre-test and post-test one group design. The research subjects consist of 45 high school students in the Riau region. Data collection instruments in this study include questionnaires used to measure students' religious character. Data analysis methods involve both statistical analysis and descriptive analysis. Descriptive analysis is used to summarize students' religious character data before and after the treatment, providing a general overview of the changes in students' religious character. Statistical analysis includes paired t-tests and simple linear regression analysis. The results of the study indicate that students' religious character in the pre-test stage significantly influences their religious character in the post-test stage. A positive regression coefficient of 0.75 suggests that an increase in religious character in the pre-test stage is positively correlated with an increase in religious character in the post-test stage. Furthermore, an R-squared value of 0.74 indicates that approximately 74% of the variability in religious character in the post-test stage can be explained by students' religious character in the pre-test stage. This research provides valuable insights into the role of local wisdom values in enhancing students' religious character. However, there are limitations to the study, including the focus on Mandi Balimau Kasai as the sole local wisdom in Riau and the research subjects limited to high school students. Therefore, a recommendation for future research is to broaden the scope by examining the effectiveness of implementing other local wisdom values in a broader context. Additionally, other factors influencing students' religious character, such as the social environment, religious education, and family influences, need to be considered. The results of this study can be beneficial in developing more effective curriculum and teaching strategies to enhance students' holistic religious character development.

Abstract

This study present KH. Hasyim Asy'ari's nationality, which has a great service to the Indonesian people. Since childhood, KH. Hasyim Asy'ari is a typical santri who likes to travel to seek knowledge in various pesantren, both in the archipelago and in Mecca. After returning from Mecca, KH. Hasyim Asy'ari founded Pesantren Tebuireng and established the Nahdlatul Ulama organization. Its work began to stand out when it declared the fatwa of jihad against the Dutch colonialists. The national jihad declared by KH. Hasyim Asy'ari, proved to be very effective in burning the spirit of muslims patriotism in Indonesia, so that the colonizers could be eliminated from the country. During the Dutch colonial period, KH. Hasyim Asy'ari was attacked by the Dutch and his pesantren was also burned. Whereas in the Japanese period, KH. Hasyim Asy'ari was arrested and jailed for opposing Japanese orders and policies, Seikerei.

Abstract

This research has: 1) the purpose of developing history learning media using the Smart App Creator 3 (SAC) application; and 2) to determine the feasibility of learning media using the Smart App Creator 3 (SAC) application. This research uses the Research and Development (R&D) method using the Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluate (ADDIE) model. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 3 Magelang. The small group test subjects were 34 students, while the large group test subjects were 108 students. Data analysis used qualitative data (observation and interview) and quantitative data (questionnaire). The results of product development have produced history learning media based on the Smart App Creator 3 (SAC) application. The product was assessed by material experts and media experts with a score of 94 and 103 included in the criteria of good/worthy of use and the results of the large group trial scored 86 in high criteria so that the media is suitable for use in learning History at SMA Negeri 3 Magelang.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation model of instilling Islamic characters at SMP-SMA Al-Irsyad Al-Islamiyyah Boarding School Purwokerto. This study employs a qualitative research design, utilizing observation, interviews, and document analysis as data collection techniques. The collected data are then analyzed to understand the character education model at Al-Irsyad. The research findings indicate that the formation of Islamic characters at SMP-SMA Al-Irsyad Al-Islamiyyah Boarding School Purwokerto is conducted through Islamic Religious Education (PAI) subjects, which include Akhlaq (ethics), Aqidah (creed), Fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence), and Tarikh Islam (Islamic history) as the learning materials. The Akhlaq lesson aims to promote honesty, integrity, and noble character for the students while eliminating feelings of envy. Meanwhile, the specific goal of Islamic character formation is instilled through Aqidah lesson. The Aqidah curriculum directs students to avoid practices in Islam that are considered deviant from monotheism, such as acts of shirk (polytheism), Tawassul (seeking intercession), and Tabarruk (seeking blessings). Some implications of this understanding result in Al-Irsyad not allowing the students to "salute the red-and-white flag" or "observe a moment of silence" during flag ceremonies. Additionally, the Al-Irsyad students are not permitted to sing the national song "Padamu Negeri," as this song negates Allah's presence. Such practices typically occur due to a textual interpretation and understanding of Islamic sources, the Qur'an, and Hadith.
