Abstract

Character education rooted in indigenous knowledge offers a remedy for instilling traditional values into students' character development. The local wisdom of Riau Malay Songket is one of the local wisdom that provides a strong cultural foundation for students to build a solid identity and understand the importance of cultural diversity. The objective of this study is to evaluate how effective character education based on the local wisdom of Songket Melayu Riau is in shaping the character of high school students. This research uses quantitative methods with a one-group pretest-posttest Design approach. Purposive sampling strategies were used to choose 30 class X students from SMAN 1 Riau as the research subjects. A questionnaire that the researcher created was employed as the study tool. The data analysis for this study used the paired t-test, N-Gain test, homogeneity test, and normality test. With a significance level below 0.05, the study's findings show a significant difference in students' character development before and after character education based on Songket Melayu Riau's local wisdom. Furthermore, the N-Gain evaluation indicates a score of 31.53, indicating a 32% rise in quantifiable character. Therefore, implementing character education aligned with Songket Melayu Riau's traditional wisdom effectively develops students' moral character.

Abstract

Character education often overlooks the integration of local wisdom, despite its potential to significantly influence students' moral and ethical development. This study investigates the impact of incorporating the Tepuk Tepung Tawar tradition’s local wisdom values on students' character development. The research method used is an experimental method with a one group pretest-posttest design. The subjects in this research consisted of 40 students taken using a saturated sampling technique. This study's data collecting procedures included interviews and test results. The data analysis technique for this research uses the paired t-test and the N-Gain test. The results showed that there was a significant difference in student character building before and after the application of the local wisdom values of Tepung Tawar, with a significance value of less than 0.05. The N-Gain Test results showed a score of 70%, indicating an increase in student character scores after the application of the local wisdom values of Tepung Tawar. Therefore, improving student character can be done by teachers integrating local wisdom values to students in history learning.

Abstract

In general, if students do not understand the concept of learning, it affects learning. Therefore, there is a need for teaching materials that convey to students the need to understand concepts when learning. This development research aims to produce student worksheets based on Socio Scientific Inquiry that are valid, practical, effective for students, student sheets, media and material expert validation sheets, as well as practicality sheets. Then the effectiveness sheets are in the form of post-test pretest sheets. Based on the data obtained, the validation of teaching materials had a score of 95.76 %, the results of material validation were 100 %, the teacher response results were 100% and the student response questionnaire results were 95.32 %. The effectiveness assessment resulted in an N-Get of 75.52 % in the high category. Therefore, it can be said that the Socio Scientific Inquiry of worksheet is available, useful, and efficient learning tool that can improve students' conceptual comprehension. However, additional research development can increase the topic of study and include biological learning materials not covered in this worksheet.

Abstract

Cigarette smoke is one of the causes of air pollution which can have adverse health effects. The number of smokers in Indonesia has increased in the last 10 years, thus the high prevalence of smoking harms people's health. One of the significant impacts on thehuman body is on thecardiovascular system, i.e, increasing blood pressure. Data from the East Simeulue Health Service 2023 recorded that the number of people experiencing hypertension reached 1,344 people. The high prevalence of hypertension in the East Simeulue sub-district is in line with the high prevalence of people who smoke in this area. Therefore, this community service activity aims to increase the understanding and knowledge of the inhabitants of Amiria Bahagia Village, East Simeulue District regarding the impact of smoking on health and incidences of hypertension. This activity was divided into two sessions: a health socialization and a blood pressure examination. The result from the health examinations found that for hypertension 31 (34,10%) respondents and non-hypertension 60 (65,90%) respondents out of the total 91 respondents. Of the smoking status, there are 52 (57,10%) respondents were smokers and 39 (42,90%) respondents were non-smokers. It is hoped that the results of this activity will increase public knowledge regarding the negative effects of smoking and risk factors for hypertension in the population of East Simeulue sub-district. The knowledge conveyed can contribute to improve the quality of public health and reduce the incidences of hypertension in the community.

Abstract

Desa Bangket Parak merupakan salah desa penyangga Kawasan Ekonomi Khusus (KEK) Mandalika, sehingga memiliki peran penting dalam menjaga kondisi lingkungan kawasan tersebut. Beberapa dusun, khususnya wilayah bagian selatan yaitu Dusun Pasung, bencana banjir sering terjadi di wilayah ini yang disebabkan karena penebangan pohon, banjir kiriman dari wilayah utara yang datarannya lebih tinggi, serta akibat dari pasang air laut ketika terjadi curah hujan yang terjadi sangat tinggi. Universitas Mataram sebagai salah satu Perguruan Tinggi Negeri (PTN) memiliki peran penting dan strategis dalam mitigasi bencana, khususnya di Propinsi Nusa Tenggara Barat (NTB. Oleh karena itu kegiatan sosialisasi mitigasi bencana banjir ini perlu dilaukan dengan tujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kesadaran masyarakat khususnya dalam kesiapsiagaan dalam menghadapi bencara banjir. Secara umum pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian telah berjalan lancar sesuai dengan rencana jadwal pelaksanaan dan dengan memanfaatkan semaksimal mungkin waktu yang tersedia. Sosialisasi mitigasi bencana banjir dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kesadaran masyarakat khususnya dalam kesiapsiagaan dalam menghadapi bencara banjir. Dengan terbentuknya kelompok Desa Tangguh Bencana (Destana)di Desa Bangket Barak, kesadaran masyarakat semakin meningkat tentang pentingnya partisipasi masyarakat dalam kegiatan mitigasi bencana banjir.

Abstract

This study aims to reaffirm the role of K.H. Mas Mansur in the context of Indonesia's struggle for independence from colonial rule. The research employs historical research procedures, including heuristics (source gathering), verification (criticism of the collected sources), interpretation (analysis of historical facts), and historiography (writing of history). The results of this study indicate that K.H. Mas Mansur's contributions to Indonesia's independence were realized both in the fields of social-religious movements to advance Islam and in politics. K.H. Mas Mansur viewed his involvement in social-religious affairs as important, seeing it as a means of empowering society in relation to understanding Islam as a way of life. Similarly, K.H. Mas Mansur believed that achieving an independent Indonesia required the development of political awareness, as resistance against the colonizers would not succeed without this consciousness. The development of the Indonesian Islamic Party (PII), for example, cannot be separated from Mas Mansur's role as a high-ranking leader of Muhammadiyah. In this context, it is clear that, alongside his active participation in the social-religious organization Muhammadiyah and his leadership within it, Mas Mansur was also deeply involved in politics.

Abstract

Adanya wadah bagi masyarakat dalam mengelola sampah dalam hal ini yaitu Bank Sampah Resik Becik yang berada di Krobokan Semarang. Selain dapat mengurangi tingkat pembuangan sampah di Tempat Pembuangan Akhir (TPA), sampah-sampah tersebut juga dapat dimanfaatkan untuk pembuatan produk kreasi yang dapat dipasarkan. Adanya penurunan dalam penjualan produk di Bank sampah Resik becik di karenakan adanya pandemi dan masih menggunakan system yang tradisional. Di era seperti pemilik usaha sangat di haruskan kreatif dalam memanfaatkan kecanggihan teknologi dan informasi. Dari perspektif komunikasi Electronic Commerce (EC) merupakan pengiriman informasi produk/layanan, atau pembayaran melalui lini telepon, jaringan komputer atau sarana elektronik lainnya. Teknologi informasi   khususnya internet sangat mempengaruhi dunia marketing. Dengan adanya hal tersebut upaya peningkatan penjualan yang ada di Bank Sampah Resik Becik dengan mempromosikan penjualan melalui media sosial dengan menggunakan channel youtube melalui materi materi yang telah kami pelajari di mata kuliah strategi pemasaran. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan youtube memiliki jumlah persentase tertinggi diantara intragram dan tiktok.

Abstract

Pengmas kemendikbud 2024 kali ini ditujukan pada kelompok Ibu-ibu Pengajian “Cibi-cibi Lele” berlokasi di Kampung Poncol Pakansari RT 02 RW 05 Kel. Nanggewer Mekar Kec. Cibinong. Diketuai oleh Ibu Putri Arie Rahayu. Produktifitas telah berjalan selama 1 tahun mulai bulan Maret 2023. Program diversifikasi pemberdayaan ibu-ibu Cibi-Cibi Lele ini mampu meningkatkan kreativitas dalam mengolah makanan sehat untuk peningkatan gizi keluarga, khususnya gizi anak, dan juga menjadi peluang besar untuk meningkatkan ekonomi keluarga. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengmas ini adalah membantu mengembangan produksi pengolahan ikan lele berupa makanan olahan siap saji yang selama ini penjualan berputar hanya sebatas tetangga sekitar. Diharapkan kedepan menjadi komoditas ekspor. Tim akan menyediakan alat bantu memasak berupa kompor induksi. Sumber energy listrik untuk memanaskan kompor induksi akan dipasang Panel Surya pendamping listrik PLN. Hasil olahan ikan lele akan dikemas rapi dengan logo khusus dan akan dipasarkan lewat penjualan kuliner e-commerce. Metode yang digunakan dimulai dari tahapan persiapan, sosialisasi, praktik lapangan, dan evaluasi. Evaluasi dilakukan untuk menilai keberhasilan program dan respons peserta terhadap pelatihan yang diberikan. Hasil kegiatan yang dicapai adalah ibu-ibu Cibi-Cibi Lele memiliki keterampilan dalam memproduksi ikan lele crispy dan nugget lele serta sudah terbuka peluang market e-commerce.

Abstract

The lack of applications that can be provided by libraries to support Arabic language learning is the main background for this research. So the aim of this research is to explore library strategies in improving Arabic language skills among students at Tribakti Islamic University Lirboyo Kediri through the use of applications that can be used by students, IPUSNAS. The IPUSNAS application, which is a digital library service, offers access to various collections of books and materials in Arabic that can support the language learning process. In this context, the strategy implemented includes providing training on application use, as well as utilizing the IPUSNAS application using library facilities. This research uses qualitative methods with data collection techniques through interviews and observation. The research results show that implementing a library strategy based on the IPUSNAS application has significant potential in improving students' Arabic language skills, expanding their access to quality learning resources, and improving their reading skills and understanding of Arabic texts. It is hoped that these findings can contribute to the development of effective digital library models in the context of Arabic language education.

Abstract

The legal construction in the Criminal Code (KUHP) and Islamic law the ban of extramarital sexual encounters, yet in Mount Kemukus, a different reality prevails. The formulation of the problems in this research are; first, what is the pattern of pilgrims' actions on Mount Kemukus? and second, what is the ideal of legal culture in Mount Kemukus? This study is from the perspective of legal culture and Islamic law. This paper examines the relationship between legal culture and Islamic law. This research is a field study employing a multidisciplinary socio-legal methodology. Observation and interviews were used to collect primary data, whilst a review of the literature was used to collect secondary data. This article combines social theory, legal theory, and Islamic legal theory to form an eclectic theory. This study found two general patterns, santri pilgrims and non-santri pilgrims, which represent the motivations, sources of belief, and patterns of pilgrims' actions; and (2) the ideal of legal culture in Mount Kemukus is to perform tawaṣul to Prince Samudro without performing non-marital sex rituals, and the law functions as a tool of social engineering for the benefit of society. The findings of this study suggest that in conditions of compulsion and despair, individuals seek justification for their actions even though they are against the social order. This research is useful for legal policies that regulate rituals and pilgrimages.
