Abstract

 The study aimed at measuring the effect of translanguaging approach in teaching Arabic reading comprehension to the second semester students of Indonesian Education Department, Universitas Iqra Buru. 64 students involved as the participants through simple random sampling technique. 32 students participated in each of the experimental and control group. The researchers used reading test of written test to obtain information about the students’ achievemnt in reading on the use of translanguaging approach and it was distributed to the respondents after the last treatment given. To find out the mean score, standard deviation and the t-test value between the pretest and the posttest the researchers used the SPSS 17 program. The researchers found that the use of translanguaging approach in learning Arabic reading comprehension improves the students’ ability of Arabic reading comprehension is better than the conventional method.

Abstract

In reality, not a few teachers who have been certified as educators are less competent in teaching the field of study. Many teachers are also able to master the subject matter, but they have difficult to present the material. This research applied a qualitative method using a case study design. It was carried out in the State Madrasah schools of Salahutu District, Central Maluku Regency. This research was conducted from August to 02 November 2017. The subjects of this study were 3 Arabic teachers, two principals and 6 class students totaling 12 informants. Based on the results, it was found that the pedagogic competence of Arabic language teachers was still relatively low due to the several indicators that were not implemented during the learning process. The personality’s competence of Arabic language teachers is relatively good compared to their pedagogical competence. The lacks of training, facilities, and rewards have caused the low educational competence of teachers. Their personal competence is due to strict supervision and their commitment to building the ummah as followers of religion and not because of their profession as teachers. Students are motivated to learn Arabic due to the motivation is given by the teacher, the mu'amalah is good between teachers and students, and there is a continuous and rigorous evaluation.

Abstract

Facebook is a social media that is very popular with students in Indonesia. Thus, this study attempted to examine the increased of students’ Arabic acquisition through Facebook group learning. This research was quantitative research using quasi-experimental design. The sample of this study consists of two classes from the students of the Arabic language education department at UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim. The instrument of this research was writing test. The results of this study indicated an increase of students’ Arabic acquisition so the researchers concluded that Facebook groups can improve the students’ ability to write in Arabic.

Abstract

The development of technology can be used as a means of supporting learning. Like learning based on digital products for students.  The study aimed at describing and analyzing the implementation of learning Arabic Writing Skill (Maharah Kitabah) based on digital products, namely the creation and publication of journal articles and its effects on the learning process. This research was conducted on 22 students writing skills class (Maharah Kitabah) 3, 5th of the semester. The method in this research is descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques are, 1) observation of learning writing skills (Maharah Kitabah) III, 2) interviews with lecturers and students writing skills classes (Maharah Kitabah) III about the implementation of Arabic Writing Skill (Maharah Kitabah)based on digital product and the impact, and 3) documentation of learning data and works student digital products. Maharah Kitabah learning based on digital products in the form of writing scientific articles online by utilizing references and references of digital managers has a good impact for the students who took part in the Maharah Kitabah learning process with this model, all students were able to make Arabic journal articles using Mendeley and Turnitin citations, and students were able to publish Arabic journal articles to national e-journals.

Abstract

Education has new requirements for teaching the individual how to teach himself by himself to continuous education and lifelong learning. Self-regulated learning is one of the central axes to accommodate these rapid and successive developments, mainly when global crises occurred. Self-regulated learning can help students become independent learners to achieve their goals. It can also reach distinctive performance, especially for developing the linguistic skills represented in speech skills, whose impact appears daily through effective human communication, whether oral or written communication. The research technique used is a literature study. This study aims to shed light on the self-regulated learning strategy to developing speaking skills, and its implications, in terms of the effects of the Corona pandemic (COVID 19) on various educational activities. Also, clarifying what is meant by speech and developing his skills, and knowing the learning strategy and how to use it in developing speech skills. The problem-solving strategy is considered one of the essential self-learning strategies. The learner independently develops his skills and knowledge by searching for practical solutions to real problems by relying on oneself. Self-regulated learning is considered a successful method for developing speech skills. The student's performance as the independent learner can be measured through his various daily social activities in order to help him evaluate his strategies followed and choose the most difficult ones to achieve the goals of the self-education process, and to reach the required level of language skill.

Abstract

The article discusses modern media used during teaching Arabic to non-native speakers, especially e-learning which has become required in the new world, especially in the spread of infectious diseases. This situation urges the teaching system to switch to E-learning, which helps in studies, particularly during the lockdown period in the pandemic. It benefits the teaching by modern technologies and media in transmitting the language to learners. Learning Arabic has increased in recent times, and learners as a modern generation are using modern technologies to learn. This research on E-teaching of Arabic to non-native speakers in a pandemic is urgent, especially in the pandemic era. It must use media in teaching, especially in teaching Arabic. With the emergence of the Corona pandemic that has spread throughout the world, the demand raises high. The results were as following: use of media in education makes teaching more effective and integrated, give effective results, raises the competence of the teacher and the recipient of the language, increases attention and excitement among students, and develops the ability to teach with communication, and the media facilitate the education process even in the spread of diseases and does not interrupt the chain of education between the learner and the teacher. We arrived with results that the necessity of acquaintance with modern methods and technical means and using them will give fruitful results.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the role of digital learning in Arabic and explain how effective methods are in learning Arabic in the digital era. This is qualitative descriptive research. Data was collected by observation and interviews with students of the 2023 Arabic language development special program at UIN Malang, Indonesia, about the learning methods used. The research results are that the currently developing digital era can make it easier for students to learn by using technology as a learning medium. A practical method of learning Arabic is getting used to answering online exercises to practice reading, writing, and speaking so that one can master learning Arabic. Apart from that, the current problem is that technology also hurts young people because of their dependence on cell phones, which can also be used as entertainment.
