Abstract

CO2 gas is a greenhouse gas that causes global warming. Greenhouse gases are gases in the atmosphere that can absorb and reflect infrared radiation from the Earth's surface. Currently, the energy demand still depends on fossil fuels. On the other hand, CO2 emissions from burning fossil fuels continue to increase and contribute as greenhouse gases to the atmosphere. CO2 capture is an effort to reduce the burden of CO2 emissions into the atmosphere and is part of the Carbon, Capture, and Storage (CCS) protocol. The CO2 absorption process applied in the chemical industry is one of the CO2 absorptions using NaOH and Na2CO3 solutions as absorbents. This research aims to determine the effect of absorbent flow rate on the percentage of absorbed CO2. The method used in this research is the SLR (Systematic Literature Review) method to identify all available research. The absorbent flow rate variations used are 1 liter/minute, 1.5 liters/minute, 2 liters/minute, 2.5 liters/minute, and 3 liters/minute. The absorption process using NaOH absorbent is capable of absorbing CO2 gas with a maximum absorption of 95.52% and a minimum of 79.14%. Meanwhile, in the Na2CO3 absorbent, it is capable of absorbing CO2 gas with a maximum amount absorbed of 72.45% and a minimum of 35.47%.

Abstract

Pelatihan Penggunaan Website INAWIS bagi Staf Pelabuhan Lambada Lhok adalah kegiatan pengabdian yang bertujuan meningkatkan kemampuan staf pelabuhan dalam menggunakan teknologi informasi untuk mendapatkan informasi cuaca dan data maritim yang relevan. Dalam pelatihan ini, staf pelabuhan dilatih menggunakan website INAWIS yang dikelola oleh Badan Geofisika dan Meteorologi (BMKG) untuk mendapatkan informasi cuaca dan data maritim yang berguna dalam operasional pelabuhan. Hasil pelatihan ini adalah staf pelabuhan dapat menggunakan website INAWIS dengan lebih baik dan efektif untuk meningkatkan keselamatan dan efisiensi operasional pelabuhan.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of women in improving the family economy by utilizing the yard with the green economy concept. The method used in this study is a qualitative method using library analysis tools or library research studies. Library research studies are methods used by researchers to collect data or find out sources related to this topic which can be obtained from various sources such as journals, books, the internet, and other sources. Data obtained by tracing the source of the literature. The results in this study are that the role of women is important in improving the family economy. With the existence of a government program, namely a group of women farmers who can manage unproductive yards to be productive. By cultivating hydroponic plants that help improve the economy and welfare, as well as to have a positive impact on improving the quality of the environment.

Abstract

Soil serves as a medium for the absorption of greenhouse gases due to its organic carbon content; however, its capacity to absorb greenhouse gases has been declining. One of the contributors to carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions in agriculture is soil microorganism respiration, while high nitrogen (N) loss is attributed to its mobility. The application of biochar has the potential to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and improve soil quality. This study aimed to analyze the effects of different types and doses of biochar on reducing CO2 emissions, increasing nitrate levels, and enhancing microorganism populations. The research was conducted in the Soil Laboratory of Agroecotechnology, Malikussaleh University, using a completely randomized factorial design (CRD) with two treatment factors. Factor 1 was the type of biochar: (J1) rice husk biochar, (J2) giant bamboo biochar, and (J3) sweet corn cob biochar. Factor 2 was the biochar dosage: (D0) 0 tons ha⁻¹, (D1) 10 tons ha⁻¹, (D2) 20 tons ha⁻¹, (D3) 30 tons ha⁻¹, and (D4) 40 tons ha⁻¹. Parameters analyzed included CO2 emissions, soil nitrate levels, and microorganism populations. The results showed that rice husk biochar effectively reduced CO2 emissions from soil microorganism respiration to 4.08 kg CO2 ha⁻¹ hour⁻¹, increased soil nitrate levels to 8.14 ppm, and enhanced microorganism populations. The optimal biochar dosage was 30 tons ha⁻¹.

Abstract

This research explores the development of students' critical thinking in mathematics learning through a longitudinal study approach. With a focus on problem solving, creative thinking, and conceptual understanding, this study aims to understand how students develop critical thinking skills over time. A longitudinal research method was used with 100 students from two secondary schools in Medan city as participants. Results showed significant improvements in students' critical thinking scores from the beginning to the end of the semester, with teacher training interventions and differences between schools making significant contributions. The implication of this study is the importance of innovative learning approaches and support for teachers in improving students' critical thinking skills in the context of mathematics learning

Abstract

Self-esteem yang rendah pada remaja dapat menyebabkan masalah seperti depresi, kecemasan, dan prestasi akademik yang buruk. Olahraga diakui sebagai salah satu faktor yang dapat meningkatkan self-esteem. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi pengaruh intervensi program olahraga terhadap peningkatan self-esteem pada siswa SMP Muhammadiyah Kota Jayapura tahun 2024. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain eksperimen dengan pendekatan pre-test dan post-test dengan kelompok kontrol (Randomized Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design). Sampel terdiri dari 60 siswa yang dipilih secara cluster random sampling, dengan 30 siswa dalam kelompok eksperimen yang mengikuti program olahraga selama 12 minggu dan 30 siswa dalam kelompok kontrol. Self-esteem diukur menggunakan Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale (RSES) yang telah diadaptasi untuk konteks Indonesia. Data dianalisis dengan analisis deskriptif dan analisis kovarian (ANCOVA). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan mean skor self-esteem pada semua kategori (Kekuatan, Keberartian, Kebajikan, dan Kemampuan) setelah intervensi program olahraga. Kategori Keberartian mengalami peningkatan paling signifikan dari kategori rendah menjadi sedang. Secara keseluruhan, intervensi program olahraga efektif dalam meningkatkan self-esteem siswa SMP Muhammadiyah Kota Jayapura, terutama dalam aspek keberartian diri.

Abstract

This study aims to enhance the accuracy of Islamic religious knowledge assessment among Madrasah students in Kolaka, Indonesia, by applying the K-Means clustering technique. The background of this research is based on the variation in students' understanding of two important aspects: Fiqh and Aqidah Akhlak. The method used includes data collection from 181 students, followed by descriptive analysis and determination of the number of clusters using the Elbow Method. The results show that the optimal number of clusters is three, representing the categories of High, Medium, and Low. After applying K-Means, a Silhouette Coefficient score of 0.548 was obtained, indicating that the student clustering was effective and valid. These findings provide insights for educators to design learning strategies that are more aligned with the students' needs and highlight the importance of using data analysis techniques in education. Thus, this study contributes to the development of more accurate assessment methods in the context of religious education

Abstract

Designing an Arduino-Based Empty Toilet Information Prototype, the electronic components needed are not many, however, the Arduino language, namely C++, a derivative of the C language, is complicated because you have to relearn its functions and how to write them, which is different from Java or Delphi. Implementation of Arduino-based Empty Toilet Information Design is carried out by simulating the process of using paid public toilets and can also be used as a Portable Toilet for other activities such as natural disasters, concerts or other mass activities. How to analyze the design and construction of toilet information, Arduino is needed as a microcontroller which receives input from sensors by writing the C++ program language to give commands to the sensors so that they become input and are executed by Arduino.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji penerapan model pembelajaran Teams Games Tournament (TGT) dalam mata pelajaran Matematika, khususnya pada materi Barisan dan Deret di salah satu Madrasah Aliyah Negeri di kota Barru. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis dampak penerapan model TGT terhadap pemahaman konsep dan motivasi belajar siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas X yang melakukan pembelajaran dengan model TGT. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui tes hasil belajar dan angket motivasi siswa, yang dianalisis dengan membandingkan kondisi sebelum dan setelah implementasi model pembelajaran TGT. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model TGT memberikan peningkatan yang signifikan terhadap pemahaman konsep siswa dalam materi Barisan dan Deret. Selain itu, model ini juga mampu meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa, yang terlihat dari meningkatnya partisipasi aktif dalam diskusi dan turnamen akademik. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran TGT dapat menjadi alternatif yang inovatif dan efektif dalam meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran matematika, khususnya dalam memahami konsep abstrak seperti Barisan dan Deret
