ABSTRACTÂ TheÂ background of this research is that the students mathematical concept apprehensions are low and the students like to ask to her friends reather than to teachers. So low students learning out comes VIII-grade of SMPN 1 Basa Ampek Balai Tapan of year 2013/2014. The purpose of this research is to know whether the students mathematical concept apprehensions by applying the snowball throwing cooperative learning model is better than using the conventional learning for the VIII-grade students of SMPN 1 Basa Ampek Balai Tapan. This is experimental research with random to subject design. The population in this research is the VIII-grade students of SMPN 1 Basa Ampek Balai Tapan. The technique of sample classes were determined randomly. The instrument used in this research is test for the mathematical concept apprehension. Based on the result of data analysis, it is know that both sample classes distribute normally and homogenously. So that the hypothesis is accepted, that means that the students mathematical concept apprehension. Using the snowball throwing cooperative learning model is better than that using the conventional learning for the VIII-grade students of SMPN 1 Basa Ampek Balai Tapan

ABSTRACTÂ This research was grounded by the studentsâ low achievement in mathematics at SMP Semen Padang. This research was aimed at revealing whether the mathematics conceptual understanding of the students taught by using Sucker Ball game was better than that of students taught by using conventional learning in class VIII of SMP Semen Padang. By using random sampling technique, class VIII.5 was chosen as the experimental class and class VIII.1 was chosen as the control one. The instrument of the research was an essay post-test whose reliability was 0,86. The data collected was analyzed by using normality test, homogeneity test and t-test. The result of data analysis showed that the average score of the students in the experimental class (70,15) was higher than those in the control class (50,06). Furthermore, the result of statistical test indicated that the value of tcalculated (5,8407) was bigger than ttable (1,645). Based on these results, it was concluded that the mathematics conceptual understanding of the students taught by using Sucker Ball game was better than that of students taught by using conventional learning in class VIII of SMP Semen Padang.

Â ABSTRACTThis research is motivated by the students mathematical understanding concepts which are still low and less active in learning process. This research aims to determine whether students mathematical understanding concepts by implementing cooperative learning model type Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) better than the students mathematical understanding concepts by implementing conventional learning and find out how the development of students learning activity progess by implementing cooperative learning model type Team Assisted Individualization (TAI). This kind of this research is experimental. The sampling technique is random sampling. The instrument used is the observation of student activity sheets and final test students understanding of mathematical concepts. Form of the test used is the reliability essay 0,741. The results obtained from testing the hypothesis P-value = 0.013 is less than a = 0.05 then the hypothesis is accepted. It can be concluded that the students mathematical understanding concepts by implementing cooperative learning model type Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) is better than the students mathematical understanding concepts by implementing conventional learning class IX students MTsN Lembah Gumanti.Â

Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â ABSTRACTThe research was based on students matematic concept comprehension still low of XI IPA Â grade students of SMA Negeri 1 Pasaman. The purpose of this research is to find which one is better between the using in âBisnis Berisikoâ Technique with studentâs work sheet compared with conventional learning in studentâs understanding of learning mathematics. This is the kind of experiment research, with the subject random. The population of this research is all of XI IPA grade students SMA Negeri 1 Pasaman that consists of and clasres. The sample is taken randomly and XI IPA.3 as a experiment class and XI IPA.4 as a control class. The instrument of this research is the find test with indicator consept understanding and sclaring based on analytic ârubricâ. The form of test is a essay concept with reliable test Â is 0,78. The analysis data used is the test of t with MINITAB software. Based of result in analysis data found that two sample classes are distributed normally and having the homogeny variation in a level 95%. The hypothesis testing find P-value = 0,023 and itâs smaller than at Â = 0,05. So, itâs can concluded that the studentâs concepts understanding by using âBisnis Berisikoâ technique is better than the conventional learning in XI IPA grade students of SMA Negeri 1 Pasaman.

ABSTRACTThis research is motivated by the students understanding of mathematical concepts are still low. This study aims to determine whether students understanding of mathematical concepts by applying Bisnis Beresiko Technique better than students understanding of mathematical concepts with the application of conventional learning. This type of research is experimental, the research design random design to subject. The population in this research is the students in grade VIII SMPN I Sutera. Sampling was done by random sampling, that is similar to the decision classes VIII.3 as eksperimental and VIII.1 as control. The instruments that is used in this essay test. Results of data analysis that the two classes are normally distributed and homogeneous samples and t test results obtained P-value=0,02 is less than Î±=0,05, so that hypothesis is approved. It can be concluded that the students understanding of mathematical concepts by applying Bisnis Beresiko Technique grade better than students understanding of mathematical concepts by applying conventional learning models VIII grade SMPN 1 Sutera.

ABSTRACTÂ The background of this research was the lack of students understanding mathematical concept, the students didnât attentions for teacher explanation and lacke students noted the subject describes teachers. The purpose of this research is to knows students understanding in mathematical concept with applying active learning strategy by using guided note taking with quiz to be better from the student mathematical concept with apply the conventional learning at grade eighth of SMPN 23 Padang of academic 2013/2014 years. This research is experimental research with the random design of subject. The population is the students grade eight of SMP 23 Padang of academic 2013/2014 years. The sample has to with randomly that choosen grade VIII1 has experimental class and VIII2 has control class. The instrument are quiz and test. The type of test is essay with reliabilitas test is 0,86. The analyze technique of the data using one side test t with software MINITAB. Based on analyze of the data to the real Â Î±=0,05 the result P-value = 0,008. P-value Â is less than from Î±= 0,05, so the hypothesis of the research will accept, that mean is the understanding of students mathematical concept with apply active learning strategy by using guided note taking with quiz is better from the students understanding mathematical concept with apply conventional learning at grade eighth of SMPN 23 Padang.

ABSTRACTThe research based on the lack of problem about students are less holding responsible in doing given and studentsâ comprehensionâs mathematical concept. This research had a purpose to know that studentsâ comprehension mathematical concept in which the learning model applied was Technique Business of Berisiko, better than studentsâ comprehension in was conventional learning at grade VIII of SMPN 2 Lembah Melintang. Type of this research was experimental by research with random research design on the subject. Data analysis was done by using t-test with MINITABâs software. Result of hypothesis testing, the researcher got p-value = 0,033 < , thus the hypothesis of this research was accepted. There can be concluded that studentsâ comprehension mathematical concept in which the teaching model applied was technique business of Berisiko, was better than studentsâ comprehension of mathematical concept in which the applied was by conventional learning at grade VIII of SMPN 2 Lembah Melintang.

The purpose of this research is to know whether students understanding of mathematical concept by applying cooperative learning type Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) better than students understanding of mathematical concept by applying conventional learning at class X SMAN 12 Padang. The kind of this research is experimental research which use randomly research design to subject. The population of this research is student class X SMAN 12 Padang. Class X.3 as experimental class and X.4 as control class. The instrument used in this research is final test of result mathematical conceptsÂ understanding with reability test is The technique of data analysis used is t-test. BasedÂ on the final test mathematics value student at both sample classes are gotten and ,it means that the hypothesis can be accepted because . It can be concluded that students understanding of mathematical concept by applying cooperative learning type Students Teams Achievement Division (STAD) better than students understanding of Â mathematical concept by applying conventional learning at students class X SMAN 12 Padang.
