Abstract

Abstrak - Pertumbuhan hewan ternak merupakan salah satu aspek penting dalam dunia peternakan. Masalah bisa terjadi jika jumlah ternak tidak dikendalikan. Salah satunya adalah sulit meningkatkan kesejahteraan populasi hewan itu. Oleh karena itu, laju pertumbuhannya perlu diperhatikan. Perubahan populasi dipengaruhi oleh kelahiran, kematian dan kelangsungan hidup. Pertumbuhan penduduk dapat menunjukkan apakah jumlah populasi pada tahun berikutnya akan bertambah, berkurang, atau tetap sama. Matriks dapat digunakan untuk menentukan laju pertumbuhan populasi. Matriks dalam matematika dapat digunakan untuk menangani model matematika, seperti mencari laju pertumbuhan suatu populasi. Matriks Leslie digunakan untuk memprediksi jumlah populasi dan laju pertumbuhan populasi. Matriks Leslie sering disebut sebagai model pertumbuhan populasi. Matriks Leslie hanya dapat digunakan untuk populasi betina karena hanya mereka yang dapat melahirkan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menerapkan Matriks Leslie dalam memprediksi populasi dan laju pertumbuhan populasi sapi betina di Kabupaten Manokwari, Papua Barat Tahun 2026. Dengan menggunakan Matriks Leslie diperoleh  dimana , menunjukkan bahwa laju pertumbuhan populasi sapi betina di Kabupaten Manokwari mengalami peningkatan pada Tahun 2026Kata kunci: Laju Pertumbuhan Populasi; Matriks Leslie; Nilai Eigen; Abstract - Livestock growth is an important aspect of animal husbandry. Problems can arise if livestock numbers are not controlled. One of these is the difficulty of improving the welfare of the animal population. Therefore, its growth rate needs to be considered. Population changes are influenced by births, deaths, and survival. Population growth can indicate whether the population will increase, decrease, or remain the same in the following year. Matrices can be used to determine the population growth rate. Matrices in mathematics can be used to handle mathematical models, such as finding the growth rate of a population. The Leslie Matrix is used to predict population size and population growth rate. The Leslie Matrix is often referred to as a population growth model. The Leslie Matrix can only be used for female populations because only they can give birth. This study aims to apply the Leslie Matrix to predict the population and growth rate of female cattle in Manokwari Regency, West Papua in 2026. Using the Leslie Matrix, is obtained, where , indicating that the growth rate of the female cattle population in Manokwari Regency will increase in 2026.Keywords: Population Growth; Leslie Matrix; Eigen Value;

Abstract

Introduction Eating habits in preschool-aged children play an important role in forming the foundation of long-term health. Low consumption of fruits and vegetables and high intake of sugary drinks have been reported to contribute to an increased risk of non-communicable diseases (NCDs) in adulthood. Nutrition education for parents is one of the main strategies for improving children’s dietary patterns. Purpose: This study aims to analyze the influence of education delivered through WhatsApp groups on changes in fruit and vegetable consumption as well as the limitation of sugary drinks in preschool-aged children at TK ’Aisyiyah Padang. Method: The study used a quasi-experimental one-group pretest–posttest design with 53 respondents (total sampling). Educational material was delivered through a WhatsApp group for one month. Result: The Wilcoxon Signed-Rank test showed an increase in knowledge scores from 30.11 to 33.30 (p 0.0001). Discussion: These findings indicate that digital-based education has the potential to become an effective, affordable, and accessible medium in family health promotion. Further research is recommended to assess actual behavior changes and include a control group
