Abstract

AbstractThis research aims to develop of the Al-Qur’an-based mathematic teaching materials in number sequences topic for grade VIII students in junior high school. ADDIE model is used for develop this teaching materials. The quality of teaching material is reviewed based on three indicators: validity, effectiveness, and practicality. The instrument of data collection are validity questionnaire, post-test, and the practicality questionnaire. To know validity of teaching materials, subject matter expert and media expert filled the validity questionnaire. To know efektiveness of teaching materials, students are given post-test at the last of limited try-out. To know practicality of teaching materials, teacher and students filled the practicality questionnaire. The results of research covering the average score of validity questionnaire is 4,4; students passed through Minimum Completeness Criteria of 62.5%; and the average score of practicality questionnaire is 4,35. The conclusion of research is the mathematic teaching materials in number sequance topic for grade VIII students in junior high school have good quality by fulfilling the valid, effective, and practical to use. Keywords:   Teaching Materials, Al-Qur'an Learning Resources, Number Sequences

Abstract

AbstractThis research aims to determine and describe concept mistakes of students in answering questions on congruence material using the Certainty of Response Index (CRI). The method used is descriptive method. The research was conducted in SMA Negeri 9 Pontianak. Based on the results of the analysis using the CRI students experienced concept mistakes with an average of 53.34%. Mistakes when restating the concept of congruence have been studied as many as 18 students (50%). Students with high confidence incorrectly choose the right statement related to the concept of congruence. Mistakes when classifying objects based on whether or not fulfilled the requirements that form the concept of congruence as many as 21 students (58.33%). Students with high confidence incorrectly determine the congruent flat shape. Mistakes when applying the concept of congruence logically are 20 students (55.56%). Students with high confidence incorrectly determine the ratio of sides and angles that are mutually compatible. Mistakes when identifying the characteristics of a concept and recognize the conditions that determine a congruence concept of 20 students (55.56%). Students with high confidence misidentify the characteristics that are the requirements of two flat shapes can be said to be congruent.  Keywords: Concept Mistakes, Congruence, Certainty of Response Index (CRI)

Abstract

 AbstractThis research is to find out the students problem posing ability on social arithmetic material in class VIII Junior High School 8 Pontianak. This study used descriptive qualitative method. Data collected using tests, interviews, and documentation. The subjects of this study were 6 out of 25 students of class VIII E Junior High School 8 Pontianak representing the answers of other students. The test results show that the ability of students to make questions about social arithmetic is good, this can be seen from the work of students who are able to make story questions based on images presented to him as much as 66.6% of 6 students and the ability of students to solve questions about social arithmetic is good, this can be seen from the work of students who are able to solve the problem stories made by as much as 50% of 6 students.   Keywords: Problem posing, Social Arithmetic

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to describe the process of developing spiritual and social attitudes competencies, in a holistic learning of mathematics sourced in the Qur'an. Qualitative research is applied in the preparation of teaching materials based on the integration of core competencies of revised Curriculum-13, and the development of attitude competencies in mathematics learning based on the Qur'anic. The subjects of the study were SMP / MTs students in the lessons of Straight Line Equation. The research data includes documents, learning recordings, and interviews, and it’s analyzed using the Miles & Huberman Method. The study resulted in: (1) mathematics teaching materials on the topic of the Straight Line Equations sourced of the Qur'anic (al Anfal) verses 65-66, to teach holistically, (2) The process of developing competency attitudes is carried out as long as the learning takes place from introduction to closing the lesson. In developing a spiritual attitude, two students are assigned to read the verses of the Qur’an and their translations, then discuss the content of mathematics. Students are aroused by curiosity with questions about verse, working collaboratively with friends, choosing the best ideas (tolerant), and being responsible for completing tasks. In developing skills and knowledge competencies, students are guided to achieve the process of modeling problems related to the Qur'anic verses, so that they find problem solving procedures, or mathematical concepts from the topics studied.Keywords: attitude competency development, holistic mathematics learning.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan representasi visual dan verbal (lisan dan tulisan) matematika siswa kelas IX SMP Negeri 2 Sungai Raya dalam menyelesaikan Sistem Persamaan Linear Dua Variabel (SPLDV). Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian deskriptif dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 27 orang siswa kelas IX F yang kemudian dibagi menjadi 3 kelompok.  Sebelum diberikan soal tes, kemampuan representasi visual dan verbal siswa dalam menyelesaikan SPLDV masih rendah yakni 42%. Setelah diberikan soal tes, kemampuan representasi visual dan verbal siswa dalam menyelesaikan SPLDV meningkat. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa soal tes yang diberikan dapat meningkatkan kemampuan representasi visual dan verbal siswa dalam menyelesaikan SPLDV.   Kata kunci : representasi visual, representasi verbal. Abstract: The aims of this research were to increase visual reprentation capabilty and verbal in written or spoken in solving the System of Linear Equation Two Variables (SLETV) of class IX of SMP Negeri 2 Sungai Raya. This research was descriptive. It was qualitative approach. The subject was 27 students of class IX F of SMP Negeri 2 Sungai Raya which divided into 3 groups. Before the test given, the capability of students visual representation and verbal SLETV solving was low it was about 42%. After the test given, the capability of students visual representation and verbal SLETV solving was increased. This research shows that test item given can increase the students visual representation capability and students verbal in solving SLETV. Key words : visual reprentation, verbal reprentation.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan berpikir kritis aspek analisis siswa dalam penyelesaian masalah materi peluang di kelas XI SMA Negeri 3 Pontianak. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif  dengan bentuk penelitian survei. Adapun yang menjadi subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah 37 siswa kelas XII IPA 2 SMA Negeri 3 Pontianak. Hasil analisis skor tes dan wawancara menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan berpikir kritis aspek analysis siswa secara keseluruhan tergolong dalam kategori sedang. Untuk masing-masing indikator aspek analysis, kemampuan siswa pada indikator memeriksa ide-ide dan indikator mengidentifikasi argumen termasuk kategori tinggi, sedangkan untuk indikator menganalisis argumen ide-ide termasuk katgori sedang. Kata kunci : Kemampuan Berpikir Kritis, Aspek analysis Abstract: This research aims to know student’s critical thinking analysis aspect ability in problem solving of probability content in grade 11th at SMA Negeri 3 Pontianak. The research used descriptive method with survey research design. The sample of this research were 37 students in grade XII IPA 2 at SMA Negeri 3 Pontianak. The score analyze and interview show that as whole, student’s critical thinking analysis aspect ability in medium category. But, if we saw for each indicator, student’s ability in examining ideas and identifying arguments indicator classified in high category, and in analyizing arguments of ideas indicator classified in medium category.  P Keywords: Critical Thinking skill, Analysis aspect

Abstract

Abstrak : Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan translasi dan transformasi representasi siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal persamaan linier satu variabel. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMP Negeri 2 Pontianak. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif studi kasus dengan mengambil satu kelas sebagai subjek penelitian. Berdasarkan analisis data hasil tes, diketahui bahwa kemampuan translasi dan transformasi siswa termasuk dalam kategori kurang sekali. Banyak siswa yang masih mengalami kesulitan untuk membuat suatu bentuk sajian tertentu dari bentuk sajian yang lain ataupun melakukan manipulasi dalam suatu bentuk sajian tertentu. Hal ini dikarenakan translasi dan transformasi yang dibahas dalam penelitian ini sebagian besar jarang ditemui siswa dalam keseharian pembelajarannya. Kata kunci : representasi, translasi, transformasi Abstract : The aim of this research is to determine students translation and transformation among representation ability in solving linear equation with one variable problems. This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 2 Pontianak. The method used in this research was descriptive with the form of case study by taking one class as the subject of research. Based on the data analysis, it can be concluded that students translation and transformation ability categorized as very bad. Many students still have problem in making a particular representation from another representation and manipulating a particular representation. It was because the translation and transformation which discussed in this research were rarely met by the students in their daily learning process. Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan kemampuan penalaran matematis ditinjau dari analogi siswa dalam menyelesaikan operasi hitung aljabar di kelas VIII SMP Kemala Bhayangkari. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif dengan bentuk penelitian survey. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 24 siswa di kelas VIIIB SMP Kemala Bhayangkari. Hasil tes kemampuan penalaran analogi menunjukan bahwa jumlah siswa yang berada pada kategori kemampuan penalaran analogi tinggi adalah 4 dari 24 siswa. Jumlah siswa yang berada pada kategori kemampuan penalaran analogi menengah adalah 16 dari 24 siswa. Jumlah siswa yang berada pada kategori kemampuan penalaran analogi rendah adalah 4 dari 24 siswa. Dapat disimpulkan kebanyakan kemampuan penalaran analogi siswa kelas VIIIB SMP Kemala Bhayangkari dalam menyelesaikan operasi hitung aljabar berada pada kategori menengah.   Kata kunci : Penalaran Matematis, Analogi Abstract: This research aims to explain mathematical reasoning ability in terms of student’s analogy in solving algebraic of eighth grade students of SMP Kemala Bhayangkari. This research used descriptive method with survey form. The subjects of this research were 24 students of class VIIIB in SMP Kemala Bhayangkari. The result of analogy reasoning ability test showed that the number of students whose analogy reasoning ability was classified as high category were 4 of 24 students. The number of students whose analogy reasoning ability was classified as medium category were 16 of 24 students. The number of students whose analogy reasoning ability was classified as low category were 4 of 24 students. It could be concluded that most of student’s analogy reasoning ability in class VIIIB SMP of SMP Kemala Bhayangkari in solving algebraic operations was classified as medium category. Abstract

AbstractThis research aims to find the effectiveness of the application of the probing-prompting type of cooperative model in learning integral materials of class XI SMA. The method used in this research is pre-experimental method with one-shot case study design. The aspects that be  used to determine the effectiveness of learning using probing-prompting type of cooperative model are teacher’s implementation in managing learning, student’s activities, student’s learning outcomes, and student’s responses. The used  data collection techniques are measurement, observation, and indirect communication techniques. The used data collection tools are the student’s learning outcomes test, which contain 4 essay questions, the observation sheet of teacher’s implementation in managing learning, the observation sheet of student’s activity and student’s responses questionnaire. The research data were analyzed descriptively and using one sample T-test. The result that obtained are teacher's implementation in managing learning is good, student’s activity is classified as active, student's learning completeness classically is not fulfilled ( = -1,6 < = 1,68), and very positive responses by the student. Because there is a criteria of the effectiveness that not fulfilled, so the learning using the application of the probing-prompting type of cooperative model in learning integral material at class XI SMA Negeri 4 Pontianak is not effective.Keywords: Application of learning, Probing-Prompting Type Of Cooperative Model, Integral Material

Abstract

Abstract:This study aims to describe students' errors in solving the problem of quadratic equations in grade XI SMAN 5 Pontianak. This research type is qualitative research. Method of research used is descriptive method with form of research of case study. The subject of this research is 32 student of grade XI IPA 2 SMAN 5 Pontianak. Data collection techniques used in this study is a written test and direct communication techniques that is by interview. The data collection tool used in this study is a diagnostic test. Based on the results of data analysis, and interviews,it can be concluded: students make a facts mistake, concept mistake, skill mistakes,principles mistake. The factors that cause the students to make mistakes: students do not understand the origin of a principle, students do not capture the concept correctly and students do not capture the meaning of symbols, students understand the origin of a principle and students are not fluent using counting operations, students do not capture the concept correctly and students do not use counting operations, students do not catch the concept correctly and students are not fluent using the operation,students do not capture the concept correctly. Keywords: Error Analysis, SolvingProblems, Quadratic Equation
