Abstract

This study aims to determine students’ responses to the insertion of Al-Qur’an values in learning Archimedes law. This research is a survey research. Sampling was taken using the Proposive Sampling method with the whole group technique, namely students of class XI MIA B who had been given learning by inserting Al-Qur’an values in Archimedes law learning into samples in learning. This research instrument was a responses generally agreed with tha insertion of Al-Qur’an values in learning with a percentage of 79,41%. This suggests a very interesting criterion. Based on these findings, the inclusion of Al-Qur’an values in the learning process can be used as an alternative for learning to implement learning.

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to develop and generate a physics learning motivation survey that will be used to measure students’ motivation. This survey has 40 items and covers seven motivational aspects: interest in learning physics, learning strategies, learning environment, teachers’ factors, media factors, future carrier, and self-efficacy. Firstly, each survey item is validated by experts: language, psychology, and physics education. Then the survey is administered to 150 senior high school students in Pontianak. Based on statistical analysis, the coefficient of Alpha Cronbach is 0.91, which is very good. Students’ responses show that most students (70%) agree that they like to learn physics because it covers phenomena daily. Then about 75% of the respondents enjoy learning physics because their teachers use tools (kit) for teaching. About 80% of the students choose to learn in the classroom (face to face) than virtual learning (online). Lastly, about 70% of students respond that they are motivated to learn physics to be accepted at universities. Based on a pilot study, a physics learning motivation survey is valid for a large-scale population.

Abstract

This article aims to describe the implementation of socialization activities and technical guidance for the implementation of Lesson Study for young lecturers in the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Tanjungpura University (University) and to explore information about participants' opinions on the implementation of lesson study in lectures. Opinions were obtained from the stages of socialization and technical guidance on the implementation of the learning quality improvement program through Lesson study. This activity is carried out in two stages. Phase 1 is a field orientation activity carried out by the team, the purpose of this activity is to prepare activities and collect data on young lecturers (CPNS) who are in the teacher training institution at university environment. Phase 2 is a lesson study cycle socialization and technical guidance activity which was carried out in a 4-hour meeting on 27 July 2020 at the teacher training institution University. In this activity, 4 team members as resource persons were present to provide strengthening of lesson study to participants in the socialization and technical guidance, besides that this activity was also attended by 29 participants who were young lecturers in the faculty. With these stages, it is hoped that this community services activity can produce an understanding of sustainable programs for young lecturers in order to improve the quality of professional lecturers and can improve the quality of learning so that it results in increased results and learning processes for students. So that in the end it can build a learning community that affects the improvement of the quality of education.Keyword: Lesson Study, Young Teachers, Community Services

Abstract

The aim of this study is to describe the critical thinking skills students of physical education PGMIPA-U on material direct current circuits. Methods used in this study is simple descriptive. where all students PGMIPA-U ever get the material in the direction of the electric circuit asrus basic physics II participated in this research. Based on the analysis of the data found that the average critical thinking skills possessed by students of physics education PGMIPA-U on direct current electrical circuit material is 62.98%. We hope this research can be used as evidence of the earliest descriptions of the critical thinking skills that can be used by interested parties.   Key Word : Critical Thinking Skill

Abstract

The implementation of virtual labs during the pandemic is carried out to improve science process skills. Any 32 physics teacher candidates were involved in this study to take the pretest, posttest, and learning using a virtual lab. The results showed that there was an increase in the science process skills of prospective physics teacher by 0.51 in the medium category. The ability to interpret (0.62), design experiments (0.59), hypothesize (0.47), observe (0.58), predict (0.36) and classify (0.57) experienced an increase in the moderate category. The increase in the high category occurred in the aspect of applying the concept (0.79). Virtual labs can be used as an alternative to online or offline learning to improve students' science process skills.
