Abstract

AbstractThis study investigates the readiness of Indonesian Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers at the lower secondary level to integrate AI-based gamification into Qur’anic learning for Generation Alpha students. As part of the Transformative Tilawah research program, the study also provides initial validity evidence for the TRAIGE instrument, which measures five dimensions of readiness: technical, pedagogical, content, perceived usefulness, and institutional readiness. Using a convergent mixed-methods design, data were collected through a survey of 30 teachers and semi-structured interviews with 5 participants selected through purposive network sampling. Quantitative data were analyzed descriptively, while qualitative data were examined using reflexive thematic analysis. The findings show that overall teacher readiness is high (M = 81.50; 81.5%). Technical readiness is the strongest dimension (87.2%), whereas pedagogical readiness is the weakest (78.9%). Perceived usefulness is very high (82.0%), indicating positive views of AI-gamification for motivation and learning outcomes. However, a support-capacity gap persists: leadership is supportive, but training and technical assistance remain limited. Implementation therefore requires ethical design, pedagogical strengthening, and stronger institutional support.   AbstrakPenelitian ini mengkaji kesiapan guru Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) tingkat SMP di Indonesia dalam mengintegrasikan gamifikasi berbasis AI ke dalam pembelajaran Al-Qur’an bagi Generasi Alpha. Sebagai bagian dari program riset Transformative Tilawah, studi ini juga memberikan bukti validitas awal terhadap instrumen TRAIGE yang mengukur lima dimensi kesiapan, yaitu kesiapan teknis, pedagogis, konten, persepsi kegunaan, dan dukungan institusional. Penelitian menggunakan desain mixed methods konvergen dengan pengumpulan data melalui survei terhadap 30 guru serta wawancara semi-terstruktur dengan 5 partisipan yang dipilih melalui purposive network sampling. Data kuantitatif dianalisis secara deskriptif, sedangkan data kualitatif dianalisis menggunakan reflexive thematic analysis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kesiapan guru secara umum berada pada kategori tinggi (M = 81,50; 81,5%). Kesiapan teknis menjadi dimensi terkuat (87,2%), sedangkan kesiapan pedagogis menjadi yang terendah (78,9%). Persepsi kegunaan berada pada kategori sangat tinggi (82,0%). Namun, masih terdapat kesenjangan antara dukungan pimpinan dan kapasitas nyata sekolah, terutama dalam pelatihan dan bantuan teknis. Karena itu, implementasi memerlukan desain etis, penguatan pedagogis, dan dukungan institusional yang lebih kuat.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze various problems of the evaluation system in the affective domain of Islamic Education. In addition, this research based on Deci and Ryan's Self-Determination Theory. This research is important to do because of the urgency related to the various problems in evaluation system, especially in affective domain related to Islamic education in Indonesia. This research used a qualitative approach and library research to obtain data related to the reality of the evaluation system in affective domain with Deci & Ryan's Self-Determination as a theory. Researchers searched the references from various books and articles through Google Scholar. The research showed that an evaluation system in the affective domain based on Self-Determination theory will give more possibility to teacher for emphasize the fulfilment of three basic human psychological needs such as autonomy, competence, and relatedness. This principle can be applied by measuring student's basic needs and examining how these needs can be fulfilled through the education provided. This research has implications in improving the quality of evaluation system in Indonesia, especially in the affective domain. However, this research only focuses on measuring the affective domain in Islamic Education, so further research must be done. This research focus on the evaluation system of the affective domain in Islamic Education by providing a new point of view with Self-Determination Theory (SDT) as a reference.

Abstract

This study explores the experience of an Islamic education teacher in implementing differentiated assessments and analyzes their impact on students’ critical thinking development. A qualitative approach with a descriptive-analytical method was used to collect data through an in-depth interview with a PAI teacher at SMAN 7 Bandung, which was supported by relevant literature. The data were analyzed using Miles and Huberman’s interactive model, which includes data reduction, display, and drawing conclusions. The results demonstrate that differentiated assessments provide students with opportunities to express their understanding in creative and reflective ways. This approach also promotes the development of Ennis’s five critical thinking indicators: clarification, basic support, inference, advanced argumentation, and self-regulation. The study concludes that differentiated assessment significantly enhances students’ critical thinking skills in Islamic religious education.

Abstract

This study aims to explore how Gen-Z Muslim students interpret, respond to, and assess digital da'wah they consume on social media and how it affects their morals in everyday life. This study uses a quantitative approach with a non-experimental design through a correlational survey method with Digital Da'wah on Social Media as the Independent variable and the Morals of Gen-Z Muslim Students as the dependent variable. The results show that the majority of respondents agree and strongly agree with all items in the digital da'wah variable, which illustrates that digital da'wah is considered relevant, interesting, easily accessible, and has a strong da'wah essence. In the morals variable, respondents also predominantly show the agree and strongly agree categories, which indicates that the morals of Gen Z Muslim students are in the good category. The results of the correlation test obtained a coefficient value of 0.652 which is included in the strong and positive relationship category, so it can be concluded that digital da'wah on social media has a strong relationship and a positive influence on the morals of Gen Z Muslim students

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low interest of students in learning Islamic Religious Education (PAI), which often becomes a challenge for educators. One of the efforts to address this issue is by adaptively utilizing interactive learning media, such as Wordwall. The aim of this study is to understand the extent to which the use of Wordwall can increase student engagement in Islamic education learning. Using an action research design methodology, this study was conducted through a cycle of action research consisting of four stages: planning, action, observation, and reflection. The research involved teachers and eighth-grade students at a junior high school. The results of the study showed a significant increase in student engagement in learning, indicated by the observation scores of students in the first cycle (70%), which increased in the second cycle (85%). Wordwall helped students understand and internalize Islamic religious concepts and values better, especially through activities based on simulation and visualization. The implication of this research is the need for integrating Wordwall media into the PAI curriculum to create more engaging and effective learning for teachers, schools, and students.

Abstract

AbstrakPendekatan student centered learning menjadi pendekatan yang populer dalam dunia pendidikan sebagai upaya dalam mengatasi kekurangan pada pendekatan teacher centered learning.  Namun sayangnya pada pembelajaran PAI pendekatan ini masih sangat minim diterapkannya. Hal ini disebabkan karena minimnya kemampuan guru dalam memahami dan mengemas tugas-tugasnya. Maka dari itu, perlu dilakukan upaya dengan memilih metode pembelajaran yang sesuai. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah melihat pengaruh metode pembelajaran talking stick dalam menerapkan pendekatan student centered learning berlandaskan keaktifan belajar siswa pada jenjang sekolah menengah pertama. Untuk menguraikan masalah tersebut maka dilakukan penelitian pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode quasy experiment desain nonequivalent control group design guna mengetahui pengaruh metode pembelajaran talking stick dalam menerapkan pendekatan student centered learning. Setelah diberlakukannya metode pembelajaran talking stick terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara kelas yang menggunakan metode pembelajaran talking stick dengan yang tidak. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa metode pembelajaran talking sctik bisa menjadi alternatif dalam menerapkan pendekatan student centered learning.Kata Kunci: Student Centered Learning, Talking Stick, Pembelajaran PAI

Abstract

While the majority of research to date has been more focused on studying Islamic Religious Education (PAI) models, media and practices in forming students' anti-bullying character, this study is focused on efforts to examine whether PAI material provides adequate accessibility to enable students to have knowledge, understanding, anti-bullying attitude and character. Therefore, the aim of this article is to explore PAI materials in elementary schools and analyze accessibility for the attitudes and character of anti-bullying students in elementary schools. This article uses an exploratory qualitative approach to content analysis design, where PAI books and morals for grades I to VI in elementary schools be the source. This article finds two characters that can prevent bullying behavior in students, namely performance and moral character. Regarding the similarities between the two characters, they both have positive values that can be applied in everyday life, including behaving politely, respecting others, being devoted to parents and teachers, forgiving each other, and loving each other. In this way, students can live in harmony and avoid bullying behavior.

Abstract

Motivasi belajar adalah aspek penting dalam pendidikan. Penelitian ini berfokus pada analisis motivasi belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran PAI dengan menggunakan metode ceramah di kelas tinggi SD Laboratorium Percontohan UPI. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan penelitian kuantitatif dengan sampel dari kelas 4B dan 4C. Data dikumpulkan melalui angket, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Aspek perhatian, kepercayaan diri, kepuasan, dan relevansi digunakan untuk membangun instrumen motivasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan metode ceramah dalam pembelajaran PAI efektif menjaga motivasi siswa. Aspek perhatian, kepercayaan diri, kepuasan, dan hubungan mencapai persentase masing-masing sebesar 78,37persen; 73,69 persen; 79,72 persen; 81,83 persen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan dampak positif terhadap motivasi belajar siswa melalui penerapan metode ceramah. Namun, guru berperan penting dalam menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang sehat, kondusif, dan menarik. Dalam hal ini, guru perlu meningkatkan kemampuan bertutur kata yang baik dan meningkatkan kreativitasnya. Selain itu, guru juga sebaiknya lebih sering memberikan kesempatan kepada siswa untuk bertanya.
