Abstract

Fulfillment of all demands of consumers who come to the product is one thing that always wanted to be achieved by a company. These requests are not independent of the company's ability to manufacture certain products. CV Cherry Sarana Agro manufactures a wide range of agricultural equipment, one of which is the product hydrotiller and hammermil. Demand for both products are always in large numbers for each period, however, the company could not meet the entire demand. One of the main factors that led this small company's production capacity for these two products is not optimal scheduling of machines made by companies, causing many to be a queue on a particular machine so that the total process operating time becomes very large. Scheduling method is used to optimize the scheduling of machines working on the report of this practice is actively scheduling method and the method of non-delay scheduling. The data needed to perform scheduling with both of these methods is the data used machines, data processing operations and data processing time of operation. With these three data, can be compared to the actual scheduling done by the company with the scheduling is done using active scheduling method and the method of non-delay scheduling. The most optimal scheduling is obtained after comparing the three methods used are scheduling using the non-delay scheduling. This method was chosen because the resulting make span is much smaller than the two other methods. This method is well applied in the company because in addition to reducing the total processing time, can also increase production capacity, so that all requests can be met.

Abstract

As economic development and current technology, there tends to SMEs have been reversed there is some effort to close down due to lack of existing orders in the business. Therefore, the government made efforts to assist existing SMEs to be able to survive in the face of global crisis is happening right now. These efforts may include providing small loans and may include training services in accordance with its business. One of the materials provided in the training is about entrepreneurship so that SMEs are expected to compete with similar companies. The low ability entrepreneur pointed out as one of the reasons SMEs are not able to compete with large companies, such as SI (Small Industry) Spare Parts in the city of Padang. The failure to penetrate IK Parts of competition to supply spare parts in the PT. Semen Padang because of its low ability entrepreneur is owned by SI. With no indicator of entrepreneur ability, there are some problems for governments about policies that will be taken for judge the SI. Therefore, the entrepreneur ability should be decided to helps government in decisions making of policies, so that SI can be competing with larger companies. The method that been used in this study is the Quality Function Deployment (QFD) and the recommendations for policies that can be used by the government by using SWOT analysis. QFD is used to identify consumer needs and its association with the characteristic techniques provided by the government, so that the final results are the critical competencies that should be developed first. The linkage between the needs of consumers with technical characteristics reflected in the House of Quality (HOQ). While the results of the SWOT analysis are four types of strategies which can be used later by using the strategy outlined in the strategy implementation architecture for 10 years. This research resulted in 25 indicators of entrepreneurial competencies that include Human Resources (HR), financial, and research and development which consist of eight aspects. The resulting formulation of strategies using SWOT analysis generates SO Strategies (5 strategies), WO Strategies (7 strategies), ST Strategies (7 strategies), and WT Strategies (5 strategies). The design of the implementation of the strategy is planned for 10 years which is reflected in the architecture of the strategy and its implementation strategies.

Abstract

Green supply chain performance measurement system is required to manage environmental risk, increase competitive and obtain appropriate strategy for company. Performance measurement system in PT RAPP only focus on midstream and downstream operation related with manufacturing processes and supplier. The problem is how to redesign existing performance measurement system for pulp and paper in PT RAPP, so that downstream operation related with distributor can be integrated into green supply chain performance measurement system. Research objective designing conceptual and computer model for green supply chain measurement of pulp and wherein information entire supply chain can be managed well. Conceptual model is designed with involving activities such as stakeholder identification, stakeholder green requirement analysis, green objective identification, and KPI weighting. Supply chain operations reference (SCOR) metric is applied to identify key performance indicator (KPI). KPI weighting is determined by AHP method. Computer application is designed by combining database, mathematical formulation, and user interface. it is designed to implement conceptual model. Research result is consisting of two levels with fifteen objectives and twenty seven KPI’s. Proposed application has capability to support decision maker in calculating partial and total performance measure each period. It is designed specifically with quantitative measure to support operational decision making related with environmental aspect.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) are the backbone of Indonesia’s economy, yet many traditional businesses lack adequate financial literacy, particularly regarding the calculation of the Break Even Point (BEP), which is essential for determining the breakeven level and profit planning. This community service program aims to improve BEP understanding among MSME actors of Maco Adaik in Nagari Sungayang. The program was implemented from July to September 2025 at the Sungayang Village Hall using a participatory approach through interactive lectures, simulations, and group discussions based on real business data. Evaluation was conducted using pre-test and post-test with Likert-scale questionnaires to measure participants’ comprehension. The training results showed a significant improvement, with 70% of participants able to calculate BEP independently after the program. Analysis of Maco Adaik business data indicated that breakeven is achieved at 30 packages per month with a selling price of IDR 18,100, fixed costs of IDR 300,000, and variable costs of IDR 8,083 per unit. This understanding encouraged participants to develop more structured pricing and production strategies and raised awareness of cost recording. Social impact was evident through active community involvement and strengthened entrepreneurial capacity based on local potential. This program effectively enhanced MSME financial literacy and is expected to contribute to business sustainability. For further development, digital-based financial recording training and collaboration with BUMNag are recommended to strengthen business institutions and replicate the program in other villages.

Abstract

Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) are the backbone of Indonesia's economy, contributing over 60% to the national GDP and employing more than 97% of the workforce. In Payakumbuh, culinary SMEs have significant potential due to the abundance of local raw materials and high demand for traditional foods such as rendang. Rendang Gadih is one such SME focusing on rendang production for both local and regional markets. However, inefficiencies in production, inconsistent quality, and manual management processes limit its competitiveness. This community service activity introduced the concept of Lean Manufacturing to improve efficiency and reduce waste. The main tools socialized were Value Stream Mapping (VSM), Process Activity Mapping (PAM), and identification of the eight types of waste, along with the application of Kaizen principles for continuous improvement. Implementation was carried out through preparation, socialization, and evaluation stages. The results of this activity are expected to help Randang Gadih enhance production efficiency, minimize waste, and strengthen competitiveness, serving as a model for other culinary SMEs in West Sumatra.

Abstract

Artificial intelligence (AI) is increasingly accessible to small firms, but prior studies mainly explain readiness, adoption, or downstream value rather than the stage at which AI first becomes visible as an operational opportunity. This study examines that upstream stage in small industrial firms by combining technology-organization-environment (TOE) antecedents with diffusion of innovation (DOI) outcomes. A purposive, census-oriented survey was conducted on the official West Sumatra small-industry frame. The final dataset contains 51 usable responses from 69 registered small industrial firms, equal to 73.91% official-frame coverage, and was analyzed with PLS-SEM in SmartPLS 4. A conservative rerun removed one weak infrastructure indicator while retaining the same inner model. The main supported path is human resources and digital literacy to observability (β = 0.609, p = 0.001, f² = 0.318), followed by governance, strategy, and budget support to observability (β = 0.447, p = 0.030, f² = 0.179). Observability reaches R² = 0.496, whereas infrastructure, data management, competitive pressure, and ecosystem support do not show comparable direct effects. The findings indicate that early AI opportunity becomes visible mainly through interpretive workforce capacity and bounded managerial support.

Abstract

This paper presents the design and implementation of an automatic oven for baking marble sponge cake using a PID-based temperature control system. The proposed system regulates oven temperature and air circulation to achieve stable and uniform baking conditions. Temperature control is implemented using a PID algorithm based on feedback from a K-type thermocouple sensor, while air circulation is controlled by a DC blower motor driven through PWM and a BTS7960 driver. The overall system is controlled by an Arduino Uno R3 microcontroller. PID parameters were determined using the Ziegler–Nichols reaction curve method, resulting in ???????? = 16.4, ???????? = 90 s, and ???????? = 22.5 s. Experimental results show that the oven was able to reach and maintain a setpoint temperature of 175 ∘C with acceptable stability during a 28-min baking process. Therefore, the developed system can be considered effective for automatic marble sponge cake baking requiring stable and controlled thermal conditions.

Abstract

Aspek penting yang perlu dilakukan oleh produsen agar produknya dapat bersaing yaitu dengan melakukan pengembangan dan inovasi produk. Salah satu inovasi yang dapat dilakukan pada saat pandemi Covid-19 ini yaitu minuman dan makanan yang dapat meningkatkan imun tubuh seperti daun Sungkai yang dinamakan Teh Royal Sungkai Sinatra. Minuman ini merupakan produk baru hasil inovasi yang berawal dari maraknya penggunaan daun sungkai sebagai alternatif pengobatan Covid-19. Air rebusan daun sungkai dirasakan jika diminum langsung terasa pahit dan tidak praktis. Oleh karena itu perlu dilakukan pengembangan produk agar preferensi konsumen terpenuhi. Penelitian ini menggunakan integrasi metode Conjoint Analysis dan QFD. Metode Conjoint Analysis berfungsi untuk meneliti pasar terhadap preferensi konsumen mengenai atribut dan level yang menjadi fokus pelanggan, sedangkan QFD merupakan alat perencanaan yang berfungsi untuk memastikan preferensi konsumen diketahui pemilik usaha dalam pembuatan produk untuk peningkatan kepuasan pelanggan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diperoleh empat atribut penting bagi konsumen terhadap produk minuman teh sungkai, yaitu atribut rasa, aroma, warna, dan harga. Berdasarkan atribut dan level yang dianggap penting tersebut diperoleh 16 kombinasi produk dari hasil olahan SPSS. Kombinasi produk terbaik yaitu rasa lemon dengan aroma normal, teh memiliki warna coklat, dan harga <Rp20.000. Selanjutnya dilakukan pengolahan respon teknis produsen berdasarkan preferensi konsumen yang telah didapatkan melalui metode Conjoint Analysis. Berdasarkan hasil wawancara didapatkan empat respon teknis, dengan respon teknis yang memiliki nilai kepentingan relatif tertinggi yaitu pemilihan bahan baku dengan nilai 25%, artinya pengembangan pertama yang harus diperhatikan oleh perusahaan adalah pemilihan bahan baku produk minuman teh royal sungkai Sinatra

Abstract

Abstract— PT ABC is a major automotive manufacturer in Indonesia producing NR-series and hybrid engines. To address limitations of the manual press pin machine, an auto press pin machine was developed. However, operational issues emerged during the load–unload process due to instability of the jig path, leading to workpiece misalignment and reduced process reliability. This study aims to identify the root causes of the jig path instability and propose an engineering-based improvement. Root cause analysis was conducted using the five whys method based on field observations and discussions with operators and technicians. The analysis indicated that geometric incompatibility between the jig track and the cylinder block was the primary cause of instability. Based on these findings, the jig path was redesigned using computer-aided design (CAD) with SolidWorks, followed by motion study simulations to evaluate stability and potential interference. The redesigned jig path demonstrated improved positional stability and smoother workpiece movement during simulation. Although quantitative performance indicators were not evaluated, the proposed design provides a technical foundation for future performance-based assessments
