Abstract

Abstract

Leaf diseases in tomato plants (Solanum lycopersicum), including Early Blight, Late Blight, and Leaf Mold, can cause substantial reductions in crop yield if not detected at an early stage. Conventional manual detection methods are constrained by limitations in speed, consistency, and accuracy, particularly under field conditions. This study proposes a tomato leaf disease classification framework leveraging a transfer learning approach, in which the Inception V3 architecture functions as a feature extractor and the Random Forest algorithm serves as the classifier. The dataset employed comprises four categories of tomato leaf images—Early Blight, Late Blight, Leaf Mold, and Healthy—which were stratified into training (80%) and testing (20%) subsets. All images were resized to 299×299 pixels, normalized, and subjected to optional data augmentation. Feature representations were extracted from the Global Average Pooling layer of Inception V3 pretrained on the ImageNet dataset and subsequently input into a Random Forest classifier with hyperparameters optimized via grid search. Experimental evaluation demonstrated that the proposed model achieved an accuracy of 94.3%, surpassing the performance of a conventional CNN (89.2%) and a Random Forest classifier without transfer learning (76.5%). The confusion matrix analysis revealed the highest classification performance for the Healthy and Late Blight categories, whereas the Leaf Mold category exhibited a higher misclassification rate due to its visual symptom similarity to Early Blight. The findings of this research indicate that a hybrid methodology combining deep learning-based feature extraction and classical machine learning algorithms is highly effective for agricultural image classification in scenarios with limited datasets. Furthermore, the proposed approach holds significant potential for integration into web- or mobile-based decision support systems, enabling rapid and accurate plant disease detection in practical agricultural settings.

Abstract

The education sector today faces increasingly complex and dynamic challenges driven by rapid global changes, digital technological advancements, and rising public expectations for high-quality education. Intense competition among educational institutions requires innovative and adaptive management strategies to build a positive image, strengthen public trust, and attract prospective students. In this context, public relations (PR) management and educational marketing play essential and mutually supportive roles in maintaining institutional reputation and sustainability. PR functions as a strategic connector between institutions and stakeholders through two-way communication, information transparency, media management, and crisis communication, all of which contribute to building a positive public image. Meanwhile, educational marketing focuses on identifying needs, creating value, and promoting institutional strengths such as academic achievements, facilities, and alumni success through both conventional and digital platforms. The integration of PR and marketing enables consistent, ethical, and data-driven communication strategies that translate public trust into increased student enrollment and competitive advantage. The effectiveness of these strategies is strongly influenced by external factors such as technological development and globalization, as well as internal factors including the competence of human resources. Therefore, the synergy between PR and educational marketing becomes a key strategy in improving institutional quality, reputation, competitiveness, and long-term sustainability in the rapidly evolving global education landscape.

Abstract

Job analysis is a fundamental component of human resource management, particularly in the recruitment and selection processes within Islamic educational institutions. It functions as a systematic approach to identifying and defining the duties, responsibilities, qualifications, and competencies required for specific positions, thereby ensuring alignment between institutional needs and individual capabilities. In the context of Islamic education, job analysis extends beyond technical and professional competencies to include moral integrity, spiritual commitment, and noble character as core requirements for educators. Clear and well-structured job descriptions and job specifications serve as essential instruments for attracting candidates who are not only competent in their fields but also committed to upholding Islamic values. Furthermore, the recruitment and selection process should be implemented objectively and transparently through appropriate methods such as competency-based testing, structured interviews, assessment centers, and fit and proper tests. These techniques are necessary to evaluate both professional qualifications and the suitability of candidates’ values with the vision and mission of Islamic educational institutions. In addition, the application of Islamic ethical principles—such as justice, trustworthiness, professionalism, transparency, and the rejection of nepotism—plays a crucial role in creating a fair, accountable, and credible recruitment system. Comprehensive job analysis combined with value-based selection processes is therefore strategic in producing educators who are professionally competent and morally exemplary, ultimately contributing to the enhancement of quality, integrity, and public trust in Islamic educational institutions.

Abstract

Human Resource Planning (HRP) plays a strategic role in ensuring the sustainability and quality of educational institutions, particularly within the context of Islamic education. This paper examines Human Resource Planning as a systematic, continuous, and future-oriented process aimed at ensuring the availability of competent, motivated, and goal-oriented human resources aligned with institutional objectives. HRP is not merely concerned with determining workforce quantity, but also emphasizes the development of human potential as a valuable organizational asset. Drawing on the perspectives of Mondy, Werther and Davis, Handoko, and Hasibuan, this study highlights HRP as an integrated activity encompassing workforce analysis, forecasting, recruitment, development, and evaluation. The discussion further elaborates on planning the future needs of teachers, educational staff, and educational leadership. Teachers are positioned as key agents of change who must possess pedagogical competence, adaptability to technological developments, and strong moral character. Educational staff are recognized as essential supporters of institutional effectiveness, requiring technical skills, professionalism, and ethical commitment. Leadership planning is emphasized as a long-term process involving succession planning, continuous leadership development, and value-based leadership, especially within Islamic educational institutions. Moreover, this paper underscores the importance of designing job descriptions and job specifications that reflect Islamic values. In Islamic education institutions, these instruments function not only as administrative guidelines but also as moral frameworks that integrate professionalism with spirituality. Through effective HRP, educational institutions can become adaptive, ethical, and sustainable.

Abstract

This article discusses the role of applied linguistics (Ilmu Lughah al-Ta?b?q?) in the study of the Arabic language, focusing on its theoretical foundations, methodologies, and pedagogical applications. The study emphasizes how applied linguistics provides tools for bridging language theory and practical teaching. By exploring approaches such as contrastive analysis, error analysis, discourse analysis, and communicative competence, this paper highlights the significance of applied linguistics in addressing real problems in Arabic teaching and learning. Methodologically, this research adopts a qualitative-descriptive approach, reviewing classical and modern perspectives to show the evolution of Arabic linguistics from a traditional grammatical orientation to contemporary communicative pedagogy. Findings reveal that applied linguistics enables educators to design curricula, teaching strategies, and assessments that are more relevant to the learners’ needs. It also underlines the importance of integrating modern technologies, corpora, and second-language acquisition theories into Arabic pedagogy. The study concludes that applied linguistics is indispensable in modernizing Arabic language education while maintaining its classical depth and cultural identity.

Abstract

This article explores the interrelation between morphology (?arf), linguistic synthesis (na?wu), and semantics (dal?lah) within the framework of Fiqh Lughah as the pillars of Arabic linguistics. Using qualitative and analytical methods, it highlights how classical Arabic linguistics provides analogies that are still relevant for modern pedagogy. Morphology is conceptualized as the organic structure of language, synthesis as its systemic architecture, and semantics as its vital energy. These analogies not only illustrate the depth of classical Arabic linguistic thought but also offer a foundation for developing integrative teaching methods in contemporary classrooms. Findings show that traditional pedagogy often focuses excessively on rote memorization of patterns without connecting them to communicative use. By integrating morphology, syntax, and semantics in a holistic manner, modern pedagogy can foster more effective and meaningful Arabic learning. This research contributes to bridging classical scholarship and 21st-century educational needs, especially in the digital era where language learning requires contextual, communicative, and technology-enhanced approaches.

Abstract

Digital evidence has become a crucial element in modern criminal law enforcement in Indonesia, particularly in addressing cybercrimes such as online gambling, online fraud, and data theft. This study aims to analyze the legal standing of digital evidence, the challenges of its authentication and admissibility in court, and strategies to ensure its reliability in the judicial process. The study uses a normative juridical method with descriptive analysis through statutory and conceptual approaches, based on a study of legal regulations, court decisions, academic literature, and digital forensic guidelines. The results show that digital evidence has been legally recognized through the Criminal Procedure Code (KUHAP), the ITE Law, and Supreme Court regulations, as long as its authenticity and integrity can be proven. However, major challenges remain, including the potential for data manipulation, limited infrastructure, and a lack of competent human resources. Efforts to ensure the reliability of digital evidence include the implementation of standard forensic procedures, capacity building of law enforcement officers, cross-agency collaboration, the use of advanced technology, and strengthening an adaptive legal framework to support effective law enforcement and public trust.

Abstract

Purpose: This study examines the influence of setting financial performance targets and the condition of a company's financial stability on financial statement fraud practices, with the presence of an independent board of commissioners as a moderating variable. Research Methodology: A quantitative approach was applied using secondary data from 33 firms, yielding 165 observations. Panel data regression and Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA) with EViews software were used to test the hypotheses. Results: The findings show that financial performance targets and financial stability do not significantly affect financial statement fraud. The independent board of commissioners cannot moderate these relationships. However, independent commissioners have a significant negative effect, helping to reduce fraudulent practices. Conclusions: The study concludes that financial targets and stability are not decisive in fraud practices, while independent commissioners play a preventive role but not as moderating variables. Limitations: The scope is limited to consumer goods companies, profitability indicators, and the 2018–2022 period, without considering the broader external factors. Contribution: This study provides empirical evidence for corporate governance studies in Indonesia and highlights the importance of strengthening the role of independent commissioners to enhance oversight and reduce fraud risk.
