Abstract

This study aimed to testing and analyze the effectiveness of the 7E-learning cycle learning model on the derived function learning. The research design used was a combination of qualitative and quantitative methods, also known as mixed methods. The model combines quantitative and qualitative methods unbalanced and in one time. Then do the overall interpretation of data analysis to get a conclusion and suggestions. Quantitative research in phase 2, the research used is experimental research using quasi-experimental designs. The researcher chose quasi-experimental designs with non-equivalent control group design. This study there are two groups selected at random. The first group was the experimental group where the 7E-learning cycle was implemented and the second group was the control group received no special treatment or regular treatment. Based on the research results obtained conclusion as learning Cycle 7E model of learning quality to solving problems of class XI students in solving problem solving problems included in either category.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of CORE learning models with scaffolding in improving the students' mathematical connection skills. The population of this study was the grade V students of SDN 2 Bobotsari, Purbalingga Regency Academic Year of 2017/2018. Sampling was done by using simple random sampling. Data collection technique was used mathematical connection skill tests, observation, and documentation respectively. This study was analyzed by using t-test. The results show that (1) the mathematical connection skill using the CORE model with Scaffolding have reached 75% of classical completeness, (2) the average mathematical connection skill using the CORE model with Scaffolding was better than the average mathematical connection skill using the CORE model, (3) the increasing in the average mathematical connection skill using the CORE model with Scaffolding is better than the increasing in the average mathematical connection skill using the CORE model only. Based on the results above, it can be concluded that the CORE model with Scaffolding is effective in improving students' mathematical connection skills.

The aim of this research is to know implementation of mathematics learning with the model of cooperative learning of Formulate Share Listen and Create nuanced of constructivism to increase the mathematic communication ability through the material of the differential senior high school which is effective, by valid and practical devices. This is a development research by Plomp models. It was conducted at .The devices developed are syllabus, lesson plan, worksheet, student book and test of mathematics communication ability. State SHS 1 Indramayu in Indramayu. Grade XI social two is choosen as a experiments class and XI social two a controls class. The clasification for developed devices are included into valid learning devices. It is also increase mathematics communication ability practically cause student and teacher responses are positive. Beside that, its also achieve the minimum mastery learning criteria proportionalwise even better than control class. Activities and motivation give positive influence towards their mathematics communication ability. There are increment student’s mathematics communication ability of experiment class.

Abstract

This study aims to (1) find out whether the mathematical communication abilities of students in ethnomathematics-nuanced ARIAS learning can reach the actual completeness limit, and (2) describe students' mathematical communication abilities based on self-confidence in ARIAS learning with nuanced mathematics. This study uses a mixed-method with sequential explanatory type. The population of this study is class VIII of Junior High School 1 Karangampel 2018/2019. The research subjects were selected based on self-confidence categories, namely high, medium, and low. Data collection techniques used tests of mathematical communication abilities, self-confidence questionnaires, and interviews. The results showed that (1) students in the class with ethnomathematics ARIAS learning had reached the actual completeness limit, and (2) the description of students' mathematical communication abilities in the high self-confidence category, moderate self-confidence and low self-confidence had the same able to listen, discuss, and write about mathematics, all three are also able to read with an understanding of a written presentation, but have not been able to formulate a definition, for students with moderate self-confidence and low self-confidence also have the same that is able to express objects - real objects, situations, and everyday events in the form of mathematical models (images, tables, diagrams, graphs, algebraic expressions) and able to make mathematical questions according to the information contained in the questions, and only students in self-confidence are who is able to explain mathematical ideas and models into ordinary languages.

Abstract

Mathematics literacy and learning independency have important roles for individuals’ decision making to solve life problems. One of such efforts within the growth of 4.0 industrial revolution era is by applying technology in learning. Blended learning model with PjBL assisted by Moodle is a learning alternative by using technology and two learning methods: offline learning by using PjBL and online learning by Moodle. This research aimed to describe mathematics literacy seen from learning independency on Blended learning with PjBL assisted by Moodle. This mixed method research used explanatory sequential design. The population in this study was 10th grade of MAN 2 Kota Pekalongan. The quantitative data was selected by purposeive sampling. The subject categorization was based on learning independency: high, moderate, and low. The findings showed that Blended leanring with PjBL assisted by Moodle was effective in improving mathematics literacy and student learning independency. The description of the improvement seen from learning independency obtained various results as shown by high learning independency which reached high and moderate mathematics literacy skills. Moderate learning independency students reached high, moderate, and low mathematics literacy skills. Meanwhile, the low learning independency students reached moderate and low mathematics literacy skills.

Abstract

This research aims to describe critical thinking skill reviewed from logical-mathematical and musical intelligence. This mix method research used sequential explanatory design. The subjects consisted of 35 X AKL3 students of Islamiyah VHS, Sapugarut, Pekalongan municipality, in academic year 2019/2020. They were selected based on categories, such as high logical -mathematical intelligence and low musical intelligence, low logical - mathematical intelligence and high musical intelligence, and high logical - mathematical and musical intelligences. The findings showed that the students’ mathematics critical students with high logical-mathematical and low musical intelligence met all indicators of interpreting problem, applying solution, evaluating solution, and concluding the results by using facts. The students’ mathematics critical thinking skill with low mathematical intelligence and high musical intelligence met all indicators of interpreting problems, applying solution, and evaluating the solution. The mathematics critical thinking skill of students with high logical-mathematical and musical intelligence could met all indicators of interpreting problems, applying solution, evaluating solution, and concluding the results by using facts.

Abstract

MMathematical connections ability is a demand in mathematics education to develop mathematical ideas and problem-solving in one another. This study aims to find mathematical connection ability patterns in terms of self-concept. The research method used is mixed methods with concurrent embedded design, quantitative research analysis using true experimental design, while qualitative research analysis uses the Miles and Huberman model. The population in this study was eighth-grade students of SMP Negeri 13 Semarang, Indonesia, and sampling was done by random sampling technique. The results showed that the mathematical connection ability pattern in terms of mathematical self-concepts is diverse. It is found that there were two patterns of mathematical connection ability in subjects with high self-concept. In subjects with moderate self-concept, three patterns of mathematical connection ability subjects with low self-concept, three patterns of mathematical connection ability are found
