Abstract

This study aims to identify patterns of findings, research trends, and research gaps in the field of Early Childhood Education (PAUD) management through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach using the PRISMA protocol. A total of 22 articles published in the recent period were analyzed based on four main domains, namely curriculum management, human resource management, financing/finance, and PAUD quality development. The results of the review show that PAUD management research is still dominated by descriptive approaches and local case studies with a focus on learning implementation, curriculum development, and character building. The important findings of this study reveal gaps in curriculum digitization, comprehensive human resource management systems, alternative financing innovations, and the application of data and technology-based quality management. This study recommends future research directions that focus on the development of digital and inclusive curriculum models, sustainable human resource management, collaborative financing systems, and the development of technology-based Internal Quality Assurance Systems (SPMI). These findings are expected to enrich the literature on PAUD management and serve as a reference for the development of more innovative and sustainable PAUD institutional management policies and practices.

Abstract

Indonesia’s high vulnerability to natural disasters has placed increasing importance on the Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) education. Much of the existing literature emphasizes disaster education in scientific school subjects, but physical education (PE) remains underexplored yet promising. This qualitative study investigated the perceptions of PE teachers in disaster-prone regions of Central Java, Indonesia, and the implementation of disaster education in their teaching practices. Drawing on semi-structured interviews with 14 junior high school PE teachers, thematic analysis revealed three central themes: 1) the contextual realities shaping teachers’ experiences, 2) the perceived value of PE as a vehicle for disaster education, and 3) the creative pedagogical strategies in disaster education. Despite limited curriculum support, teachers integrated disaster education through warming-up routines, simulation games, and fitness activities to develop agility, coordination, and leadership among students. The findings highlight PE’s applied and experiential aspects as well as its potential for interdisciplinary collaboration. However, the study also exposes systemic barriers, such as centralized policy constraints and lack of institutional support. To enhance disaster preparedness in schools, the study advocates for policy reforms that integrate disaster education into the PE curriculum and promote localized and context-sensitive practices. These efforts can contribute meaningfully to student safety, community resilience, and holistic educational development.

Abstract

Malnutrition, especially among children under five, remains a significant public health concern in Indonesia, including Riau Province. One potential effort to address this issue is the utilization of traditional fermented foods from Kuantan Singingi Regency, such as pekasam, sarobuong, puduong, and cangkuok semaung. These foods are rich in nutrients, including protein, carbohydrates, amino acids, minerals, and probiotics beneficial to health; however, they are on the verge of extinction.This community service program aimed to revitalize traditional Kuansing fermented foods through a science and technology-based training approach. The program implementation involved video demonstrations of traditional food preparation, distribution of pocket books, and interactive discussions with health cadres, as well as pregnant and breastfeeding mothers, and mothers with toddlers.The results showed high enthusiasm among participants, demonstrated by their active involvement in discussions and question-and-answer sessions. The training not only improved participants’ knowledge but also fostered awareness and a sense of ownership of local food, while simultaneously opening opportunities for small-scale household businesses.

Abstract

Inulin is a natural polysaccharide that improves glucose metabolism and reduces cholesterol levels through the formation of short-chain fatty acids, which may contribute to preventing atherosclerosis in type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). Therefore, this study aimed to evaluate the effect of dahlia tuber inulin extract on the thickness of the thoracic aortic tunica intima-media (TIM) in T2DM-induced rats. A total of 20 male Wistar rats were divided into five groups: control, T2DM, T2DM + 0.5 mg/gBW/day inulin extract, T2DM + 1.0 mg/gBW/day inulin extract, and T2DM + 1.5 mg/gBW/day inulin extract. T2DM induction was performed using 60 mg/kgBW streptozotocin and 120 mg/kgBW nicotinamide. Measurement of TIM thickness was conducted using a Leica light microscope with hematoxylin-eosin staining. The results showed no statistically significant differences among the groups (p = 0.051), although a decreasing trend in TIM thickness was observed at the 1.5 mg/gBW/day dose. In this context, dahlia tuber inulin extract demonstrated a tendency to reduce TIM thickness in T2DM-induced rats.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran kegiatan ekstrakurikuler Paskibra dalam memperkuat pendidikan karakter, khususnya dalam menumbuhkan karakter cinta tanah air pada peserta didik. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif yang dilakukan di SMP Negeri 1 Malausma, Kabupaten Majalengka. Informan penelitian terdiri atas kepala sekolah, wakil kepala sekolah bidang kesiswaan, pembina dan pelatih Paskibra, serta 15 peserta didik anggota Paskibra yang dipilih melalui teknik purposive sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara semi-terstruktur, dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan model analisis interaktif Miles, Huberman, dan Saldaña yang meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data, serta penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan ekstrakurikuler Paskibra berkontribusi dalam menumbuhkan karakter cinta tanah air melalui pembiasaan nilai kedisiplinan, kerja sama, tanggung jawab, serta penghormatan terhadap simbol-simbol negara. Proses tersebut terjadi melalui pengalaman langsung peserta didik dalam kegiatan latihan, interaksi kelompok, dan partisipasi dalam aktivitas kebangsaan di sekolah. Temuan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan Paskibra dapat dipahami sebagai bentuk pembelajaran kewarganegaraan berbasis pengalaman yang mengintegrasikan civic knowledge, civic skills, dan civic disposition dalam pembentukan karakter peserta didik. Dengan demikian, kegiatan ekstrakurikuler Paskibra dapat menjadi strategi pedagogis yang efektif dalam memperkuat pendidikan karakter dan membangun kesadaran kebangsaan peserta didik di lingkungan sekolah.

Abstract

FFenomena catcalling merupakan bentuk pelecehan verbal di ruang publik yang sering menargetkan perempuan sebagai objek interaksi seksual yang tidak diinginkan. Meskipun kerap dianggap sebagai candaan, praktik ini memiliki implikasi sosial dan psikologis bagi perempuan yang mengalaminya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis catcalling sebagai bentuk kontrol sosial maskulin di ruang publik kampus serta memahami pengalaman mahasiswi yang mengalaminya. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain fenomenologi terhadap enam mahasiswi Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa yang pernah mengalami catcalling di sekitar kampus. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam dan observasi, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan teknik reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa catcalling muncul dalam bentuk siulan, panggilan bernada menggoda, serta komentar terhadap penampilan fisik yang merefleksikan objektifikasi tubuh perempuan dan relasi kuasa gender di ruang publik. Pengalaman tersebut menimbulkan rasa tidak nyaman dan mendorong mahasiswi mengembangkan strategi adaptasi ketika berada di ruang publik. Temuan ini memperluas pemahaman mengenai catcalling sebagai praktik sosial yang mereproduksi dominasi maskulin serta memiliki implikasi bagi pengembangan Pendidikan Sosiologi dan Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the relationship between political ethics education and legal awareness on students’ political culture within the context of university organizations. A correlational quantitative design with a cross-sectional approach was employed. The participants consisted of 30 undergraduate students actively involved in campus organizations, selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using a four-point Likert-scale questionnaire that met validity and reliability requirements (α = 0.79–0.85). Multiple regression analysis was conducted after fulfilling classical assumptions. The results indicate that political ethics education has a positive and significant effect on students’ political culture (β = 0.621; p < 0.01), as does legal awareness (β = 0.412; p < 0.05). Simultaneously, both variables explain 85.5% of the variance in political culture (R² = 0.855; p < 0.001). These findings suggest that the internalization of political ethics and legal understanding plays a crucial role in shaping students’ democratic participation. However, the results should be interpreted cautiously due to the limited sample size and non-random sampling.
