Abstract

AbstractThe general problem of this research was the analysis of the value of character education in the novel Anak Rantau by Ahmad Fuadi. Novel Anak Rantau tells the story of a child named Hepi who was abandoned by his father in Tanjung Durian village and lived with his grandparents. The problems of this research are: (1) the value of honest character education, (2) the value of hard work character education, (3) the value of sincere character education. The purpose of this research is to describe the value of character education and reader responses. This study uses a description method with qualitative research forms. Data from this study are sentences that show the value of honest character education, hard work, and sincerity. The technique used in this study is documentary study, and the data collection tool is the researcher himself as a key instrument. Based on the results of data analysis there are 36 data values of honest character education, 22 data on the value of character hard work education, and 35 data on the value of sincere character education.Keywords: Value of Character Education, Anak Rantau

Abstract

 AbstractThis research background is motivated by the desire to find a character from the novel title Dian yang Tak Berkunjung Padam by Sutan Takdir Alisjahbana. The general problem in this research is "How does the main character in Dian yang Tak Kunjung Padam novel by Sutan Takdir Alisjahbana?. The general problem is limited by two sub-problems, that are personality and emotion of main character in the Dian yang Tak Berkunjung Padam novel by Sutan Takdir Alisjahbana. The purpose of this study is to describe two sub-problems, while this research is useful for researchers to increase knowledge and insight in analyzing the literary works, this research also can be used by teachers and students as a media of learning as well as materials for comparison. This theory used in this study relates to novels, characters, personality and emotions. This research uses descriptive method, qualitative resecrh form, and using behavioristic psychology approach. The source of research data is Dian yang Tak Kunjung Padam novel by Sutan Takdir Alisjahbana Sutan Takdir Alisjahbana. The data collecting of this research is documentary study technique. The data in this study are quotations of words, phrases, sentences containing the personality of the main character and the emotion of the main character.  Key words: personality, emotion, psychology, novel

Abstract

AbstrackThe general problem of this research was the analysis of moral values in a collection of Melawi District folklores. It was delimited into five sub issues related to (1) the moral values associated with the God, (2) the moral values associated with others, (3) the moral values associated with own self, (4) the moral values associated with the nature, and (5) the implementation plan at school. The aim of this research was to describe the moral values associated with the God, others, own self, the nature and the implementation plan at school. This research used the descriptive method in the form of qualitative research. The data source was the collection of Melawi District folklores in the form of speeches which had moral values. The technique used in this research was documenter study, and the tool of data collection was the researcher herself as the key instrument. Based on the results of the data analysis, it was found that there were 7 data related to the moral values associated with the God, 38 data related to the moral values associated with others, 20 data related to the moral values associated with own self, 16 data related to the moral values associated with the nature.Keywords: values, moral, folklore.

Abstract

 AbstractThe general problem of this research is the conflict analysis of the main character in the novel Dear Nathan by Erisca Febriani tells the story of a child with all kinds of problems he faces both internal conflicts and external conflicts in his family and also his school environment.The problems in this study were: (1) the main conflict of the main character, (2) the external conflict of the main character, (3) the implementation of literary learning about internal and external conflicts. The purpose of this study was to describe the internal conflict and external conflict of the main character. This study uses a description method with qualitative research. The data from this study are sentences that indicate the internal and external conflicts of the main character. The technique used in this study is documentary study, and the data collection tool is the researcher itself as a key instrument. Based on the results of data analysis there are 58 internal conflict data and 8 external conflict data. Keywords: conflict. character, novel

Abstract

Peningkatan Kemampuan Menulis Laporan Perjalanan Melalui Metode Pemodelan Pada Siswa Kelas VIII C SMPN 1 Anjongan Tahun Pembelajaran 2012/2013. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peningkatan kemampuan menulis laporan perjalanan melalui metode pemodelan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif dengan bentuk penelitiannya adalah penelitian tindakan kelas. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan hal-hal sebagai berikut. Perencanaan pembelajaran pada siklus I memperoleh skor rata-rata sebesar 3,83, siklus II memperoleh skor rata-rata 4,26. Penerapan metode pemodelan ternyata dapat meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dalam menulis laporan perjalanan. Pada siklus I rata-rata kemampuan siswa menulis laporan perjalanan sebesar 70,37 dan siklus II menjadi 74,08, dengan ketuntasan belajar siklus I sebesar 70,00%, sedangkan pada siklus II ketuntasan belajar siswa naik menjadi 76,67%. Kata Kunci : Kata Kunci : menulis, laporan perjalanan, metode pemodelan Abstract: Writing Reports Capacity Journey Through Modeling Methods In Grade VIII C SMPN 1 Anjongan Year Learning 2012/2013. This study aimed to describe the increase in the ability to write a trip report through modeling methods. The research method used is descriptive method of research is a form of action research. Based on these results we can conclude the following. Learning plan in the first cycle to obtain an average score of 3.83, the second cycle to obtain an average score of 4.26. The application of modeling methods may increase the ability of students to write a trip report. In the first cycle the average ability of students to write a trip report for 70.37 and a 74.08 second cycle, with mastery learning cycle of 70.00%, while on the second cycle mastery learning students rose to 76.67%. Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peranan perkembangan watak tokoh utama dalam novel Harga Diri. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif, bentuk penelitian kualitatif.Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan studi dokumenter. Alat pengumpul data yang digunakan adalah peneliti sendiri sebagai instrument kunci.Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah novel Harga Diri karya Saut Poltak Tambunan. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data penelitian ditemukan 17 data yang mengandung peranan perkembangan watak tokoh utama yang terdapat empat permasalahan utama yaitu: 2 data pada watak tokoh utama yang dibagi menjadi watak positif dan watak negatif. 3 data pada perkembangan watak tokoh utama yaitu, dinamis tidak baik, dinamis baik dan statis baik. 12 data pada peran tokoh terhadap perkembangan watak tokoh utama. Hasil penelitian ini dapat dijadikan sebagai bahan ajar bagi dosen untuk perkuliahan di perguruan tinggi terutama pada Jurusan Pendidikan Bahasa dan Seni, Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Indonesia pada mata kuliah Kajian Prosa semester tiga.   Kata Kunci: Peranan, Perkembangan, Watak Tokoh, Novel Abstract: This study aims to describe the development role of the main character in the novel the character of Harga Diri. The method used is descriptive method, data collection forms kualitatif.Teknik research using documentary study. Data collection tool used is the researchers themselves as the instrument kunci.Sumber data in this study is novel Dignity works Saut Poltak Tambunan. Based on the results of the study data analysis found 17 of data containing the character development of the role of the main character, there are four main issues, namely: 2 data on the character of the main characters are divided into positive character and negative character. 3 Data on the development of the character of the main character, namely, the dynamic is not good, both dynamic and static either. 12 data on the role of leader to the development of the character of the main character. The results could be used as teaching material for lecturers to lecture at universities, especially in the Department of Language Education and Art, Indonesian Education Studies Program at Prose Study subjects third semester.   Keywords: Role, Development, Character, Novel

Abstract

Abstrak: Hasil penelitian yaitu: (1) rima yang terdapat dalam mantra barapus masyarakat Dayak Kanayatnmeliputi: (a) rima berdasarkan bunyi/suaranya: rima penuh, rima mutlak, rima paruh, rima aliterasi, rima asonansi, rima konsonan, dan rima desonansi. (b) rima menurut letaknya kata dalam baris: rima awal, rima tengah, dan rima akhir. (c) rima menurut letak persamaan bunyi dalam baris: rima datar. (d) rima menurut letak pasangan dalam bait: rima terus dan rima bebas. Berdasarkan hasil analisis, rima yang paling dominan berdasarkan bunyi / suaranya adalah rima aliterasi. Rima yang paling dominan berdasarkan letaknya kata dalam baris adalah rima awal. Sedangkan rima yang paling dominan menurut letak pasangan dalam bait adalah rima bebas.(2) fungsi yang terdapat dalam mantra barapus masyarakat Dayak Kanayatn meliputi: (a) fungsi sosial dan (b) fungsi religius. (3) lingkungan pembacaan mantra barapus masyarakat Dayak Kanayatn meliputi: (a) bahan-bahan yang digunakan, dan (b) prosesi pembacaan mantra. Kata Kunci: Bahasa Mantra, Upacara Barapus. Abstract::The result of the research are (1) the rhymes obtained in the spell of Dayak Kanayatn barapus includes: (a) rhyme which is based on the sound or voice: whole rhyme, absolute rhyme, half rhyme , alliteration rhyme, assonance rhyme, consonant rhyme and dissonance rhyme. (b)rhyme based on its location on the lines: early rhyme, middle rhyme, last rhyme. (c) rhyme based on its similarity of voice or sound in lines: flat rhyme. (d) rhyme based on its pair in verse: continuous rhyme and free rhyme. Based on the analysis result, the most dominant rhyme based on its voice or sound is alliteration rhyme. The most dominant rhyme based on its words location in lines is early rhyme. Meanwhile the most dominant according to its location of pairs in verse is free rhyme. (2) the function contained in barapus spell of Dayak Kanayatn included: (a) social function (b) religious function. (3) the environment where the barapus spell of Dayak Kanayatn were perused included: (a) materials used, and (b) speel perusing procession.   Keywords: Spell Language, Barapus Ceremony.

Abstract

AbstractThis class action research was motivated by the low skill in writing rhym texts in class VII A. The low skill in reading pantun texts in grade VII students of SMP Negeri 3 Seluas was caused by several factors, the first factor the students are difficult to determine ideas or themes in writing rhymes, second factor the students are difficult to develop ideas because of the lack of mastery of vocabulary, and the third factor the students are not used to pouring their imagination in a writing. The purpose of this class action research are aims to find out the application of contextual learning approaches to improve learning outcomes in writing pantun texts in grade VII A students in SMP Negeri 3 Seluas. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) using a contextual approach with the following stages; 1) planning, 2) implementation / observation, 3) reflection. This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 3 Seluas with research subjects in class VII A academic years 2018/2019, there are  26 students in the class. This research is descriptive, and the method is a qualitative form. Based on the results of data analysis showed that there was an increase from cycle I to cycle II. This can be seen from the average value of students in each cycle. The average value of students in the first cycle 68.25 with enough categories while the average value of students in the second cycle is 96.5 with a very good category.Keywords: rhymes writing skills, contextual approach

Abstract

AbstractThis research is based on the weakness of MTs student skill. Darul Amin Pontianak in writing poetry. The type of research used is classroom action research (PTK). Qualitative research forms and descriptive methods. The data sources of this research are teachers and students of class VIII of 31 students. Data in this research is planning, implementation, and result of writing poetry. The technique in this research is the technique of test and technique of nontes. Results obtained from the study average student learning outcomes on pretest with an average of 64.37. Results of writing students in the first cycle using the contextual approach has increased by an average of 75.48. The value in cycle II with an average of 79.35. Based on the data of student writing, from cycle I cycle II also increased. The use of contextual approach in the process of writing poetry learning can foster motivation and enthusiasm of students in learning. Students are required to actively seek and find their learning in a way, kontruktivisme, inquiry, ask community, modeling, reflection, and real assessment.Keywords: poetry writing skill, contextual approach.

Abstract

AbstractThis research is motivated by the low acquisition of student scores on listening to poetry. The author takes an action through the discovery learning method with audio visual media to improve poetry listening skills. The purpose of this study is to describe the planning, implementation and results of listening to poetry using the discovery learning method with audio visual media. The method used in this research is descriptive form of classroom action research. This study was conducted in 2 cycles, the procedure for conducting research in each cycle consists of planning, implementing, observing and reflecting learning. The results obtained from this study include: in the first cycle of planning that is equal to 68 (good enough) in the second cycle to 96 (very good). The results of the implementation in the first cycle were 77 (good enough) in the second cycle to 93 (very good). The average results of listening to poetry in the first cycle were 70,96 (good enough) in the second cycle to 80.82 (good). The results of student attitudes assessment include: honest, discipline, responsibility, tolerance in the first cycle of 67.45 (good enough) and in the second cycle to 79.16 (good enough). Key words: Poetry Listening Skills, Discovery Learning Method, Audio Visual
