Abstract

Reproductive health information including STIs and HIV/AIDS has been provided in community health center. In fact, the level of adolescent knowledge in terms of sexual health and its risks is still low. This study aims to identify adolescent needs of information services on sexual and reproductive health including STIs and HIV/AIDS. All adolescent aged 15 to 19 years in Ngesrep village were recruited as a sample. There were 237 adolescents participated in this cross sectional study. The findings showed that half of them have low level of knowledge, nearly half have permissive sexual attitudes, 15% have engaged in sexual intercourse. Adolescents need comprehensive information including pregnancy, sexual diseases and HIV/AIDS which provided by health workers at school health programs.

Abstract

Teenegers who experience unwanted pregnancies are increasing. The number of client that access the Unwanted Pregnancy counseling services in IPPA Central Java in the year 2006 (94 clients), 2007 (91 clients), 2008 (95 clients), 2009 (68 clients), 2010 (157 clients), 2011 (98 clients), and 2012 (83 clients). Related to that data, 31% of clients were referred Haid Induction (HI), 3% refer shelter, and 66% continue the pregnancy and there were not identified. This research cunducted in 2014 used quantitative-qualitative approach which aimed to develop a model of counseling after mapping the case. Respondents were 5 Unwaned Prenancy counseling clients selected based on the final decision of counseling. From the research developed counseling model for teenage which should have an easy procedure, complete services, opening hours accordingly, no discrimination, respect privacy, provide pro choice, and low prices. Services consists of counseling, contraception, safe abortion, treatment of STIs, information center counseling and HIV testing, gynecological, prenatal and postnatal services, as well as the services of victims of gender based violence and sexual abuse.

Abstract

Faktor penyebab kekebalan Mycobacterium tuberculose terhadap Obat Anti TB (OAT) adalah perilaku manusia, baik penyedia layanan, pasien, maupun program atau sistem layanan kesehatan yang berakibat terhadap tatalaksana pengobatan pasien TB yang tidak sesuai dengan standar dan mutu yang ditetapkan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran perilaku pengobatan pada pasien TB MDR fase intensif di RSDM Surakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan cross sectional dengan metode gabungan dengan pendekatan kuantitaf dan kualitatif. Metode pengambilan sampling dilakukan secara total sampling yaitu sebanyak 28 responden dan 2 informan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebanyak 64% responden tidak patuh dalam menjalankan saran medis, 55% responden memiliki pengetahuan yang baik tentang TBC, 50% responden memiliki sikap yang kurang terhadap pengobatan TBC, 75% responden merasakan efek samping yang banyak, 86% responden mengeluarkan biaya tambahan selama pengobatan, dan 32% keluarga responden kurang memberikan dukungan selama pengobatan. Hasil kualitatif menunjukkan bahwa informan menyampaikan bahwa efek samping yang berat menjadi alasan informan menghentikan pengobatan.

Abstract

Controlling HIV and AIDS requird involved People Living With HIV AIDS (PLWHA).  This study aims to determine the factors that determine whether the PLWHA response in control to HIV and AIDS in Sukoharjo Grobogan. This research was a quantitative study with cross sectional approach .This research was supported by qualitative research with FGD. The number of respondents was 92 PLWHA, the proportion of 50% and 95% confidence interval . Analysis of the data using univariate analysis with frequency distribution , bivariate using Chi-Square and multivariate using logistic regression . The results showed that the variables related to the PLWHA response is a relationship with people living with HIV ( p = 0,001 ) , long life with people living with HIV ( p = 0.030 ) , longer know the status of PLWHA ( 0.001 ) and attitude ( p = 0.005 ). Multivariate analysis showed that the attitude (p value = 0,006) was a variable that has the most significant effect compared to other variables .  Advice given to the government is to provide socialization on HIV AIDS comprehensively to the whole society by involving health agencies , NGOs , religious leaders and community leaders .

Abstract

Kanker serviks merupakan the silent killer diseases dengan penderita risiko tinggi pada perempuan mulai umur 20 tahun sehingga remaja perempuan perlu melakukan tindakan preventif secara dini melalui vaksinasi HPV. Tuiuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui faktor-faktor yang berhubungan dengan sikap remaja perempuan terhadap pencegahan kanker serviks melalui vaksinasi HPV, dengan sampel penelitian adalah mahasiswi berlatar belakang kesehatan dari empat universitas di Kota Semarang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sikap remaja perempuan mendukung pencegahan kanker serviks melalui vaksinasi HPV (92,9%). Dari uji statistik terlihat ada hubungan antara keyakinan remaja perempuan dengan sikap (p=0,00), ada hubungan antara pengetahuan dengan sikap (p=0,005), ada hubungan antara sikap keluarga dengan sikap remaja perempuan (p=0,009). Dari penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa keyakinan terhadap viksinasi HPV pengetahuan tentang kanker serviks dan vaksin HPV serta sikap keluarga terhadap vaksinasi HPV merupakan factor yang berhubungan dengan sikap remaja perempuan terhadap pencegahan kanker serviks melalui vaksinasi HPV. Kata kunci : sikap, kanker serviks, vaksin HPV, remaja The factors associated with attiude factors adolescent girl to prevention cervical cancer through HPV vaccination; Cervical cancer is the silent killer disease with high risk patients in women starting at 20 years old that adolescent girls need to take some prevention action at an early stage through HPV vaccination. This study investigate the factors associated with attitude factors adolescent girls to prevention cervical cancer through HPV vaccination, with sample were student with medical backgrounds from four universities in the Semarang City. These result indicate that the attitude of adolescent girls support the prevention of cervical cancer through HPV vaccination (92,9%). The results of the chi square test statistic showed associated between adolescent girls with an attitutde (p=0.00), associated between knowledge with attitude (p=0,005), associated between familly attitude with the attitude of adolescent girls (p=0,009). Conclution this study is belief of against HPV vaccination, knowledge about cervical cancer and HPV vaccines and family attitudes toward HPV vaccination is a factor related to adolescent female attitudes towaids the prevention of cervical cancer through HPV vaccination. Abstract

Populasi perokok yang mulai merokok sebelum berumur 19 tahun meningkat dari 69% tahun 2001 meniadi 78% tahun 2004. Penelitian ini bertuiuan untuk mengetahui pola pemasaran rokok, karakteristik perokok dan perilaku merokok siswa SMA/sederajat do Kota Semarang. Penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif kualitatif dengan subyek adalah siswa SMA/sederajat, berumur l5-19 tahun, berstatus perokok. Pengambilan subyek penelitian menggunakan metode Purposive Sampling. Pengumpulan data melalui wawancara dan diskusi kelompok terarah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan sebagian besar subyek memulai merokok ketika berumur dibawah 15 tahun, memiliki konsep diri yang negatif karena merokok, mengetahui kegawatan dari penyakit akibat rokok, akan tetapi belum dapat berhenti karena factor kecanduan. Pola pemasaran produk rokok yang berpengaruh kuat membentuk perilaku merokok remaja adalah pergaulan teman sebaya, perilaku merokok orangtua atau keluarga terdekat. Pengetahuan subjek yang masih rendah tentang rokok mengakibatkan sikap yang positif terhadap perilaku merokok. The goal of this research were to analized cigarette marketing pattterns, smoker characteristic, and smoking behaviour of senior High school student in Semarang city. The type of this research is descriptive and qualitative that sample were smoker students on 15-19th years old and taken by purposive sampling. Collecting data by interview and Focus Group Discussion. The result showed that almost subject started smoking when they were on l5th years old, they have a negative concept because of smoker status, and actually know the illness, but cannot stop smoking. The association between friends, parents or family behaviour were form of cigarette marketing patterns that have strong influence of smoking behaviour. Abstract

The high number of cases of HIV AIDS in housewives in Semarang City is not only a threat to the safety of the lives of mothers, their babies conceived are at risk of contracting the HIV virus because of transmission from mother to baby. In the second prong of the Prevention of Mother to Child Transmission (PMTCT), prevention of unplanned pregnancies in mothers with HIV is necessary. This study aims to describe pregnancy planning in HIV positive housewives in Semarang City. This study uses a qualitative method. The research subjects were 5 people taken by purposive sampling method and data collection techniques through in-depth interviews. The results showed that careful planning was carried out by subjects who had HIV positive husbands. Condom use was consistently carried out by subjects who had HIV positive husbands and released condoms after fulfilling eligible requirements for the pregnancy. Subjects with high risk aged feel vulnerable to pregnancy, this causes the desire to have fewer children. In planning a pregnancy, most subjects had a CD4 cell count> 350 cells / mm3, almost all subjects had an undetectable viral load, and all subjects had taken ARV regularly for more than 6 months. The actions taken by subjects who did not meet the eligible requirements for the pregnancy included maintaining a diet, adequate rest, taking ARVs regularly, consuming milk for pregnancy preparation, and consulting with a doctor.

Abstract

Screening for Sexually Transmitted  Infections ( STI ) is one of STI management program in group sex workers. During 2014 , from 278 visits to the health center Bergas, there were 11 people diagnosed with bacterial vaginosis positive and 90 positive servitis. Localization of Tegal panas has the lowest number of screening visits among other localization in Semarang district. The purpose of this study to analyze the behavior of Female Sexual Workers ( FSWs ) in STI screening in Localization Tegal panas Regency Semarang. This research is quantitative with cross sectional approach. A total of 109 respondents from a total population of 120 people. Analyzed using univariate and bivariate analysis. The results of this study indicate that as many as 70,6 % of respondents did not do the screening. Factors associated with screening behavior is age with p-value 0,002, long working with p-value of 0,005, and the support pimps with p-value  0,001. Factors not associated with screening behavior is education, knowledge, attitudes, perceptions of screening services, behavioral friends, and support health workers. From this study it can be concluded that there is a relationship between age, long working and support pimps with FSWs behavior in STI screening. Suggestions for Localization board Tegal panas that there are stricter regulations related to the behavior of female sex workers in following the screening.
