Abstract

Obesity is a major risk factor for atherosclerosis and cardiovascular disease, characterized by dyslipidemia and oxidative stress. This study aimed to evaluate the anti-atherogenic effects of a combination of ethanol extracts of turmeric rhizome (Curcuma longa) and gotu kola leaves (Centella asiatica) in obese–hyperlipidemic rats.  Male rats were divided into seven groups: normal, induction, comparator (orlistat 10.8 mg/kgBW), and treatment groups receiving single and combined extracts (ERK, EDP, ERKDP 200:100, ERKDP 100:200 mg/kgBW). Obesity and hyperlipidemia were induced using a high-fat and fructose diet for 60 days. Parameters measured included body weight, lipid profile (TG, HDL, LDL, total cholesterol), Atherogenic Index of Plasma (AIP), and aortic histology. The induction group showed significant increases in body weight, triglycerides, LDL, and AIP (P<0.05). All treatment groups significantly improved lipid profiles and reduced AIP compared to the induction group. The ERKDP 100:200 mg/kgBW combination showed the most optimal effect, with a 51.83% reduction in LDL, a 54.60% decrease in AIP, and a 146% increase in HDL. Histological analysis also demonstrated reduced foam cell formation and improved aortic structure in this group. In conclusion, the combination of turmeric and gotu kola extracts, particularly at a dose of 100:200 mg/kgBW, exhibits significant anti-atherogenic potential through lipid profile improvement, AIP reduction, and vascular protection.

Abstract

In the current era of technology, photos are an important existence for modern society where with photos we can get a lot of information. Quality photos must have a good resolution and level of sharpness, but sometimes the photos obtained are sometimes not satisfied, especially in the resolution section where there are some photos with low resolution. With the use of ESRGAN photos that have low resolutions can be increased so that the resolution without reducing the quality of the photo significantly.

Abstract

The application of information technology in the health sector, especially the e-Puskesmas system, is intended to improve the quality of services at the Grobogan Regency Community Health Center. The main objective of the study was to analyze the comparison between two models: the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology 2 (UTAUT 2). The study was conducted at the Grobogan Regency Community Health Center from January to March 2025. The population in this study was pharmaceutical personnel at the Grobogan Regency Community Health Center, and the sample in the study consisted of 90 people. The method in this study was comparative quantitative, with data quality testing using validity tests, reliability tests, and one-way ANOVA tests. The results of the one-way ANOVA test showed no significant difference between the TAM method and the UTAUT 2 method, with a sig value of 0.773 > α (0.05), which means there was no significant difference between the TAM method and the UTAUT 2 method in measuring the success of the implementation of the Puskesmas at the Grobogan Regency Community Health Center. This study canit can be concluded that in this study there is no significant difference between the TAM Method and the UTAUT 2 Method in measuring the success of the implementatione-Puskesmasat the Community Health Centers in Grobogan Regency.

Abstract

Abstract

Obesity is a global health problem closely associated with endothelial dysfunction, oxidative stress, and renal impairment, where endothelial nitric oxide synthase (eNOS) expression and nitric oxide (NO) levels serve as critical biomarkers for endothelial function. This study aimed to evaluate the effects of turmeric (Curcuma longa) extract, pegagan (Centella asiatica) extract, and their combination on body weight, organ index, fat index, blood biomarkers, and renal eNOS gene expression in obese rats. Male white rats were randomly divided into six groups: normal control, negative control (high-fat diet), positive control (orlistat 10.8 mg/kgBW), turmeric extract (200 mg/kgBW), pegagan extract (200 mg/kgBW), and a combination of turmeric–pegagan extracts (200:100 mg/kgBW). Treatments were administered for 60 days, and parameters assessed included body weight, organ index, fat index, blood biomarkers (ITT, creatinine, NO, elastin), and renal eNOS expression using PCR. Statistical analysis was performed using one-way ANOVA followed by Tukey’s post hoc test. The results demonstrated that the combination of turmeric and pegagan extracts significantly reduced body weight, liver, kidney, and heart indices, as well as visceral fat index, while improving blood biomarkers through the reduction of creatinine levels, along with an increase in NO serum approaching normal compared with the negative control group; the respective mean values were -10.14±0.57%, 5.52±0.73%, 1.23±0.21%, 0.64±0.06%, 1.35±0.05%, 0.33±0.06 mg/dL, dan 5.14±0.58 mmol/L. Renal eNOS expression exhibited an increasing trend in the combination group, although not statistically significant. In conclusion, the combination of turmeric and pegagan extracts exerts synergistic effects in improving endothelial dysfunction and renal impairment in obesity through lipid profile modulation, reduction of organ damage biomarkers, and enhancement of NO bioavailability.
