Abstract

ABSTRACTPneumonia is an acute respiratory infection that adversely affects the lungs caused by viruses, bacteria or fungi, where pneumonia accounts for 15 percent of under-five deaths in the world and resulted in 808,694 children dying in 2017 (WHO, 2019). The purpose of this study was to analyze family behavior and the condition of the physical home environment with the incidence of pneumonia in children under five in Indonesia. The method in this study is a literature review. The data sources in this study came from Google Scholar, Science Direct, and Pubmed then sorted according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria and obtained 28 research articles. The results of the analysis of several studies show that smoking habits of family members (83.3%), use of mosquito coils (50%), house occupancy density (72.7%), and type of house floor (50%) are associated with the incidence of pneumonia in children under five. . It is hoped that the puskesmas can make efforts to control the risk of pneumonia in toddlers by conducting periodic counseling about the dangers of smoking to toddlers and how to overcome them, as well as relating to factors that affect the physical condition of the home environment, especially in the density of residential houses with a house building area that should be sufficient. for the occupants in it.Keywords: Pneumonia Incidence, Literature Review, Family behavior, Home Physical Environment Condition.ANALISIS PERILAKU KELUARGA BALITA DAN KONDISI LINGKUNGAN FISIK RUMAH TERHADAP KEJADIAN PNEUMONIA PADA BALITA DI INDONESIA: LITERATURE REVIEW  TAHUN 2012-2021

Abstract

Scabies is a significant disease for public health because it is a substantial contributor to global morbidity and mortality. The prevalence of scabies worldwide is reported to be around 300 million cases annually. The incidence of scabies in Indonesia is still very high and located in West java. The purpose of this study was to analyze the characteristic risk factors and personal hygiene, as well as to test the sensitivity of these risk factors to the incidence of scabies in Islamic boarding school students. The variable gender has a 2,117 times greater risk, knowledge has a 1,323 times greater risk, bathing habits have a 1.185 times greater risk, cleanliness of clothing has a 1,553 times greater risk of experiencing disease scabies. The results of the meta-analysis that has a greater level of risk in terms of characteristics is the gender variable and the personal hygiene variable that has a greater risk factor is the clothing cleanliness variable. Efforts that can be made by related agencies in the Pondok Pesantren area are to carry out promotive and preventive activities to prevent the occurrence of scabies in Islamic boarding schools.

Purpose:  of this research is to determine the factors of the occurrence of dengue hemorrhagic fever in the city of Ternate. Methods: The design of this research is a study of population literature. This research is a scientific journal related to public knowledge about the factors that occur in Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever, with dengue hemorrhagic fever as a variable.  Results: Results Based on this research showed that research in 6 journals was obtained related to public knowledge about the factors for the occurrence of DHF. There were 6 journals, namely there was a relationship between knowledge in the factors of the occurrence of the disease in terms of knowledge about the occurrence of DHF. Conclusion: From the results of research on 6 journals, it can be related to the community about the factors that occurits pdengue fever. Obtained 4 journals that say there is a relationship between the influence of climate and the epidemiology of DHF events in the factors of the occurrence of DHF with a high percentage value in terms of occurrenceits pdengue fever.

Generation Z is able to have great characteristics and potential to improve their environment which has been damaged by individuals who do not want to protect their own environment. This research aims to raise awareness of generation Z in managing household waste regarding diseases caused by waste. This type of research is a quantitative research with the design of this research is associative causal which has the aim of looking for causal relationships between variables. The target in this study were the people in RW 9 Larangan Village, Candi District, Sidoarjo Regency with a total population of 70 people. The conclusion in this study is that only household waste management has a significant relationship with a negative relationship to diseases caused by waste. Abstract

Background: Inadequate sanitation is a key contributor to the spread of diseases such as diarrhea, skin infections, and acute respiratory infections (ARI), particularly in rural areas like Pendung Tengah Village, Kerinci Regency. Limited knowledge and unfavorable attitudes toward hygiene exacerbate these conditions. Objective: This study aims to assess the impact of Community-Based Total Sanitation (STBM) education on improving knowledge and attitudes. Aim: To evaluate the effectiveness of STBM education in enhancing sanitation-related awareness and behavior among housewives. Method: A pre-experimental one-group pretest-posttest design was conducted involving 30 randomly selected housewives, using a structured questionnaire and paired t-test analysis. Result: Significant increases were observed in knowledge (from 6.10 to 9.00) and attitudes (from 7.23 to 9.13), with a p-value of 0.000 (< 0.05). Conclusion: STBM education effectively improves sanitation knowledge and attitudes, though sustained efforts are needed for long-term impact. The study hypothesizes that STBM education significantly enhances household sanitation behavior. The novelty lies in empowering rural housewives as key agents of change, showing that targeted, behaviorbased education can be impactful and scalable in low-resource settings.

Abstract

Background: In early January 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic affected all countries globally. The resulting reduction in vehicular mobility during the pandemic period temporarily eased pressure on the environment by lowering greenhouse gas emissions. Consequently, attention to environmental components-particularly the physical and biological aspects of water and air media-has become increasingly important. Methods: This study employed a quantitative approach, gathering data through surveys distributed to participants of a webinar attended by 500 individuals. The survey was disseminated via a Google Form shared through the Zoom chat feature. Data were analyzed using SMART PLS Version 4 to determine the relationship between environmental components and environmental media. Results: Analysis of responses from 500 participants indicated that the majority prioritized water and air environmental media. This was supported by high loading factor values for the water environment (0.782) and air environment (0.760). The Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) analysis revealed that environmental components significantly influence environmental media, with a T-statistic value of 64.119 and a p-value of 0.000 (T > 1.96, p < 0.05).Conclusion: Environmental components have a significant effect on environmental media, underscoring the importance of environmental management. The Climate Village Program (Program Kampung Iklim) emerges as a potential community-based initiative to mitigate climate-related diseases, including airborne transmission of COVID-19.
