Abstract

Lettuce is one of the vegetable plants that contain water, energy, protein, and fat; rich in carbohydrates, fiber, sugar, calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, sodium, zinc, copper, manganese, selenium, vitamin C, and several other vitamins. Solids are the waste from the by-products of fresh fruit bunch (FFB) processing in palm oil mills. Inorganic fertilizers are fertilizers from chemical, physical, and biological engineering processes resulting from an industry or fertilizer manufacturing plant. The provision of solid compost with urea fertilizer is expected to complement each other's nutrient needs. In contrast, lettuce plants need nitrogen nutrients in the vegetative phase and protein formation in their tissues. This research aimed to evaluate the effect of several doses of solid compost treatment with urea fertilizer and get the best combination of solid compost with urea fertilizer on the growth and production of lettuce plants (Lactuca sativa L.). The research was conducted experimentally using a completely randomized design (CRD) with six fertilizer treatments. The treatments included: 30 ton/ha solid compost + 0 kg/ha urea fertilizer, 30 ton/ha solid compost + 100 kg/ha urea fertilizer, 30 ton/ha solid compost + 200 kg/ha urea fertilizer, 20 ton/ha solid compost + 0 kg/ha urea fertilizer, 20 ton/ha solid compost + 100 kg/ha urea fertilizer, 20 ton/ha solid compost + 200 kg/ha Urea fertilizer. The results were analyzed using variance analysis and continued with Duncan's multiple range test at the 5% level. Applying 20 - 30 tons/ha of solid compost with 200 kg/ha of urea fertilizer gave the best results on the growth and yield of lettuce plants.

Abstract

Tujuan pelaksanaan program pengabdian ini adalah untuk memberikan pengetahuan dan keteramilan menggunakan dan membuat aplikasi canva secara menarik kepada mahasiswa UMALA di kos seputar kampus kota metro. metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah pendamping menggunakan pendekatan Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini akan menggunakan metode pendekatan PAR (Participatory Action Research). Berdasarkan hasil pengabdian yang dilakukan bahwa Canva adalah satu diantara banyaknya aplikasi yang dapat dimanfaatkan dalam mendesain media pelajaran. Fitur-fitur yang tersedia dapat dikembangkan sekreatif mungkin dan membuat kegiatan pembelajaran di kelas menjadi lebih komunikatif dan visual menjadi lebih mudah dan menyenangkan. Dalam aplikasi canva tersedih banyak sekali template yang dapat digunakan dengan mudah yakni template untuk poster, pamflet, logo, dokumen, untuk postingan di instagram, wallpaper, laporan, kolase foto, surat kabar, cover majalah, pengumuman, video, sampul buku, kartu bisnis, brosur, infografis, story board, template untuk mempost foto atau video di sosial media, undangan dan lain-lain, yang tentunya dapat dikirim ke berbagai platform sosial media.

Abstract

PT. XYZ is a company operating in the international standard Agro chemical industry. Products produced by PT. XYZ is ethanol, SCP30 and humic compounds. The aim of this research is to analyze SCP30 product defects, determine the factors that cause defects, and analyze how production control is implemented. The research used the QCC method and the research itself was carried out at PT. XYZ which is located in Kebakkramat. The author carried out research by observing the production process time and conducting direct interviews in order to find out and conclude the causes of product defects. Based on findings in the field, there are 3 types of defects, namely less dry, soft and burnt defects. After carrying out analysis, observation and interviews with related parties, it can be concluded that the causes of product defects occur. then we can propose improvements using the 5W+1H analysis. After improvements and implementation of QCC, it was found that the defect reduction was 7.11%, although it was still above the company standard, namely 6%. The decrease in soft and less dry defects reached zero defects while burnt defects increased. However, it is not a problem for the company because it can still be used compared to other defects. Next, standardization is made. This research can still be continued until it reaches zero defect

Abstract

This research aims to develop a mathematical learning media using Geogebra software. The research method is used the 4D (Four D Model) research method adopted by Siva sailam Thiagarajan, Dorothy S. Semmel, and Melvyn I. Semmel. namely, define, design, develop. The data collection techniques are used to obtain the data on questionnaires response and interviews. The instruments in this research used questionnaires. The data analysis method using descriptive method. This research is conducted by describing the results of product development in the form of learning media for small groups and large groups with media that has been validated by some validators. The Experts of validation results on the content quality aspect to obtain results with very good criteria and on aspects of the language to obtain results with very good criteria. Trial students VII class in small classes and large classes obtained results with interesting criteria for small groups.

Abstract

To prepare students to compete in 21st-century skills, the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia integrates character education into school subjects. However, as a medium, comics do not contain the level of character values, exploration, and critical thinking skills in problem-solving on geometry material. Therefore, the aim of this study is to produce digital media based on character values on mathematical critical thinking skills in solving problems related to learning styles for eighth-grade students. This development research employed the 4-D method (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate). The study indicates that the digital comic learning media is valid with a total average score of 3.60 based on the material expert’s validation and 3.50 based on the media expert’s validation. The eight-grade students' responses were positive (92%) based on the trials. The learning outcomes in terms of kinesthetic, auditory, and visual learning styles used in this study can all meet all indicators of mathematical problem-solving.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine whether 1) ARIAS learning model affected critical thinking skills; 2) students’ learning interest category (high, medium, and low) affected critical thinking skills; and 3) there is an interaction between the learning model groups and the learning interest groups on critical thinking skills. This research was a quasi-experimental research with a 2 X 3 factorial research design. The instruments used to collect the data were a critical thinking test and a learning interest questionnaire. The data analysis technique used in this research was the analysis of the two-way variance of two unequal cell paths. According to the results of research and discussion, it was found that 1) there was an effect of the ARIAS learning model on students’ critical thinking skills; 2) students’ learning interest did not affect their critical thinking skills; 3) there was no interaction between the ARIAS learning model and learning interest on critical thinking skills.

Abstract

Oil palm (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.) holds a very strategic role in the Indonesia economy. Plants that have reached the economical age of 25 years need to be replanted using qualified oil palm seedling. The qualified seedling is obtained through proper fertilization. The combination of NPK fertilizer and organic material of oil palm empty fruit bunches (OPEFB) which has been given a cellulolytic bacterial consortium can provide sufficient nutrients for the growth of oil palm seedlings. The study aimed to determine the effect of giving a combination of OPEFB organic material, cellulolytic bacterial consortium, and NPK fertilizer on the growth of oil palm seedling (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.) at main nursery. This experiment used a single factor experiment arranged in a Completely Randomized Design (CRD). The treatments were a 100% NPK, a OPEFB compost, a 50% NPK + OPEFB compost, a 50% NPK + OPEFB + Cellulolytic bacterial consortium, and a OPEFB + cellulolytic bacterial consortium. The results showed that the application of inorganic fertilizers combined with organic fertilizers (a OPEFB compost and a OPEFB + cellulolytic bacterial consortium) had a good effect on each parameter. Giving organic fertilizer without inorganic fertilizer had not affected plant growth on all parameters. Application of a OPEFB compost and a OPEFB + cellulolytic bacterial consortium can reduce the use of inorganic fertilizers by 50%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kualitas pendidikan yang baik dapat membantu meningkatkan kemampuan dan keterampilan sumber daya manusia, sehingga dapat meningkatkan daya saing bangsa di tingkat global. Oleh karena itu, peningkatan kualitas pendidikan merupakan salah satu prioritas utama dalam pembangunan pendidikan di Indonesia. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis bagaimana manajemen mutu sekolah dapat meningkatkan kinerja guru dalam proses pembelajaran. Kinerja guru merupakan faktor kunci dalam pencapaian mutu pendidikan yang optimal. Melalui pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif, data diperoleh dari wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi di dua sekolah dasar negeri yaitu SDN Margalaksana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi manajemen mutu berbasis perencanaan strategis, pelaksanaan evaluasi berkelanjutan, serta pemberdayaan guru melalui pelatihan dan supervisi, memberikan dampak positif terhadap peningkatan kompetensi pedagogik dan profesional guru. Dengan demikian, manajemen mutu sekolah yang efektif menjadi pondasi penting dalam membentuk budaya kerja yang produktif dan berkinerja tinggi.

Abstract

Although the kafala system remains in place in most GCC countries, Qatar has undertaken significant reforms and ratified a number of conventions related to human rights, such as those on the prevention of human trafficking and the protection of children. The purpose of this study is to describe the labor system (Kafala) that has long been adopted by GCC countries, including Qatar. Qatar is the only country that is progressive enough to reform its migrant worker policy. This research is qualitative because the instrument used is a document study. The results of this study indicate that the number of high dependence on migrant workers is quite high and vulnerable to labor scandals. This is further exacerbated by the mobilization of migrant workers to welcome the grand event of the four years, the 2022 World Cup. The phenomenon is growing massively, including reports from the International Human Rights Institute, Amnesty International and the International Labor Organization (ILO) forcing the Qatari government to make adjustments

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji efektivitas penggunaan Papan Bilangan Berpangkat (PLAKAT) sebagai media pembelajaran dalam meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap konsep eksponen. Latar belakang penelitian ini didasarkan pada kesulitan siswa dalam memahami operasi eksponen yang bersifat abstrak dan minimnya penggunaan alat peraga dalam pembelajaran. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain eksperimen. Siswa dibagi menjadi kelompok eksperimen yang menggunakan PLAKAT dan kelompok kontrol yang menggunakan metode konvensional. Data dikumpulkan melalui pre-test dan post-test serta observasi selama proses pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan PLAKAT secara signifikan meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap konsep eksponen dibandingkan dengan metode konvensional. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa PLAKAT merupakan alat bantu yang efektif dalam memperjelas konsep eksponen serta meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa.
