Abstract

The focus of this study delves into the intricate dynamics among service innovation, service quality metrics, customer satisfaction levels, and the resultant loyalty patterns observed within the Indonesian Classification Bureau. The study investigates the direct impact of service innovation on service quality, customer satisfaction, and loyalty, while also exploring how service quality and satisfaction act as mediators in these relationships. Through rigorous regression and mediation analyses, the research reveals that service innovation enhances service quality but does not directly affect satisfaction or loyalty. Notably, improved service quality significantly correlates with higher levels of satisfaction and loyalty, with satisfaction playing a pivotal role in strengthening loyalty. These findings underscore the mediating roles of service quality and satisfaction in shaping the impact of service innovation on customer loyalty. The study advocates prioritizing initiatives to enhance service quality and implement effective loyalty programs. Furthermore, it recommends future investigations into specific types of service innovations and additional mediating factors that influence customer loyalty dynamics.

Abstract

The impact of flexible work arrangements (FWA) on employee performance remains inconclusive due to the tendency of prior research to analyze the phenomenon from a single perspective, either that of the employee or the organization. This study aims to address this gap by examining the influence of two forms of FWA—flexibility as a contribution and flexibility as an inducement—on employee performance, while also investigating the moderating role of e-work self-efficacy. Guided by social exchange theory and the Job Demands-Resources (JD-R) model, an online survey was conducted using a cross-sectional design, collecting 545 valid responses from employees in the ICT-based industry. The data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The findings reveal that flexibility as a contribution negatively impacts employee performance, whereas flexibility as an inducement has a positive effect. The moderation analysis further shows that e-work self-efficacy significantly moderates the relationship between flexibility as a contribution and both task and contextual performance but not adaptive performance. Similarly, e-work self-efficacy significantly moderates the relationship between flexibility as an inducement and task performance but not contextual or adaptive performance. This study concludes that the effects of FWA on employee performance are nuanced and depend on the form of flexibility offered and the level of employees’ e-work self-efficacy. These findings provide actionable insights for organizations to optimize FWA policies to enhance employee performance.

Abstract

Women’s entrepreneurship in the tourism industry plays a crucial role in fostering economic development, gender equality, and sustainability. However, despite increasing participation, female entrepreneurs continue to face systemic barriers, including financial exclusion, socio-cultural constraints, limited business networks, and digitalization gaps. This systematic literature review (SLR) synthesizes existing research on the challenges, emerging trends, and future research directions in women’s entrepreneurship within the tourism sector. Findings highlight that gender biases in financial institutions, socio-cultural restrictions, and a lack of policy interventions significantly hinder the growth and sustainability of women-led tourism enterprises. Additionally, while digital transformation and sustainability trends present new opportunities, many women entrepreneurs remain excluded due to technological illiteracy, limited funding, and lack of access to digital platforms. The study identifies several research gaps, including the lack of longitudinal studies on women’s business sustainability, limited evaluations of gender-responsive policies, and insufficient exploration of post-COVID-19 recovery strategies for female-led tourism businesses. Moreover, the review highlights the need for comparative analyses of financial inclusion programs, digital entrepreneurship, and climate resilience strategies in tourism. Based on these insights, this study proposes future research directions focusing on financial accessibility models, gender-sensitive digital transformation strategies, and sustainable tourism policies tailored to women entrepreneurs. Policy recommendations emphasize the importance of inclusive financial frameworks, mentorship programs, digital upskilling, and stronger institutional support to foster a more equitable, resilient, and competitive tourism industry for female entrepreneurs.

Abstract

This article aims to analyse the case of water pollution in the Brantas Watershed and explore the application of  Corporate Citizenship and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) by stakeholders (Companies and Communities located around the Brantas Watershed), and related to industrial and domestic waste management. The main focus of the research is on the social responsibility of the Stakeholders as well as the role of the central government, provincial government, and district/city government in controlling environmental pollution. Using a qualitative approach with a case study method and secondary data analysis, this research describes the various negative impacts of pollution, ranging from damage to the river ecosystem to health risks for the community. The results show that pollution of the Brantas River is caused by the industry's low compliance with waste treatment, weak government supervision, and lack of community participation in protecting the environment. Despite regulatory efforts and legal interventions, policy implementation still faces implementation constraints and limited resources. This research recommends increased supervision, stricter law enforcement, cross-sector collaboration, and community education as strategies to strengthen the sustainability of river management.

Abstract

The provision of environmentally friendly, cheap and safe energy for citizens by taking into account the mix of national energy use by considering the country's financial ability to provide subsidies is a policy that must be carried out by the Government. In this case, the Government of Indonesia itself has taken the initiative to save subsidies through the conversion of kerosene to the use of LPG which is safer for the community. However, the high LPG subsidy because it still relies on imports for its fulfillment also ultimately raises other problems. Starting in 2009, the Government continued to take initiatives to overcome this by continuing existing policies by building Household Gas Networks to optimize the potential of natural gas that is widely available in Indonesia and to reduce dependence on the use of LPG, especially in the household consumer sector and small customers. This policy is even included in one of the National Strategic Projects through Presidential Decree No. 18 of 2020 where this is also contained in the Medium-Term Development Plan (RJPMN) which targets the construction of 4.7 million household connections by the end of 2024, but in fact until 2022 only around 871,000 connections have been realized. This study conducts an analysis of policy evaluation of Jargas Development through the CIPP (Context, Input, Process &; Product) approach to get a comprehensive picture of the policy process that occurs. From the results of the study, it was found that there are still things that need to be improved to ensure that this policy can better achieve the expected targets, both in terms of planning to policy implementation that involves many parties in it and also recommendations for implementation in the future
