Abstract

Kecamatan Sungai Kakap merupakan daerah yang berbatasan langsung dengan Laut Natuna, sehingga membuat air sungai disana rentan terhadap intrusi air laut. Oleh karena itu, air hujan menjadi kebutuhan pokok air bersih warga disana. Desa Sungai Kakap dan Desa Sungai Itik adalah lokasi yang dikaji dan merupakan dua dari sembilan desa di Kecamatan Sungai Kakap yang masuk dalam kategori wilayah potensi rawan kekeringan dengan kelas bahaya sedang. Penelitian ini menggunakan data primer yang terdiri dari sampel air hujan, survey lapangan, dokumentasi lokasi, dan wawancara, serta data sekunder berupa data curah hujan, data jumlah penduduk, dan peta wilayah. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, kualitas sampel air hujan sudah memenuhi parameter wajib Permenkes Nomor 492/MENKES/PER/IV/2010 Tentang Persyaratan Kualitas Air Minum, kecuali parameter bakteri Coliform. Dari hasil analisa proyeksi, potensi curah hujan yang dapat dipanen di Kecamatan Sungai Kakap mampu memenuhi kebutuhan air bersih untuk masak dan minum bahkan hingga 10 tahun mendatang. Untuk jumlah tampungan yang optimal apabila tidak terjadi hujan/kekeringan dalam rentang mingguan, maka jumlah tampungan ideal adalah kelipatan 2 tempayan (tampungan) kapasitas 350 L. Sedangkan apabila tidak terjadi hujan/kekeringan dalam rentang bulanan, maka jumlah tampungan ideal adalah kelipatan 9 tempayan (tampungan) kapasitas 350 L. Kemudian untuk dimensi tampungan ABSAH optimum yang direncanakan adalah 10 X 3 X 2,5 m3.

Abstract

Dalam proses pembelajaran di sekolah baik guru maupun siswa, pasti mengharapkan hasil yang sebaik-baiknya. Dalam kenyataan, harapan itu tidak selalu terwujud, masih banyak siswa yang tidak memperoleh hasil yang memuaskan. Kesulitan belajar merupakan kondisi dimana peserta didik mengalami hambatan dalam proses pembelajaran, penyebabnya bisa berasal dari faktor internal maupun faktor eksternal siswa, dan ada berbagai jenis kesulitan belajar itu sendiri. Hal ini menjadi tantangan yang selalu dihadapi oleh para guru. Tujuan penulisan ini adalah untuk mengetahui beberapa kesulitan belajar yang dialami setiap anak berbeda, dan artikel ini dapat memberi kemudahan untuk mengenal berbagai macam kesulitan belajar dan solusinya. Guru turut berperan membantu memecahkan masalah yang dihadapi siswa, peran guru sangat diperlukan oleh peserta didik. adapun upaya yang harus dilakukan guru untuk mengatasi kesulitan belajar, seperti; identifikasi untuk menemukan siswa yang mengalami kesulitan belajar, diagnosis penentuan mengenai hasil dari pengolahan data tentang siswa yang mengalami kesulitan belajar dan jenis kesulitan belajar yang dialami siswa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi pentingnya pengembangan literasi di tingkat Sekolah Dasar sebagai dasar penting dalam pendidikan anak-anak. Menurut Harvey J. Graff (2006), literasi adalah kemampuan menulis dan membaca, sedangkan Elizabeth Sulzby (1986) mendefinisikan literasi sebagai kemampuan berbahasa yang meliputi membaca, berbicara, menyimak, dan menulis. Dalam konteks modern, literasi tidak hanya mencakup kemampuan teknis ini tetapi juga kemampuan memahami, menafsirkan, dan menggunakan informasi dari berbagai sumber, termasuk media digital. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi tantangan dan peluang dalam meningkatkan literasi siswa di Sekolah Dasar.Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, angket, dan observasi dari kepala sekolah, guru, dan siswa di tiga sekolah dasar di Rembang. Sampel terdiri dari 38 siswa, dan teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan metode cluster random sampling. Analisis data dilakukan dengan mengkategorikan hasil tes literasi siswa ke dalam lima tingkat: sangat tinggi, tinggi, sedang, rendah, dan sangat rendah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas siswa berada dalam kategori rendah (45%) dan sedang (31,6%) dalam hal literasi membaca, dengan hanya sebagian kecil yang berada dalam kategori sangat tinggi (7,9%) dan tinggi (13,2%). Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar siswa memerlukan dukungan lebih lanjut untuk meningkatkan minat dan kemampuan membaca mereka. Kesimpulannya, peningkatan literasi di jenjang Sekolah Dasar memerlukan pendekatan yang komprehensif dan terstruktur. Strategi yang efektif, dukungan dari berbagai pemangku kepentingan, dan investasi dalam sumber daya pendidikan yang memadai diperlukan untuk mengatasi tantangan ini dan membangun fondasi literasi yang kuat bagi siswa, mempersiapkan mereka untuk sukses akademis dan kehidupan di masa depan.

Abstract

Abstract: The Kapuas Hulu Sub-watershed is a vital part of the Kapuas River ecosystem, facing the risk of soil erosion due to human activities and environmental factors This research seeks to.compare the results for erosion level analysis using the Universal Soil Loss Equation (USLE) and the Revised Universal Soil Loss Equation (RUSLE) methods.. The analysis is based on rainfall data, topography, soil type, and land cover, processed using Geographic Information Systems (GIS).In the USLE method, Bols erosivity is used as the basis for analy-sis. In the RUSLE method, surface runoff erosivity is calculated using runoff discharge from the Nakayasu Synthetic Unit Hydrograph (HSS Nakayasu) with a return period of Q100 and surface runoff volume using the SCS-CN method.Based on the analysis, USLE method produces a total erosion result of 87,865.414 ton/hectare/yr, while RUSLE method results in an erosion result of 55,558.402 ton/hectare/yr. This comparison shows that the erosion value estimated using RUSLE is approximately 0.6 times lower than that of USLE.The eroded land area in both methods is the same, at 579,955.035 hectares, indicating that the difference lies only in the estimated erosion rate, not in the distribution of the affected area. The USLE method yields a higher erosion value than the RUSLE method, suggesting that these two methods have different approaches in calculating the factors influencing erosion rates, with RUSLE generally providing lower estimated values

Abstract

The Landak sub-River Basin is part of the Kapuas River Basin which is drained by the Landak River with an area of approximately 7,921 km2. Flooding in the Landak sub-River Basin occurs every year with the number of cases tending to increase. Flooding in the Landak sub-River Basin inundates about 20 villages, which means that flood-prone areas dominate. The causes of flooding in the Landak sub-River Basin are very complex, basically caused by natural and non-natural factors. Specifically, there are many problems in the Landak sub-River Basin that are thought to trigger flooding such as land use change, decreasing catchment areas, blockages in small rivers, and so on. To identify strategic issues regarding flooding in the Landak sub-River Basin, a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) was conducted which was attended by several resource persons who were credible with the subject matter and an AHP analysis was conducted first to determine the priority scale of flood management in the Landak sub-River Basin. The result of determining the priority scale of flood management in the Landak sub-River Basin is the strengthening and implementation of regulations. The resulting strategic issues were subjected to a questionnaire that was assessed by the respondents involved during the FGD. The results obtained from this series of SWOT analyses are the formulation of strategies that are most suitable for the strategic issues of flooding in the Landak sub-River Basin using QSPM analysis, along with the determination of short-term, medium-term and long-term strategies using SFAS analysis.

Abstract

Global climate change is expected to cause an increase in the intensity and duration of extreme rainfall events that occur today. The leading cause of flooding in various world regions, including flat coastal areas such as the Serok River catchment in Kota Pontianak, influenced by tides, is excessive rainfall. This article presents the results of an analysis of the impact of extreme precipitation on the peak discharge of flood hydrographs in the Serok River catchment, Kota Pontianak.Maximum daily rainfall data for 2009-2020 recorded at PTK-11 Pontianak Station were selected using the Annual Maximum Series Method. Frequency analysis was conducted using the best distribution method selected from Normal, Log Normal, Log Pearson Type III, and Gumbel Type I to obtain the design rainfall. The design rainfall was transformed into flood hydrographs at the next stage using the Snyder Synthetic Unit Hydrograph based on several return periods.The results of the analysis show that there are changes in flood discharge in the Serok River catchment area for each return period. The location of land use and the value of rain intensity significantly affect the calculation of plan discharge; the more significant the land area and the higher the rain intensity, the greater the resulting release. The most considerable flood discharge (Qmax) in the 2, 5, and 10 years return occurs at STA 1 + 100, w.290 m3/s, 0.347 m3/s, and 0.377 m3/s, respectively. Thus, this causes periodic flooding/inundation conditions, especially in areas that have low elevations.

Abstract

Singkawang City is a coastal and hilly city. Flooding incidents have caused considerable material damage, displacement of people, and loss of lives. Floods in Singkawang occur almost yearly. In general, the floods in Singkawang are caused by natural factors, exceptionally high rainfall. Considering the significant impact of floods on the development of Singkawang City, it is necessary to establish flood vulnerability zoning based on rainfall in the city.An analysis is conducted on parameters that influence flood incidents, including the slope of the land, elevation, soil type, land cover, and hydrological analysis of rainfall data to create a flood vulnerability zoning map in Singkawang City. Then, an overlay is performed on the four parameters that affect floods, resulting in a map showing the distribution of inundation due to the maximum planned flood discharge (Q) generated from the hydrological analysis based on rainfall.The flood vulnerability map analysis results based on 4 data parameters that affect flood events obtained that the flood-safe area in Singkawang City covers an area of 14863.97 ha (27.04%). In contrast, areas not prone to floods cover 24571.74 ha (44.70%). Areas vulnerable to floods cover 11476.22 ha (20.87%), and regions highly vulnerable to floods cover 3567.28 ha (6.49%). Based on the results of hydrological analysis based on rainfall, it is obtained that the area of Singkawang City mostly experiences inundation due to the maximum planned flood discharge occurring at a 2-year interval in the Small Semelagi River Zone (353.5 ha), at a 5-year gap in the Small Semelagi River Zone (327.4 hectares), at a 10-year gap in the Selakau River Zone (401.4 ha), at a 20-year interval in the Selakau River Zone (473.1 ha), at a 50-year interval in the Selakau River Zone (545.9 ha), and at a 100-year gap in the Selakau River Zone (617.7 ha).

Abstract

The increase in population in the upper Kapuas Hulu River Basin will also increase the need for land. This increase in land demand can cause land use changes, affecting the runoff coefficient. Based on the reasons above, research was conducted to determine the effect of changes in land use on the magnitude of the runoff coefficient in the upstream part of the Kapuas River Basin from 2012 to 2017 and 2017 to 2022.The runoff coefficient calculation uses the U.S. Forest Service, Hassing, Kodoatie, and Syarief methods. Each method uses different parameters to determine the results. Data processing is carried out using a Geographic Information System (GIS).The analysis and calculations show that the runoff coefficient values obtained in the Upper Kapuas River Basin using the U.S. Forest Service method in 2012, 2017, and 2022 are 0,133, 0,136, and 0,145. The Hassing method results are 0,308, 0,309, and 0,312, and the Kodoatie and Syarief method results are 0,156, 0,167, and 0,173. This value shows that the Upper Kapuas River Basin is in reasonably good condition because the runoff coefficient value is far below 1.

Abstract

The community of Bonti Village relies on groundwater as the primary source of clean water since the local Regional Drinking Water Company (PDAM) ceased operations. However, the quality of the groundwater often raises health concerns, particularly in cases of diarrhea during the dry season. This study aims to design and evaluate the performance of a simple tray aerator as an alternative technology for groundwater treatment to meet the quality standards set by the Regulation of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia No. 2 of 2023 on Mandatory Drinking Water Quality Parameters. The design consists of four tray levels and one storage container, with a spacing of 0,4 m between trays and a container height of 0,3 m. Each tray measures 0,42 m in length and 0,30 m in width, equipped with 88 holes of 0,005 m diameter and a spacing of 0,03 m between holes. The total hole area was recorded at 0,001727 m ², with a surface loading rate of 6,6665 m ²/m ³/s and a detention time of 1,16 seconds. The filtration media used include charcoal (2 cm), shell sand (2 cm), gravel (1,5 cm), and coconut fiber (1,5 cm). The groundwater quality tests from three bore wells indicated a significant reduction in metal concentrations and improvements in both physical and chemical parameters, with all parameters meeting the required quality standards. Therefore, the simple tray aerator is proven to be effective as an appropriate technology solution for the provision of clean water in rural areas.

Abstract

This research analyzes the water availability of the Madi Irrigation Network through detailed assessments of evapotranspiration and discharge data from 2008 to 2019. The study reveals significant seasonal and inter-annual variations in evapotranspiration rates, which typically increase during warmer months and decrease in cooler periods. This fluctuation is closely linked to climatic conditions, influencing agricultural water demand. Monthly discharge data further illustrates these variations, showing high discharge rates in the rainy season (e.g., January and December) and lower rates during drier periods (e.g., August and September). The 80% dependable discharge rates reflect similar seasonal trends, with notable peaks and troughs correlating with rainfall patterns. These insights underscore the importance of adaptive water management strategies to optimize irrigation practices, manage water resources effectively, and address the impacts of climate variability. By understanding these patterns, water managers can better plan for periods of surplus and scarcity, enhancing agricultural productivity and sustainability.Keywords: Water Availability, Irrigation Madi, Irrigation Management, Water Management, Agricultural Water Demand.
