Abstract

Abstract

Wound healing in hyperglycemia patients is still a challenge in the medical field. Bioactive compounds of binahong leaf extract can support the wound healing process. Nanoencapsulation of the extract can avoid oxidation and optimize drug delivery to target tissues. This study aimed to analyze the effect of nanochitosan encapsulated binahong extract ointment (NEBE/Oint) on the percentage of wound healing, angiogenesis, collagen density, and epithelial thickness in hyperglycemic rats. This study used 80 mg/kg streptozotocin-induced hyperglycemia rats injured in the back area. Rats were divided into P0 (0,9% NaCl), P1 (10% povidone-iodine ointment (PI/Oint)), P2 (10% NEBE/Oint), P3 (20% NEBE/Oint), P4 (30% NEBE/Oint). Phytochemical screening of binahong leaves extract showed positive results for flavonoids, alkaloids, saponins, and tannins. NEBE particle size was 169 nm with a size distribution of 0.2 and a zeta potential value of -40,2 mV. The results showed NEBE ointment had a significant effect when compared with negative control on wound healing hyperglycemic rats. The conclusion is that nanochitosan drug delivery has the potential as an alternative wound treatment. The novelty of this study is the use of nanochitosan to accelerate wound healing in hyperglycemic rats. The results of this study are expected to become a reference for new wound-healing methods in the medical field.

Abstract

Poor water quality such as dissolved oxygen, pH, salinity, ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and water temperature that exceeds the normal optimum range can have a negative impact on physiological processes and organ structures such as the hepatopancreas in fish. Aeration and filtration in fish farming can improve water quality, which will then have an impact on improving hepatopancreatic function in red tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus). This research analyzes the use of aerators and internal filters to maintain water quality. This research uses a factorial design consisting of two treatment factors, namely aeration and filtration. Aeration treatment using single and double aerators, filtration using filters and without filters. The experimental animals used were 24 red tilapia fish. The results showed that the interaction between the aerator and filter had a significant effect (P<0.05) on the Hepatosomatic Index (HSI), hepatocyte diameter, pancreatic acinar diameter, and islet of Langerhans diameter. The conclusion of this research is that the combination of aerators and filters can maintain the physical and chemical quality of water so that it does not have a negative impact on the histological structure of the hepatopancreas.

Abstract

The saving work of Jesus Christ on the cross is a central pillar in Christian teaching, which affirms that human salvation can only be obtained through faith in Him.  This article aims to  to straighten out the understanding of both Christians and non-Christians about the existence of salvation other than Christ.   This is not new but has been around for a long time. This issue is increasingly packaged in such a way by pluralists who are actually the product of rationalism. This understanding popularizes inclusive safety is no longer exclusive. So the researcher can say that this understanding is not in accordance with the truth of the Bible and even contradicts the truth of God's words. The conclusion of this article is that salvation in Christ is exclusive and final, it cannot be changed by man, because exclusive salvation is a great gift for every believer. This research uses a qualitative approach with content analysis where it is firmly stated that there is no salvation outside of Jesus, because salvation is only in the name of Jesus Christ and it is final.

Abstract

The study investigates the potential of integrating radon gas concentration telemonitoring systems with machine learning techniques to enhance earthquake magnitude prediction. Conducted in Pacitan, East Java, Indonesia, where the stations are near the active Grindulu fault, the research employs random forest (RF), extreme gradient boosting (XGB), neural network (NN), AdaBoost (AB), and support vector machine (SVM) methods. The study aims to refine earthquake magnitude prediction, utilizing real-time radon gas concentration measurements, crucial for disaster preparedness. The evaluation involves multiple metrics like mean absolute error (MAE), mean absolute percentage error (MAPE), root mean square error (RMSE), mean squared error (MSE), symmetric mean absolute percentage error (SMAPE), and conformal normalized mean absolute percentage error (cnSMAPE). XGB and SVM emerge as top performers, showcasing superior predictive accuracy with minimal errors across various metrics. XGB achieved MAE (0.33), MAPE (6.03%), RMSE (0.51), MSE (0.26), SMAPE (0.06), and cnMAPE (0.97), while SVM recorded MAE (0.34), MAPE (6.20%), RMSE (0.51), MSE (0.26), SMAPE (0.06), and cnSMAPE (0.97). The analysis reveals XGB as the most effective method, boasting the lowest error values. The study underscores the importance of expanding data availability to enhance predictive models, ultimately contributing to more precise earthquake magnitude predictions and effective mitigation strategies.
