This research is motivated by the existence of peer conformity factors that have an impact on the learning motivation of foster children. Learning motivation is closely related to peer conformity, because adolescents are individuals who depend on groups. This study uses descriptive qualitative research that aims to describe the impact of peer conformity on the learning motivation of foster children at the Aisyiyah Maninjau Orphanage. Data collection in this study used interviews and observations. Interviews were conducted by asking questions directly to informants consisting of key informants, namely 1 caregiver and supporting informants, namely 6 foster children. The results of this study reveal that peer conformity can influence the learning motivation of foster children, with varying impacts depending on group dynamics and norms, so that it can produce positive or negative effects on learning motivation.

Abstract

Abstract

Flash floods in the Kuranji Watershed area, Kuranji District, Padang City, have had a significant impact on the agricultural system, aquatic environment, and socio-economic conditions of the community. This study aims to analyze the condition of the agricultural system and aquatic environment after the flash flood, identify internal and external factors, and formulate adaptation strategies based on a SWOT analysis. The study used a mixed methods approach with a survey method through observation, interviews, and questionnaires distributed to 100 respondents determined using the Slovin formula. Data analysis was carried out using the IFAS matrix, EFAS, and SWOT quadrants. The results showed that flash floods caused increased damage to agricultural land, disruption of irrigation systems, decreased agricultural productivity, high river sedimentation, and decreased quality of the aquatic environment. The main strengths include the availability of water resources and community experience in the agricultural sector, while the main weaknesses are high river sedimentation and damage to the irrigation system. Opportunities come from government support and watershed rehabilitation programs, while the main threats are high rainfall and recurring floods. The results of the SWOT analysis indicate that the strategy is positioned in Quadrant III (turnaround strategy). Recommended priority strategies include watershed rehabilitation, river normalization, sedimentation control, irrigation system improvement, and strengthening community capacity in disaster mitigation.

The sample in this study were 30 people. In taking samples, the authors use total sampling technique. Data was collected using a questionnaire instrument with a Likert scale type. Data analysis techniques used the normality test, linearity test, and hypothesis testing using a determination test, simple linear regression test and the F test (Simultaneous) with the help of SPSS version 20. The results of the study showed that the Fcount value was 10.598 with a sig value of 0.003. This shows that the Fcount value is greater than Ftable (10.598> 4.20) and the sig value is less than 0.003. Thus H_0 is rejected and H_1 is accepted, meaning that conformity has a significant effect on achieving self-identity. This type of quantitative research is correlational. The research population of West Pasaman Muhammadiyah Aliyah Madrasah Aliyah students who experienced broken home families was 20 students. The sampling technique is total sampling. Data collection techniques using self-concept and self-confidence instruments. Data analysis techniques used non-parametric analysis techniques and the correlation used the Spearman rho method with the help of SPSS version 26. Based on the results of the hypothesis testing, the results obtained were rcount 0.499 > rtable 0.443 that Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted. This means that there is a significant correlation between self-concept and the self-confidence of broken home children at Madrasah Aliyah Muhammadiyah Pasaman Barat. Interpreting the non-parameric correlation can be concluded that 0.499 lies (0.40-0.599), namely between variable X (self-concept) and variable Y (self-confidence). There is a correlation, which means it is moderately correlated. Based on the results of the study, it was concluded that the better (positive) the student's self-concept, the higher the student's self-confidence. and vice versa, the worse (negative) the student's self-concept, the lower the student's self-confidence.

The problem that occurs in students is the lack of self-discipline and honesty. The aim of the study was to see how much influence scout extracurriculars had in developing honest and disciplined characters in students at MTsN 1 Payakumbuh City. The quantitative research method is a regression type. The population in this study were 320 students of class VIII MTsN 1 Payakumbuh. The sample in this study were 70 people. In taking samples, the authors use random sampling technique. Random sampling technique is a sampling technique in which the population is randomized. Data was collected using a questionnaire instrument with a Likert scale type. Data analysis techniques used the normality test, linearity test, and hypothesis testing using the Wilcoxon test, correlation test using the Spearmen rho test with the help of the SPSS 25 application. There were 70 positive data (N) meaning there was an increase, the mean of rank was 35.50 while the sum of rank of 2485.00 is 0 so that it can be said that there is no equal value between X and Y1. From the explanation above it can be said that there is an honest increase, there are 70 positive data (N) meaning there is an increase, the mean of rank is 35.50 while the sum of rank is 2485.00 is 0 so it can be said that there are no equal values between. From the explanation above it can be said that there is an increase in discipline. the Wilcoxon test was carried out to find out the value obtained by a significance value of p-value of 0.000. Based on the applicable provisions, it is known that the results of the Wilcoxon Sig. p-value 0.000 <α (α =0.05) which means that Ha is accepted. Based on the results of the Wilcoxon test above, it can be concluded that Ha is accepted with the proposed hypothesis.
