Nutrition education in kindergarten children is an effort to increase awareness of healthy living behaviorin consumption of fruits and vegetables through Communication, Information, and Education (CIE). This studyaims to analyze the effect of nutritional education through the technique of singing and picture card games to theattitudes and nutritional behavior of kindergarten children. The design in this study was quasi-experimental, withpre-post test design with control group design. The subjects of this study were 68 students from 4 kindergartenschools in Tempilang Subdistrict, this study was conducted in January - March 2018. Nutrition education used wasa technique of singing, card game, and joint intervention. The results show that there are differences in nutritionalattitudes and behaviors in nutritional education. The combined intervention has the highest score on the attitudesand nutritional behavior of 7.38 ± 0.98 and 49.06 is significantly different from other intervention media. Therewas a change of good nutrition that increased after intervention (97,1%) from before intervention (95,6%) andchange of good nutrition behavior that increased after intervention (45,6%) before intervention (79,4%). Nutritioneducation through joint intervention provides a change in the improvement of nutritional attitudes and behaviorsin child kindergartens.

The study intends to describe the participation of farmers in the dryland crop based Land Conservation Index (LCI), describes the factors that affect the implementation of land conservation, and develop models to improve the participation of farmers in land conservation. Research carried out in Sub DAS upstream of Solo river. All of the food crop farmers from the Pundung villages totaling 68 family heads as respondents. The results of a study of farmers in conserving land at a moderate level. Model to improve the implementation of land conservation is increasing: land area, ownership ruminants, a family member who worked, and level of education, and empowerment to increase participation in land conservation in the parameter is still low, namely: planting plants to strengthen terracing, mulching or manure, planting annual crops on sloping land, crop rotation, and a sense of responsibility of farmers.

Kelompok Batik (tulis)“Mutiara 1" dan “Mutiara 2" adalah adalah kelompok usaha batik tulis yang masing-masing beranggotakan 10 orang wanita tani yang baru bebas dari buta huruf (tindak lanjut dari program pasca keaksaraan fungsional/buta huruf). Kelompok ini berlokasi di Desa Wonolopo Kecamatan Tirtomoyo sudah terbentuk mulai Tahun 2011. Usaha batik tulis yang dikelola selama ini belum dikembangkan potensinya sebagai produk sandang yang kompetetitif dan bernilai ekonomis dengan mengikuti kaidah Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's), seperti penggunaan berbagai alat teknologi tepat guna untuk membatiksehingga selama ini kelompok hanya menjual dalam bentuk batik mentah dengan harga yang relatif murah yaitu berkisar antara Rp 75.000,- sampai Rp 80.000,-, sementara harga batik yang sudah di finishing seharga Rp 250.000 sampai Rp 300.000,-. Perlu pendampingan kelompok tersebut agar pendapatan meningkat. Kegiatan pendampinganyang telah dilakukan adalah pelatihan finishing batik tulis, introduksi alat finishing batik, pameran (expo), dan pendampingan yang dilakukan dengan beberapa teknik pendekatan.

This study aims to examine the attitude of rice farmers toward innovation of rice transplanter machine, the forming factors of farmers attitude, and the influence of factors that forms the attitudes with rice farmer's attitude towards rice transplanter machine. The location of study was determined intentionally in Subdistrict of Juwiring because the Subdistrict of Juwiring is one of the areas that received the highest rice transplanter machine compared to other subdistricts in Klaten Regency. The sampling method was Multistage cluster random sampling of 40 rice farmers. To determine the attitude and the forming factors of attitude used descriptive analysis. The Influence of the factors forming the attitude with the attitude of farmers toward rice transplanter machine was analyzed use multiple linear regression. The results showed that the attitude of the majority of farmers towards rice transplanter machine is doubtful. While the forming factors of attitudes, personal experience: the old farm classified as moderate; the influence of others classified moderate, formal education is classified moderate (secondary education), non-formal education clasified low, mass media classified very low, socialitistic classified moderate, wetland area classified moderate, and the nature of innovation classified moderate. There was a significant influence between personal experience, the influence of others, formal education, wetland area, nature of innovation and there was non-significant influence between non-formal education, mass media, socialistic with rice farmer's attitude towards rice transplanter machine.

Farmers’participation is importantly studied to improve farmers’involvement of agricultural program. Objectives of this research were 1) to study about level of farmers’ participation of modern agricultural cluster program, 2) to study about factors which affected farmers’ participation, 3) to study about correlation between factors which affected the participation and level of farmers’participation. This research used quantitative method with technique of survey. The location that was chosen in Tawangsari district. The population of this research was farmers which were incorporated a combined farmers’ group, Tani Mandiri. This research used technique of proportional random sampling and the respondents were taken sixty farmers from each farmers’ group. The data on this research was shown with likert scale and testing the correlation used analysis of rank spearman. The result showed 1) farmers’ participation was included in high category. Planning, monitoring and evaluation and utilization of the result that included in high category, whereas for the implementation included in low category 2) the factors which consisted of education level and group communication’s behavior included in the lowest category. Number of family, cosmopolitan nature, time allocation, intensity of following the program socialization included in low category. Experience of farming business included in high category 3) the correlation test showed the factors which significantly related to farmers’ participation were education level, cosmopolitan nature, group communication’s behavior, and intensity of following the program socialization. The related factors which were not significant with farmers’participation were number of family, experience of farming business, and time allocation.

The motivation of farmer is a farmers is a farmer’s encouragement to achieve the desired goals. This study aims to analyze : (1) the motivation of farmers in participating in the refugia planting program in Mojolaban District, Sukoharjo regency (2) factors that influence the motivation of farmers in participating in the refugia planting program Mojolaban Sukoharjo regency (3) the relationship between the factors that influence the motivation of farmers with the motivation of farmers in participating in the refugia planting program in Mojolaban District, Sukoharjo Regency. The basic method of research is quantitative with survey techniques. Determination of the location is deliberately determined, namely the region that runs a refugia planting program in eight villages including Sapen villagr, Joho village dan Palur village. Data analysis using Spearman Rank Correlation Test with the IBM SPSS 23 Program. The result showed that : (1) farmers had high motivation in participating in the refugia planting program (2) the majority of farmers are lowly educated and have a low amount of dependence, the old work of farmers including high, farmers have a social environment and a high economic environment (3) There is a very significant relationship between education, income, and dependents with the motivation of farmers, but there is no significant relationship between work, social environtmen with the motivation of farmers in participating in the refugia planting program in Mojolaban District, Sukoharjo Regency.

Natural disaster, landslide and floods, progressively often happened in various indonesian regions when the rains season. Denudation of forest, effect of deforestation process, affect at energy support of nature derivation and declining the quality of ecology, have generated disaster to human life. Ruining of forest have become common phenomenon us chronic social pathology form in Indonesian societes. It is needed an effort to alter situation in this lime (recent status), that is ruining of forest on a large scale, becoming situation which is normative/expected/desirab/e status, that is everlastingly forest development. Development communications play as bridging the gap lo link between various side which have competence and have komitment to forest existence.

This study aims to analyze: (1) How is the ability of farmers in conducting freshwater fish farming in Polanharjo District, Klaten Regency. (2) how the level of ability of farmers in conducting freshwater fish farming. The basic method of research is quantitative and qualitative with survey techniques. The research location was determined intentionally, which included Nganjat Village and Janti Village. Sampling using rondom proportional sampling technique consisted of 60 respondents of freshwater fish farmers. The results showed that: (1) the technical abilities of farmers in the medium category, managerial skills included in the medium category, and the social abilities of farmers in the medium category. (2) the level of achievement of the ability of farmers in conducting freshwater fish farming percentage of achievement 64.56%

Perkembangan pesat dunia digital memberikan tantangan bagi penyuluh dalam mencari, mengakses, dan memanfaatkan informasi. Penyuluh pertanian dituntut terampil dalam menggunakan perangkat digital untuk melakukan pencarian Informasi dalam memenuhi kebutuhan Informasi petani. Literasi digital menjadi kunci keberhasilan penyuluh dalam menyampaikan Informasi kepada petani. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh faktor-faktor pembentuk perilaku pencarian Informasi terhadap perilaku pencarian Informasi berbasis digital oleh penyuluh pertanian. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif dengan analisis data menggunakan regresi linier berganda. Teknik penentuan sampel yang digunakan adalah non-probability sampling dengan jenis accidental sampling. Penelitian ini mengambil sampel 155 responden yang merupakan penyuluh pertanian anggota PERHIPTANI di wilayah Provinsi Jawa Tengah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan literasi digital, tingkat pendidikan formal, dan pengalaman kerja memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan, sedangkan usia dan tingkat penggunaan media tidak memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap perilaku pencarian informasi berbasis digital oleh penyuluh pertanian.

Agriculture development program is so difficult to reach small farmers. Economic indicators, agricultural infrastructures, and goverment policy often cause small farmers to economical and social marginalized. Farmer less possession in land, marginal rate of return in agriculture sector, agriculture policy which nonalignment to farmer make more difficult to increase their inncome. On the other side, farmer’s institutions which are expected be able to strengthen the farmer position to face the existing problems not effectively yet.The purpose oh this research in to identify the determinant factors in capacity buliding of farmer’s institution and to formulate an appropriate strategy of extention program. This research was conducted at three district in Center Java Province, they were: Klaten, Grobogan, and Karanganyar. Data collected through interview of 405 respondents whose member of farmer’s institution, 48 local leaders, and informans. The result shows that member’s participation in farmer’s institution represent their collective awareness caused easier to manage their farm. The level of member’s participation in farmer’s institution was influenced by their capacities level, internal and external factors of farmer, e.i: (a) social and economical status of farmer, (b) needs of farmer, (c) learning experience of farmer, (d) local leadership, (e) outsider role, and (f) the quality of extention. Quality of agricultural extension, directly and indirectly, influence to farmer capacities. It increase their participation in farmer’s institution and push their institution effectiveness.
