Abstract

The agricultural sector is the majority livelihood sector owned by the Indonesian population. Over time, Indonesia's agricultural development has been increasingly developed, this is evidenced by BPS data regarding the percentage of agricultural informal workers which increased in 2019 - 2021. The agricultural sector in Indonesia is currently experiencing the phenomenon of aging farmers, where there is a scarcity of youth who focus on working or working directly in the agricultural sector. The purpose of this study was to determine the bivariate relationship between age, education level, gender, and family history of farmers with youth interest in entrepreneurship in the agricultural sector. This research will be carried out in July-September 2023 in Wonogiri District, Wonogiri Regency. The research method used in this study is a quantitative research method using survey research techniques. The sample selection in this study used quota sampling and snowball sampling, with a research sample of 70 respondents, obtained by the Lameshow formula. The data analysis method in this study uses kai squared analysis, using SPSS 27. The results of this study are age, education level, and gender are not related to variables of interest in agricultural entrepreneurship, while farmer family history is related to youth interest in agricultural entrepreneurship.

Abstract

ABSTRACTStudy This aim to analyze implementation promotion health in Prevent Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) by use inner lemongrass leaves bathtub. DHF is a disease caused by the dengue virus which is transmitted by the Aedes aegypti mosquito. In Indonesia, dengue fever cases continue increases, with amount fluctuating cases and deaths every year. So that effort Dengue prevention is very important for done. Study This carried out in the District Tambaksari, Surabaya, which is one area endemic dengue fever. Research methods used is studies case with collect data via observation field, interview with various party related health, and data analysis using interactive models. Research result show that Lemongrass plants (Cymbopogon nardus) contain oil essentials, esp citronnelal, which has characteristic larvicide to Aedes aegypti mosquito. Lemongrass can be used done with a number of way, like use lemongrass powder as larvicide and spraying lemongrass spray as a repellent. Study This conclude that use lemongrass leaves as part from promotion health can effective in prevent spread of dengue fever. Steps like use lemongrass as larvicide and repellent can help reduce population Aedes aegypti mosquitoes and reduce risk affected by dengue fever. With Thus, implementation promotion health through you can use lemongrass be an effective strategy in control dengue fever.

Abstract

Tuberculosis (TB) remains a significant global health challenge, especially for children. The aim of this scoping review was to investigate the role of mothers in preventing childhood TB transmission and highlight effective strategies and associated barriers. A systematic literature search was conducted using PubMed, Web of Science, and Scopus, covering articles up to January 17, 2024. The search included keywords like “mother,” “parents,” “care,” “prevention,” and “tuberculosis.” Eligibility criteria included peer-reviewed articles on maternal health interventions for TB prevention in children and published in English. The study selection process involved screening titles and abstracts, followed by full-text reviews by Rayyan Artificial Intelligence (AI). Eighteen studies were analyzed, revealing the crucial roles of mothers and healthcare workers in TB prevention. The results indicated that in South Africa, only 47% of eligible pregnant women underwent Mantoux testing, with lower rates in rural areas. The isoniazid preventive therapy (IPT) uptake rate was 79%, with geographical variations. Barriers included insufficient patient information, inadequate screening facilities, and healthcare providers' knowledge gaps. Parental involvement, particularly by mothers, is vital for adherence to TB preventive measures. Challenges in integrating TB case-finding with antenatal care and prevention of mother-to-child transmission (PMTCT) services included inconsistent screening and healthcare worker shortages. Enhancing health services, reducing stigma, and integrating TB prevention into existing programs are essential. In conclusion, this review underscores that effective childhood TB prevention requires a coordinated approach that incorporates the efforts of the mother and healthcare worker. Addressing barriers such as contact tracing gaps and diagnostic delays, alongside enhancing maternal health education and support, is essential for improving TB prevention and management. Targeted interventions and collaborative efforts are needed to reduce transmission and improve health outcomes, particularly in bridging rural-urban disparities.

Abstract

Millennial farmers become superior and competitive human resources as determinants of the progress of agricultural development. Millennial farmers must be adaptive to digitalization technology and innovation and environmentally friendly cultivation techniques to face agricultural development, including climate change challenges. Climate-smart agriculture (CSA) behavior is the strategic effort of millennial farmers as an approach to dealing with the impacts of climate change on the agricultural sector, as well as efforts by the agricultural industry to reduce its impact on climate change through efficient management of crops, land and soil, and water. The management is based on three pillars of CSA: 1) Increasing agricultural productivity and income, 2) Improving adaptation and resilience to climate change, and 3) Reducing greenhouse gas emissions. This study aims to analyze CSA implementation behavior based on the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) by examining the direct and indirect effects of attitude variables, subjective norms, perceived behavioral control, and intentions. These variables are measured by integrating TPB with the CSA context. The research sample was 198 respondents of Millennial Farmer Ambassadors and Andalan Farmer Ambassadors in West Java Province, conducted in 2023. This research uses a quantitative approach with the Structural Equation Model-Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) method to analyze complex models with many variables—data collection techniques using questionnaire instruments that have been valid and reliable. The results showed that attitude, perceived behavioral control, and intention significantly influence behavior both directly and indirectly through intention (p-value < α 0.05). Meanwhile, subjective norms do not substantially affect behavior directly or indirectly through intention (p-value > α 0.05). So, it is necessary to develop interventions that strengthen the formation of positive intentions and the need for practical support for subjective norms related to CSA implementation behavior in millennial farmers.

Abstract

Introduction: Being overweight due to lifestyle and dietary habits may lead to non-communicable diseases such as heart disease, stroke, and diabetes in the future. Generation Z is the generation born in 1995-2010. Use of shallots has antiobesity effects because it can reduce body fat and body weight Methods: The poultry eggs used in the acceptability of shredded are chicken eggs and this study was conducted by 25 moderately trained panelists with hedonic quality test. Data processing using Kruskall Wallis test to determine the real difference of ebelabon (egg shredded level delicious) with the addition of roasted onions 0%, 5%, 10% and 15% of the total poultry egg shredded served, shredded Data processing and analysis using SPSS software and presented in the form of tables, graphs, and narrative text. Results: The results showed that there was no significant difference in the acceptability of shredded poultry eggs. Based on the results of statistical analysis of four parameters on moderately trained panelists that the most preferred taste and overall were in formula 4, namely the addition of roasted onions 15% of the total shredded poultry eggs. Conclusion: As for the selected formula, formula 4 will be further tested by testing the content of macronutrients such as calories (energy), protein, fat and carbohydrates and carried out interventions for overweight students or generation Z who are currently studying.
