Abstract

ABSTRACTThe role of learning media becomes very important in the period of distance learning to connect educators with learners. Therefore, the selection and use of learning media when Learning from Home (BDR) takes place will have an impact on the learning process that occurs. One of the practical and easy to use multimedia for BDR is Digital Storytelling. This article will present the results of research that produces digital storytelling of physics (DiSPhy) learning media that is equipped with science literacy and STEM projects. This research was conducted by the Research & Development (R&D) method which refers to the ASSURE steps. The resulting DiSPhy is tested directly to educators and learners using likert-scale questionnaire instruments. This research succeeded in producing digital learning media products in the form of DiSPhy equipped with decent science literacy as a medium of distance learning physics. Keywords: digital storytelling of physics, science literacy, learning from homeABSTRAK Peran media pembelajaran menjadi sangat penting pada masa pembelajaran jarak jauh untuk menghubungkan pendidik dengan peserta didik. Abstract

This research aims to produce a virtual laboratory that can be used in teaching physics about thermal expansion. This research uses Design Development Research (DDR) with the ADDIE development model. The development results produce virtual laboratory characteristics consisting of two experiments, three independent and control variables, namely the type of material and length of the cylindrical rod, and changes in temperature, as well as the dependent variable, namely temperature. change in cylinder rod length. Data collection is carried out by asking for validator responses to the virtual laboratory that has been developed. The validators consist of five physics lecturers who are experts in learning media and physics concepts. Validation data is processed using the average percentage of expert responses. The virtual laboratory aspect of thermal expansion validation results in quality, appearance and interactivity was 96%, 93% and 92.5% with very valid criteria. The validation results for all aspects conclude that the virtual laboratory on thermal expansion is very valid with a value of 93.8% and can be used for physics learning. Keywords: virtual laboratory, thermal expansion, physics learning

Abstract

This study aims to develop Augmented Reality Integration Hydrometereology (TARIH) technology as a learning media solution for disaster management from an early warning to the effects of land subsidence. The research method used in this study is the Model ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate). The chosen subjects of the current study were 69 physics teacher candidates aged 21-23 years at a university in Jakarta and Banten, Indonesia. Based on reliability tests obtained in this line of research, the findings disclosed that the response to the application of TARIH as media in hydrometereology learning, the reliability of the System Quality aspect was 0.69 and the mean was 4.43. Most importantly, the reliability of the information quality aspect was 0.43 and the mean was 4.39 and the reliability of the service quality aspect was 0.74 and the mean was 4.45. Based on results obtained in this line of research, the study indicated that TARIH media can be used as a learning media solution in Disaster Management from an early warning. Keywords: technology augmented reality integration hydrometeorology (TARIH), learning media, disaster learning media, physics teacher candidate.

Abstract

Scientific argumentation plays a crucial role in fostering higher-order thinking and scientific literacy in science education. However, studies have shown that Indonesian students’ scientific argumentation skills remain low, while existing science textbooks generally reach only level 2 of argumentation quality. Consequently, these materials are not yet effective in facilitating the development of students’ argumentation competence. Furthermore, the topic of the Earth and the Solar System continues to generate misconceptions among students, highlighting the need for learning materials that integrate structured argumentation activities. This study, therefore, aims to develop science teaching materials based on scientific argumentation activities for the topic of the Earth and the Solar System. The research employed the Fuzzy Delphi Method, encompassing five key stages: (1) determining the model of scientific argumentation construction for developing argumentative texts, (2) defining learning indicators for material development, (3) designing teaching materials based on expert-validated indicators, (4) assessing the readability of the materials, and (5) validating the developed materials. The findings indicate that the resulting teaching materials are valid and appropriate for students’ cognitive levels. The materials were structured using a scientifically validated argumentation model and learning indicators categorized into cognitive levels of remembering, understanding, analyzing, and creating across five subtopics. Readability analysis using the Fry graph confirmed suitability for the target age group, while expert validation demonstrated high content and construct validity. These results suggest that the developed materials effectively support the integration of scientific argumentation in science learning, particularly on Earth and Solar System concepts. Keywords: scientific argumentation, teaching materials, earth and solar system, fuzzy delphi method.

Abstract

This research aims to identify the conception of Central Javanese students on fluid pressure. The survey was conducted in Central Java involving 515 participants (eight grade students about 14 years old) consisting of 177 males and 338 females. The instrument consists of six questions in a four-tier format about fluid pressure and is distributed via Microsoft Form. The analysis was carried out with Rasch analysis and percentages with six categories of conceptions: CU (Conceptual Understanding); PP (Partial Plus); PM (Partial Minus); NU (No Understanding); MC (Misconception); and NC (No Coding). The Rasch analysis shows the Cronbach alpha is 0.68 (Enough) and the distribution of students' conceptions of fluid pressure forms a normal curve. Meanwhile, bias was not found for gender problems in answering the questions. The percentage of the result are: CU (17%), PP (4%), PM (39%), NU (13%), MC (27%), and NC (0%). This indicates that students' conceptions are still dominated by PM and MC categories. Students in the PM category have good characteristics but lack self-confidence. While the MC category is an unexpected result because students are confident in their answers that are wrong or not in accordance with scientific conceptions. Thus, further action is needed to overcome students' misconceptions. Keywords: Students' Conceptions, Fluid Pressure, Rasch Analysis
