Abstract

The focus and concern of researchers on the theme of bioethics and its relationship with science learning is highly expected, as evidenced by publications in reputable journals. The purpose of this systematic literature review (SLR) was to review and compare investigations of researches on article published by scopus indexed journals. We used the phrase "bioethics+learning+science" in the search menu of the scopus database, and found 138 articles. Furthermore, 15 articles met the criteria to be analyzed. The inclusion and exclusion model used is PRISMA. The publication of "bioethics" in the scopus database is likely to increase in 2012. Although in 2013-2022 there were fluctuations. This theme can be approached through qualitative or quantitative and even mix-method. Almost all types of populations/samples have been used as subjects, showing that this theme is broad in dimension and involves all parties. Leonora Kaldaras is the most dominant researcher in reference. Bioethics specs are related to artificial intelligence. The keyword artificial intelligence is related to student, teaching, engineering education, computer science education, education computing, and education. Interesting things on the theme of artificial intelligence related to learning systems and computer aided instruction. The theme of "bioethics" is the focus of researchers from all continents and is generally written in groups. There are four institutions in the world that fund research and publications on bioethics, while the others are not mentioned. Most publications have fulfilled one of the ethics in publication, which is to clearly mention the name of the institution / institution that funds their research and publication. We formulate and discuss all aspects of the trend. The alignment of researchers continues to increase regarding "bioethics", which can be seen based on distribution year, research types / methods, instruments, aspects of study, author, keywords, author's internationality, and collaboration. This information or findings gives us new insights to think clearly about research and the relationship between bioethics, science learning and artificial intelligence.

Abstract

Augmented Reality (AR) has seen extensive utilization in the modern era, driven by rapid technological advancements. The aim of the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method is to meticulously analyze and assess previous research on a specific phenomenon in a systematic and explicit manner. The search was conducted on the Scopus database using the keyword "Augmented Reality," resulting in 209 relevant articles. Out of this total, 35 articles passed the journal selection criteria and were deemed ready for analysis. The article selection process was carried out using the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analysis (PRISMA) model for inclusion and exclusion purposes. Since 2019, there has been a rising trend in research on augmented reality. The issue of AR can be approached through quantitative, qualitative, mixed-methods, and even development research (R&D). The most prominent author in AR research is NF Saidin. The data shows that the keyword "augmented reality" is strongly associated with "education" and "biology." These keywords are linked to concepts such as teacher training, augmented reality tools, teaching, biology learning, learning performance, e-learning, and virtual reality. Themes related to AR in education focus on teacher training in biology, which applies e-learning or mobile learning based on AR and virtual reality (VR). Abstract

This study analyzes the efforts by universities to promote sustainability competence over the last few decades and it is anticipated that it will make a valuable contribution to the advancement of literacy studies about education for sustainable development (ESD). This study employed a systematic literature review (SLR) method adapted from the PRISMA model. Qualitative data collection techniques were employed, followed by thematic analysis for data interpretation. This SLR obtained several interesting findings. It was found that the theme of SC was first collected in the Scopus database in 2009, and the increasing SC-higher education occurred during and post-COVID-19 pandemic, namely from 2020 to 2023. Various efforts have been made by universities around the world to promote SC. Their focus is on strengthening SC to realize the ESD and achieve SDGs through strengthening active learning, strengthening students and teachers, and reformulating and adapting the curriculum. It was also found that the author's country of origin is still dominated by countries in the European region, namely Spain, Sweden, and England. This fact is also supported by the concern of funding sponsors from Europe in funding research and publications regarding sustainability competencies. Therefore, this theme needs to campaign widely on other continents, especially Asia, Africa, Oceania, and America because its role and position are also important for sustainability.

Abstract

Berbagai respon positif disampaikan peserta didik terkait pembelajaran daring.

Abstract

Spirituality-based environmental literacy (SEL) influences ecological knowledge, environmental expectations, cognitive abilities, and environmental-related behavior. In this regard, this research aims to determine SEL among prospective biology teacher throughout Indonesia. This study included a cross-sectional survey. The target respondents are students of education study programs in the field of biology who come from various institutions in Indonesia. Gender aspects, study program accreditation status, and semester-level are positioned as respondent characteristics whose impact on environmental literacy is analyzed. The sample size is 632 students. The data collection instrument used was the ELIS. The data collection process is carried out online. Data was analyzed using SPSS. We discuss the results of different tests based on gender, different tests based on accreditation, and different tests based on semester-level. This research provides unique results. Women have higher levels of SEL than men. There are significant differences between men and women in terms of environmental literacy, although references do not always support this. Accreditation status does not support differences in SEL levels. Furthermore, the semester-level (final semester) has a higher SEL, but that is only in the knowledge aspect. On that basis, we suggest several aspects to consider in future research.

Abstract

As a form of implementing Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) in educational institutions, an appropriate learning model is needed, which also accommodates aspects of spirituality. Before developing a model, baseline data is needed, so a broad-scale or national needs analysis is needed. This research aims to determine the profile of spirituality-based action competence for sustainability (ACS) among prospective biology teacher students throughout Indonesia. This research is a cross-sectional survey. The target respondents are students of LPTK biology education study programs in Indonesia. The target population size is 650 people, so based on the Krejcie and Morgan table, the minimum sample size with a confidence level of 95% and a margin of error of 5% is 620 students. The data collection instrument used in this research is the action competence for sustainability instrument based on spirituality (ACSIS). Data on respondent characteristics were analyzed using frequencies and percentages. The mean and standard deviation of scores were calculated for each item. Comparisons of two groups of students were analyzed using the Mann-Whitney U Test, while comparisons of more than two groups used the Kruskal-Wallis H Test. We discuss interesting findings in this research, including the aspects of spirituality in ACS among prospective biology teacher in Indonesia.

Abstract

Given the world's continuous environmental concerns, there is a need for increased participation in nature protection. The ecological crisis of the last decade on Earth has become one of the causes of the rupture of society's relationship with nature. Such relationships can predict diverse attitudes, concerns, intentions, and pro-environmental behavior (PEB). A systematic literature review (SLR) aims to compare, study, and analyze journal articles that relate to issues related to nature as a major factor in pro-environmental behavior. The results of selecting articles indexed by SCOPUS found as many as 1716 publications. The 50 open-access publications of articles were chosen based on specific criteria and further examined to identify eight final articles that align with the Inclusion of Nature in Self (INS) scale. Pro-environmental behavior strengthens human relationships with nature and encourages a sense of ownership and involvement with the environment. Pro-environmental behavior refers to behaviors that are beneficial to the environment, such as supporting conservation policies, recycling, and participating in nature. Research using INS scale, which focuses on connections with nature, still has significant potential and should persist in making contributions to science and humanity.

Abstract

Theoretical framework is one of the main parts of the research paper, so that researchers are expected to be able to determine the relevant theory that underlies their research. The purpose of conducting this systematic literature review (SLR) is to review of theoretical framework, compare, and describe various theoretical research frameworks in an investigative manner on the theme of self-efficacy in collaborative science learning that underlies publications in Scopus indexed journals in the last ten years. In this regard, we used the phrase "self-efficacy in collaborative science learning" on the disbursement menu in the Scopus database and found 711 articles. There were 63 articles that met the criteria for analysis. The inclusion and exclusion model used is PRISMA. The newly discovered aspects consist of community of practice, professional learning community, and reflection, which are as a result of the development of a theory of change and a theory of instruction constructed from theoretical frameworks in the recent collaborative science learning practices literature. Therefore, the development of this theory can be considered as a theoretical basis for developing the self-efficacy of prospective science teachers in collaborative learning in the future.
