Abstract

The PBL (Problem-based Learning) model based on the STEM approach is very suitable for raising students in the midst of today's increasingly rapid development of the digital era which is based on a problem that encourages students to learn and work cooperatively in groups to find solutions, think critically and analytically, and able to use appropriate learning resources. This study aims to determine the effect of the PBL learning model based on the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) approach to students' cognitive learning outcomes at MTs Muhammadiyah 1 Malang. Sampling with purposive sampling technique. This type of research is a Quasy experiment with a Non-Randomized Control Group Pretest-Postest Design research design. The population in this study were students of class VII MTs Muhammadiyah 1 Malang which consisted of 2 classes. The data analysis technique for cognitive learning outcomes of students uses the data requirements test with the SPSS version 22.0 for Windows program. The collection of research data used an instrument in the form of multiple-choice tests for students' cognitive learning outcomes. Based on the results of hypothesis testing using the ANCOVA test, a sig value of 0.005<0.05 is obtained because the sig value is smaller than 0.05, so it can be said that Ho is accepted which shows that the STEM-based PBL model has a significant influence on students' cognitive learning outcomes. Based on the data obtained, it can be concluded that there is a significant influence in the use of the PBL model based on the STEM approach to students' cognitive learning outcomes at MTs Muhammadiyah 1 Malang.

Abstract

Environmental issues and accompanying problems need to be discussed. However, there has been no systematic literature review (SLR) that focuses on environmental topics. This SLR aims to publish trends in environmental topics in biology education journals in Indonesia, focused on JPBI, Biosfer JPB, and Bioedukatika. The three journals that are the object of this study have shown that they are pro-environmental. As for the three, JPBI can be considered as a journal that consistently publishes environmental themes, because this journal publishes the most articles on environmental themes. From the three journals, it can be seen that there are types of research that are dominantly used in environmental theme research, namely descriptive surveys, quasi-experiments and descriptive qualitative ones. In publications at JPBI, the topic of the environment is inseparable from education and the main subject of education is students. Environment is related to environmental education and environmental literacy. Meanwhile in the JPB Biosphere, environmental topics are also related to the themes of online learning or Blended/hybrid learning. On the other hand, in Bioedukatika the environmental theme is inseparable from the learning aspect. Based on the data, it can be seen that the main contribution of the three journals that are the object of this research is that teachers/lecturers are important actors in developing various abilities or skills of students/students in terms of the environment. Teachers are advised to apply various appropriate learning, which is oriented towards student active/student centered learning, by implementing the suggested learning models. One aspect that needs to be strengthened is the Adiwiyata Program which is the embodiment of green school-style schools in Indonesia. Exploration of local wisdom in various regions in Indonesia related to environmental wisdom is also still needed because it is positive for environmental strengthening.

Abstract

Science teachers are the main actors in developing students’ action competence for sustainability (ACS) in the future. Considering that the majority of teachers and prospective science teachers have a spiritual foundation, the spiritual aspect should be an integral part of the ACS. Therefore, an instrument is needed that can measure the level of ACS that includes aspects of spirituality in it. This study was designed to develop and validate an instrument for prospective science teacher in in the form of action competence for sustainability instrument base on spirituality (ACSIS). The instrument was developed based on previous research findings and focus group discussions involving eleven experts. The factors and internal consistency were examined by involving 634 prospective science teachers in Indonesia. Validity and reliability were tested using exploratory factor analysis (EFA) and confirmatory factor analysis (CFA). This study’s results showed 21 questionnaire items (four dimensions) with acceptable internal validity and consistency. The ACSIS is recommended to measure the level of ACS for prospective science teachers, specifically in Indonesia, and countries that have the same characteristics of educational problems and potential.

Penggunaan media teknologi wajib digunakan untuk memperluas pengetahuan peserta didik dan memudahkan dalam pemahaman konsep yang ingin ditanamkan oleh guru. Macam media yang diiringi berbagai ragam cara dalam menyampaikan pembelajaran dan mudah digunakan, memberikan kesempatan kepada pendidik untuk menyampaikan materi. Abstract

Indonesia mengalami lonjakan dalam bidang pariwisata, baik yang wisata umum ataupun ekowisata. Pariwisata telah menjadi industri yang berkembang pesat dan sumber pendapatan utama bagi banyak negara (Kia, 2021). Sektor pariwisata merupakan pendorong signifikan pertumbuhan ekonomi dalam skala lokal maupun nasional di Indonesia (ILO, 2022). Sebagaimana data yang dilansir Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS), jumlah wisatawan asing yang memilih destinasi wisata di Indonesia mencapai 678.500 orang pada Oktober 2022. Jika dipersentasekan, maka jumlah ini meningkat 364,31 persen dibandingkan Oktober 2021 yang mencapai 146.100 wisatawan (Sutari, 2022). Pesatnya pertumbuhan industri pariwisata Indonesia, menjadi hal yang sangat baik. Pertumbuhan itu tidak hanya soal jumlah wisatawan yang datang ke Tanah Air (atau wisatawan lokal yang melakukan aktivitas wisata), tapi juga soal investasi. Pemerintah Indonesia sudah membuktikan keseriusan mereka dalam mengembangkan destinasi wisatanya. Penataan yang jernih berpadu dengan keindahan Indonesia sendiri merupakan gudang untuk mendapatkan investasi yang lebih besar untuk sektor pariwisata (BKPM, 2022). Namun, di balik komitmen dan perhatian besar dalam bidang pariwisata itu, terdapat satu masalah serius yang dihadapi, yaitu masalah sampah.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the implementation of CBE principles in the ecotourism management. This quantitative study investigates the relationship between independent variables and the implementation of CBE principles. This research was conducted in three ecotourism areas: Coban Rondo, Coban Talun, and Paralayang. Visitors of those three ecotourism were used as the samples of this study (±375 visitors). The data would be analyzed using multiple regression to determine the relationship between several variables to the implementation of CBE principles. A Two-Way ANOVA had been used to see whether variables had a significant influence on CBE. According to the results of multiple regression analysis, only Coban Rondo shows a significant relationship. The findings of analysis show a significant influence, which is only shown by the varied motives for traveling to Coban Talun and Paralayang. The distinction in BNT notation arises exclusively in Paralayang, whereas no notational difference appears in Coban Talun.
