Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peningkatan keterampilan kolaborasi peserta didik melalui penerapan pendekatan berdiferensiasi yang dilakukan pada kelas V UPT SPF SDI BTN IKIP II Kota Makassar. Penelitian ini dilakukan di kelas V UPT SPF SDI BTN IKIP II Kota Makassar PADA 22 SISWA. Teknik pengumpulan data yang gunakan adalah metode observasi dan dokumentasi. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas ( PTK). Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keterampilan kolaborasi peserta didik pada siklus 1 pertemuan I berada pada kriteria cukup, pada pertemuan II berada pada kriteria sedang. Pada siklus II, keterampilan kolaborasi peserta didik pada pertemuan 1 berada pada kriteria baik sedangkan pertemuan 2 berada pada kriteria sangat baik.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the implementation of school discipline in improving the discipline of grade V students at SD Negeri Samata. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive type of research. The subjects of this study are the principal, class teacher, and 5 students of SD Negeri Samata. Data collection was carried out by observation, interview, and documentation methods. The techniques used in data analysis are data reduction, data presentation and conclusion making. In this study, the implementation of school discipline in improving student discipline is (a) students come and leave school on time, (b) students do not leave class/skip school, (c) students complete assignments according to the set time, (d) students obey/do not violate applicable regulations, (e) students are not lazy in learning, (f) students do not tell others to do their assignments, (g) students do not cheat, (h) students do not make a noise in class during class hours, (i) students do not disturb others who are studying. In this study, it can be seen that: (1) the school has implemented strict policies to ensure student discipline in terms of time, (2) the school has a strict policy against truancy, with sanctions that vary according to the level of violation, such as reprimands etc., (3) the school can help students develop a sense of responsibility by creating a supportive environment, (4) the school has a strong commitment to supporting teachers to educate students about the importance of complying with regulations through various strategic measures, (5) the school handles lazy students with a holistic approach and focuses on individual understanding and solutions, (6) the school educates students on the importance of completing tasks independently as part of character formation and responsibility.

Abstract

This research uses a quantitative approach with a type of experimental research aimed at testing hypotheses or theories through measurement and analysis of numerical data. The main goal of experimental research is to determine cause-and-effect relationships between the variables studied. Research in the form of Quasi Experimental Design uses methods that do not fully control the variables that influence the research results, but can still provide useful information about the cause-and-effect relationships between the variables studied. Based on the problem formulation: (1) What is the description of the use of Powtoon learning media among class III students at SD Negeri Region II, Polewali District, Polewali Mandar Regency? (2) What is the description of students' learning motivation before and after using Powtoon learning media in class III of Region II Public Elementary School, Polewali District, Polewali Mandar Regency? (3) Is there an effect of using Powtoon learning media on the learning motivation of class III students at SD Negeri Region II, Polewali District, Polewali Mandar Regency? So this research aims to find out: (1) An overview of the use of Powtoon learning media in class III students at SD Negeri Region II, Polewali District, Polewali Mandar Regency (2) A description of students' learning motivation before and after using Powtoon learning media in class III at SD Negeri Region II Polewali District, Polewali Mandar Regency (3) The influence of using Powtoon learning media on the learning motivation of class III students at SD Negeri Region II, Polewali District, Polewali Mandar Regency.

Abstract

Inclusive education in elementary schools aims to provide equal access for all students, including those with special needs. One of the main challenges in implementing inclusive education is strengthening literacy skills, which are essential for academic success. This study aims to identify and analyze the curriculum innovations implemented in inclusive elementary schools to strengthen literacy skills. A qualitative descriptive approach with a case study design was used in this research. The study was conducted in two inclusive elementary schools in Makassar City that apply the Merdeka Curriculum. The subjects of the study consisted of school principals, classroom teachers, special education teachers (GPK), and both special needs and regular students. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and document analysis. The results showed that curriculum innovations, such as the use of Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles, project-based learning, and the integration of educational technology, significantly supported the strengthening of literacy skills. Moreover, collaboration among teachers, students, parents, and the community played a key role in creating an inclusive and literate learning environment. This study concludes that responsive curriculum innovations that cater to the individual needs of students are crucial in achieving equitable and inclusive education in elementary schools.

Abstract

IPAS (Science and Social Studies) learning in elementary schools still faces challenges, including low student engagement and a lack of integration of local cultural values in learning. This study aims to develop a project-based IPAS learning device integrated with Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) for fifth-grade elementary school students in Makassar City. The study employed the 4D development model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate), which includes needs analysis, instructional design, product development, and limited trials. The trial was conducted in two elementary schools, involving two teachers and 62 students. Data were collected through learning activity observations, expert validation (material and media), student and teacher questionnaires, and learning outcome tests. Validation by two material experts and two media experts showed the product to be in the "highly valid" category. Observation results indicated strong student engagement (88%), especially in group discussions and project presentations. Student responses revealed high enthusiasm for the culturally contextual and enjoyable learning process. Teachers stated that the learning device was easy to use, systematic, and relevant to students' real-life experiences. Test results showed an increase in average scores from 61.9 (pre-test) to 85.5 (post-test), with a gain score of 0.61 (high category). The project-based learning integrated with CRT effectively enhanced students’ engagement and understanding of IPAS concepts linked to local culture. This learning device is recommended for implementation in multicultural elementary school contexts.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan media pembelajaran wordwall terhadap hasil belajar Pendidikan Pancasila Siswa Kelas V UPT SPF SD Inpres Barombong 2. Jenis Penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dan desain penelitian menggunakan Quasi Experimental dengan tipe tipe Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Data analisis menggunakan analisis statistik deskriptif dan analisis statistik inferensial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Gambaran pelaksanaan proses pembelajaran menggunakan media pembelajaran wordwall selama dua kali pertemuan, keterlibatan siswa dalam proses pembelajaran meningkat hingga mencapai kategori sangat baik, (2) gambaran hasil belajar pendidikan pancasila pada siswa mencapai kategori sangat tinggi, (3) Terdapat pengaruh penggunaan media pembelajaran wordwall terhadap hasil belajar pendidikan pancasila siswa dibuktikan dengan hasil uji hipotesis menggunakan rumus Independent Sample t-Test berbantuan IBM SPSS Statistic.

Abstract

Urgensi penelitian ini muncul dari rendahnya pemanfaatan dan integrasi situs budaya lokal Taman Arkeologi Leang-Leang dalam pembelajaran IPS di sekolah dasar, sehingga diperlukan pengembangan sumber belajar kontekstual yang mampu meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran sekaligus menumbuhkan kesadaran pelestarian budaya di kalangan siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi dan mengidentifikasi objek-objek di kawasan Taman Arkeologi Leang-Leang yang dapat dijadikan sebagai sumber belajar kontekstual dalam pembelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial (IPS) di Sekolah Dasar. Penelitian ini termasuk dalam kategori penelitian deskriptif kualitatif, yang berarti bahwa penelitian ini berfokus pada identifikasi dan penjabaran berbagai objek di lokasi taman Arkeologi Leang-leang yang dipilih sebagai sumber belajar IPS untuk mendukung pembelajaran kontekstual. Penelitian ini mengidentifikasi titik-titik lokasi dengan mempertimbangkan aspek geografi, sejarah, dan budaya, serta relevansi dengan kurikulum IPS tingkat SD. Data primer diperoleh melalui observasi lapangan, dokumentasi visual dan audiovisual, serta pemetaan lokasi, sedangkan data sekunder dikumpulkan dari literatur ilmiah dan referensi daring yang relevan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan lima titik lokasi utama yang berpotensi menjadi sumber belajar IPS, yaitu Leang Pettakere, Leang Pettae, Taman Batu, Sungai Leang-Leang, dan Pusat Informasi Gambar Prasejarah. Pemanfaatan kelima situs ini dalam pembelajaran kontekstual berkontribusi pada peningkatan keterlibatan siswa, pemahaman materi secara lebih konkret, serta penanaman nilai-nilai pelestarian budaya lokal.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of the use of the Self-Training feature on the Ruang GTK Platform on the pedagogical competence of elementary school teachers in Manggala District, Makassar City. The research method used is descriptive quantitative with a correlational approach. Data were collected through questionnaires and interviews with 75 teachers. The results showed that both the use of the Self-Training feature and teachers’ pedagogical competence were in the high category. Regression analysis revealed a positive and significant influence between the two variables, with a contribution of 46%. These findings support digital platforms as effective tools for teacher professional development.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the role of social studies learning in creating students with character. The writing method used is literature review using books and articles that have similar themes as references. Based on the results of the literature review, the findings in this paper are that social studies learning has an important role in realizing students from an early age (elementary school level). The PBL model is a learning model that is very relevant in integrating character values in social studies learning in elementary schools.

Abstract

This study examines the effectiveness of a Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)-oriented Ethno-STEM approach in promoting environmental awareness among elementary school students through natural and social science learning. Utilizing a quasi-experimental one-group pretest-posttest design, the research involved 60 students from an elementary school in Makassar, Indonesia. Environmental awareness was assessed before and after the implementation of Ethno-STEM-integrated lessons that incorporated culturally relevant and participatory activities such as eco-brick making, waste management simulations, and the "Zero Plastic Week" challenge. Data were analyzed using a paired t-test, which revealed a statistically significant improvement in students' environmental awareness scores (p = 0.001), with the mean increasing from M = 61.06 (SD = 7.10) to M = 68.61 (SD = 6.63). The findings demonstrate that integrating local cultural values and sustainability themes into science education fosters both cognitive understanding and behavioral engagement with environmental issues. This study contributes to the development of culturally contextualized and sustainability-focused pedagogy, reinforcing the relevance of SDG 4 (quality education) and SDG 13 (climate action). This study is novel in its integration of SDGs-oriented Ethno-STEM with elementary science education, demonstrating not only cognitive improvement but also fostering affective and behavioral engagement. Its contribution lies in bridging cultural relevance with sustainability pedagogy, thereby informing both theoretical discourse and practical applications in early education.
