Abstract

Unemployment can occur due to imbalances in the labor market. This shows that the number of labor forces offered exceeds the number of labor forces requested. The purpose of the study is to analyze factors influencing the unemployment rate: a comparison among five ASEAN countries. This study used quantitative research. The data collection method in this study is documentation with secondary data since the year 2000-2018. The hypothesis test in this study is done by using Regression analysis and ANOVA with single Classification followed by Post Hoc Analysis. Analysis results analyze factors influencing the unemployment rate: a comparison among ASEAN-5 countries is showed (F=4.599; p<0.002). There is a significant impact of wage, inflation, economic growth and education on unemployment in ASEAN countries. The result found that among the several factors that cause unemployment in a countries the most significant is inflation value is 0.003 < 0.05. While other factors such as wage, economic growth, and education affect but are not significant. Future research should add other variables affecting the unemployment rate.

Abstract

Bandarharjo, North Semarang District has great potential to advance industrialization. The problem of this research was the decline of smoked fish product in Bandarharjo, North Semarang city. The purpose of this study was to describe the amount of costs and incomes in order to create business development strategies to overcome the obstacles faced by smoked fish entrepreneurs and increase smoked fish business income in Bandaharjo. This study used a quantitative approach. The population in this study was 25 smoked fish entrepreneurs in Bandarharjo. Data collection techniques were using interviews, documentation and questionnaires. The analysis technique used was descriptive percentage, net B / C ratio, payback period and SWOT analysis. The results of B / C ratio showed that the Period values was around 1.15, and Payback values was around 0.64. The SWOT strategy results in terms of EI strength are adequate capital, a strategic location for fumigation operations, easily accessible and can build business with relevant agencies. Then the weaknesses are business research and development has not been done, the management information system and the financial reporting system have not been running well. Opportunities offered are economic growth in Semarang significantly increased as well as the development and training of Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) by the government. Then the threat received is an increase in the price of raw materials.

Abstract

SMEs (Small and Medium Enterprises) are small business activities carried out by someone, which need to be protected to prevent unfair business competition. Bogares peanuts are one of many businesses in the Tegal Regency which needs to be developed because Bogares peanut is one of the special snacks from Tegal Regency. The purpose of this study was to analyze internal and external factors, to analyze business improvement strategies and to analyze the costs and benefits of production in Bogares Peanut SMEs. The research method used in this study was the Mix Methods. The analysis was done by the researchers using the SWOT analysis to measure business conditions in stable or unstable conditions, and the Cost Benefit Analysis was done to determine whether or not the business was feasible to be developed. The population in this study were all Bogares peanuts SMEs in Tegal Regency. The sampling technique used saturated sampling technique and the data collection techniques was done through interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. The results showed the internal factors of Bogares Peanut SMEs consisting of seven strengths and three weaknesses, in addition based on the Internal Factor Evaluation (IFE) matrix analysis, as big as 2.621 was located in quadrant II which means Bogares Peanut SMEs in Tegal Regency were in stable condition; while external factors consisted of four opportunities and four threats, based on the analysis of the External Factor Evaluation (EFE) matrix as big as 2.407 lies in quadrant V, which means that Bogares Peanut SMEs were in a stable condition; the analysis of cost benefit obtained a total value of 1.69> 1 it showed that the Bogares Peanut SMEs deserve to be developed.

Abstract

Market material is an economic subject matter in the study of more using lectures and memorization. This leads to a lack of ability for students to develop their potential and make students tend to be passive. Therefore, it takes a learning model that able to make students more active in learning. One of the learning models that can improve the quality and results of the economic learning of Model Project Based Learning (PjBL) with a Scientific approach. The purpose of this study is to know the Project Based Learning model is more effective in improving the results of the study of economic subjects of SMA Negeri 15 Semarang. This research used experimental research with nonequivalent control group design. The method of collecting data in this study used observation methods and tests. The population number in this study was 108 students. Based on the results of the analysis, an increase in the learning outcomes of economic subjects for the experimental group amounted to 27.31% with an average score of 89.36 and an increase in the learning outcomes of economic subjects for the control group of 10.79% with an average score of 77.00. This shows that the Project Based Learning Model is more effective than conventional learning model or lecture in improving the results of the study of economic subjects of SMA Negeri 15 Semarang.

Abstract

One of the aspects of literacy that students must and need to be mastered as a provision for future life is financial literacy. This study aims to develop a learning model in economics that is valid, practical, and effective to improve the financial literacy of students of SMAN 16 Semarang. The type of research was research and development (R&D) with a 4D development model which consists of define, design, develop, and disseminate stages. Due to time and cost limitations, this research only reaches the development stage with a product trial to produce the final model of learning. Model validation used expert validation technique (Delphi exercise) with two experts carried out in two stages. The data collection used expert validation sheets, teacher and student practicality sheets, test sheets, observation sheets, and questionnaires. The data obtained were analyzed quantitatively and explained descriptively in the discussion. The results of the study state that 1) The learning model meets the valid criteria, with a score of 4.05 in Stage I and Stage II with an average score of 4.32 in the very valid category 2)The results of teacher's questionnaire response have an average score of 4.30 and students have an average score of 4.31 learning model meets very practical criteria 3)The learning model has met the effective criteria. In the Paired Sample Test, there is a 2-way (t-tailed) significance value of 0.000 <0.05, which means that there is a difference between before and after the learning model carried out. The N-gain test of 0.36 is in the medium category. Thus, it means that the simulation-based STAD cooperative using Nabung Saham Go is effective in improving students' financial literacy.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the BMC application model, as well as the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of the Teaching Factory-based BMC Application Model for Improving Student Creativity at Central Java Public Vocational Schools in Semarang. The research was conducted using the Research and development (R&D) method with the 4D development model (define, design, develop, disseminate). The preliminary study stage in this study used open interview observations from the teacher’s statements. The development stage of the BMC application model includes product design validated by experts, then implemented into learning tools that would be validated by practitioners as model users before being applied in the classroom to improve student creativity. The results of this study indicate that the Teaching Factory-Based BMC Application Model is valid according to the triangulation of sources through credibility, transferability, and dependability, conformability. Based on the practicality questionnaire and interview guidelines given by 105 students and 5 teachers, the results are "very practical". Based on the assessment of the effectiveness using the t-test with a significance level of 95%, the probability value/ P value of the paired t-test is 0.000 <0.05. Gain test with the average gain of 0.490 is in the medium category, meaning that students experience increased creativity after implementing the Teaching Factory-based BMC application model and is effectively used to improve student creativity.

Abstract

The National Education System is defined as a conscious and planned effort to create an atmosphere of learning and the learning process so that students can actively develop their potential to have spiritual strength, self-control, personality, intelligence, morality, media as well as the necessary skills needed by them, society, nation and state. Education is expected to form the Indonesian people who are able to master science and technological development required to build Indonesia. The method used in this research using regression analysis techniques model path analysis. The population in this study was carried out on grade XI students of State Senior High school in Pemalang Regency. The sampling technique in this study using cluster sampling technique. The variables in this study are independent variables which include the family environment, future orientation, while the dependent variable is the interest in continuing to the college of state senior high schools students in Pemalang. Data collection techniques using questionnaires and documentation. The research results showed that the family environment had a positive and significant effect on learning motivation. Future orientation has a positive and significant effect on learning motivation. Family environment has a positive and significant effect on interest in continuing to college through learning motivation. Future orientation has a negative and insignificant effect on interest in continuing to college through learning motivation. Learning motivation has a positive and significant effect on the interest in continuing to college.

Abstract

Sekolah menengah kejuruan (SMK) merupakan lembaga pendidikan formal yang bertujuan menghasilkan lulusan yang terampil, mandiri, dan mampu bersaing dalam dunia kerja. Kesiapan kerja penting dimiliki oleh siswa SMK untuk memasuki dunia kerja. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis pengaruh praktik kerja industri, bimbingan karier, dan lingkungan keluarga baik secara langsung maupun tidak langsung melalui efikasi diri terhadap kesiapan kerja siswa SMK. Jenis penelitian adalah kuantitatif dengan pendekatan korelasional. Populasi penelitian sebanyak 619 siswa dengan jumlah sampel penelitian sebanyak 161 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan kuesioner yang diuji validitas, uji reliabilitas dan uji asumsi klasik. Teknik analisis menggunakan analisis jalur dan uji sobel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ada pengaruh prakerin, bimbingan karier, lingkungan keluarga dan efikasi diri terhadap kesiapan kerja. Hasil uji sobel, efikasi diri dapat memediasi pengaruh prakerin, bimbingan karier dan lingkungan keluarga terhadap kesiapan kerja.

Abstract

Along with the development of the era the role of education is very important in preparing quality human resources. So that the rapid change of times can be responded by educational products, therefore students need to pursue higher education to be able to improve their quality. The purpose of this study was to analyze the influence of family learning and socioeconomic motivation on the interest of continuing to college through learning achievement as a variable of mediation. The population in this study was 5930 students, with proportional cluster random sampling technique obtained sample size of 375 students. Data collection techniques using questionnaires and documentation. Data analysis using path analysis and sobel test. The results showed that there is a direct influence of learning motivation on the interest of continuing higher education 12.1% and the influence of total motivation to study on interest in college through learning achievement of 26.4%, there is a direct influence of socioeconomic family front on interest to college 17% and there is a total influence of socioeconomic family on interest to college through learning achievement of 31.8%. The total influence is greater than direct influence, so it is concluded that there is mediation between learning motivation and socioeconomic family as an independent variable on the interest of continuing to college. Sobel Test results stated that the coefficient of mediation is significant, so that learning achievement is proven to mediate the influence of learning motivation and socioeconomic family on interest in college. Based on the results of the study, it was concluded that there is a positive influence of learning motivation, socioeconomic status of the family, and learning achievement on the interest of continuing education to higher education in students of SMA Negeri Sekota Semarang both simultaneously and partially. The advice given in this study is expected that parents can improve their family's socioeconomic degree in order to facilitate their children's education and students have a better motivation to learn ahead and have an impact on increased learning achievement so that students' interest in higher education will be stronger.

Abstract

Students at SMAN Jambi City, one of which is SMAN 7 and SMAN 11 Jambi City, have fewer entrepreneurial intentions. And research findings that vary from one study to another. The aim of this study was to see whether entrepreneurial knowledge, personality, motivation, and family environment impacted career intentions, both directly and indirectly, using self-efficacy as a mediator. With a sample size of 154 respondents, the study approach used was quantitative. Data collection methods was a questionnaire and documentation. Percentage descriptive and path analysis were used in the data analysis. (1) Entrepreneurial knowledge (X1) and entrepreneurial personality (X2) have a positive and important impact on entrepreneurial intention, according to data analysis. (2), while motivation (X3) and family environment (X4) have a positive and important impact on entrepreneurial intentions. (3) Self-efficacy can significantly mediate the impact of the family environment (X4), entrepreneurial knowledge (X1), entrepreneurial personality (X2), and motivation (X3) on entrepreneurial intentions by mediating the independent variables
