Abstract

This article analyzes the effectiveness of the management of educators and education personnel in improving the quality of education at SMK Negeri 1 Surabaya. Management of educators and education personnel is one of the efforts made by the Education Office in achieving educational goals to create superior generations of successors in facing the current technological era. Improving the quality of educators and education personnel is needed so that the process of implementing learning and teaching activities in an educational institution can run optimally and efficiently. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative which focuses on data collection techniques by conducting interviews with selected sources. The results of this study indicate the effectiveness of management carried out in improving the quality of teaching and education personnel at SMK Negeri 1 Surabaya.

Abstract

Management of educators and education personnel is a key aspect of personnel management in educational institutions, with strategies for managing teacher and educator staff being the main focus for achieving quality learning. Professional development is also crucial in improving the competence and quality of trainers, while evaluation of their activities is necessary to monitor and improve performance. This study uses the literature method, with data collected through library data, reading, and managing research materials. The findings of this study show that effective human resource management strategies involve careful planning, thorough training and development, and regular performance evaluation. The implementation of education policies that focus on quality learning requires cross-departmental cooperation and active participation from various stakeholders. Environmental and organizational factors, including management, regulation, human resources, infrastructure, relationships, collaboration and changes in the external environment, also influence the effectiveness of HRM in educational institutions. By understanding the importance of educator and education personnel management and implementing effective HRM strategies, educational institutions can create a quality and competitive learning environment. This will positively impact the quality of education provided to students and help achieve broader educational goals.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze strategies that can improve the performance of teaching staff and education staff at SMPN 15 Gresik. The research method used is a case study with a qualitative research approach. Data was obtained through observation, interviews and document analysis. The findings show that the implementation of professional training and development, welfare development, as well as improving learning facilities and environments are the main factors in improving the performance of teaching and education staff. The results of this research can contribute to school administrators in designing effective strategies to improve the quality of education at SMPN 15 Gresik.

Abstract

Building an effective communication system in the educational sector or institution is a way that an educational organization/institution can respond to global challenges so that it is able to produce appropriate expectations. Effective communication between educational management and educational staff is the most important part of the supervision process in the educational sector which moves education to become more interactive, collaborative and able to be oriented towards achieving learning goals. What will be achieved in this research is analyzing the role of effective communication in supervision or educational institutions and also emphasizing the concept of the importance of effective communication in order to improve the cooperative attitude and performance of educational staff. The method used in this writing is through interviews, observation, data analysis from observations and interviews, collecting and reviewing relevant literature published in the form of scientific works that are appropriate to the topic of this research. The results of this research show that effective communication plays a very important and necessary role because it is crucial in building an attitude of cooperation, providing facilities for the exchange of performance and experience and input of brilliant ideas can also increase the quality of supervision from supervision, providing constructive feedback can also be achieved. provide solutions to problems of opinion in the field of education. Effective communication in the field of education can strengthen a sense of connection and also help develop the professional attitudes of education staff.

Abstract

The MBKM student exchange program is conducted in the Department of Educational Management, FIP, State University of Surabaya. The program is implemented online considering the pandemic is still ongoing. This research has a high urgency because it is important to know how the management of MBKM student exchanges during the Covid-19 pandemic, considering that so far student exchanges have been carried out directly or face-to-face before the Covid-19 pandemic. A qualitative approach with the case study method was used in this research. The results showed that student exchange management started from planning, organizing, implementing, to evaluating. The four steps are summarized in seven activities in the management of MBKM student exchange during the pandemic in the Department of Education Management, FIP Unesa, namely: (1) planning; (2) socialization; (3) recruitment; (4) student orientation; (5) student placement; (6) student development; and (7) recording and reporting. This study can be used as recommendations for the implementation of online student exchanges by other universities because it shows the process starting from program planning, organizing, implementing, to evaluation.

Abstract

Strategi pengembangan profesionalisme guru dan tenaga kependidikan dalam meningkatkan mutu pendidikan adalah sekumpulan kegiatan yang dilakukan untuk mengembangkan kemampuan, keterampilan, dan sikap diri guru dan tenaga kependidikan. Tujuan artikel untuk mendeskripsikan atau menjawab dari rumusan masalah yang terbagi menjadi 5 poin tentang strategi pengembangan profesionalisme GTK dalam meningkatkan mutu pendidikan di SMPN 34 Surabaya. Dalam artikel ini metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan melakukan studi literatur, observasi, dan wawancara. SMPN 34 Surabaya ini memiliki profesionalisme guru tenaga kependidikan yang baik dan bermutu dalam pembelajaran, selain itu artikel ini juga membahas terkait peran penting profesionalisme GTK dalam meningkatkan mutu pendidikan, faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi pengembangan profesionalisme GTK, upaya dan program pengembangan, inovasi dan metode pembelajaran yang dilakukan GTK, dan pengintegrasian teknologi dalam pendidikan di SMPN 34 Surabaya.

Abstract

Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk: (1) melihat bagaimana pelaksanaan monitoring dan evaluasi keuangan sekolah di SMP; (2) untuk melihat bagaimana sekolah menerapkan prinsip transparansi dan akuntabilitas dalam pengelolaan keuangan sekolah; dan (3) untuk melihat pengaruh monitoring dan evaluasi keuangan sekolah dalam memperbaiki pengelolaan keuangan sekolah. Dalam keberhasilan pelaksanaan pendidikan salah satunya adalah komponen manajemen keuangan sekolah yang perlu dikelola dan dimanfaatkan dengan sebaik-baiknya. Sekolah perlu melaksanakan Manajemen keuangan sekolah dengan baik dengan cara merencanakan dan mengembangkan segala sumber daya yang dimiliki secara efektif dan efisien. Pendekatan penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dan teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui kegiatan wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah bendahara sekolah yang memiliki peran penting dalam pengelolaan keuangan sekolah. Hasil penelitian menujukkan bahwa pelaksanaan monitoring dan evaluasi keuangan telah berjalan dengan baik dan dilaksanakan langsung oleh kepala sekolah, pihak yayasan, maupun dinas pendidikan. Selama pelaksanaan monitoring dan evaluasi keuangan sekolah minim ditemukan ketidaksesuaian dengan RKAS yang telah dibuat sebelumnya. Dengan adanya pelaksanaan monitoring dan evaluasi ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan transparansi dan akuntabilitas dalam mengelola keuangan sekolah sehingga harapannya tidak terjadi hal-hal yang tidak diinginkan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas tentang pengaruh mutu tenaga pendidik terhadap keberlangsungan proses pembelajaran di bidang pendidikan, khususnya peran dan signifikansi tenaga pendidik dan kependidikan dalam pembentukan karakter bangsa melalui proses pembelajaran. Meskipun teknologi telah berkembang pesat sebagai tambahan dalam proses belajar-mengajar, peran guru tetap menjadi elemen kunci dalam masyarakat Indonesia. Keberhasilan suatu lembaga pendidikan tercermin dari kepercayaan masyarakat terhadap kemampuan pendidiknya dalam memberikan pendidikan berkualitas kepada anak-anak mereka. Manajemen pendidik dan kependidikan di semua tingkatan memegang peranan penting dalam menetapkan standar mutu pendidikan serta meningkatkan kualitasnya. Dukungan dari berbagai pihak seperti komite sekolah, lembaga pendidikan, dan pemerintah sangat diperlukan untuk memastikan tugas dan fungsi mereka terlaksana dengan baik, sementara inovasi diperlukan untuk mengembangkan sekolah dan meningkatkan prestasi belajar siswa.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of principal leadership on the effectiveness of primary schools. This research used a quantitative method. The research targets teachers in Surabaya, utilizing a sample of 376 respondents selected through a systematic random cluster sampling technique. The research instrument Principal Leadership adapted "The Successful School Leadership Survey," comprising 22 items, and the school effectiveness instrument was adapted "PESOC," consisting of 17 items from previous studies. Data was collected using an online questionnaire administered through Google Forms. The analysis employed Structural Equation Modeling with Partial Least Squares (SEM PLS), encompassing both inner and outer model evaluations. The study's result was that principal leadership positively affected the effectiveness of schools. The research findings strongly supported the notion that the leadership exhibited by school principals was a critical factor in the establishment and maintenance of effective schools. The study emphasized the importance of leadership that specifically addresses the four dimensions outlined in the Successful School Leadership survey, highlighting their integral role in shaping and sustaining educational institutions that are deemed effective.

Abstract

Excellent education quality is an important cornerstone in efforts to strengthen the competitiveness of a society. One of the most crucial elements in achieving this is the quality of educators and support staff in educational institutions. A study was conducted to examine this aspect in depth, focusing on the situation at SMAN 1 Krembung. The method used was a qualitative approach through literature analyses. Overall, the quality of educators and support staff at SMAN 1 Krembung can be said to be satisfactory. However, there are still challenges that need to be overcome. Therefore, it is important for them to continue to attend training and development programs organized by related parties. To face these challenges, close cooperation between the school and related agencies, as well as a strong commitment from the educators and support staff to continue learning and improving themselves, is required. Such training and educational development will not only improve their technical skills but also their understanding of educational developments and community needs. With the awareness of the importance of improving the equality of education, SMAN 1 Krembung can continue to progress in providing quality educational services for students. This not only benefits the individuals involved, but also contributes to the development of a competitive society at both local and national levels. Therefore, concrete steps need to be taken to ensure that the quality of education at SMAN 1 Krembung continues to improve in line with the times and global demands.
