Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of giving three different exercise methods (Plyometric, SAQ, and Traning Circuit) on increasing leg muscle power and dolyo chagi kick speed in taekwondo athletes. The research design used pre and post design with a total of 18 Unesa student taekwondo athletes as research subjects. The subjects were divided into three groups (PLY, SAQ, and ST) consisting of 6 athletes each. The PLY group performs plyometric; The SAQ group performs Speed, Agility, and Quickness; and the ST Group performs circuit training. Interventions were given to each group with 18 meetings with a frequency of 3 times each week. Data analysis using manova test assisted with R studio software. The results of this study showed that the average value of the increase in leg power and kick speed was the highest in the SAQ group respectively 2.95±2.40 watts and 1.30±0.80 m/s. The manova test showed a p value of 0.1239 which means that there is no significant difference from the three training methods to leg power and kick speed. In conclusion, plyomeric training methods, SAQ, and training circuits can increase dolyo chagi leg power and kick speed in taekwondo athletes, but there is no significant difference in the improvement.

Abstract

University, which is the only vocational education program in sports in Indonesia. This study used quantitative survey research with 47 undergraduate students of Applied Sports Coaching at Surabaya State University as research subjects. The instrument used uses the SERVQUAL method, which consists of five dimensions, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy, and tangible, with 22 questions. The research questionnaire is given online when students make a study plan. The results showed that the Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) value was 66.58%. The dimensions of responsibility and credibility are the best compared to the other dimensions. The conclusion is that overall the level of satisfaction with educational services felt by students at the Bachelor of Applied Sports Coaching at Surabaya State University is in the satisfied category. However, some dimensions need to be improved, namely, transparency and fairness.

Abstract

Success requires highly qualified teachers who use their skills and assessment tools to diagnose learner needs, and then design targeted instruction with available resources. Only in this way can the integration of ChatGPT in blended learning be transformational, when teaching does not reflect traditional practices but is a series of dynamic experiences in the hands of students. Where the research aims to examine the Integration of ChatGPT in Blended Learning: A Systematic Literature Review. The review was conducted based on state-of-the-art methods using the preferred reporting items for reviews and meta-analyses (PRISMA) guidelines. The results of this research explain that there are 4 types of characteristics of Blended Learning, namely Combining Various Delivery Methods, Combining Direct Teaching, and Combining Effective Teaching Methods and Learning Styles, Teachers and Parents Have the Same Role. Some of the benefits of Blended Learning are More Flexible, Effective Learning Results, Increasing Student Interaction and Involvement, Able to Increase Learning Satisfaction, Student Participation Becomes More Active, and costs and Time. Categories of Use of Technology (ChatGPT) in Blended Learning are Managed learning, regulated learning, collaborative learning, and authentic learning

Abstract

This study aims to analyze injury risk management practices among amateur badminton athletes by exploring the perspectives of both coaches and athletes in the Grati Badminton Community, Pasuruan Regency. The research seeks to identify key factors influencing injury prevention, response, and recovery processes within community-level sports education. The study incorporates insights from a small circle of individuals who are actively engaged in the community’s training routine, providing a focused and in-depth view of how injury risks are recognized and handled. Data were collected using observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation techniques, then analyzed through thematic analysis to capture in-depth insights regarding knowledge, attitudes, and practices related to injury risk management. Findings indicate that injury risk management in the community remains largely reactive, with preventive strategies yet to be systematically implemented. Coaches tend to rely on personal experience rather than evidence-based guidelines, while athletes exhibit limited awareness of injury prevention and rehabilitation principles. The absence of standardized operating procedures (SOPs), inadequate medical support, and minimal educational interventions further exacerbate the problem. This study provides a valuable empirical perspective on how grassroots-level badminton communities in rural Indonesia manage injury risks. It highlights the importance of structured educational programs and collaborative efforts between coaches, athletes, and supporting institutions to create safer and more sustainable training environments for amateur athletes.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the kinematics of the men's 50 and 100 meter freestyle swimming athletes. Research method uses quantitative descriptive with 50 meter swimmers and 100 meter freestyle men at the 2019 IOAC championship. Instrument used was a Sony Rx-10Mark IV camera placed in the highest stands at a distance of 25 m in a 50-meter pool. Video results analyzed using the Kinovea 0.8.27 software by calculating the SF,SV,SR, and SL. The results showed that the average number of a 50meter had an SF of 13.06,SV of 1.89 m.s-1,SR of 59.08 cycles.min-1, and SL of 1.92 m.cycle-1. The 100 meter number, the average SF value is 11.8 at a distance of 50-meter and 12.08 at 100 meter. In comparison, the SV average is 1.73 m.s-1 at a distance of 50 and 1.72 m.s-1 at a distance of 100-meter. SR the average is 46.35 cycles.min-1 distance of 50 meter and 50, 2 100 m distance. SL the average is 2.25 m.cycle-1 distance of 50-meter and 2.08 distance of 100-meter. Conclusion, are differences in kinematics of swimming between the men's 50 meter and 100 meter freestyle in SV and SR,while those in SF and SL tend to be the same.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the impact of a combination of plyometric and ladder drill training methods in increasing leg muscle speed, agility, and power. This research is a quantitative study with a quasi-experimental type and uses a nonequivalent control group design. Purposive sampling technique was used from 36 trained male students aged 12-16 years old from junior high school 1 to 36 years old badminton students. The research subjects were divided into three groups, namely TR (tuck jump-double leg run), SH (squat jump-double leg hop), and C (conventional exercise), which were divided using matched ordinal pairing. Each group consists of twelve students doing treatment with a frequency of three days a week for six weeks. The research instruments used were the 30-meter sprint, agility T-test, and Jump MD. Data collection was carried out twice during the pretest and posttest. Data analysis techniques using Manova and post hoc tests. The Manova test results showed significant differences in the three groups' increasing speed, agility, and leg muscle power simultaneously. The post hoc test showed that the TR and SH groups differed significantly from the C group (p<0.05).

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of cardio and tabata training on reducing body fat and increasing aerobic capacity. This research is an experimental research with a pre and post-control group design. The research sample was split into three groups, each with 9 participants: control group (K1), cardio group (K2), and Tabata group (K3), group division was carried out randomly on research subjects. K1 without any exercise, whereas K2 (cardio) is running and skipping at an intensity of 55% and 70% of one's maximum heart rate. K3 (Tabata) performs burpees and jogging with a 90% – 95% HR maximum intensity. A skinfold calliper was used to quantify body fat, and a 12-minute Cooper test was used to gauge aerobic capacity. The Manova test was employed for data analysis, and a significance threshold 0.05 was used. The result of this study is that K3 had significantly less body fat than K1 and K2, and K2 had significantly less body fat than K1 (p 0.05). Comparing K3 and K2 to K1, aerobic capacity was substantially improved (p 0.05). In conclusion, six weeks of cardio and Tabata training impacted lowering body fat and raising maximum aerobic capacity.
