Abstract

This study analyzes the regulation and practice of akad salam and istishna in the Sharia banking system in Indonesia. By paying attention to the existing regulatory framework, this article examines the practical implementation of akad salam and istishna by Sharia banks in Indonesia as well as the challenges faced in the application of the contract. The results of the analysis highlight the importance of a deep understanding of sharia principles in the development of appropriate sharia banking products and services. Abstract

Artikel ini merangkum kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang melibatkan kolaborasi antara dosen dan mahasiswa dalam upaya meningkatkan kosakata dan literasi bahasa Inggris bagi siswa sekolah menengah. Fokus kegiatan ini adalah implementasi metode Discussion-Based Learning (DBL) dengan materi dasar morfologi bahasa Inggris, pada topik "Giving and Asking for Opinion". Kegiatan dilaksanakan sebanyak dua (2) kali pertemuan pada tanggal 9 dan 16 Mei 2024 dengan peserta 17 orang siswa kelas VII di MTS Hidayatul Insan. Metode DBL dipilih untuk meningkatkan partisipasi aktif siswa dalam diskusi, serta memperkuat pemahaman mereka terhadap penggunaan morfologi dalam konteks percakapan sehari-hari. Hasil kegiatan PKM ini menunjukkan hasil yang signifikan, yang tercermin dari umpan balik positif dari peserta. Artikel ini diharapkan dapat menjadi referensi kegiatan dalam mengimplementasikan metode serupa untuk penguatan literasi bahasa Inggris di sekolah menengah.

Abstract

This research aimed to design and develop TOEFL-based vocabulary-building materials for students at IAIN Palangka Raya. The research addresses the need for specialized English instructional materials for TOEFL preparation. Existing TOEFL preparation resources are often generic and not tailored to the specific needs of Indonesian students. The purpose of this research is to create materials grounded in the KKNI framework to enhance students' proficiency in reading, writing, listening, speaking, vocabulary, and grammar. Data were gathered through needs analysis, reference studies, material development, expert validation, and tryouts using observations, questionnaires, and interviews. The developed materials include sequences of tasks designed to incrementally build the language skills required for the TOEFL. Expert validation and empirical try-outs confirmed that the materials effectively address students' needs and support TOEFL preparation. This research demonstrates a systematic approach to developing targeted instructional materials that fill a gap in available TOEFL resources. Using these materials is expected to improve students' lexical knowledge and lead to higher TOEFL scores, providing a model for data-driven development of instructional materials based on local contexts.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the importance of understanding the factors that influence English language acquisition in children with intellectual disability, given that they face unique challenges in the learning process. Children with cognitive disability require customized learning methods to maximize language acquisition. This study aims to identify the factors that influence their ability to learn English. This research was conducted at SLB Negeri 1 Palangka Raya involving 7 students as research subjects. The methodology applied was a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, interview, and documentation. Observation was conducted to observe students' interaction in the learning process, while interviews were conducted with educators to gain a deeper understanding of the support provided. As well as documentation related to the learning process. The results indicated that two factors were identified: external factors, such as parental support and a conducive learning environment, have a significant influence on English language acquisition. Secondly, internal factors such as learning motivation and students' cognitive capacity also play an important role in the learning process. The implications of this study emphasize the importance of developing English language teaching programs that are more inclusive and tailored to the specific needs of children with intellectual disability.

Abstract

Pemanfaatan teknologi digital dalam pendidikan semakin penting untuk menciptakan pembelajaran yang relevan dengan kebutuhan zaman. Artikel ini membahas implementasi aplikasi Kahoot dalam kegiatan asistensi mengajar di SMA NU Palangka Raya sebagai bagian dari program Merdeka Belajar-Kampus Merdeka (MBKM). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dampak penggunaan Kahoot terhadap partisipasi siswa, efektivitas pembelajaran, dan pengembangan kompetensi mahasiswa asisten mengajar. Metode yang digunakan meliputi observasi, wawancara, dan kuesioner kepada siswa, guru, dan mahasiswa asisten. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Kahoot meningkatkan partisipasi siswa sebesar 85%, mempermudah guru dalam mengevaluasi pemahaman siswa secara real-time, dan mendukung mahasiswa asisten dalam mengembangkan keterampilan mengajar berbasis teknologi. Meski demikian, beberapa kendala teknis seperti keterbatasan perangkat dan koneksi internet masih menjadi tantangan yang perlu diatasi. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa Kahoot merupakan inovasi pembelajaran yang efektif dalam menciptakan suasana belajar yang interaktif, menyenangkan, dan relevan dengan kebutuhan abad ke-21. Artikel ini juga merekomendasikan penguatan infrastruktur digital dan pelatihan bagi tenaga pendidik untuk mendukung keberlanjutan program ini di berbagai institusi pendidikan.

Abstract

Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan bagaimana kegiatan ice breaking dapat digunakan untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa di SMA NU Palangka Raya. Kegiatan ini dirancang untuk menciptakan suasana kelas yang menyenangkan dan interaktif, sehingga siswa menjadi lebih antusias dan terlibat dalam proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan teknik analisis dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jika diterapkan dengan baik, kegiatan ice breaking dapat membantu siswa lebih aktif berpartisipasi, mengurangi rasa jenuh dalam belajar, dan mempererat hubungan antara guru dan siswa. Hal ini membuktikan bahwa kegiatan ice breaking adalah cara yang sederhana namun efektif untuk meningkatkan motivasi dan keterlibatan siswa dalam pembelajaran.

Abstract

Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi efektivitas penggunaan aplikasi YouTube sebagai media pembelajaran bahasa Inggris di SMA NU Palangka Raya, khususnya dalam materi Opinion and Thought. Metode yang digunakan adalah Kegiatan tindakan kelas dengan melibatkan dua kelas XI IPA dan IPS. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan analisis dokumen. Hasil Kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan YouTube meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa dan mempermudah guru dalam menyampaikan materi. Selain itu, terdapat pengaruh positif terhadap pemahaman materi oleh siswa. Kesimpulannya, YouTube merupakan alat yang efektif dalam mendukung proses pembelajaran bahasa Inggris di tingkat SMA.

Abstract

Bahasa inggris merupakan bahasa yang universal yang digunakan hampir di seluruh belahan dunia. Oleh karena banyak media pembelajaran yang digunakan dengan tujuan meningkatkan kemampuan bahasa inggris. Pengabdiaan masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mengenalkan dan mengajarkan bahasa inggris menggunakan media boneka tali. Metode yang digunakan untuk pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah demonstrasi. subyeknya adalah siswa atau santri tahfidz yayasan Darul Amin Palangka Raya yang berjumlah 15 siswa.  Boneka tali terbuat dari bahan dasar kardus yang digunting dan dirangkai mengikuti pola yang telah ditentukan, kemudian diberi tali pada bagian bagian tertentu yang telah ditetapkan dalam pola sehingga boneka tersebut dapat di gerakan atau dimainkan sebagai nedia belajar bahasa inggris dengan materi describing people and animals. Hasil dari temuan yang kami dapatkan adalah sebagai berikut: meningkatkan minat belajar anak-anak dalam pembelajaran bahasa Inggris, meningkatkan penguasaan kosa kata dalam bahasa inggris khususnya kosa kata tentang descibing people and animal, lebih mudah memahami materi pembelajaran bahasa Inggris melalui penggunaan media boneka tali, meningkatkan kreativitas dan daya imajinasi anak-anak dalam belajar bahasa Inggris. Sehingga dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa pengajaran bahasa inggris menggunakan media boneka tali berpengaruh pada minat dan kemampuan berbahasa inggris siswa.

Abstract

In learning English as a foreign language, four skills should be mastered by the learners. They are listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Writing has an important role for people. Writing is one of the ways to communicate as well as speaking. Some people my not like it much, because in general, writing skills are rarely more favorite than other. After all, it includes many aspects such as vocabulary, grammar, idioms, and so on. Writing is also the most important skill you need in University. It will be helpful when we need to accomplish our theses.  Self-efficacy, an individual's belief in his or her ability to achieve certain goals, is considered an important factor influencing academic performance, including writing skills. This study involved 48 Semester 6th students from the English language education study program at the Palangka Raya State Islamic Institute, using a self-efficacy questionnaire and a writing test as instruments. Data were analyzed using Pearson Product Moment Correlation to determine the strength and direction of the relationship between the two variables. From the results of the data analysis, it is clear that there is a relationship between self-efficacy (variable X) and writing ability (variable Y). The correlation results show that the value of r = 0.2053 is included in the "Weak" category, which indicates that although there is a positive correlation between Student Self-Efficacy and Writing Ability, this relationship is not strong. The coefficient of determination R² = 0.0422 or 4.22% indicates that only a small part of the variation in writing ability can be explained by student self-efficacy. T-test: The calculated t-value is 1.42. With a sample size of n = 48 and a commonly used significance level (α = 0.05), this t-value is not significant. This means there is no strong evidence to conclude that there is a significant relationship between self-efficacy and writing ability in this sample. The results of this study expand the understanding of the importance of other factors such as motivation, learning environment, and social support that may have more influence on improving writing skills. The study also confirms that the development of writing skills requires a holistic approach, which includes not only improving self-efficacy but also other aspects of the learning process.
