Abstract

The purpose of this study is to provide predictions of climate conditions and trend of temperature rise in the city of Palembang in the 21st century. The BMKG station data used, namely SK Palembang and SM SMB II from the 2000-2020 period were analyzed based on the agreement of the Expert Team for Climate Change Detection and Indices (ETCCDI). ). Analysis using google colab shows that rainfall in the city of Palembang has a fairly high variability and a decrease in the number of rainy days that occur in the city of Palembang with the trend of air temperature, namely TMAXmean and TMINmean, has increased significantly by 2.40C for 50 years. Based on the correlation analysis between rainfall and El Niño-Southern Oscillation (ENSO) with Google Colab, a negative relationship was found. The El Niño-Southern Oscillation (ENSO) index used is the Niño 3.4 index. The study concluded that although the geographical location of Palembang city is located in the Asian Monsoon area, the ENSO phenomenon does not significantly affect rainfall variability in Palembang city.

Abstract

This research was carried out to find out the dynamics of climate change in the Bangka Belitung Islands, by utilizing BMKG observer station data at Depati Meteorological Station, starting in 1981 until 2022 that the official obtained from the BMKG website online. This research was conducted at the Education laboratory of FKIP Physics University of Sriwijaya. The research method used is secondary data research with a quantitative approach. Data analysis was used using the RClimDex application with the Expert Team on Climate Change Detection and Indices (ETCCDI) rules. Trend analysis was carried out with non-pithelmetry statistical tests Man-Kendall and Sens tests. The temperature indexes experience significant trends, which indicates that the longer the temperature in the Bangka Belitung Islands will increase.

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this study was to describe the basic science process skills of the students of SMP Negeri 2 Pagaralam City. The study used a dominant-less dominant design with purposive sampling technique. The research was conducted at SMP Class VIII with a population of all class VIII students at SMP Negeri 2 Kota Pagaralam. The sample used was 18 students of class VIII at SMP Negeri 2 Pagaralam City. The results of the research conducted showed that: (1) grade VIII students at SMP Negeri 2 Pagaralam City on average had basic science process skills at a moderate level in solving questions using a valid instrument, namely the Test of Basic Process Skill (BAPS) as many as 36 questions. science process skills (2) student achievement for each indicator, namely observation by 65%, communication by 61%, clarification by 58%, measurement by 27%, prediction by 32%, and inference by 57%. Keywords: science process skills, test of basic process skills (BAPS) Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan keterampilan proses sains dasar siswa SMP Negeri 2 Pagaralam Kota. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain dominan-kurang dominan dengan teknik purposive sampling. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMP Kelas VIII dengan populasi seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 2 Kota Pagaralam. Sampel yang digunakan adalah 18 siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 2 Kota Pagaralam. Hasil penelitian yang dilakukan menunjukkan bahwa: (1) siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 2 Kota Pagaralam rata-rata memiliki keterampilan proses sains dasar pada tingkat sedang dalam menyelesaikan soal dengan menggunakan instrumen yang valid yaitu Tes Keterampilan Proses Dasar (BAPS) sebanyak 36 pertanyaan. keterampilan proses sains (2) prestasi belajar siswa pada masing-masing indikator yaitu observasi sebesar 65%, komunikasi sebesar 61%, klarifikasi sebesar 58%, pengukuran sebesar 27%, prediksi sebesar 32%, dan inferensi sebesar 57%.  Kata kunci: keterampilan proses sains, tes keterampilan proses dasar (BAPS)DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpmipa/v24i3.pp584-593

Abstract

Abstract: Hybrid classes is combination of face-to-face learning and online learning, where some students attend physical classes while other take lessons online. This research aims to produce a reflective micro-learning model in hybrid classes that is valid, practical and effective for prospective Physics teachers. modifications to the Plomp model produced reflective Micro Teaching tools based on hybrid classes in the form of RPS, SAP, teaching materials and assessment instruments. Based on the N-Gain value in the Pre-Test and Post-test results, the Offline learning mode is 0.0010 (0.1%) and Online is 0.0392 (3.92%) Judging from the N-Gain value category and Effectiveness Interpretation Category means both learning modes are in the low and ineffective category. Online learning using Phet Colorado media has a greater N-Gain value so it can be concluded that the online learning mode using Phet Colorado is more effective than the offline learning mode using equipment in the Physics Laboratory. Keywords: reflective micro learning, hybrid classes, micro teaching Abstrak: Kelas hibrida mengacu pada kombinasi pembelajaran tatap muka dan pembelajaran daring, di mana sebagian siswa hadir di kelas fisik sementara siswa lainnya mengikuti pelajaran secara daring. Penelitian ini bertujuan menghasilkan model pembelajaran mikro reflektif pada kelas hybrid yang valid, praktis, dan efektif untuk calon guru Fisika. Penelitian pengembangan dengan modifikasi model Plomp menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran Micro Teaching reflektif berbasis kelas hybrid berupa RPS, SAP, bahan ajar dan instrumen penilaian. Berdasarkan nilai N-Gain pada hasil Pre-Test dan Post test moda pembelajaran Luring adalah 0,0010 (0,1%) dan Daring adalah 0,0392 (3,92%) Dilihat dari kategori nilai N-Gain dan Kategori Tafsiran Efektivitas N-Gain maka kedua moda pembelajaran berada pada kategori rendah dan tidak efektif. pembelajaran Daring dengan menggunakan media Phet Colorado memiliki nilai N-Gain yang lebih besar sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa moda pembelajaran daring dengan menggunan Phet Colorado lebih efektif dibandingkan dengan moda pembelajaran luring dengan menggunakan peralatan pada Laboratorium Fisika.  Kata kunci: mikro reflektif, kelas hybrid, pembelajaran mikro DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpmipa/v24i3.pp710-716

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) ini bertujuan untuk membentuk karakter tangguh iklim melalui pelatihan coding berbasis edukasi lingkungan di SMA Muhammadiyah Tubohan. Kegiatan difokuskan pada peningkatan pemahaman guru dan siswa mengenai isu perubahan iklim serta integrasi teknologi digital dalam pembelajaran. Sebanyak 15 guru dan 30 siswa mengikuti pelatihan yang mencakup pembuatan animasi edukatif menggunakan Scratch dan Python sederhana. Hasil pre-test menunjukkan bahwa hanya 26,7% peserta memahami keterkaitan antara teknologi dan edukasi lingkungan. Setelah pelatihan, pemahaman meningkat menjadi 90% berdasarkan hasil post-test, menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan sebesar 63,3%. Sebanyak 80% peserta berhasil menyelesaikan proyek animasi bertema iklim, dan 93,3% menyatakan kegiatan ini menumbuhkan kepedulian terhadap dampak aktivitas manusia terhadap lingkungan. Sementara itu, 86,7% guru merasa lebih siap mengintegrasikan isu iklim dalam pembelajaran. Kegiatan ini memberikan kontribusi positif dalam menumbuhkan budaya sadar iklim yang berbasis data dan teknologi di sekolah. PkM ini diharapkan menjadi model pembinaan karakter lingkungan berkelanjutan yang dapat diterapkan secara luas di institusi pendidikan lainnya.

Abstract

One factor that significantly affects rainfall in Indonesia, especially in Palembang City, is the El-Nino Southern Oscillation (ENSO). This study aims to determine how big the correlation is and when the highest correlation occurs between the Nino 3.4 Index and rainfall during the 2001-2020 period. The stages of analysis carried out to carry out this study are as follows: 1) downloading daily rainfall data for 20 years, 2) processing the raw data to make it homogeneous, and 3) correlation analysis to find out when the highest correlation occurs between rainfall and the Nino 3.4 Index. The results show that the highest correlation occurs in September at -0.524, August at -0.481, and October at -0.439. The influence of the Nino 3.4 Index produces a negative relationship. If the Nino 3.4 Index increases, it will affect the maximum temperature at the sea surface so that rainfall will decrease and cause drought. The results obtained can also be used as a prediction or forecast of the inflow of rainfall and the length of the rainy season.

Abstract

Interstellar exploration faces fundamental challenges due to the time dilation effects of Einstein's theory of relativity. This review presents a comprehensive analysis of the principle of time dilation, implications for interstellar missions, as well as cutting-edge technologies that utilize this principle. The Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method with PRISMA approach was applied, resulting in 42 relevant articles that met the inclusion criteria. The review results show that: (1) the effects of time dilation pose significant challenges in interstellar mission planning, particularly in the aspects of navigation, communication, and crew biology; (2) the development of cutting-edge technologies such as the Breakthrough Starshot relativistic vehicle, high-precision atomic clocks, and autonomous AI systems offer innovative solutions to overcome these challenges; (3) the integration of relativity understanding with these advanced technologies opens up new opportunities to realize interstellar exploration in the coming decades. These findings confirm that although time dilation is a major obstacle, the development of revolutionary technologies can turn it into a supporting factor in the realization of interstellar missions.

Abstract

Abstrak: Keterampilan guru SMAN 1 Indralaya dalam membuat alat energi terbarukan masih perlu ditingkatkan dan minimnya ketersediaan alat peraga dan penyimpanan alat yang perlu disediakan. Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan guru dalam membuat alat peraga energi baru terbarukan terintegrasi Internet of Things (IoT). Metode pengabdian dilakukan dengan kegiatan pendampingan terkait pembuatan alat peraga energi angin, air, dan sel surya yang terintegrasi IoT. Mitra kegiatan ini merupakan guru SMAN 1 Indralaya yang terdiri dari 17 guru yang berlatarbelakang guru matematika, fisika, biologi, geografi dan teknologi informasi. Kegiatan ini dievaluasi berdasarkan dengan menggunakan lembar observasi terdiri tiga aspek keterampilan yaitu merangkai peralatan, menjalankan program, dan memadu rangkaian dan program. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian masyakarat menunjukkan guru telah terampil membuat alat peraga energi terbarukan terintegrasi IoT dengan kategori sangat baik 41,67%, baik 50%, dan cukup baik 8,33%. Dengan kegiatan ini diharapkan guru-guru SMAN 1 Indralaya semakin terampil membuat alat peraga sehingga siswa semakin termotivasi, kreatif, dan inovatif dalam mengikuti pembelajaran.Abstract: The skills of SMAN 1 Indralaya teachers in making renewable energy props still need to be improved and the lack of availability of props and storage of props that need to be provided. This community service aims to improve teachers' skills in creating new renewable energy teaching props integrated with the Internet of Things (IoT). The service method is carried out with mentoring activities related to making IoT-integrated wind, water and solar cell energy props. The partner of this activity is SMAN 1 Indralaya teachers consisting of 17 teachers with backgrounds in mathematics, physics, biology, geography and information technology. This activity is evaluated based on using an observation sheet consisting of three aspects of skills, namely assembling equipment, running programs, and integrating assembling equipment and programs. The results of community service activities show that teachers have been skilled at making IoT-integrated new renewable energy props with the categories very good 41.67%, good 50%, and quite good 8.33%. With this activity, it is hoped that SMAN 1 Indralaya teachers will become more skilled at making props so that students will be more motivated, creative, and innovative in learning.

Abstract

Perubahan tutupan lahan merupakan faktor penting dalam studi perubahan iklim global, terutama dipicu oleh aktivitas antropogenik. Dalam dua dekade terakhir, teknologi Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) telah berkembang sebagai alat efektif untuk pemantauan spasial perubahan tutupan lahan dengan akurasi tinggi. Penelitian ini bertujuan memberikan tinjauan sistematis mengenai pemanfaatan teknologi laser pada LiDAR dalam konteks pemantauan perubahan tutupan lahan yang relevan dengan studi perubahan iklim. Pendekatan Systematic Literature Review (SLR) digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi tren penelitian, metode yang digunakan, serta kontribusi LiDAR dalam estimasi parameter lingkungan seperti biomassa, stok karbon, dan model elevasi digital. Tinjauan ini mencakup publikasi dari tahun 2015 hingga 2024. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa LiDAR memiliki keunggulan dalam penetrasi kanopi vegetasi dan estimasi biomassa dengan akurasi tinggi (90–95%). Selain itu, integrasi LiDAR dengan data multispektral dan kecerdasan buatan (AI) memperluas kemampuannya dalam pemantauan lingkungan. Temuan ini diperoleh dari analisis literatur yang mencakup berbagai konteks aplikasi, seperti program REDD+, mitigasi bencana, dan validasi laporan emisi karbon nasional, terutama di wilayah tropis seperti Amazon dan Kalimantan. Dengan demikian, LiDAR merupakan teknologi utama dalam pengamatan bumi yang memadukan dimensi spasial dan temporal, sehingga mampu memberikan data yang presisi dan kontinu untuk mendukung kajian perubahan iklim, dinamika tutupan lahan, dan isu-isu lingkungan lainnya secara berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Compton scattering has emerged as a promising advancement in X-ray medical imaging, offering enhanced spatial resolution and diagnostic precision compared to conventional techniques. This study employs a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) to evaluate the contributions of Compton scattering technologies in improving imaging performance. Forty peer-reviewed articles were selected from six major databases including Google Scholar, Scopus, PubMed, Web of Science, ScienceDirect, and arXiv based on predefined inclusion criteria. The review identifies three main technological approaches which are Compton cameras, inverse Compton X-ray sources, and Compton scattering tomography. Recent innovations in image reconstruction, particularly using deep learning and convolutional neural networks, have significantly improved image quality, reduced noise, and enhanced computational efficiency. These findings underscore Compton scattering’s clinical potential, especially in soft tissue visualization and early lesion detection. This paper provides a detailed overview of current progress and strategic pathways in the development of Compton based imaging systems towards their clinical application.
