Abstract

This study focused on developing student worksheet (SW) based on philosophy on the topic of matrix operations, including an overview of its effect on students' conceptual understanding abilities of grade XI at Senior High School (SMA in Bahasa) IT Bina Ilmi Palembang. It discussed how the student worksheet produced could be valid, practical, and had potential effects. The method used was development research consisting of preliminary, prototyping and assessment phase stages. This student worksheet consisted of the history of the matrix (ontology), matrix operation procedures (epistemology) and implementation of the matrix (axiology). The results showed that the validity of the student worksheet amounted to 84.1% with a valid category and could be used with minor revisions. The practicality score at the small group stage was 87.8% with a very practical category. Statistical results showed that there was an increase in the average score of a significant test result of 59.06. This showed that there was a positive effect from the use of philosophy-based SW on students' conceptual understanding. Based on these results, the philosophy-based student worksheet developed was categorized as valid, practical, and effective in improving students' conceptual understanding ability on matrix material.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkapkan etnomatematika di Jambi Kota Seberang. Penelitian ini menggunakan etnografi dan hasil observasi sebagai sumber data. Masyarakat menggunakan konsep matematika yang lebih detail pada bangunan Gentala Arasy. Bangunan ini merepresentasikan berbagai macam bentuk geometri. Bagian bawah berbentuk balok, bagian tengah berbentuk prisma segi delapan, bagian atas berbentuk silinder dan puncaknya berbentuk separuh elipsoida. Gentala Arasy dapat dijadikan sebagai referensi untuk sumber belajar dalam pembelajaran matematika di Sekolah. Kata Kunci: Etnomatematika, Budaya Masyarakat Jambi Kota Seberang ABSTRACT This study aims to explore ethnomathematics in Jambi Kota Seberang. This study used ethnograph and observation result as data resource. Jambinese built Gentala Arasy which represent various geometry objects. The bottom part is a cuboid, the middle part is an octagonal prism, the upper part is a cylinder, and the highest part is a semi ellipsoide. It is recommended to use Gentala Arasy as reference to learn mathematics. Keywords: Ethnomathematics, Jambi Kota Seberang culture.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kajian pendidikan matematika yang berhubungan dengan etnomatematika pada rumah adat ogan Komering Ulu di Provinsi Sumatera Selatan. Seperti halnya dengan kota-kota besar di Indonesia yang mempunyai budaya beragam, Ogan Komering Ulu mempunyai ragam kekayaan sejarah dan budaya yang sangat menakjubkan. Salah satu peninggalan tersebut adalah arsitektur tradisional rumah ogan komering ulu. Beberapa rumah tradisional tersebut telah berumur lebih dari 50 tahun serta menyimpan nilai sejarah, budaya dan arsitektur yang belum sepenuhnya terungkap dengan jelas. Rumah ogan komering ulu mempunyai bangunan tipe spesifik yaitu limas, kemudian ada beberapa motif hiasan rumah atau ukiran yang berbentuk geometri. Kata kunci: etnomatematika, rumah adat, geometri. ABSTRACT This is a literature study of mathematics education related to ethnomatematics in traditional house of Komering Ulu in southern sumatera province. Like the other big cities in indonesia that have diverse culture, Ogan Komering Ulu also has an incredible variety of historical and cultural riches. One such relic is the traditional architecture of the house ogan komering ulu. Some of the traditional houses are over 50 years old and store historical, cultural and architectural values that have not been fully revealed. Rumah ogan komering ulu has a specific type of building that is pyramid, then there are some motifs of home decoration or engraving in the form of geometry. Abstract

The purpose of this study is to produce students' learning trajectories in studying addition and subtraction of fractional numbers. The operation of adding and splitting fractional numbers is one of the materials that must be mastered by elementary school students. The learning approach used is the Indonesian Realistic Mathematics Education (PMRI) approach with the context of the Watervang dam. The use of the Watervang dam context is used as a means to apply the concept of addition and subtraction of fractional numbers to real problems. His research uses the validation studies type design research method. The subjects of the study were six grade IV students of SD IT An-Nida Lubuklinggau City. This research produces a learning trajectory (LT) which contains a series of learning activities that help students understand the concepts of addition and subtraction of fractional numbers. Based on the results of the study, it was found that the learning trajectory using the context of the Watervang dam can help students develop an understanding of the concept of addition and subtraction of fractional numbers.

Abstract

Mathematical concepts sometimes arise naturally through the culture of a particular community. Mathematics with cultural nuances (ethnomathematics) will contribute greatly to learning mathematics. Ethnomathematics can be used to make it easier for students to learn through a cultural approach. This research aims to: 1) Find out what mathematical concepts are found in the Purun craft of Geronggang Island.  2) Find out what philosophical values are present in the Purun craft of Geronggang Island.  3) Find out how junior high school mathematics learning can be implemented within the context of ethnomathematics in the Purun craft of Geronggang Island. In research data collection, researchers are directly involved in the data collection process through interviews, observation, and documentation. Data was analyzed by carrying out data reduction, data presentation, and data exploration. Variants of shapes and types of Geronggang Island purun crafts contain several aspects of mathematics on geometric material.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of web-based teaching materials about "我的家人"(wǒ de jiā rén, my family)in Mandarin subject. This research employed a mixture of quantitative and qualitative research methods with the Alessi & Trollip development model of planning, design, and development. The subjects of this study were 37 students of management major  at  MDP  University. The  trial  design  in  this  study  used a  one-group  pretest  and posttestdesign. This  research's  datacollection  techniques  are  interviews,  observations,  tests,  and questionnaires.  The  researchers utilizedinterviews,  observations,  tests,  and  questionnaires to analyzethe data. The research analysison the development of teaching materials can be described as: (1) its validity has been tested after being tested through 3 experts carried out in stages, with an  assessment of  93.33%.  (2) its  practicality has  been tested  on threestudents byfilling  out  a questionnaire. Itis obtained an efficient evaluation(91.66%) for each assessor. Thisweb-based teaching material can be used as online collaborative learningby getting an efficient assessment. (3) effectively increaseslearning outcomes between the pretest and posttestscores. In the pretest,the score was dominated in the very poor category, while in the posttest,the score was dominated in the good enough category. Itwas considered effective,reflected in the N-gain score of 56.49% in the medium category

Abstract

The aims of this research are: 1) To describe the results of ethnomathematics exploration in the form of philosophical meaning contained in design; 2) Produce ethnomathematics-based LKPD on the cultural heritage of Kapitan Village houses in Palembang that is valid and practical; 3) Measuring the potential effect of ethnomathematics-based LKPD on junior high school mathematics learning outcomes. This research uses ethnographic research methods to describe the results of ethnomathematics exploration in the form of philosophical meaning contained in the design of the houses of Kampung Kapitan Palembang. Furthermore, the results of the ethnomathematics exploration of the Kapitan Village House Cultural Heritage will be made into teaching materials in the form of ethnomathematics-based LKPD. At this stage the type of research used is design research with the type of development studies. This research produces a philosophical meaning that is contained in the Kapitan Village House Cultural Heritage, especially in rectangular shapes (rectangles, rhombuses and trapezoids. After being integrated into ethnomathematics-based LKPD, it shows that 84% of students who have completed mathematics learning are in the effective category. Abstract

This study aims to conduct a literature review related to fractional learning with the Indonesian Realistic Mathematics Education (PMRI) approach. The method used is Systematic Literature Review (SLR). The articles that were used as a source of review in this study were 9 articles related to the application and development of the PMRI approach to the material of fractions in the period 2017-2021. Articles come from reputable journals and are indexed by sinta and proceedings are indexed by scopus. From the results of the review, it was found that there were problems related to learning outcomes, understanding concepts, and the learning process on the material of fractions. The application and development of learning with the PMRI approach has a positive impact on the development of students' conceptual understanding of the fractional number material. Through the PMRI approach, students can develop fun learning situations, because learning activities are oriented to everyday concrete situations. The use of concrete media gives a good contribution in developing students' conceptual understanding of the fraction material. The developed learning trajectory can lay an important foundation in helping the development of the concept of fractions.

Abstract

This research aims to conduct a literary review regarding corner learning using Indonesian Realistic Mathematics Education (PMRI). The method used is Systematic Literature Review (SLR). The data in this research is information on learning angles using (PMRI) taken from selected articles. The articles used as data sources in this research are 6 articles with the criteria being (1) the content being taught is about angles, (2) using the PMRI approach, (3) using the design research method, (4) the articles come from reputable and indexed journals. Sinta and Scopus. Based on the results of the study, it was found that (1) the initial problem in the research was students' misconceptions about the concept of angles, (2) the use of the PMRI context can bridge students in understanding the context of angles, (3) learning activities produce local instructional theory (LIT), (4) research results state that learning becomes more meaningful because students learn from real situations.

Abstract

Abstract. In preparing the learning process in the classroom, teachers must prepare learning tools. Learning tools consist of a syllabus, lesson plans, student worksheets, and assessments in the form of tests and non-tests. This service activity aims to provide training and the application of research related to the development of learning tools for middle school mathematics MGMP teachers, and to find out the response of high school Mathematics MGMP teachers to the assistance in developing learning tools provided. This community service implementation model is a mentoring model to improve teacher professionalism in preparing teaching and learning activities, especially in preparing learning tools, the need for basic understanding of theory, and its application. The number of participants who attended this activity was 33 mathematics teachers from Musi Rawas district. Overall, the implementation of this service activity went smoothly without any significant obstacles, only some participants were left from the Zoom meeting when the activity was carried out in sync due to signal interference. The results of the satisfaction response questionnaire analysis get positive results Abstrak. Dalam mempersiapkan proses pembelajaran di kelas, para guru harus menyiapkan perangkat pembelajaran. Perangkat pembelajaran terdiri dari silabus, rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran, lembar kerja peserta didik, serta lembar penilaian baik berupa tes maupun non tes. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pelatihan dan penerapan penelitian yang berkaitan dengan pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran bagi guru – guru MGMP matematika sekolah menengah, dan mengetahui respon guru -guru MGMP Matematika sekolah menengah terhadap pendampingan pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran yang diberikan. Model pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah model pendampingan untuk meningkatkan profesionalisme guru dalam mempersiapkan kegiatan belajar mengajar, terutama dalam menyusun perangkat pembelajaran, di mana diperlukan pemahaman dasar teori serta pengaplikasiannya. Jumlah peserta yang menghadiri kegiatan ini sebanyak 33 orang guru matematika dari kabupaten Musi Rawas. Secara keseluruhan, pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian ini berjalan lancar tanpa ada hambatan yang berarti, hanya saja terdapat beberapa peserta yang terkeluar dari Zoom meeting saat pelaksanaan kegiatan berlangsung secara synchronous dikarenakan gangguan signal. Hasil analisis angket respon kepuasan mendapatkan hasil yang positif
