Abstract

Dalam industri penerbangan yang makin kompetitif, pemilihan maskapai penerbangan oleh pengguna jasa tidak lagi hanya didasarkan pada kebutuhan perjalanan, tetapi dipengaruhi oleh berbagai faktor penting, seperti tarif tiket, kualitas layanan, dan brand image. Persaingan yang ketat di sektor perjalanan udara mendorong maskapai penerbangan untuk terus memberi peningkatan layanan mereka dan membangun brand image yang kuat untuk menarik dan mempertahankan pelanggan. Lebih jauh, tarif tiket tetap menjadi faktor penting, terutama dengan makin tingginya kesadaran konsumen akan nilai dan efektivitas biaya. Konsumen kini lebih selektif dalam memilih maskapai penerbangan, tidak hanya mempertimbangkan tarif tetapi juga nilai tambah dan pengalaman yang ditawarkan. Penelitian ini tujuannya untuk mengkaji dampak tarif, kualitas layanan, dan brand image terhadap minat pengguna bandara dalam memilih maskapai penerbangan. Temuan penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberi kontribusi terhadap literatur tentang pemasaran transportasi udara dan memberi masukan strategis kepada maskapai penerbangan dan operator bandara dalam merumuskan kebijakan dan strategi pemasaran yang efektif dan berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Kepuasan penumpang sangat penting bagi keberhasilan industry penerbangan, memengaruhi citra merek, loyalitas, dan profitabilitas. Dengan meningkatnya ekspektasi layanan, identifikasi faktor penentu kepuasan menjadi strategis. Artikel ini memiliki tujuan untuk meneliti bagaimana kualitas pelayanan, fasilitas di bandara, dan on time performance mempengaruhi kepuasan penumpang. Studi ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan cara meninjau berbagai literatur, serta menganalisis teori dan pengaruh antar variabel dari berbagai karya ilmiah yang relevan. Hasil tinjauan pustaka menunjukkan bahwa kualitas pelayanan, on time performance, dan fasilitas bandara secara signifikan memengaruhi kepuasan penumpang. Kualitas pelayanan (terutama daya tanggap, jaminan, empati) berkontribusi nyata, sementara pengaruh bukti fisik dan keandalan bervariasi. Dampak fasilitas bandara bervariasi tergantung lokasi dan kondisi, dengan fasilitas bersih dan fungsional menjadi penting. On time performance adalah faktor krusial yang mencerminkan keandalan maskapai dan sangat memengaruhi kepuasan penumpang. Peningkatan kualitas pelayanan, fasilitas yang memadai, dan pencapaian on time performance yang tinggi merupakan faktor kunci dalam meningkatkan kepuasan penumpang. Ketiga elemen ini saling terkait dan esensial untuk membangun hubungan positif serta memastikan keberlanjutan dan keunggulan kompetitif dalam industri penerbangan.

Abstract

Information media within the airport environment play a crucial role in educating passengers about baggage regulations, thereby supporting aviation safety and security. However, the effectiveness of such media still requires evaluation, particularly at Minangkabau International Airport. This study aims to analyze the extent to which information media functions as an educational tool for passengers. The research employed a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative methods through observation and interviews. Quantitative data were analyzed using SPSS software through validity and reliability tests, simple linear regression, and hypothesis testing. The results show that information media have a significant influence on passengers' understanding of baggage regulations, indicated by a β (beta) value of 0.943 and a significance level of p < 0.001. Qualitative findings suggest that the current information media is still suboptimal due to its lack of visual appeal, poor placement, and outdated content. Passengers were more responsive to interactive media such as educational videos and digital infographics. Therefore, a more effective communication strategy is needed by utilizing digital media that is engaging, visual, and easily accessible. This study is expected to serve as a reference in the development of more efficient and educational information media within the airport environment.

Abstract

The increase in the number of passengers at Sultan Thaha Airport has triggered the need for faster and more accurate information services. One of the digital information systems used is the Flight Information Display System (FIDS), which is managed through an internal website by information officers. This research aims to analyze the factors that cause FIDS to not provide maximum service, identify features that need to be added, and examine the integration of Flight Information Display System (FIDS) with Public Address System (PAS) and Automatic Announcement System (AAS). This research uses a qualitative descriptive method with data collection techniques through observation, documentation, and interviews. The results showed that the main obstacles lie in data input errors, delays in information updates, less legible FIDS displays, and unstrategic screen locations. In addition, the absence of integration between FIDS and PAS makes information not delivered simultaneously. In conclusion, the FIDS system needs to be improved through officer training, development of real-time dashboard features, and automatic integration with PAS and AAS to improve information services that are fast, accurate, and user-friendly.

Abstract

Personel Pertolongan Kecelakaan Penerbangan dan Pemadam Kebakaran (PKP‑PK) memiliki peran vital dalam menangani keadaan darurat di lingkungan bandar udara. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji peran latihan rutin (drill) dan kebugaran jasmani personel dalam meningkatkan kinerja serta efektivitas tanggap darurat. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi literatur dengan menelaah berbagai artikel dan jurnal ilmiah yang relevan. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa latihan rutin yang terstruktur dan berkelanjutan mampu meningkatkan keterampilan teknis, kecepatan respons, serta koordinasi tim dalam menghadapi situasi darurat. Sementara itu, kebugaran jasmani yang optimal terbukti mendukung daya tahan, ketepatan, serta kestabilan mental personel saat menjalankan tugas berat di lapangan. Kedua faktor tersebut saling melengkapi dan berkontribusi signifikan terhadap keberhasilan penanganan keadaan darurat di bandara. Oleh karena itu, pelatihan fisik dan simulasi operasional perlu terus ditingkatkan, disertai dengan evaluasi berkala untuk menjaga kualitas kesiapsiagaan personel. Penelitian ini diharapkan menjadi dasar untuk pengembangan program pelatihan dan kebijakan peningkatan kualitas SDM PKP‑PK di masa depan.

Abstract

In the era of digital transformation, optimizing airport operational monitoring systems has become a crucial need to enhance efficiency and safety. One essential aspect of ground operations is Ground Support Equipment (GSE), which ensures the smooth execution of aircraft activities on the ground. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of a digital-based GSE data collection system in supporting the monitoring performance of the Apron Movement Control (AMC) at Juanda International Airport, Surabaya. The research applied a descriptive qualitative approach through observation, interviews, and documentation techniques. The findings reveal that the existing manual system causes delayed data access, increases the risk of recording errors, and complicates the validation process of operational vehicle legality. Results also indicate that implementing digitalization via QR code-based applications, monitoring dashboards, and automatic notifications can accelerate decision-making processes, strengthen inter-unit coordination, and improve data accuracy and compliance with regulations. In conclusion, GSE digitalization significantly enhances AMC monitoring effectiveness and is highly recommended as a modern monitoring model for Indonesian airports.

Abstract

Jurnal ini menganalisis tata kelola antrean di area Passenger On Ticket System di Bandar Udara Adi Soemarmo Boyolali. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaturan alur antrean di area POTS dan juga bagaimana mengatasi kepadatan antrean di area tersebut. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif, dengan teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi langsung terhadap alur penumpang di area POTS, wawancara dengan petugas Terminal Service Officer (TSO) di Bandara Adi Soemarmo, serta dokumentasi berupa foto, data jumlah penumpang, dan referensi dokumen pendukung lainnya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengelolaan antrean di area POTS masih mengalami kendala, ditandai dengan antrean panjang dan terganggunya kenyamanan penumpang domestik saat terjadi kepadatan penumpang umroh. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan strategi berupa pemisahan jalur antrean antara penumpang domestik dan umroh serta penerapan pola antrean zig-zag dengan penambahan queue line. Kesimpulannya, pengaturan alur antrean di area POTS masih mengalami kepadatan. Dengan penerapan strategi tersebut, diharapkan kualitas pelayanan dan kenyamanan penumpang di area POTS dapat meningkat, serta mengurangi risiko keterlambatan pada jam-jam sibuk.

Abstract

Aviation safety is a crucial aspect that must be safeguarded, particularly in addressing the potential risk of fires in airport areas. To enhance personnel preparedness, an intensive training program on foam-based fire extinguishing agent testing was conducted by faculty members of the Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting (ARFF) Study Program, Indonesian Aviation Polytechnic of Curug, in collaboration with the Airport Authority Office Region V Makassar. The training aimed to equip ARFF personnel with both theoretical understanding and practical skills in evaluating foam quality to ensure its effective use in firefighting operations. The program employed a comprehensive approach, integrating theoretical lectures, demonstrations, simulations, and hands-on practice in testing various parameters of fire extinguishing agents. The outcomes highlighted that key parameters—such as expansion ratio, drainage time, and resistance to fuel contamination play a significant role in determining firefighting effectiveness. Furthermore, the importance of regular equipment maintenance and the utilization of the latest testing technologies was strongly emphasized throughout the training. Through this community service initiative, it is expected that the competence of ARFF personnel will be substantially enhanced, enabling them to respond more effectively to airport fire emergencies, thereby reinforcing the overall national aviation safety system.

Abstract

This research aims to develop an emergency reporting website to enhance disaster response effectiveness and data accuracy in the watchroom at Yogyakarta International Airport. The system utilizes QR codes to enable first reporters to submit incident reports in real time, which are immediately received by watchroom officers and the ARFF unit. Key features include a reporting form, automatic notifications, location mapping, and an integrated monitoring dashboard. The research applies the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) to ensure the system is responsive, secure, and user-friendly. Abstract

The purpose of this article is to build hypotheses of influence between variables and present a comprehensive synthesis of previous research on factors that influence passenger satisfaction, particularly service quality and waiting room facilities at airports. The method used is a qualitative literature review by analyzing ten relevant national and international journals. Data were collected through searching scientific journal databases using appropriate keywords, then selected based on eligibility criteria such as topic relevance, year of publication, and publication quality. Data analysis was conducted using thematic synthesis techniques, which grouped previous research findings into main themes, compared results between studies, and identified patterns of relationships between variables. The results showed that service quality has a positive and significant effect on passenger satisfaction, waiting room facilities have a positive and significant effect on passenger satisfaction, and the two factors simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on passenger satisfaction. These findings confirm that service quality and waiting room facilities are the main pillars in creating passenger satisfaction, so airport managers need to continue to improve and evaluate these two aspects on an ongoing basis
