Abstract

This study aims to determine the representation of the father's role as a single parent in the short film "Mana Janji Ayah." The study used a qualitative method with Roland Barthes's semiotic analysis focusing on three layers of meaning: denotation, connotation, and myth. The analysis was conducted on scenes depicting the father's role, including as protector, patient, breadwinner, caretaker, and bringer of happiness to children. The results show that the representation of fathers is not limited to financial functions but also encompasses emotional and moral roles, such as affection, responsibility, and sacrifice in raising children. The film depicts a single father who works as a bajaj driver to support his children after the death of his wife, despite often facing economic constraints and environmental stigma. This representation is conveyed through visual and audio cues that reinforce the message of a father's struggle and sincerity. This study confirms that film can be a medium that reflects social reality, particularly the complexity of the role of single fathers, which is often overlooked in society.

Abstract

Di era digital yang berkembang pesat seperti yang kita lihat sekarang, media tradisional telah mengalami perubahan yang signifikan. Salah satu fenomena berkembangnya media hiburan yang menarik perhatian,  adalah perilaku “Virtual YouTuber”. Metode yang digunakan yaitu metode penelitian kualitatif. Metode penelitian kualitatif adalah suatu metode yang digunakan untuk meneliti pada kondisi obyek yang alamiah, dimana peneliti adalah sebagai instrumen, teknik pengumpulan data melalui analisis yang bersifat kualitatif dan lebih menekan pada makna. Tujuan pembuatan jurnal ini yaitu meneliti bagaimana dan mengapa Hololive Indonesia bisa berkembang secara pesat hingga sekarang dan bagaimana peran dari humas atau Public Relations dapat membantu perkembangan Hololive di Indonesia. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa peran Public Relations sangatlah penting dan efektif, hal ini dibuktikan dengan berbagai macam strategi yang dilakukan agar Hololive Indonesia bisa menjadi agensi cabang terbesar di indonesia. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peran Public Relations merupakan kunci dari kesuksesan perkembangan Virtual Youtuber Hololive Di Indonesia dengan memberikan citra agensi yang bagus, branding setiap member yang memiliki keunikan masing-masing dan mengelola hubungan yang baik kepada penggemar dan bisa memperkuat brand Hololive di Indonesia

Abstract

With the development of new media, there is a great opportunity for society to become more involved in environmental issues. However, previous research still shows a significant gap: most studies focus on the use of social media as a source of information, whereas the mechanisms used by new media to shape significant engagement, from awareness to collective action, are not well understood. Additionally, as most research has been conducted in the context of developed countries, the dynamics of digital participation in developing countries, such as Indonesia, are less well represented. By contrast, the State of the Art (SOTA) shows a shift from linear communication models to patterns of “collaborative action” and “networked collaboration,” in which people work together through digital platforms using personalized stories, virtual communities, and citizen data. This study conducted a systematic literature review using a descriptive-qualitative approach. The Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) principles and environmental communication matrix theory were used in the screening process; the Theory of Planned Behavior, Affordances Platform, and Theory of Social Impact were combined to create a thematic analysis. The relationship between new media features, the way user interactions occur, and the emerging forms of environmental participation became the focus of the analysis. The synthesis results show that new media can function as a communication ecosystem that accelerates the dissemination of environmental information, strengthens social norms that support the environment, and expands participation—from symbolic actions, such as sharing content, to substantive actions, such as donations, reporting environmental conditions, digital campaigns, and community collaboration. However, significant challenges, such as disparities in digital literacy, algorithmic bias, information polarization, and the lack of online participation, leading to offline actions with real impact, were also found. To optimize the use of new media as a driver of sustainable environmental action, this study emphasizes that a more inclusive digital communication model, evidence-based content strategies, and cross-actor collaboration are necessary.

Abstract

Indonesia terkenal dengan banyaknya pahlawan daerah yang berhasil menumpas parapenjajah di bumi nusantara salahsatunya ada pahlawan cantik yang berasal dari Cirebon yakni bernama Nyai Mas Carik yang merupakan seorang putri cantik jelita dari Sultan Nuh di Kesultanan Pakungwati Cirebon. Pada awal abad 1490 Masehi, Nyai Mas Carik Pergi ke Kulon atau dalam bahasa Nasional pergi ke barat dengan upaya menyebarkan Agama Islam ke wilayah Banten dan Sekitarnya dimana masa itu Banten Sedang di kuasai oleh Kaisar Kubota yang berasal dari Jepang, dalam perjalanan Nyai Mas Carik Berangkat Menunggangi Ikan Talang, berbekal  Alquan dan Papan Nisan dengan didampingi Pengawalnya bernama Muhammad Idrus tujuan Nyai Mas Carik ke Daerah Kulon untuk menyebarkan agama islam, ilmu tauhid dan Syariah Islam. Mengusir Jepang dari Kulon. Nyai Mas Carik berhasil sampai ke daerah kulan Banten tepatnya di Karangantu, kedatangan Nyai Mas Carik tidak mendapatkan sambutan meriah saat itu di Kampung Kasubuhan sedang terjadi wabah penyakit barangsiapa yang meleawati dan menginjak ludah Nyai Mas Carik akan lumpuh dan konon katanya penyakit tersebut berasal dari Nyai Mas Carik sebagai seorang pendatang ternyata yang menyebarkan fitnah saat itu adalah para pribumi penghianat pribumi yag bekerja di bawah kepemimpinan Kaisar Kubota yang saat itu masih menguasai wilayah kulon.

Abstract

Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM) kerajinan bambu di Desa Sukasari, Kecamatan Tunjung Teja, memiliki potensi besar yang bersumber dari ketersediaan bahan baku lokal dan keterampilan masyarakat. Namun demikian, daya saing UMKM masih relatif rendah akibat keterbatasan diversifikasi produk, desain yang konvensional, serta belum optimalnya penerapan branding lokal. Program Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memperkuat daya saing UMKM kerajinan bambu melalui diversifikasi produk dan penguatan branding lokal. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan menggunakan pendekatan partisipatif yang meliputi identifikasi kebutuhan, pelatihan inovasi dan pengembangan desain produk, pendampingan pembuatan identitas merek lokal (logo, kemasan, dan narasi produk), serta pendampingan pemasaran dasar. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan variasi dan nilai estetika produk kerajinan bambu, meningkatnya pemahaman pelaku UMKM terhadap pentingnya branding, serta meningkatnya kemampuan pelaku usaha dalam memasarkan produk secara lebih profesional. Program ini juga mendorong pemanfaatan identitas lokal sebagai keunggulan kompetitif dalam memperluas akses pasar. Dengan demikian, penguatan diversifikasi produk dan branding lokal berkontribusi positif terhadap peningkatan daya saing dan keberlanjutan UMKM kerajinan bambu di Desa Sukasari, serta mendukung pengembangan ekonomi lokal berbasis potensi desa.

Abstract

The development of new media has opened up great opportunities for increased public participation in environmental issues. Previously, there was still a gap: studies only highlighted the use of social media as a channel for meaningful information, ranging from awareness to collective action, rather than as an agent of ecological change. SOTA indicates a shift from a linear communication model toward a connective action pattern, where individuals collaborate through digital platforms using personalized narratives and citizen data. The study method was descriptive-qualitative systematic literature review. The analysis reviewed the Environmental Communication Matrix theory: Thematic analysis was constructed by integrating the Theory of Planned Behavior, Social Impact Theory, and platform affordances frameworks. The analysis focused on the relationship between new media characteristics, user interaction dynamics, and pro-environmental engagement. The synthesis shows that new media can function as a communication ecosystem, strengthening pro-environmental movements and expanding symbolic participation, such as content sharing, to substantive action. The study emphasizes the need for inclusive communication models, evidence-based content strategies, and cross-actor collaboration to optimize the function of new media as a driver of sustainable environmental action.
