Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of the use of Wordwall multimedia on the learning outcomes of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) Khulafaur Rasyidin material in Integrated VII grade students at SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Medan. The method used is quantitative with a quasi-experimental approach, using a pretest-posttest design in the experimental group given learning with Wordwall multimedia and the control group with conventional media, namely Al-Islam books with a sample of 60 students. The research instrument was a 20-item multiple choice test that had been declared valid and reliable. Data analysis began with descriptive test, Shapiro-Wilk normality test, and Levene homogeneity test, which showed that the posttest data were not normally distributed and the variances were not uniform. Therefore, the Mann-Whitney U nonparametric test was used to test the hypothesis at a significance level of α = 0.05. The results showed that the use of Wordwall multimedia significantly improved students' learning outcomes. The average posttest score of the experimental group, which used Wordwall-based learning, increased from 67.17 to 88.00, showing a substantial improvement. In contrast, the control group that received conventional learning only increased from 57.50 to 71.00. Analysis using the Mann-Whitney U test revealed a U value of 232.50 and Z of -3.241, with p = 0.001. This shows that the difference in the improvement of learning outcomes between the two groups is significant (p < 0.05). With the mean rank of the experimental group's posttest reaching 37.75, much higher than the control group which was only 23.25, it can be concluded that Wordwall multimedia has a significant positive impact on Islamic Religious Education learning outcomes at SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Medan. The implication of this result shows that the application of technology in learning can improve the understanding of important concepts in Islamic education.

Abstract

The implementation of yellow books in the education curriculum can be problematic when an institution does not prioritize the quality of learning from the book. Research on the problem of yellow books is important to do considering its relevance to learning methods that emphasize mastery of foreign languages ​​and in-depth study of material directly from primary sources. Based on field observations, several significant obstacles were found: low active participation of students in the process of learning yellow books which has an impact on decreasing their motivation to study fiqh through this medium, minimal understanding of students on the basic sciences for studying yellow books, namely nahwu and shorof, the dominance of traditional learning approaches such as memorization and lecture methods that do not accommodate contemporary learning styles. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of fiqh learning using yellow books at MAS Al-Washliyah 1 Medan Area and Madrasah Aliyah Muallimin Univa.This study uses a qualitative-analytical method. This method aims to examine in depth various phenomena experienced by the research object as a whole, such as behavioral patterns, perspectives, motivation to act, and other aspects. The study was conducted through analysis using systematic and structured language, paying attention to certain natural contexts and using various natural methods. The implementation of fiqh learning with yellow books at MAS Al-Washliyah 1 Medan Area and MA Muallimin UNIVA Medan is guided by the Al-Jamiatul Al-Washliyah curriculum. This curriculum was prepared by the Al-Jamiatul Al-Washliyah Executive Board and stipulates ten religious subjects using yellow books, including fiqh lessons. For fiqh subjects, both madrasas use the book “Minhajjul Thalibin” written by Imam An-Nawawi. This book is used for all levels from class X to class XII with a systematic division of material.

Abstract

Rendahnya kompetensi profesional sebagian guru Pendidikan Agama Islam menjadi persoalan serius yang berdampak pada kualitas proses belajar mengajar, ketercapaian tujuan pendidikan agama, dan pembentukan karakter peserta didik. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menjelaskan secara deskriptif kompetensi profesional guru PAI di SMP Islam Al-Ulum Terpadu Medan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi. Adapun subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah Kepala Sekolah dan guru PAI di SMP Islam AL-Ulum Terpadu Medan. Prosedur pengambilan subjek penelitian menggunakan purposive sampling. Penelitian ini dilakukan di di SMP Islam AL-Ulum Terpadu Medan yang dilakukan pada 30 Februari 2024. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini melalui observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Proses analisis data dimulai dengan hasil observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Berdasarkan hasil wawancara yang dilakukan pada kepala sekolah dan juga guru PAI. Bahwa Guru PAI di SMP Islam Al-Ulum Terpadu Medan sudah memiliki guru yang kompeten dan juga profesional di bidangnya hal ini dilihat dari tingkat dan latar belakang pendidikan guru PAI. Adapun kegiatan yang dilakukan oleh sekolah dalam menunjang guru yang kompeten dan profesional ialah dengan mengadakan pelatihan, dan workshop baik dari kampus maupun dinas pendidikan dan juga pelaksanaan kegiatan program seperti tahunan dan semester. Profesional guru PAI di SMP Islam Al-Ulum Terpadu Medan dapat dilihat dari sertifikasi guru Profesional. Rekomendasi dari penelitian ini yaitu, sekolah perlu memperkuat program pelatihan berkelanjutan, menyediakan fasilitas pendukung, serta mendorong motivasi guru melalui penghargaan dan pembinaan rutin agar kompetensi profesional guru PAI semakin optimal.

Abstract

General Background: The ability to read the Qur'an correctly is a foundational competence for Muslim students, shaping both spiritual practice and moral development. Specific Background: However, many students, even in urban areas, struggle with tajwid and makhraj due to limited instructional time and varying support at home. Knowledge Gap: Research on the effectiveness of structured tahsin programs in non-Islamic, international-standard schools remains limited, particularly with a level-based approach. Aims: This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the Tahsin Program at SD Prestige Bilingual School Medan in improving students’ Qur'an reading skills. Results: Utilizing a phenomenological qualitative design, data from interviews, observations, and document analysis revealed that the implementation of talaqqi, level-based grouping, and interactive digital media significantly enhanced students’ reading fluency, tajwid accuracy, and confidence. Novelty: This study presents an innovative application of Islamic education within a non-Islamic institutional context, adapting traditional methods like talaqqi and murojaah to contemporary, multicultural learning environments. Implications: Findings suggest that a tailored, structured tahsin program can bridge academic and religious excellence, offering a replicable model for integrating Islamic learning in global educational settings.Highlight : The Tahsin Program significantly improves students' ability to read the Qur’an correctly, especially in tajwid and makhraj. A level-based system ensures personalized learning that matches students' current reading abilities. Abstract

Islamic education not only requires mastery of Islamic material but also good social skills, especially for prospective PAI (Islamic education) teachers who will become role models in society. In this context, campus preaching organizations play a strategic role in shaping the social competencies of leaders of LDK (campus preaching institution), particularly for PAI students. This research aims to determine the role of LDK Al-Izzah in shaping the social competencies of prospective PAI teachers, as well as to identify the supporting and inhibiting factors in the process of developing the personality competencies of prospective PAI teachers. This research was carried out using qualitative methods with a case study approach. The research subjects included the general chairman, general secretary, general treasurer, cadres, and alumni of LDK who have become PAI teachers. Data collection techniques in this study included observation, interviews, and documentation study. The results indicate that the role of LDK in shaping social competencies has been running quite well, although LDK has not yet provided. It can be concluded that the role of LDK in forming the social competence of Islamic Religious Education teachers is in the form of programs that have been designed such as mentoring, community service.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the process of internalizing Islamic ecotheological values through the school culture of Azzakiyah Islamic School in fostering students’ environmental care character. Employing a qualitative research method with a phenomenological approach, this research explores the lived experiences of teachers and students in undergoing the internalization process. Data collection techniques included in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The findings reveal that school culture plays a significant role as a medium of internalization, reflected in various activities such as project-based learning, outing classes, the 5R program, zero waste initiatives, and mentoring sessions. The internalization process occurs through three stages: value transformation, value transaction, and value transinternalization. These stages enable students not only to understand but also to internalize and practice ecotheological values in their daily lives. This process contributes to behavioral changes among students, including conserving energy, properly disposing of waste, and engaging in other environmentally responsible actions that reflect the indicators of an environmentally caring character. Highlights: Three-Stage Internalization: Values are instilled through transformation, transaction, and transinternalization. Cultural Practices: Activities like 5R, zero waste, and mentoring embed environmental responsibility. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan media pembelajaran e-learning berbasis web yang interaktif untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI), khususnya materi Sejarah Kebudayaan Islam (SKI) kelas V di UPT SDN 060932 Medan Amplas. Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah rendahnya efektivitas pembelajaran PAI akibat dominasi metode konvensional dan keterbatasan media pembelajaran. Penelitian menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) dengan pendekatan model ADDIE yang mencakup tahapan analisis, desain, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Produk yang dikembangkan berupa website edukatif berisi materi SKI tentang Khulafaur Rasyidin, disertai video pembelajaran, kuis interaktif, dan evaluasi online. Hasil validasi ahli menunjukkan tingkat kelayakan materi sebesar 81% dan desain media sebesar 100%. Uji kepraktisan oleh guru dan siswa menunjukkan skor antara 86% hingga 100%. Uji efektivitas melalui pretest dan posttest menghasilkan N-Gain sebesar 0,44 (kategori sedang), yang menunjukkan adanya peningkatan hasil belajar. Penelitian ini berkontribusi dalam menyediakan alternatif media pembelajaran berbasis teknologi yang sesuai dengan karakteristik generasi digital, serta dapat direplikasi untuk pengembangan mata pelajaran lainnya.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mendiskripsikan proses penguatan hafalan Al-Qur’an melalui penerapan metode talaqqi dan mudarasah di Ma’had tahfizh Al-Qur’an Nur Aisyah. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Temuan penelitian tersebut menunjukkan bahwa metode talaqqi diterapkan melalui tiga tahapan: persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi, sedangkan metode mudarasah melalui empat tahapan: perencanaan, halaqah, sorogan ustadz, dan evaluasi. Faktor pendukung metode talaqqi meliputi lingkungan belajar yang baik, motivasi dari pembimbing dan teman, serta fasilitas yang memadai. Hambatannya berupa kurangnya ketekunan dan rasa malas. Adapun metode mudarasah didukung oleh semangat dan kedisiplinan santri, peran pengurus, kehadiran pengawas, dan sistem absensi yang tertib. Hambatan utamanya adalah kurangnya persiapan hafalan dan tidak hadirnya partner simakan. Secara umum, kedua metode tersebut, khususnya talaqqi, terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan kualitas hafalan santri dan layak untuk terus dikembangkan dalam mencetak generasi penghafal Al-Qur’an yang unggul.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the process of internalizing Islamic character education values through the Pancasila Rahmatan Lil 'Alamin (P5RA) Student Profile Strengthening Project at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri Tebing Tinggi. This research is motivated by the phenomenon of low implementation of Islamic character among students even though the P5RA program has been implemented in various educational institutions. The research used a qualitative approach with phenomenological method. Data were obtained through interviews, observations, and documentation of the madrasah head, teachers, homeroom teachers, and students. The results showed that the internalized Islamic values include salimul 'akidah, shalihul 'ibadah, matinul khuluq, munazhzhamun fi syuunihi, and nafi'un lighoirihi. Internalization is carried out through contextual learning strategies, madrasah culture development, and extracurricular activities, with exemplary, habituation, and advice approaches. The main supporting factors for the success of internalization include the commitment of madrasah and parents, a religious environment, and adequate facilities. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factors include lack of understanding of the P5RA concept, time constraints, low student motivation, and lack of facilities and continuous evaluation. This study emphasizes the importance of collaboration, consistency of strategies, and strengthening evaluation in shaping students' Islamic character holistically and contextually.
