This research uses qualitative research methods with a case study approach to the program Takhaṣṣuṣ Qirāʾatul Kutub in Ma’had Zainul Umam located on Jalan Lapangan Pasar 15 Dusun VI Bandar Setia, Kecamatan Percut Sei Tuan, Kabupaten Deli Serdang, Province of North Sumatra. Data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation study. After that, data analysis is conducted through reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. Ensuring data validity using triangulation techniques. The research results show that the implementation of the program Takhaṣṣuṣ Qirāʾatul Kutub is structured from the daily activities of the students to the yellow book-based teaching schedule, which includes the internalization of Islamic education values through strategies of exemplary behavior, habituation, advice, discipline, supervision, and intensive attention. The process of value internalization is carried out in three stages: transformation, transaction, and trans-internalization of values, thereby having a lasting impact on the students, covering aspects of faith, worship, and morals. The supporting factors are the consistent implementation of the program, quality educators, a conducive learning environment, a structured and systematic learning system, support from parents and the community, and the strong determination of each student to become a better individual. The inhibiting factors are the external environment and negative peers, the limited duration of the program, and the student's inability to fully control themselves well.

Abstract

. Pedagogical competence is an essential skill that a teacher must have to effectively oversee the learning process, which encompasses comprehending student characteristics, planning, executing, assessing learning, and fostering student potential. In the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum at MIN 1 Medan, pedagogical competency is essential for the effective execution of innovative learning that addresses student needs. This study revealed that the pedagogical competency of Fiqh teachers at MIN 1 Medan necessitates enhancement, particularly regarding the integration of technology and the implementation of teaching methods that align with the Merdeka Curriculum. This research seeks to evaluate the level of pedagogical competency among Fiqh instructors and the challenges encountered in the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum. We employ a qualitative research methodology, utilizing data collection approaches such as observation, interviews, and documentation. The research findings reveal persistent weaknesses in the proficiency of technology and creative pedagogical methods, which impede the enhancement of the teaching and learning process. Abstract

The study aimed to examine the influence of teacher certification on the creativity of Islamic religious education. Pendidikan Agama, Islam (PAI), teachers in the teaching and learning process at SDN 18, Bilah Barat. A quantitative ex post facto design with descriptive analysis was employed to investigate the relationship between certification and teacher creativity. The population comprised six grade students and one certified PAI teacher. From this population, a sample of 30 students was selected through cluster sampling. And the certified teacher was analyzed as the main subject. Data collection was conducted using validated instruments, including questionnaires, structured interviews and classroom observations to gather comprehensive insights into the variables under study. The hypothesis was tested using Chi Square analysis. The calculated chi square value (X2calculated = 20.074) exceeded the critical chi square value (X2table = 3.841) at significance level of 0.05 with one degree of freedom (df = 1) based on these results, the null hypothesis H0 was rejected, and the alternative hypothesis Ha was accepted. The findings indicated that teacher certification had a significant impact on the creativity of PAI teachers in classroom settings. The results provided empirical evidence supporting the theoretical assumption that certification improves teacher professionalism and creativity. Certification was shown to motivate teachers to design and implement innovative teaching strategies. Contributing to more dynamic and engaging educational practices, this study highlighted the critical role of teacher certification in fostering creativity, particularly in the context of PAI, where teaching involves shaping students moral and spiritual values alongside academic knowledge.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the strategies and challenges of Tahfidz teachers in maintaining students' memorization. The focus of the study in this research is three things, namely the teaching strategies used by Tahfidz teachers, the challenges faced by Tahfidz teachers, and the evaluation methods used by Tahfidz teachers to measure the success of students' memorization of the Qur'an. The research method used in this study is qualitative based on a phenomenological approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The collected data were then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman technique, namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The research findings explain that the learning strategy used by Tahfidz teachers in maintaining students' memorization is muraja'ah and testing the memorization of each student once a month. The challenge faced by Tahfidz teachers is that many students are not optimal in memorizing the surah targeted by Tahfidz teachers. The evaluation method used is testing the students' memorization once a month, and holding a competition between students once a year.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a Juz Amma memorization teaching material that enhances students' Quran memorization skills at SMA IT Al-Fityah Binjai. The main focus is addressing the lack of adequate teaching materials for Quran memorization in the school. The development of this teaching material is expected to improve the quality of Quranic teaching and help students memorize more effectively. The study uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model, consisting of five stages: Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Data collection instruments include questionnaires, learning tests, and interviews. The study involved two subject matter experts and two media experts for material validation and was tested with class XI students enrolled in the tahfiz program. The results show that the subject matter validation received a score of 90% ("valid" with no revisions), and the media design validation scored 93% ("very valid" with no revisions). The average final validation score was 91.5%, categorized as "Very Valid." Additionally, effectiveness testing using pretest and posttest showed significant improvement, with a t-value of -14.455 and a p-value of 0.000, indicating a highly significant difference before and after using the developed teaching material. The study concludes that the ADDIE-based teaching material effectively improves Quran memorization quality. The very valid validation scores and significant improvement in student performance indicate that the material not only enhances memorization skills but also aids in better understanding of the memorized surahs. This research contributes significantly to Islamic Education by providing practical solutions for developing effective Quran memorization learning materials tailored to students' needs and learning styles, thus supporting Quranic teaching in Islamic schools.
