Abstract

Penelitian ini berjudul strategi kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan pada Sekolah Menengah Pertama Negeri (SMPN) 1 Meulaboh di Aceh Barat. Adapun masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimana strategi kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan pada SMPN 1 Meulaboh di Aceh Barat. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah teori G, Tery yang dikenal dengan POAC. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskripstif dengan teknik pengumpulan datanya meliputi teknik wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Sedangkan subyek penelitian terdiri dari kepala sekolah, pengawas sekolah, guru, dan komite sekolah serta stakeholder pendidikan. Hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa Strategi kepala sekolah SMPN 1 Meulaboh Aceh Barat dalam meningkatkan mutu pendidikan dilakukan berdasarkan perencanaan, pengorganisasian, pelaksanaan dan pengawasan yang dilakukan kepala sekolah yaitu melakukan perencanaan program sekolah yang mengacu pada 8 standar pendidikan, meningkatkan minat bakat dan prestasi belajar siswa melalui kegiatan intra kurikuler dan ekstrakurikuler, meningkatkan profesionalisme dan pedagogik guru di sekolah melalui MGMP dan bimbingan teknis lainnya, melakukan kegiatan pembinaan khusus untuk peserta didik berprestasi. Kemudian dalam pelaksanaan strateginya kepala sekolah selalu menyusun rincian tugas, memberikan pelimpahan wewenang atau pembagian tugas terhadap bawahannya seperti wakil kepala sekolah, guru koordinator, guru Pembina/pelatih serta melakukan kolaborasi kepada komite sekolah. Dalam strategi lainnya kepala sekolah juga menerapkan strategi melalui pembentukan tim kerja dan pelayanan dalam unit kepustakaan, tim kerja di laboraorium IPA, Laboratorium komputer, tim kerja di bidang Imtaq, tim pengembang sekolah, tim seni budaya, dan tim kerja bidang kewirausahaan/kantin serta tim kerja bidang ekstra kurikuler. Selanjutnya dalam pengawasan mutu sekolah, kepala sekolah menerapkan strategi open manajemen agar semua pihak merasa memiliki sekolah dan merasa bertanggung jawab secara bersama.

Abstract

The low quality of education in Indonesia hinders the nation's progress. UNESCO and PISA reports show that Indonesia lags significantly in terms of education and teacher quality. To address this issue, the government has introduced the independent curriculum and the sekolah penggerak. This study aims to analyze the influence of school culture, job satisfaction, and achievement motivation on teacher performance in the Driving School Program at the junior high school level in Bireuen Regency. This quantitative research uses an associative method with a sample of 152 teachers from a population of 246, selected through proportionate stratified random sampling. Data testing includes normality, linearity, multicollinearity, and heteroscedasticity tests, using simple linear regression analysis and Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA). The results show that school culture has a positive and significant effect on teacher performance (t-value 10.079, Sig 0.000). However, job satisfaction (t-value -1.453, Sig 0.148) and achievement motivation (t-value -1.560, Sig 0.287) do not moderate this effect. These findings are crucial for educational policy to focus on strengthening school culture to improve teacher performance. Additionally, programs to enhance job satisfaction and achievement motivation are still necessary to support overall teacher performance.

Abstract

The implementation of islamic school cultural policies in accordance with Qanun Aceh Number 11 of 2014 is still not fully implemented optimally. The school residents have not been able to understand and translate the school culture according to Qanun and only describe according to their perspective; lack of socialization regarding the implementation of Qanun education in Aceh; and school culture is limited to the use of Islamic symbols in the school environment. The purpose of this study is to get an overview of the potential implementation of Islamic school cultural policies in accordance with the Qanun Aceh level. The research method uses qualitative with a case study design. The results showed that the embodiment of Islamic school culture can be seen from the value of excellence, namely the superior program of Tahfizh Al Qur'an and the teacher capacity building program. The value of responsibility by practicing the principles of Islamic teachings, cooperating in terms of kindness, commitment, integrity, tolerance, and realizing rights and obligations.

Abstract

The objectives of this research are to determine: 1) the direct relationship between organizational culture and teacher performance; 2) the direct relationship between authentic leadership style and teacher performance; 3) the relationship between organizational culture, through achievement motivation, and teacher performance; 4) the relationship between authentic leadership style, through achievement motivation, and teacher performance; 5) the relationship between achievement motivation and teacher performance. This research uses descriptive analysis with quantitative analysis and data analysis through path analysis. The study will be conducted at junior high schools in Central Aceh Regency, including SMPN 4 Takengon, SMP IT Cendikia Takengon, and SMP IT Al-Azhar. Data collection in this study uses questionnaires, with data analyzed through Pearson's product-moment correlation and multiple linear regression analysis. The research results show that the direct relationship between organizational culture and teacher performance is 0.539 (53.9%), classified as moderate. The direct relationship between the school principal's authentic leadership and teacher performance is 0.403 (40.3%), also moderate. The moderator variable (achievement motivation) strengthens the relationship between organizational culture and teacher performance by 0.578 (57.8%), classified as moderate. Similarly, achievement motivation strengthens the relationship between the school principal's authentic leadership and teacher performance by 0.578 (57.8%), also moderate. Finally, the direct relationship between achievement motivation and teacher performance is 0.514 (51.4%), which is moderate.

Abstract

This study aims to explore: 1) The effectiveness of female leadership as a "Mother" in enhancing a collaborative school culture; 2) The effectiveness of female leadership as a "Seductress" in enhancing a collaborative school culture; 3) The effectiveness of female leadership as a "Pet" in enhancing a collaborative school culture; 4) The effectiveness of female leadership as an "Iron Maiden" in enhancing a collaborative school culture. This research uses a Mixed Method Research approach. The qualitative research is based on the philosophy of post-positivism or interpretative methods. The population consists of 161 teachers in secondary schools in Central Aceh Regency, while the sample includes 115 teachers. Quantitative data collection was conducted using a questionnaire. The study took place in secondary schools in Central Aceh Regency over eight months, from October 2023 to May 2024. The results show that the four characteristics of female leadership; (1) nurturing and protective, (2) friendly and communicative, (3) gentle and affectionate, and (4) firm and independent are effective in creating and enhancing a collaborative school culture. Leadership styles that are firm and independent have the most significant impact (63.8%) compared to the other three styles: nurturing and protective (50.5%), gentle and affectionate (49.4%), and friendly and communicative (47.9%). It is recommended that the Central Aceh Regency Education Office provides equal opportunities for female teachers to become school principals, especially considering the relatively low involvement of female teachers in educational leadership in the region.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to analyze  Project Based Learning planning, Project Based Learning implementation  and Project Based Learning evaluation conducted by SD  Negeri 21 Bireuen in improving 21st century skills for students and studying the challenges faced in  Project Based Learning management. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data collection through observation techniques, interviews and documentation review.  The research subjects were the principal, deputy principal for curriculum, and two class teachers in Phase C. Research results: 1) Project based learning  planning has gone well. The activities start from teacher council meetings, socializing project activities to parents. Planning, including: analysis of material characteristics from learning outcomes, determination of goals, conditions, time, compiling steps of project based learning activities, evaluating learning and making worksheets and 6C skill assessment formats. 2) The application  of the Project Based Learning  model related to improving 6C skills is going well, judging from the steps of activities used according to the procedures of the  Project based learning concept. 3) Project based learning  evaluation went well. It can be seen from the acquisition of scores on teacher activities to achieve very good predicates, and 4) The challenges faced are that school principals need teachers to be more creative, require a lot of media, costs and time in implementation, so there needs to be breakthroughs and innovations so that the project runs well.Keywords: Management; Project Based Learning; 21st century skills Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perencanaan Project Based Learning, pelaksanaan Project Based Learning dan evaluasi Project Based Learning yang dilakukan oleh SD  Negeri 21 Bireuen dalam meningkatkan keterampilan abad 21 bagi siswa serta mempelajari tantangan yang dihadapi dalam manajemen Project Based Learning. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Pengumpulan data melalui teknik observasi, wawancara, dan telaah dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian adalah kepala sekolah, wakil kepala sekolah bidang kurikulum, dan dua orang guru kelas di Fase C. Hasil penelitian: 1) Perencanaan project based learning telah berjalan dengan baik. Kegiatannya mulai dari rapat dewan guru, mensosialisasikan kegiatan project kepada orang tua siswa. Perencanaan, meliputi: analisis karakteristik materi dari dari capaian pembelajaran, penentuan tujuan, kondisi, waktu, menyusun langkah-langkah kegiatan project based learning, evaluasi pembelajaran dan membuat lembar kerja serta format penilaian keterampilan 6C. 2) Penerapan model Project Based Learning terkait peningkatan keterampilan 6C berjalan baik, dilihat dari langkah-langkah kegiatan yang digunakan sesuai prosedur dari konsep Project based learning. 3) Evaluasi project based learning berjalan dengan baik. Terlihat dari adanya perolehan nilai terhadap kegiatan guru mencapai predikat sangat baik, dan 4) Tantangan yang dihadapi yaitu kepala sekolah perlu guru agar lebih kekreatifan, membutuhkan banyak media, biaya dan waktu dalam pelaksanaannya, sehingga perlu adanya terobosan dan inovasi agar project berjalan dengan baik.      Kata kunci: Manajemen; Project Based Learning; keterampilan abad 21

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the strategies is used by school principals to creat a brand image going to a collaborative of excellent school in Junior High Schools (SMP) in North Aceh, specially at SMPN 2 Meurah Mulia and SMPN 7 Sawang. The study uses four innovative strategies implemented by the principals: facilitative strategies, educational strategies, persuasive strategies, and coercive strategies. The research uses a qualitative approach with data collection techniques including interviews, observations, and document reviews. The research subjects consist of principals, teachers, students, the school committee, and supervisors at the two schools being studied. The results indicate that facilitative strategies have successfully created the schools' brand image as excellent and collaborative institutions at SMPN 2 Meurah Mulia and SMPN 7 Sawang. This success is reflected in student achievements, facility management, and partnerships with external communities. However, educational strategies have not yet been fully effective in creating the desired brand image, particularly at SMPN 2 Meurah Mulia, where challenges in implementing changes and motivating teachers still limited. Meanwhile, persuasive strategies applied at both schools have successfully increased the participation of the school community and parents, thereby supporting the strengthening of the schools' brand image. Furthermore, coercive strategies have also proven effective in enhancing discipline and participation, thereby strengthening the schools' reputation in the community. This study concludes that success in creating a brand image going to a collaborative excellent school requires a combination of various innovative educational strategies, including facilitative, educational, persuasive, and coercive strategies, with an emphasis on collaboration, communication, and adaptation to existing challenges.

Abstract

The aims of this research are (1) to find out teachers' strategic planning to improve the quality of biology learning in North Aceh Regency (2) to find out the needs assessment used by teachers to improve the quality of biology learning (3) to find out evaluations of teachers' strategic planning that can improve the quality of learning biology (4) to determine the supporting and inhibiting factors for teachers' strategic planning in improving the quality of biology learning. This research uses a qualitative approach. This research was carried out at SMAN 2 Nisam, SMAN 1 Dewantara and SMAN 1 Muara Batu, North Aceh Regency. The informants in this research consisted of teachers, students, principals and school supervisors. Data collection techniques use interviews, observation and documentation. To ensure the validity of the data using triangulation techniques with data analysis according to Miles and Hamberman. The findings of this research consist of (1) teachers prepare strategic planning at the beginning of each semester guided by the independent curriculum which is in line with the school's vision and mission, the existence of human resources and support from the community and teachers in creating a comfortable classroom atmosphere by providing teaching tools and fun methods for learning (2) Of the three schools studied, only one school has teachers who always carry out needs assessments (3) Evaluations are not often carried out only in the form of reflection on learning material, evaluations are carried out during semester exams and only teachers in one school always carry out evaluations. (4) The existence of supporting factors in the form of facilities and infrastructure, which hinder students' background and motivation, as well as the use of cellphones that are not permitted

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan pengembangan, validitas, dan Praktikalitas modul Project IPAS berbasis lingkungan dalam Kurikulum Merdeka pada Fase E. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan menggunakan model 4D yang terdiri dari 4 tahap, yaitu (1) define; (2) design; (3) development; dan (4) disseminate. Untuk menguji kevalidan modul dilakukan oleh penilaian ahli materi tentang keseluruhan isi modul, ahli dalam tata bahasa yang akan menilai bahasa yang digunakan dalam modul, validasi desain yang akan dinilai oleh validasi ahli dalam teknologi pembelajaran. Uji coba produk dilakukan dalam 2 tahap yaitu uji coba pengguna /guru, uji coba kelompok kecil (12 peserta didik), dan kelompok besar (25 peserta didik). Penelitian ini telah mencapai standar kelayakan berdasarkan hasil kevalidan dan kepraktisan. Kevalidan produk modul projek IPAS berbasis lingkungan berdasarkan hasil validasi oleh ahli materi secara keseluruhan dari aspek yang dinilai mendapatkan persentase (92,08%), validasi oleh ahli bahasa 86,66%, dan validasi oleh ahli media 87,30% dengan kriteria sangat valid. Kepraktisan produk berdasarkan hasil uji coba pengguna/guru memperoleh skor rata-rata dari keseluruhan aspek adalah 88,48%, berdasarkan hasil uji coba kelompok kecil memperoleh skor rata-rata 91,83%, berdasarkan hasil uji coba kelompok besar memperoleh skor rata-rata 92,30% dengan kriteria sangat praktis.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pengembangan, validitas, kepraktisan dan keefektifan e-modul Project Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila (P5) berbasis kearifan lokal pada Fase E. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan yaitu research and Development (R D). Penelitian pengembangan ini mengacu pada langkah-langkah model pengembangan Allesi dan Trolip yang terdiri dari (1) tahap perencanaan, (2) desain, dan (3) pengembangan. Produk yang dihasilkan adalah E-Modul dengan tema “Cagruk Sagu, Makananku, Budayaku”. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa E-Modul yang dihasilkan memperoleh: (1) Tingkat kevalidan yang sangat tinggi, hasil uji validasi ahli media memperoleh persentase 90,51%, ahli bahasa 86,66% dengan kriteria sangat valid dan validasi ahli media 82,65% dengan kategori cukup valid. (2) Tingkat kepraktisan yang sangat tinggi, perolehan hasil dari uji kepraktisan berdasarkan hasil respon guru sebesar 88,64% dan respon peserta didik mencapai 91,64% dengan kategori sangat praktis. (3) tingkat efektifitas yang sangat tinggi, berdasarkan hasil observasi terhadap keterlaksanaan aktivitas guru memperoleh nilai persentase 92,29%, dan hasil observasi aktivitas peserta didik mencapai 89,88% dengan kategori sangat efektif. Selanjutnya berdasarkan data hasil ketercapaian Dimensi Profil Pelajar Pancasila diperoleh, dimensi Beriman, bertaqwa, kepada Tuhan yang maha Esa dan Berakhlak Mulia mendapatkan persentase sebesar 89,58%, untuk dimensi berkebhinekaan global memperoleh persentase 86,45%. Untuk analisis ketercapaian hasil belajar peserta didik diperoleh jumlah peserta didik yang sudah mencapai ketuntasan, sebanyak 11 orang atau 91,66%, sedangkan peserta didik yang belum mencapai ketuntasan, sebanyak 1 orang atau 8,34%. Sehingga dapat diambil kesimpulan e-modul yang dikembangkan dinyatakan valid, praktis dan efektif  untuk digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran dalam kegiatan P5 pada tema Kearifan Lokal
