This article describes the concept of Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy in building Self- Esteem for slow learner children. The REBT concept helps clients learn to challenge irrational thinking and develop thinking habits in practical and rational ways. This shift allows the individual to have a more effectively and ultimately experience healthy emotions. Descriptive research including library research using comparative studies of systems or concepts. The concept used is the A-B-C-D-E-G model in building the Self Esteem of slow learner children. The stages of self-esteem formation with the concept of Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy change individual cognitive processes in the form of perception, meaning, judgment, and it plays an essential role in the development and maintaining emotions and behavioral responses. It reduces dissatisfaction with body image and unconditional self-acceptance; accepted beliefs or not being accepted is not something to regret because it is not terrible.

Abstrak: Calon guru bimbingan dan konseling diharapkan menguasai berbagai kompetensi sebagai guru BK/konselor agar dapat menjadi konselor yang fasilitatif dan efektif. Konselor yang fasilitatif dan efektif adalah konselor yang salah satu karakteristik utamanya memiliki kecerdasan emosional yang tinggi, karena kecerdasan emosional adalah kemampuan individu memahami emosi diri dan orang lain, memotivasi diri, mengelola emosi, dan berinteraksi dengan orang lain secara layak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keberhasilan usaha membantu mahasiswa ke arah konselor yang efektif dan fasilitatif, khususnya meningkatnya kecerdasan emosional mereka. Metode yang digunakan yaitu deskriptif komparatif yang menggambarkan sebaran tingkat kecerdasan emosional mahasiswa dan perbedaan kecerdasan emosional mahasiswa berdasarkan angkatan dan gender mereka. Sampel penelitian adalah adalah 109 mahasiswa yang diambil dengan teknik cluster random sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tidak ada perbedaan kecerdasan emosional kelompok mahasiswa berdasarkan tahun masuk/angkatan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut disarankan agar Prodi BK mengadakan penilaian terhadap proses pendidikan dan pembelajaran dan dampaknya terhadap perkembangan karakter mahasiswa, dan mengidentifikasi seberapa jauh proses pemelajaran dan pendidikan menstimulasi perkebangan kecerdasan emosional mahasiswa.Abstract: school counselor candidates expected to master the competencies in order to be a facilitative and effective counselors. Effective and facilitative counselors are those whose one of the main characteristics are having high emotional quotient, because it is an individuals’ ability in understanding their own emotion and others, motivating themselves, organizing emotion, and interacting with others properly. In order to reveal the success of Guidance and counseling department assisting the students to be an effective and facilitative counselors, especially improving their emotional quotient, a comparative descriptive study needs to be conducted. This study were conducted to describe the students’ emotional quotient based on their academic year and their gender. The participantss of this study were 109 students taken by cluster random sampling technique. The result of of this study showed that the students’ emotional quotient showed no differences based on the academic year/ entry year. Based on the result of the study, the guidance and counseling department was suggested to conduct an assessments toward the learning processes and its effects on the students’ character development, and to identify to what extent the learning process stimulate the students’ emotional quotient.

THE EFFECTIVENESS OF MIND-MAPPING STRATEGY TO IMPROVE CREATIVE THINKING SKILLS IN STUDENT CAREER DECISION MAKING. The disruptive era in industrial revolution 4.0 is vital for students. In this era, students need creative thinking skills, especially in making career decisions. The Mind Mapping strategy is the right choice to train students' creative thinking skills. This creative thinking skills training is intended for students of Malang State High School Laboratory, class XII MIPA, IPS, IBB, and ICP. The expected goal is to increase the creative thinking skills of Malang State University High School Laboratory students in their career decision making. Based on the results of the study showed that creative thinking skills in career decision making before and after being trained with mind-mapping strategies, there was a significant increase. The Wilcoxon test results were Z = 4,644 with a significance of 0,000. That is, there are significant differences in creative thinking skills in student career decision making before and after being trained with mind-mapping strategies.

Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is a popular therapy that is applied to various problems. The purpose of this study is to provide a survey approved by a meta-analysis supported by CBT. This study reviews 10 meta-analytic studies and discusses CBT in students in schools for the following problems, namely: Anxiety, Emotion, Self-Confidence, Self-Efficacy, and CBT Based on Local Wisdom. Additional analytical meta review to address CBT problems for various problems in school children. The strongest support for CBT is from monitoring and transition. CBT showed a higher response rate and was widely considered in these 7 reviews and only three reviews reported that CBT had a lower response rate in care. In general, the CBT evidence base is very strong. However, additional research is needed to study the efficacy of CBT for randomized controlled studies. In addition, using CBT in schools depends on the level of education and age of children.

The pandemic caused by the Corona Virus Disease (COVID-19) has had psychological and health impacts on people's lives around the world. On a psychological aspect, this pandemic has caused anxiety due to low mindfulness. To increase the potential of mindfulness, one of the ways taken is by counselor psychological intervention. The authors used an Islamic counseling approach to reduce anxiety and increase mindfulness. Therefore, the research was conducted using a quasi-experimental design with non-equivalent control group design. Participants in this study were 14 students consisting of 7 students for each experimental and control group. Participants were invited after filling self-report the anxiety scale facing COVID-19 and indicated that they were in the high category. The data analyzed with the Wilcoxon sign rank test to determine the impact of before and after the intervention was given, then used the Mann Whitney to find out the mean differences between the experimental and control group, and the Rank Spearman to determine the correlation between mindfulness and anxiety. The results showed that Islamic counseling intervention is effective to increase mindfulness which impacted on reducing anxiety in facing the COVID-19 pandemic. Besides, the results of correlation analysis using the Rank Spearman show that there is a correlation between mindfulness and anxiety.

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui keefektifan konseling kelompok behavioral teknik self-management untuk meningkatkan kemampuan manajemen waktu siswa SMA Islam Almaarif Singosari yang tinggal di pondok pesantren. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan model one group pre-test and post-test design. Subjek penelitian sejumlah lima orang siswa SMA Islam Almaarif Singosari yang dipilih berdasarkan penjaringan menggunakan Skala Manajemen Waktu. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah Skala Manajemen Waktu dan Pedoman Pelaksanaan Konseling Kelompok Behavioral Teknik Self-Management. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa konseling kelompok behavioral teknik self-management efektif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan manajemen waktu siswa SMA Islam Almaarif Singosari yang tinggal di pondok pesantren. The research subjects were five students of Almaarif Singosari Islamic High School who were selected based on the selection using the Time Management Scale. The research instrument used was the Time Management Scale and Guidelines for the Implementation of Behavioral Group Counseling Self-Management Techniques. The results showed that the behavioral group counseling using self-management techniques was effective to Islamic boarding schools students’ time management ability.

Sekolah merupakan organisasi formal yang bergerak di bidang edukatif. Sekolah memiliki struktur yang mempunyai kedudukan tertentu, saling berinteraksi dan menjalankan peranan seperti yang diharapkan sesuai dengan kedudukannya. Struktur organisasi sekolah mendasari keputusan para pembina atau pendiri sekolah untuk proses perencanaan sekolah yang strategis. Sebuah sekolah harus diorganisasi sebagai lembaga pendidikan untuk mencapai tujauan institusional yang difokuskan untuk membantu perkembangan potensi yang dimiliki anak-anak secara maksimal, agar berguna bagi dirinya sendiri dan masyarakatnya. Organisasi sekolah adalah sistem yang bergerak dan berperan dalam merumuskan tujuan pendewasaan manusia sebagai mahluk sosial agar mampu berinteraksi dengan lingkungan. Struktur sosial sekolah yaitu kepala sekolah, guru, pegawai administrasi, petugas kebersihan dan keamanan, murid laki-laki maupun murid perempuan yang masing-masing memiliki kedudukan dan peranan yang berbeda, dan saling berinteraksi satu sama lain.Kata kunci: PAI, Media Pembelajaran

Media berasal dari bahasa latin yaitu “medius” yang artinya “tengah” yang merupakan bentuk jamak dari kata medium. Media pembelajaran adalah segala sesuatu yang dapat dijadikan perantara dalam rangka proses interaksi antara guru dan siswa dengan catatan bahwa media tersebut dapat mempermudah atau mengefektifkan proses pembelajaran.Teknologi pembelajaran adalah teori dan praktek dalam desain, pengembangan, pemanfaatan, pengelolaan dan penilaian proses dan sumber untuk belajar. Salah satu kawasan dari teknologi pembelajaran adalah kawasan pengembangan. Konsep pengembangan menurut teknologi pembelajaran adalah proses penerjemahan spesifikasi desain ke dalam bentuk fisik. Hakikat seorang pendidik kaitannya dalam pendidikan Islam adalah mendidik dan sekaligus di dalamnya mengajar sesuai dengan keilmuwan yang dimilikinya. Secara umumnya pendidik adalah orang yang memiliki tanggungjawab mendidik. Bila dipersempit pengertian pendidik adalah guru yang dalam hal ini di suatu lembaga sekolah. Sedangkan pengajar adalah pendidik yang baik. Adapun hakekat pendidik adalah Allah SWT yang mengajarkan ilmu kepada manusia dan manusia pula yang mempunyai sebuah kewajiban baginya untuk mentransferkan ilmu itu kepada orang lain demi kemaslahatan ummat, hakekat peserta didik merupakan individu yang akan dipenuhi kebutuhan ilmu pengetahuan, sikap dan tingkah lakunya, karena peserta didik adalah anggota masyarakat yang berusaha mengembangkan potensi diri melalui proses pembelajaran.Kata Kunci: Hakikat, Pendidik, Peserta Didik

Abstract: The focus of this research is how students understand about self-control, the factors of student self-control, description of student self-control in various aspects, and the efforts of counselor which is conducted to increase student self-control. The approach used in this research is a qualitative approach with an empirical phenomenology design that involves the experience of the subject. The results obtained by researchers are in the form of descriptions of the research focus. Students view self-control as an attempt to refrain from bad things which is harmful for themselves or others. There are two factors that affect student self-control, that are the factors that come from yourself (internal) and the factors that come from outside (external). Some students have been able to control themselves quite well in various aspects, but some have not been able to control themselves well. These three aspects of self-control are reflected in the thinking patterns of students, how to make decisions, and their behavior in everyday life at school. Various efforts have been made by counselors in an effort to help students improve their self-control. These efforts are in the form of preventive efforts through information and guidance services as well as curative efforts in the form of counseling and referral services for students who have not been able to control themselves properly. Abstrak: Fokus penelitian ini adalah bagaimana pemahaman siswa tentang pengendalian diri, faktor-faktor pengendalian diri siswa, gambaran pengendalian diri siswa dalam berbagai aspek, dan usaha-usaha yang dilakukan konselor untuk meningkatkan pengendalian diri siswa. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain fenomenologi empiris yang melibatkan pengalaman subjek. Hasil yang didapatkan peneliti berupa gambaran dari fokus penelitian. Siswa memandang pengendalian diri sebagai usaha untuk menahan diri dari hal yang buruk agar tidak merugikan diri atau orang lain. Ada dua faktor yang mempengaruhi pengendalian diri siswa yaitu faktor yang berasal dari dalam diri (internal) dan faktor yang berasal dari luar diri (eksternal). Sebagian siswa telah mampu mengendalikan dirinya dengan cukup baik dalam berbagai aspek, namun sebagiannya lagi belum mampu mengendalikan diri dengan baik. Ketiga aspek pengendalian diri tersebut tercermin dari pola berpikir siswa, cara mengambil keputusan, dan perilakunya dalam kehidupan sehari-hari di sekolah. Bermacam usaha telah dilakukan oleh konselor dalam upaya membantu siswa meningkatkan pengendalian dirinya. Usaha tersebut berupa usaha preventif melalui layanan informasi dan bimbingan serta usaha kuratif berupa konseling dan layanan referal bagi siswa yang belum mampu mengendalikan diri dengan baik.
