Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to develop educational bibliographic media "Scars Make You Strong" to Increase Self-Esteem of children in Pondok Tahfidz Quran LAZNAS Nurul Hayat Malang. This study was developed to help facilitate counseling teachers in providing group guidance interventions using bibli education techniques. The scope of this research is the bibliographic media of the story book "Scars Make You Strong" to increase the self-esteem of the adolescent children. This study uses the model Research and Development developed by Borg and Gall (1983) with the following steps: data collection, planning, product development, testing (BK material expert and media expert), revision of the results of expert testing and candidate testing users, revised trial results, and the final product. Expert testing and field testing of prospective users were analyzed using quantitative data analysis using the formula average (mean) and qualitative data analysis. The validity index of expert and prospective user tests shows high criteria and meets acceptability, namely usability, accuracy, convenience, and attractiveness, so that the product is feasible and can be given to prospective users of story books, namely children in the cottage, and guidebooks for use for counseling teachers / guidance teachers. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media biblioedukasi Buku Cerita Bergambar “Scars Make You Strong” untuk Meningkatkan Self-Esteem anak di Pondok Tahfidz Quran LAZNAS Nurul Hayat Malang. Penelitian ini dikembangkan guna membantu memudahkan guru BK dalam pemberian intervensi bimbingan kelompok menggunakan teknik biblioedukasi. Ruang lingkup dalam penelitian ini adalah media biblioedukasi buku cerita “Scars Make You Strong” untuk meningkatkan self-esteem anak pondok. Penelitian ini menggunakan model Research and Development yang dikembangkan oleh Borg dan Gall (1983) dengan langkah : melakukan pengumpulan data, perencanaan, pengembangan produk, uji coba (ahli materi BK dan ahli media), revisi dari hasil uji ahli dan uji calon pengguna, revisi hasil uji coba, serta produk akhir. Uji ahli dan uji lapangan calon pengguna dianalisis menggunakan analisis data kuantitatif menggunakan rumus rata-rata (mean) dan analisis data kualitatif. Indeks validitas uji ahli dan calon pengguna menunjukkan kriteria yang tinggi dan memenuhi akseptabilitas yakni kegunaan, ketepatan, kemudahan, dan kemenarikan, sehingga produk layak dan dapat diberikan pada calon pengguna buku cerita yakni anak di pondok, dan buku panduan penggunaannya untuk guru BK/guru pembina.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to see the relationship between peer support, emotional intelligence and the hedonic behavior of class XI students of SMA Negeri 1 Tarakan. This research is this research. The population in this study were students at SMA Negeri 1 Tarakan. The sample was taken using proportional random sampling technique with a sample size of 104 students. Data obtained by peer support scale, intelligence intelligence and hedonic behavior scale. Research data analyzed using multiple regression. The results showed that (1) there was a relationship between peer support and hedonic behavior with sig. less than 0.05 with an effective contribution of 0.4 percent, (2) there is a relationship between emotional intelligence and hedonic behavior with sig less than 0.05 with an effective contribution of 8.5 percent, and (3) peer support and intelligence together are related to behavior hedonic with sig. less than 0.05 and the effective contribution was 8.9 percent. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan dukungan teman sebaya, kecerdasan emosional dengan perilaku hedonis siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Tarakan. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian korelasi. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa di SMA Negeri 1 Tarakan. Sampel diambil dengan menggunakan teknik proportional random sampling dengan jumlah sampel 104 siswa. Data diperoleh dengan skala dukungan teman sebaya, skala kecerdasan emosional dan skala perilaku hedonis. Analisis data menggunakan regresi berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa (1) terdapat hubungan antara dukungan teman sebaya dan perilaku hedonis dengan sig. kurang dari 0,05 dengan sumbangan efektif sebesar 0,4 persen, (2) terdapat hubungan antara kecerdasan emosional dan perilaku hedonis dengan sig kurang dari 0,05 dengan sumbangan efektif sebesar 8,5 persen, dan (3) dukungan teman sebaya dan kecerdasan emosional bersama-sama berhubungan dengan perilaku hedonis dengan sig. kurang dari 0,05 dan sumbangan efektifnya sebesar 8,9 persen.

Abstract

The internal counselor competence refers to the metacognition skills to manage all their mental experiences and internal conditions. These are in the form of Mind skills. In particular, in the industrial revolution 4.0 and the covid-19 pandemic situation, online counselors face many unpredictable and unfamiliar conditions. This study aims to identify the state of level the counselor's mind skills during online counseling sessions. This research method uses survey research methods of 181 online counselors in various regions in Indonesia. Mind Skills Journal is the instrument used for data collection to assess the four levels of counselor metacognition (Reflective, Strategic, Aware, and Tacit). The analysis used basic statistics and graphs. The results showed the overall score of the Mind skills level was 78.166%, which was in the Strategic Use level. The Mind skills contribution can be counselor self-regulation, counselor assessment, verbalization, information visualization description, causal analysis, and predictive planning. Suggestions based on research results are the need for an alternative to improve mind skills through reflective learning of prospective counselors and reflective supervision activities of counselors in the field.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to investigate the effectiveness of solution focused brief counseling to junior high school students optimism in examination. This study employed pretest and posttest control group design. The stages in this research are preparation, implementation and final stage. The data analyzed by using Two-Independent-Sample Test-Mann-Whitney U. The result shows that mean score at the output rank of experimental group is bigger than control group, that is 9.50 greater than 3.50. Next, the result of output Test Statistics shows that asymp.Sig (2-tailed) is 0.001, or the probability is lower than 0.05 (0.001 lower than 0.05) Ho is rejected, so solution focused brief counseling is effective to improve Junior High School Students optimism in examination. Abstrak: Keefektifan Pendekatan Konseling Ringkas Berfokus Solusi untuk meningkatkan optimisme siswa SMP dalam menghadapi ujian. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui keefektifan Konseling Ringkas Berfokus Solusi untuk meningkatkan optimisme siswa SMP dalam menghadapi ujian. Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan yaitu pretest and posttest control group design. Tahapan penelitian yaitu persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan tahap akhir. Data diuji menggunakan uji Two-Independent-Sample Test-Mann-Whitney U. Hasil penelitian ini adalah mean pada output rank (kelompok eksperimen) lebih besar dari mean (kelompok kontrol), yaitu 9.50 lebih dari 3.50. Dilihat dari output Test Statistics menunjukkan bahwa asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) adalah 0.001, atau probabilitas di bawah 0.05 (0.001 kurang dari 0.05). Maka Ho ditolak, artinya konseling ringkas berfokus solusi efektif untuk meningkatkan optimisme siswa SMP dalam menghadapi ujian.

Abstract

Abstract: Family and school are the two main environments that students need to recognize themselves and their abilities. The support that families provide and the quality of school life influence students in making career decisions. The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of family support and quality of school life on career decision making. The research method is correlational research with cluster random sampling technique. The subjects of the research were the class XII students at SMA Negeri 5 Malang with a total of 108 students. The research instrument adopted by Selesta Sarwandhini and Novera Sholikhati. The results of data analysis showed that the value of sig. on the F test of 0.000 less than 0.05. So that there is a simultaneous influence between family support and quality of school life on career decision making. Family support has no significant influence on career decision making with a contribution percentage of 2.0 percent. While the quality of school life has an influence on career decision making with a contribution percentage of 32.9 percent. Abstrak: Keluarga dan sekolah merupakan dua lingkungan utama yang siswa perlukan untuk mengenali diri sendiri serta kemampuannya. Dukungan yang keluarga berikan serta kualitas kehidupan sekolah mempengaruhi siswa dalam pengambilan keputusan karier. Tujuan dari penelitian ialah untuk mengetahui pengaruh dari dukungan keluarga dan quality of school life terhadap pengambilan keputusan karier. Metode penelitian ialah penelitian korelasional dengan teknik pengambilan sampel cluster random sampling. Subjek penelitian ialah siswa kelas XII di SMA Negeri 5 Malang sejumlah 108 siswa. Instrumen penelitian mengadopsi milik Selesta Sarwandhini dan Novera Sholikhati. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa nilai sig. pada uji F sebesar 0,000 kurang dari 0,05. Sehingga ada pengaruh secara simultan antara dukungan keluarga dan quality of school life terhadap pengambilan keputusan karier. Dukungan keluarga tidak memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap pengambilan keputusan karier dengan persentase sumbangan 2,0 persen. Sedangkan quality of school life memiliki pengaruh terhadap pengambilan keputusan karier dengan persentase sumbangan 32,9 persen.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aimed to determine the characteristics of self-injury actors, the form of behavior carried out by self-injury actors, the causes of self-injury behavior, and the handling efforts of Guidance and Counseling services for students who behave in self-injury. This research uses descriptive qualitative method with research subjects as many as 2 junior high school students and counselors, and 4 informants selected by purposive sampling method based on certain criteria. Data collection techniques used are interviews and observation. The results of this study indicate that the subject performs self-injury to divert the emotions they feel. The characteristics of self-injured subjects are sensitive to rejection, constantly angry with themselves, tend to suppress anger, continue to suffer from anxiety, and do not feel themselves capable of dealing with problems. The forms of self-injury carried out are slashing body parts, scratching, bruising body parts, pulling hair, and banging their heads against walls. The factors that cause the subject to self-injury are the lack of attention from parents, feeling that they have no other solution, and the loss of control in overcoming academic problems. Handling efforts in guidance and counseling services are providing individual counseling services, regular monitoring and referral actions. The counseling provided uses a psychoanalytic approach by applying techniques according to the needs and problems of students. The results of the treatment have not completely overcome the cell-injury, there is still a need for continuous strengthening and monitoring. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui karakteristik pelaku self-injury, bentuk perilaku yang dilakukan oleh pelaku self-injury, penyebab dari perilaku self-injury, dan upaya penanganan dari layanan Bimbingan dan Konseling bagi siswa yang berperilaku self-injury. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan subjek penelitian sebanyak 2 siswa SMP beserta konselor, dan 4 informan yang dipilih dengan metode purposive sampling dengan berdasarkan kriteria tertentu. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah wawancara dan observasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa subjek melakukan self-injury untuk mengalihkan emosi yang dirasakan. Karakteristik subjek pelaku self-injury adalah peka terhadap penolakan, selalu marah pada diri sendiri, menahan amarah, terus menderita kecemasan, dan cenderung merasa tidak mampu menghadapi masalah. Bentuk self-injury yang dilakukan adalah menyayat bagian tubuh, mencakar, melebamkan bagian tubuh, menjambak rambut, dan membenturkan kepala ke tembok. Faktor yang menyebabkan subjek melakukan self-injury adalah kurangnya perhatian dari orang tua, merasa tidak memiliki solusi lain, dan hilangnya kontrol dalam mengatasi permasalahan akademik. Upaya penanganan dalam layanan bimbingan dan konseling adalah memberikan layanan konseling individu, pemantauan secara berkala dan tindakan referal. Konseling yang diberikan menggunakan pendekatan psikoanalisis dengan mengaplikasikan teknik sesuai kebutuhan dan permasalahan siswa. Hasil penanganan belum sepenuhnya mengatasi sel-injury, masih perlu adanya penguatan dan pemantauan secara terus menerus.

Abstract

Abstract: The understanding of national intelligence is important for students because in early adolescence, junior high school students are in a state of lability in emotional development. However, circumstances in the field show that many counselors have difficulty in helping students obtain proper information about such emotional intelligence due to the absence of adequate instruments. The purpose of this study is to develop an inventory of emotional intelligence. For this reason, the design is development research. The stages of its development, the preparation of the construct of characteristics to be measured, the preparation of the instrument grid, the preparation of statement items (items), the implementation of expert considerations, the analysis of expert consideration results, field trials, analysis of the results of field trials and revisions, the preparation of norms and guidelines for the use of instruments, and the preparation of reports. The population of this study was junior high school students in East Java Province with the research sample being 389 junior high school students taken using the multistage technique of cluster random sampling area. The study produced a set of emotional intelligence inventories of East Java Junior High School students with adequate validity and reliability as well as practical five-scale norms for counselors to use in uncovering the emotional intelligence of junior high school students in East Java. Based on these results, it is hoped that further research will be carried out with evidence of predictive validity and the development of guidelines for the use of emotional intelligence inventories for East Java Junior High School students. Abstrak: Pemahaman kecerdasan nasional penting bagi siswa karena pada usia remaja awal, siswa SMP berada pada kondisi labil dalam perkembangan emosi. Namun, keadaan dilapangan menunjukkan banyak konselor mengalami kesulitan dalam membantu siswa memperoleh informasi yang tepat tentang kecerdasan emosional tersebut karena tidak adanya instrumen yang memadai. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan inventori kecerdasan emosional. Untuk itu rancangannya adalah penelitian pengembangan. Tahap-tahap pengembangannya, penyusunan konstruk karakteristik yang hendak diukur, penyusunan kisi-kisi instrumen, penyusunan butir pernyataan (item), pelaksanaan pertimbangan pakar, analisis hasil pertimbangan pakar, uji coba lapangan, analisis hasil uji coba lapangan dan revisi, penyusunan norma dan panduan penggunaan instrumen, dan penyusunan laporan. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa SMP di Provinsi Jawa Timur dengan sampel penelitian adalah 389 siswa SMP yang diambil dengan teknik multistages area cluster random sampling. Penelitian menghasilkan seperangkat inventori kecerdasan emosional siswa SMP Jawa Timur dengan validitas dan reliabilitas memadai serta norma skala lima yang praktis untuk digunakan konselor dalam mengungkap kecerdasan emosional siswa SMP di Jawa Timur. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut diharapkan dilakukan penelitian lanjutan dengan bukti validitas prediktif dan pengembangan panduan penggunaan inventori kecerdasan emosional siswa SMP Jawa Timur.

Abstract

The impact of technological advances is bullying on social media. As a result of bullying that occurs on social media, many individuals, especially students, are victims. The symptoms possessed by victims of cyberbullying are; feel anxiety, stress, depression, decreased learning motivation, withdraw from the social environment. One of the counselor's efforts in helping victims of cyberbullying is to provide cognitive behavior counseling. This type of research is a qualitative research using a systematic review literature review approach. The steps in the implementation of cognitive behavior counseling are; 1) identify students who are victims, 2) apply a cognitive behavior approach to the counseling process and 3) follow up.

Abstract

The rate of burnout in school counselors is a critical issue in regulating individual work activities. This is a first and cross-sectional study that intends to examine the burnout of school counselors after the permitting of lifting due to the Covid-19 pandemic in Indonesia. It is reported that 188 school counselors in Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang and Bekasi have filled out the Counselor Burnout Inventory to measure the burnout case they are dealing with. The data that has been raised was evaluated via the Rasch Model. The results of the study show that the rate of Burnout in school counselors has different statuses from each other, and highly depends on the demographic aspects investigated in this study. The study also verified that all school counselors were frustrated with their effectiveness as counselors. Nevertheless, counselors still promote their professionalism to advance the counseling services and promote the welfare of their clients. Discrepancies in the rate of school counselor burnout based on demographic aspects are also discussed in this article.

Abstract

The depth of the relationship in counseling is key in determining the success of counseling.  The method used in this study is the  survey  method.  The sample in the study involved as many as 36 counselors.  The instrument used is the  Rational Depth Frequency Scale (RDFS). The  data analysis technique uses Rasch  modeling with the winstep program  version 4.45.  Researchhas  revealed that in general counselors have a depth of relationship in the counseling process. Where the counselor in the moment of depth of the relationship feels intense security, genuineness, empathy, and positive acceptance in the counseling process. The counselor feels what the counselor is going through, the counselor openly conveys his problems because of the counselor's warm and pleasant acceptance attitude. The depth of the counselor relationship  in the counseling process  as one of  the  factors  of success and effectiveness of counseling. The results of  this study can be used as preliminary data  to examine more deeply the  depth of the relationship in the counseling  process  in terms of  counseling
