Abstract

This study was motivated by the increasing activity of playing Mobile Legends among students, which may reduce attention, discipline, and physical readiness in Physical Education, Sports, and Health learning. The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between Mobile Legends gameplay and PJOK learning interest among Grade VIII students at MTsN 3 Kota Bima. This study used a correlational quantitative approach involving 49 male Grade VIII students selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed through validity testing, reliability testing, Shapiro-Wilk normality testing, Pearson Product Moment correlation, and coefficient of determination. The results showed that the instrument was valid and reliable, data were normally distributed, and there was a significant negative relationship between Mobile Legends gameplay and PJOK learning interest, with r = -0.557 and p < 0.001. Coefficient of determination was 31.02%. Higher gameplay activity was associated with lower PJOK learning interest.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low endurance of several futsal extracurricular participants, indicated by rapid fatigue, muscle cramps, body soreness, and the absence of a systematic post-training recovery program. The study aimed to examine the effects of sport massage, relaxation, and combined sport massage with relaxation on the stamina of futsal extracurricular students at MAN 1 Kota Bima. This research used a quantitative approach with a pretest-posttest design involving 24 participants. Stamina was measured using the bleep test to estimate VO2Max. Data were analyzed descriptively and inferentially through normality testing, paired samples t-test, and adjusted repeated-measures interpretation. The results showed that mean VO2Max increased from 41.5 to 47.4 after sport massage, 45.9 after relaxation, and 49.9 after the combined treatment. The study concludes that all recovery methods showed a tendency to improve stamina, with the combined treatment producing the highest descriptive result.

Abstract

This study was motivated by limited discipline and positive attitudes among some students in physical education learning, including arriving late to the field, not wearing sports uniforms, paying limited attention to teachers, and complaining during physical activities. The study aimed to examine the contributions of discipline and attitude to physical education achievement at SDN 1 Pringgasela Selatan. A quantitative correlational approach with an ex post facto design was employed. The sample consisted of 60 fifth- and sixth-grade students selected through purposive sampling. Discipline and attitude data were collected using questionnaires, while physical education achievement was obtained from report-card scores. Data were analyzed using simple and multiple linear regression. The findings showed that discipline contributed significantly by 17.8%, attitude by 23.3%, and both variables simultaneously by 25.0%. In the multiple regression model, only attitude remained a significant predictor. The study concludes that attitude is the strongest predictor of physical education achievement.

Abstract

Uneven physical education learning management may affect the quality of planning, implementation, and assessment in schools. This study aimed to evaluate physical education learning management across the context, input, process, and product components in public junior high schools in Praya Tengah District. A quantitative descriptive evaluative approach using the CIPP model was employed. Data were collected through questionnaires, observations, structured interviews, and documentation involving students, principals, and physical education teachers. The findings showed that, based on students’ perceptions, SMPN 1, SMPN 3, and SMPN 4 Praya Tengah were categorized as very good, while SMPN 2 was categorized as good. Based on principals’ and teachers’ perceptions, all schools were categorized as very good. The process component showed relatively strong performance; however, perception gaps emerged between students and school personnel, particularly at SMPN 2. Physical education learning management is generally good but requires further improvement in student learning experiences, facilities, teaching methods, and authentic assessment.
