Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh latihan HIIT terhadap peningkatan endurance dan agility pada atlet sepak bola Papua. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimental dengan desain pre-test dan post-test control group design. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 30 atlet sepak bola Papua yang dibagi menjadi dua kelompok, yaitu kelompok eksperimen 15 atlet yang mendapat perlakuan latihan HIIT dan kelompok kontrol yang menjalani program latihan konvensional 15 atlet. Program latihan HIIT dilaksanakan selama 6 minggu dengan frekuensi 3 kali per minggu. Parameter yang diukur meliputi endurance menggunakan Bleep Test  untuk mengukur endurance dan agility menggunakan zig zag run test. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji statistik paired t-test dan independent t-test dengan tingkat signifikansi α = 0,05. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan penerapan latihan HIIT terhadap peningkatan endurance dan agility pada kelompok eksperimen. Nilai endurance mengalami peningkatan yang signifikan (p < 0,05) dari hasil pre-test ke post-test pada kelompok yang menjalani latihan HIIT. Demikian pula dengan kemampuan agility yang menunjukkan perbaikan yang signifikan (p < 0,05) setelah program latihan HIIT dilaksanakan. Perbandingan antara kelompok eksperimen dan kontrol juga menunjukkan perbedaan yang signifikan, dimana kelompok eksperimen memiliki peningkatan yang lebih baik dibandingkan kelompok kontrol. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah latihan HIIT memberikan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap peningkatan endurance dan agility atlet sepak bola Papua. Metode latihan HIIT dapat dijadikan alternatif program latihan yang efektif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan fisik atlet sepak bola, khususnya dalam mengembangkan daya tahan dan kelincahan yang merupakan komponen penting dalam permainan sepak bola.

Abstract

This community service programme was implemented in response to the need to enhance the competence of physical education teachers at the primary school level in developing karate skills among Papuan students. The Primary School Physical Education Teachers' Working Group (KKG) is a strategic forum for optimising the pedagogical and technical abilities of teachers in coaching young karate athletes who can compete in the National Student Sports Olympics (O2SN). The Papuan government aspires to revive the glory of Papuan sports, both domestically and internationally. The objective of this PKM is to improve the professional competence of elementary school PJOK teachers in Papua in coaching karate to achieve optimal performance at O2SN. This community service programme has successfully achieved its main objective of optimising the competence of the Papuan KKG PJOK SD in karate development. This community service programme utilised the Community-Based Participatory Research (CBPR) method. Significant improvements were observed in athletes' nutritional knowledge (77.4%), karate competition regulation competencies (89.6%), and teacher motivation levels (82.1%), which were categorised as high. Based on the results of this community service, it is hoped that Physical Education teachers will implement their knowledge and skills in coaching and preparing students for the O2SN Karate Sports competition.

Abstract

Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mengimplementasikan senam persendian untuk meminimalisir nyeri sendi pada lansia. Sebagai upaya mencapai tujuan PKM ini mengunakan pendekatan Assets Based Community Development (ABCD). Mitra dalam pengabdian ini yaitu lansia di Panti Bina Lanjut Usia Sentani dengan jumlah 45 lansia. Sampel yang digunakan dalam pengabdian berjumlah 25 lansia (pria: 7 orang dan wanita: 18 orang) yang mengalami masalah pada lingkup gerak sendi. Teknik pengumpulan data mengunakan instrumen Skala Nyeri Numeric Rating Scale (NRS), pengukuran tinggi badan dan berat badan untuk mengetahui IMT, dan lembar observasi skala nyeri. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif dan analisis inferensial menggunakan uji t (uji beda). Hasil menunjukkan sebelum intervensi lansia dominan mengalami nyeri sedang (64%) dan setelah intervensi lansia dominan nyeri ringan (60%), serta ditemukan adanya perbedaan tingkat nyeri sebelum dan setelah implementasi senam persendian dengan nilai p-value = 0,002<0,05. Selain itu, lansia dominan memiliki IMT normal, meski terdapat lansia dengan BB kurang, overweight, dan obesitas. Berdasarkan hasil PKM disarankan rutin mengimplementasikan senam persendian untuk meminimalisir nyeri sendi pada lansia.

Abstract

This community service programme aims to implement Contract Relax and Hold Relax technique training clinics to optimise Range of Motion (ROM) in Papuan athletes who have suffered sports injuries. It uses an Assets-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach through presentations and training clinics. The study involved Papuan athletes as participants, with a majority of males (62.5 percent) and a dominant age group of 15-16 years (47.9 percent). According to the injury history, 41.7 percent of participants reported experiencing injuries 2-3 times in the past year. The results showed a significant increase in athletes' understanding of rehabilitation techniques. The highest growth occurred in the knowledge of the Contract Relax principle (87.44 percent) and its application to injuries (85.68 percent). In practical skills, the greatest improvement was in mastery of the Contract phase (95.7 percent), followed by the Hold technique (95.0 percent). The implementation of techniques in injury cases showed optimal results for lower back pain with a 56.0 percent increase in ROM, followed by ankle sprains (45.1 percent). Participant satisfaction evaluations showed the highest ratings for instructor competence (4.89/5) and quality of practical application (4.70/5). This program has proven effective in enhancing the knowledge, skills, and ROM of Papuan athletes with sports injuries through the Contract Relax and Hold Relax coaching clinic.

Abstract

A healthy lifestyle and regular exercise are important foundations in shaping a high-quality generation, especially in schools. This community service activity aims to increase the knowledge and awareness of students and teachers at SMKS YPK Betlehem, Papua regarding the importance of exercise and a healthy lifestyle. The methods used to carry out this activity include educational lectures, exercise demonstrations, and interactive discussions. Evaluation was conducted through pre-tests and post-tests to measure participants' understanding. The results showed significant improvements in various aspects, with the most dominant improvements occurring in the aspects of the benefits of exercise for mental health (93.88%), knowledge about the benefits of exercise (88.37%), and the dangers of sedentary behaviour (87.76%). Other aspects also experienced positive improvements, namely awareness of the risks of unhealthy lifestyles (84%), strategies for starting and maintaining healthy living habits (83.02%), types of sports and how to do them (79.25%), and motivation to exercise regularly (73.08%). Based on the data analysis results, it was concluded that the average increase was 84.19%. This PKM had a positive impact on improving health literacy among students and teachers at SMKS YPK Betlehem Papua and is expected to stimulate the implementation of a sustainable healthy lifestyle.

Abstract

Asistensi mengajar memberikan kesempatan kepada mahasiswa untuk mengembangkan potensi maupun minat untuk mengajar di satuan pendidikan di Indonesia. Namun, dalam pelaksanaan di lapangan program asistensi mengajar tidak terlepas dari berbagai hambatan dan berbagai respons dari mahasiswa. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengungkapkan respons mahasiswa penjas terhadap program asistensi mengajar pada tahun 2023. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 69 mahasiswa penjas. Jumlah sampel dalam penelitian adalah berjumlah 38 mahasiswa yang diambil secara random sampling. Pengumpulan data menggunakan instrumen berupa angket yang memiliki validitas sebesar 0,511 – 0, 877 dan nilai reliabilitas sebesar 0,969. Analisis data menggunakan deskriptif kuantitatif dengan persentase yang diklasifikasikan menjadi lima kategori. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebanyak 17 mahasiswa memberikan respons yang sangat baik, 13 mahasiswa memberikan respons yang baik, 7 mahasiswa memberikan repons dengan kategori cukup, 1 mahasiswa memberikan repons dengan kategori kurang. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa mahasiswa pendidikan jasmani memberikan respons yang positif terhadap pelaksanaan program asistensi mengajar pada tahun 2023.

Abstract

Background: Despite extensive research on student-athletes, limited studies have examined the relationship between social support and academic stress within physical education programmes. Objectives: The purpose of this study was to analyse the relationship between social support and academic stress in student-athletes in the physical education study programme. Methods: A cross-sectional correlational design was used with 78 student-athletes. Data was collected using a 17-item Likert-scale questionnaire measuring parental, lecturer, and coach support, as well as academic stress. This instrument consists of several indicators, including parental support (4 items), lecturer support (4 items), coach support (4 items), and academic stress (5 items). The research data were analysed quantitatively. Spearman’s rank correlation was used to analyse the correlation between social support and academic stress. Results: The results of the quantitative analysis showed that student-athletes had very high social support, with a percentage of 46.15%, and moderate academic stress, with a percentage of 32.05%. Spearman’s correlation analysis revealed a significant positive association (ρ = 0.371, p = 0.001), indicating a weak-to-moderate relationship. Conclusion: It was concluded that student-athletes had very high social support and moderate academic stress, with a positive correlation between variables and no differences in terms of gender. These findings provide preliminary insights into the association between social support and academic stress among student-athletes.

Abstract

Pendahuluan: Atlet NPC Papua telah berpartisipasi dalam PEPARNAS sejak tahun 2004, yang diselenggarakan setiap 4 tahun. Pada tahun 2024, NPC Papua secara rutin berpartisipasi dalam ajang tersebut bersama para atletnya. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui perkembangan atlet NPC Papua dan membandingkan hasil pada setiap cabang olahraga. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui prestasi atlet NPC Papua dan membandingkan prestasi mereka pada setiap ajang. Metodologi: Metode desain komparatif digunakan untuk menganalisis perbedaan hasil PEPARNAS 2004–2024. Populasi terdiri dari 659 atlet dari 12 cabang olahraga yang meraih medali. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling dengan kriteria atlet yang meraih medali. Pengumpulan data menggunakan hasil kompetisi PEPARNAS 2004–2024, yang mencakup enam kompetisi. Hasil: Hasil menunjukkan nilai p rata-rata sebesar 0,501 > 0,05, yang berarti bahwa prestasi atlet NPC Papua pada PEPARNAS setiap tahunnya tidak berbeda secara signifikan. Namun, secara umum, prestasi NPC Papua pada setiap PEPARNAS menunjukkan peningkatan yang konsisten. Kesimpulan: Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa prestasi atlet penyandang disabilitas yang dilatih oleh NPC Papua telah meningkat secara deskriptif, terutama pada tahun 2021 ketika Papua menjadi tuan rumah. Abstract Introduction: NPC Papua athletes have participated in PEPARNAS since 2004, which is held every four years. In 2024, it will be 20 years since NPC Papua has regularly participated in the event with its athletes. Based on this, this study was conducted to determine the development of NPC Papua athletes and compare the results of each event. Objective: This study aims to determine the achievements of NPC Papua athletes and compare their achievements in each event. Methodology: A comparative design method was used to examine the differences in the results of PEPARNAS 2004–2024. The population consisted of 659 athletes from 12 sports who won medals. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling with the criterion of athletes who won medals. Data collection used the results of the 2004-2024 PEPARNAS competitions, covering six competitions. Results: The results showed an average p-value of 0.501 > 0.05, indicating that the achievements of Papuan NPC athletes at PEPARNAS each year were not significantly different; however, in general, the achievements of the Papuan NPC at each PEPARNAS showed consistent improvement. Conclusion: Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the achievements of athletes with disabilities trained by the Papua NPC have improved significantly, especially in 2021 when Papua hosted the event.

Abstract

Background: Early childhood is a critical period for developing fundamental motor skills and physical fitness; however, despite the widespread implementation of kids’ athletics programmes, limited research has examined the combined effects of specific training models, such as Slalom Switch, Okubuuka, and Kykkaa, within a structured intervention to improve multiple physical fitness components in children. Objectives: This study aimed to examine the effects of a 12-week Kids’ Athletics Level 2 training programme on physical fitness in children aged 8-11 years. Methods: A quasi-experimental one-group pretest–posttest design was employed involving 40 elementary school students selected through purposive sampling. The intervention was conducted three times per week. Physical fitness was assessed using the Indonesian Student Fitness Test (TKSI), including coordination, accuracy, strength, agility, and cardiovascular endurance. Data were analysed using paired sample t-tests. Results: The results showed significant improvements across all variables (p < 0.05), with the largest increases observed in coordination (+57.14%) and strength (+50%), followed by accuracy (+50%), endurance (+15.25%), and agility (+10.23%). Conclusion: In conclusion, the Kids’ Athletics Level 2 training model may be effective in enhancing multiple components of physical fitness in children. However, the absence of a control group limits causal interpretation, and further studies using controlled experimental designs are recommended.

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini bertujuan (1) meningkatkan pengetahuan pelatih PPLP Papua tentang ilmu kepelatihan olahraga berbasis IPTEK dan sport science, (2) pelatih memiliki kemampuan dalam merencanakan program latihan berbasis tuntutan aktifitas pertandingan masing-masing cabang olahraga, dan (3) PPLP Papua dapat berprestasi di ajang POPNAS ke-XVI tahun 2023. Metode yang digunakan yaitu workshop dan pendampingan berbasis teori (persentasi/ceramah) dan praktek. Manfaat dari kegiatan tesrbut adalah (1) terjalinnya kerjasama antar lembaga/institusi yakni, Program Studi Ilmu Keolahragaan FIK UNCEN dan DISORDA Provinsi Papua, (2) meningkatnya pengetahuan dan kompetensi pelatih dan asisten pelatih PPLP tentang ilmu kepelatihan berbasis IPTEK dan sport science dan mendapatkan kemampuan dalam menyusun program latihan, dan; (3) terlaksananya tugas Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi (Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat) seabagai kewajiban seorang Dosen. Adapun hasil dari pelatihan tersebut, (1) sebagian besar peserta peserta memahami penyajian materi yang disampaikan pada saat pelatihan, dan (2) sebagian besar peserta mendapatkan nilai baik ditinjau dari penilaian evaluasi / kompetensi terhadap pelatihan.
