Abstract

This study aims to apply students' self-concept E-assessment to SESKA-based physics. Student self-concept E-assessment in this study aims to see students 'self-concept of physics and how the teacher responds to the development of students' self-concept E-assessment with SESKA systems. The method implemented in this research has three stages, namely: (1) Development, (2) Implementation, & (Evaluation). This research was carried out on 450 students and 15 teachers in the Jambi Province of Indonesia. The results of this study indicate students' self-concept of physics is classified as good 47.1percent (212 students), and the teacher's response is classified as positive, with 66.7percent (10 teachers). Therefore, SESKA-based E-Assessments receives a good response and needs to be developed on a large scale.

Abstract

Bahan ajar yang biasanya digunakan siswa dengan penggunaan bahasa asing membuat siswa sulit memahami penjelasan yang terdapat pada buku tersebut. Sehingga tidak salah jika modul elektronik digunakan sebagai pedoman siswa dalam belajar matematika dan fisika. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mendeskripsikan persepsi siswa terhadap modul matematika fisika dan mengetahui perbedaan persepsi siswa kelas A dan B Reguler pada modul matematika fisika. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan mixed method. Dengan jumlah sampel 60 mahasiswa dari dua kelas. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan kuesioner dan wawancara online dengan menggunakan teknik analisis data kuantitatif yaitu statistik deskriptif dan uji anova. Dari hasil yang diperoleh terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara kedua kelas dan dari hasil korelasi persepsi kelas reguler A dan B memiliki hubungan sehingga hal ini akan mempengaruhi kegunaan e-modul fisika-matematika nantinya. Dan hasil wawancara menjelaskan bahwa saat ini siswa merasa bingung dalam memahami pelajaran fisika matematika. Karena bahan ajar yang digunakan sedikit asing dalam penggunaan bahasanya dan materi fisika dan matematika juga sulit untuk dipahami. Siswa membutuhkan bahan ajar yang sangat menarik dan tentunya mudah dipahami mulai dari bahasa, penjelasan dan materi. Karena semakin baik persepsi positif yang diberikan siswa maka siswa merasa sangat membutuhkan modul elektronik untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran matematika fisika.Kata Kunci : E-modul, Fisika Matematika, Persepsi

Abstract

Research objectives: The objectives of this study are to introduce and improve teachers' ability in designing student argumentation assessment instruments in measuring students' level of understanding in learning. Ultimately, it will help students develop good and correct argumentation skills during the learning process. Methodology: The method used in this study is a quantitative method. In using this method, the researcher uses a research design in the form of a questionnaire. By combining this method and design, the research results will be obtained in the form of numbers. The subjects in this study were teachers at Mtss Al-Hidayah. Kebon IX. The results of this study will later become a reference for how this research is conducted and what conclusions can be obtained from the implementation of this research. Main Findings: In the research related to the implementation and application of argumentation instruments, it was found that more than 50% of teachers agreed to implement this argumentation ability instrument. It is seen that teachers strongly agree with the existence of argumentation ability instruments. Teachers are interested and also want to try the argumentation skills instrument. Novelty/Originality of this study: This study is rarely conducted and this study is also quite interesting. From the discussion session, there are still many teachers who do not know about the existence of this argumentation ability instrument. Teachers are interested in implementing this argumentation ability instrument not only in science learning, but also in other subjects.

Abstract

Purpose of the Study: This research aimed to identify and analyze the outcomes of the DISKAPROD program, specifically focusing on assessing the effectiveness and quality of instruments used to measure students' basic process skills in schools. The study also sought to determine teacher perceptions regarding the program's impact on improving student learning outcomes. Methodology: A descriptive quantitative method was applied. The study population consisted of all teachers at the Al-Hidayah Foundation Kebon IX Muaro Jambi, with 21 teachers selected via purposive sampling. Data collection was conducted using questionnaires and interviews, while data analysis involved descriptive statistical tests to evaluate the teachers’ perceptions and responses to the program. Main Findings: The findings revealed strong teacher support for the DISKAPROD program. A significant 57.1% of the teachers expressed agreement with its implementation, and 76.1% provided a positive response to the program’s impact. These results suggest widespread approval and recognition of the program’s effectiveness in enhancing the measurement of student process skills, indicating the potential for broader adoption. Novelty/Originality of this Study: This study introduces a fresh approach by highlighting the critical role of teacher-developed assessment tools in accurately measuring student learning outcomes. The integration of the DISKAPROD program into the curriculum is presented as a novel and effective method for improving science education, particularly at the Mts level. By emphasizing the practical application of assessment instruments, this research contributes to ongoing efforts to refine educational practices and foster student skill development in scientific inquiry.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: This study aims to optimize traffic light timing at the Usman Salengke-Poros Malino-K.H. Wahid Hasyim intersection using a graph theory approach. By modeling compatible traffic flows and calculating optimal signal durations, the study seeks to reduce congestion, minimize delays, and improve traffic efficiency. Methodology: This study utilized manual traffic volume data collection methods with direct field observations at the Usman Salengke-Poros Malino-K.H. Wahid Hasyim intersection. It employed Webster's method for optimal cycle calculation and MATLAB software for simulation. Tools included measuring tapes (Stanley), stopwatches (Casio), and data sheets for recording traffic flow. Surveys captured vehicle types and peak hour volumes. Main Findings: The optimal traffic light cycle duration was calculated as 95 seconds, reducing the original cycle time of 128 seconds. Peak traffic volume was observed at 1,383 pcu/hour (Usman Salengke North). The green light duration increased for Usman Salengke North to 39 seconds and for Poros Malino to 28 seconds. Total average vehicle waiting time decreased by 33.3%, with improved throughput by 20%. Novelty/Originality of this study: This study introduces a practical application of graph theory for optimizing traffic light timing, using compatible flow modeling to simplify intersection analysis. Unlike adaptive systems requiring expensive technology, this approach relies on manual traffic data, offering cost-effective solutions. It advances existing knowledge by providing a simplified, scalable method for reducing congestion and enhancing traffic efficiency in urban settings.

Abstract

The problem when researcher was observed is the learning oriented for outcomes. That is make students competition each other even though cooperation and student cohesiveness needed when learning physics subjects because physics subjects considered difficult. This the purpose of this research is to know cooperation and student cohesivenss in class when physics subjects. The research for 268 respondent that is from 7 class of XI MIPA SMAN 3 Kota Jambi. The method of research is descriptive with quantitative approach. The data collection technique use questionnaire with two scale that is cooperation and student cohesiveness. The descriptive statistics used for data analysis. The results is cooperation in class when learning physics subjects including “very good” category with average value of 4,20 on maximum value of 5 and standard deviation value of 0,84. Student cohesiveness in the class when learning physics subjects including “good” category with average value of 3,86 on maximum value of 5 and standard deviation value of 0,88.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the activity and learning outcomes through cooperative learning of time token type. This research was a classroom action research. The subject of this research student of XE SMAN 3 Muaro Jambi. Data collection instruments using student and teacher observation sheets during process activities as well as test learning outcomes. The results of this study showed that an increase in student activity from Cycle I was, 68.37% to 71.75% in cycle II and 74.06% in cycle III. Students ' learning results in cycles i.e., 63.03 for cycle I to 70.00 for cycle II and 76.86 for cycle III. The application of the Time Token Cooperative Learning model can increase the student's activity and learning outcomes at the temperature and heat material in the XE SMA Negeri 3 Muaro Jambi class.

Abstract

This study aims to increase student activity and learning outcomes. This research method is classroom action research. This research is a classroom action research which consists of three cycles. The subjects of this study were students of class X MIA1 SMA Al-Falah. The research instrument used the observation sheet and test. The results of observations were analyzed descriptively qualitatively, while the test results were analyzed using descriptive statistics. The increase in student activity can be seen from the average percentage of student activity in the first cycle is 50.20%, an increase in the second cycle to 67.70%, and an increase in the third cycle to 88.85%. While the learning outcomes of the first cycle 67.50 increased in the second cycle to 72.50 and then increased in the third cycle to 77.50. The results of this study indicate an increase in activity and student learning outcomes of physics in each cycle. From the results of the study it can be concluded that the application of active learning strategies type quick on the draw can increase activity and physics learning outcomes in the material quantities and units in class X MIA1 SMA Al-Falah Jambi City.

Abstract

This research was motivated by low of motivation to learn physics at SMPN 30 Muaro Jambi. By using the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) learning model, it is expected that students will more easily to understand and receive knowledge effectively and efficiently. So, it can increase student learning motivation, because the temperature material and its changes contain a description of the material that is conceptual and quantitative, so in presenting this material a learning model is needed to encourage student learning motivation. From the results, it can be seen that there is an increase in learning motivation experienced by students from the first cycle 59.74% to 72.18% in cycle II and 82.61% in cycle III. Thus it can be concluded that the application of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) learning model can increase student motivation in class VII B SMPN 30 Muaro Jambi.

Abstract

This study aims to determine student perceptions of Student Worksheets in the Introduction to Solid Substance Physics course. Using a mixed method research method between quantitative and qualitative methods and the type of research is explanatory sequential, which strengthens the results of quantitative data. The research subjects were 47 active students who had contracted the Introduction to Solid Substance Physics course in the Physics Education study program at Jambi University. The research instrument was distributing student perception questionnaire sheets and lecturer interview sheets to students. The data analysis techniques used for the quantitative method are descriptive statistics and qualitative methods based on Miles & Huberman. The results obtained after conducting the research revealed that students were dominant in the excellent category for understanding the learning of the Introduction to Solid Substance Physics course on Student Worksheets, and following the results of interviews with lecturers, namely student responses were excellent and able to improve skills in the learning process. The introductory course in Solid Substance Physics is a limitation of this study, and the results obtained on the Student Worksheet are only for students of the Physics Education study program. Thus, further research can expand the subjects to be studied so that the results obtained are varied and good
