Abstract

Koperasi Simpan Pinjam (KSP) plays a strategic role in strengthening the people's economy, but still faces various challenges, particularly in financial reporting and the use of information technology. This community service aims to improve the financial and digital literacy of the board members of Koperasi Merah Putih in Ketabang Sub-district, Surabaya, through two integrated approaches: socialization of cooperative financial reporting and the development of a website-based information system. The activity was carried out participatively by involving cooperative board members in every stage, from observation, socialization, website development, to training on system usage. The website was developed using PHP programming language and includes key features such as transaction recording, member management, and financial reporting. The results of the activity showed an increase in the board members' understanding of financial reporting and initial adoption of digital technology, although challenges remain in adapting to technology due to limited human resources. This activity demonstrates that the integration of financial literacy and digitalization of cooperative information systems can strengthen cooperative governance in a more accountable, efficient, and modern manner.

Abstract

This study aims to recount the perceptions and experiences of students on integrating Augmented Reality (AR) in Learning English for Junior High School. This study is quantitative in nature by using 32 seventh grade students as treatment through AR-based learning tools. The dimensions are based on the 1-5 Likert scale-based questionnaire of ease of use, learning usefulness, technological features, and learning outcomes. Data was analyzed descriptively to describe the pattern of students' experiences and perceptions of AR technology. The results showed that AR had a positive impact on student motivation, engagement, and understanding. 77% of the students were found to be in the medium learning experience category, and 17% were found in the high category, showing that AR managed to produce significant learning experience. AR interactive functions allow students to learn better complex concepts visually and interactively; that said, AR applications in mastering complex information is still in the process of development. A limitation in the present study includes limited coverage of the population, with most studies having used quantitative approaches that did not give in-depth insight into students' experiences. Day, future studies should include a broader population as well as applying qualitative approach to get a holistic understanding. This study argues that AR is more than a technological development, it is a pedagogical strategy that can enhance the quality of English learning. The results can play a crucial role for educators, curriculum developers and policy decision makers for preparing learning strategies suitable for the needs of students in the digital age”. Keywords: Augmented reality, student experience, student perception, English language learning, technological innovation.

Abstract

Mathematical proof plays an essential role in developing students’ reasoning and higher-order thinking skills; however, secondary mathematics instruction often remains procedural, limiting meaningful reasoning development. This study explores students’ reasoning paths in proving the sine rule through Problem-Based Learning. A qualitative case study was conducted in a trigonometry learning context using Problem-Based Learning. Data were collected through classroom observations, analysis of students’ worksheets, and in-depth interviews, and analyzed thematically based on stages of mathematical proof. The results show that students’ reasoning paths develop dynamically through three stages conjecturing, justifying, and concluding. During conjecturing, students formulate initial conjectures based on problem understanding and connections to trigonometric concepts. The justifying stage involves developing and validating conjectures through argumentation, representations, mathematical manipulations, and reasoning supported by social interaction. In concluding, students formulate the sine rule and reflect on the validity of the proof process. Overall, the findings indicate that Problem-Based Learning provides a supportive context for fostering meaningful mathematical proof reasoning.

Abstract

This study examines the optimization of mobile phones as an effective medium for Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning at SMA 1 Baitussalam, Aceh, Indonesia, focusing on their benefits, challenges, and strategies to overcome obstacles in the digital era. Employing a descriptive qualitative method grounded in postpositivism, data were collected through triangulation techniques including observations, interviews, and documentation over two months. Participants included 3 PAI teachers, 12 eleventh-grade students, and the school principal. The findings reveal that mobile phones facilitate access to digital PAI textbooks, additional references like Qur'anic interpretations, Islamic educational apps (e.g., MyQuran, Google Classroom), discussion platforms, and educational videos on YouTube, promoting flexible and interactive learning aligned with the school's vision of faith, character, and global readiness. However, strict school regulations, including teacher supervision and sanctions, are implemented to prevent misuse, such as accessing social media or games. Key challenges include limited internet access and data quotas, distractions from notifications, and teachers' inadequate digital skills. To optimize mobile phones in PAI, recommendations include providing school internet facilities, teacher training in digital tools, and ethical guidelines for students. This research contributes practical insights for PAI educators, schools, and policymakers to integrate technology wisely, addressing gaps in PAI-specific digital education literature and supporting national educational goals amid globalization.

Abstract

The present study examines the degree to which an instructionally modified snakes and ladders game shapes the learning performance of students enrolled in the Akidah Akhlak course at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Salafiyah Syafi'iyah Seblak Jombang. The rationale underlying this inquiry originates from field-based evidence demonstrating that students' scholastic attainment has consistently fallen short of expectations, a circumstance largely ascribed to the entrenched dominance of teacher-centered instructional methods. This reliance on conventional delivery has progressively suppressed student engagement and diminished intrinsic motivation to participate actively in learning. The research was conducted within a quantitative paradigm, adopting a true experimental design with a post-test only control group configuration. Forty-two students were recruited as participants and allocated in equal proportions across an experimental cohort and a control cohort. Post-instructional test scores served as the primary source of outcome data, which were then processed through the Mann-Whitney U nonparametric statistical procedure. Findings disclosed that the experimental cohort registered a mean score of 91.19, markedly exceeding the 55.00 average recorded by the control cohort. The significance level of 0.000 considerably lower than the 0.05 benchmark provided compelling statistical evidence that the game-based instructional treatment generated a substantive and measurable improvement in student outcomes. Taken together, these findings affirm that the adapted snakes and ladders game constitutes a viable and effective instructional medium for enhancing academic achievement, notwithstanding several operational constraints related to time management and the maintenance of orderly classroom conditions during gameplay.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the validity of and students’ responses to an Android based digital learning medium. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model, which consists of the Analysis, Design, and Development phases. The study focused on evaluating the validity of the developed learning media in terms of design, content, and language aspects. The validation process involved six validators, comprising two design experts, two content experts, and two language experts. In addition, a response assessment was conducted involving elementary school students and a fifth-grade homeroom teacher. The validation results indicated Aiken’s V coefficients of 0.94 for the design aspect, 0.87 for the content aspect, and 0.84 for the language aspect. These values demonstrate that all assessed aspects were categorized as highly valid. The response assessment yielded scores of 3.85 from the teacher and 3.45 from the students, both of which fell within the highly practical category. These findings indicate that the media is highly practical for use as an instructional tool in the learning process. Therefore, it can be concluded that the Android-based digital learning media is highly valid and practical for classroom implementation and effectively supports the demands of 21st-century learning.
