Abstract

Environmental health is a critical factor in preventing vector-borne diseases in hospitals. The Dr. Wahidin Sudiro Husodo General Hospital in Mojokerto City has implemented a vector control programme in accordance with the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia Regulation No. 2 of 2023. However, monitoring results indicate that the larval index (LI) remains below the standard threshold of ≥95%, while rodent and cockroach densities exceed the established limits. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the vector control programme using the CIPP model (Context, Input, Process, Product). The research method used was qualitative descriptive with SWOT analysis. Data were collected through observations and interviews with sanitation officers in 32 hospital service units. The evaluation results showed that the context, input, and process aspects met the requirements, with each receiving high scores. However, in the product aspect, weaknesses were still found in mosquito and rat population control. Based on the SWOT analysis, the programme is in the aggressive strategy quadrant, which emphasises the utilisation of internal strengths and external opportunities to improve vector control effectiveness. Key recommendations include expanding programme coverage to areas outside the hospital, strengthening the involvement of internal health workers, and modernising the technology-based monitoring system. With the optimisation of these strategies, it is hoped that the vector control programme will be more effective in maintaining environmental health standards in hospitals.

Abstract

This narrative literature review aims to critically review the development of research on diversification policies and company performance in the context of family company ownership in Asian countries. The study is based on a review of 75 empirical research articles. The findings from the review state that there are still inconsistencies in research results in improving performance. The diversification policies that are related and non-related give mixed results on increased performance and corporate excess value. Motivation of family companies in developing diversified businesses is interpreted differently according to agency theory, resources-based theory, and social wealth theory. The role of the pyramid ownership structure and the transformation between generations of families also contributes to determining the impact of diversification on improving company performance. This study recommends future research to develop a more holistic understanding of the determinant and contextual models in differentiating the performance of family firms in determining related and non-related diversification policy choices. Abstract

ABSTRACK In line with the change of era and the increased number of people, the increase of people with Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is quite high, such increase of DM case is potentially caused by the transformation of lifestyle and dietary program (Pakaya, 2023). Some External factors in the prevention of Diabetes Mellitus include the interaction of health workers with patients, environmental aspects and family support. (Hamdani et al., 2017). This community service activity aims to inform and educate the respondents about the application of family support in improving dietary compliance of patients with diabetes mellitus around RT 04 Pulokerto Village. This activity was done on November 12th, 2024 at Pulokerto Village, Gandus District Palembang with 35 participants. This activity was kind of community empowerment through health counseling by lecturing and discussion methods. The material contains the application of family support in improving the dietary compliance of patients with diabetes mellitus around RT 04 Pulokerto Village. It is hoped that the community could enrich the information about diabetes mellitus dietary adherence by attending regular counseling activities from health practitioners. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengungkap bentuk-bentuk hegemoni dan perlawanan (counter hegemony) dalam novel Negeri di Ujung Tanduk karya Tere Liye. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah sosiologi sastra dengan kerangka teori hegemoni Antonio Gramsci. Data diperoleh melalui analisis kutipan naratif dan dialog tokoh dalam novel yang mencerminkan praktik dominasi kekuasaan serta bentuk-bentuk perlawanan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya lima bentuk hegemoni, yaitu: hegemoni kebudayaan, kepemimpinan, ideologi (kepercayaan populer dan common sense), peran kaum intelektual, dan peran negara. Selain itu, ditemukan pula tiga bentuk perlawanan terhadap dominasi tersebut, yaitu perlawanan aktif, pasif, dan humanistik. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa dominasi kekuasaan dalam karya sastra tidak hanya berlangsung melalui paksaan, tetapi juga melalui persetujuan ideologis yang dibangun secara sistemik. Dalam konteks tersebut, novel ini tidak hanya merepresentasikan kondisi sosial-politik fiktif, melainkan juga menggambarkan dinamika ideologis yang relevan dengan realitas kontemporer.

Abstract

Shallot (Allium ascalonicum L.) is an important horticultural crop in Indonesia, yet its productivity remains relatively low, especially in suboptimal lands such as alluvial soils. This study aimed to evaluate the effects of combining chicken manure and NPK Mutiara fertilizer on the growth and yield of shallots in alluvial soils of West Kalimantan. The research was conducted from January to March 2025 at the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Panca Bhakti University, Pontianak, using a factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with two factors: chicken manure (40, 80, and 120 g/polybag) and NPK Mutiara fertilizer (6.22, 7.95, and 9.26 g/polybag). Observed parameters included plant height, number of leaves, number of bulbs, and fresh bulb weight. The results showed that the combination of treatments had no significant effect on all growth and yield parameters. However, the combination of a3n3 (120 g chicken manure and 9.26 g NPK Mutiara) produced the highest average plant height (33.11 cm), while the a2n3 combination resulted in the highest fresh bulb weight (116.67 g). The absence of significant effects is presumed to be due to insufficient nutrient supply under acidic and organic-poor alluvial soil conditions. Further research is needed to determine the optimal dosage and fertilization combination to improve shallot yields on suboptimal land. Recommended to adjust the dosage of chicken manure and NPK Mutiara fertilizer for optimal results, use high-quality seeds with a greater number of active buds, and improve the organic matter content of alluvial soil prior to planting.

Abstract

Limbah cair dari industri pengolahan susu menghasilkan lumpur (sludge) pada instalasi pengolahan air limbah (IPAL). Sludge tersebut berpotensi dimanfaatkan sebagai pupuk organic karena mengandung unsur hara makro dan mikro yang dibutuhkan tanaman. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh prmberian sludge IPAL PT. Indolakto Pandaan terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman cabai rawit (Capsicum frutescens L.). Penelitian menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dengan 3 perlakuan dosis sludge dan tiga kali pengulangan. Parameter yang diamati meliputi waktu tumbuh tanaman dan hasil kualitas cabai. Hasil penelitian Kandungan N belum memenuhi syarat SNI 19-7030-2004. P memenuhi standar minimum SNI 19-7030-2004. K memenuhi dan melebihi standar SNI pada semua tahap. Perlakuan yang diberikan pada P1 dan P2 dapat mempercepat proses pertumbuhan tanaman. Perlakuan P₁ dan P₂ menunjukkan peningkatan kualitas cabai dibandingkan dengan perlakuan K₀. Hasil uji Anova yang memperoleh nilai signifikasi < 0,05 yang berarti ada perbedaan signifikan waktu tumbuh cabai dengan berbagai perlakuan. Pupuk dari limbah padat PT. Indolakto berpotensi baik terhadap tanaman cabai namun perlu menambahkan sumber N. Untuk mencapai standar yang diperlukan dan mendukung pertumbuhan tanaman yang optimal, disarankan untuk menambahkan kotoran kelelawar atau guano tambahan ke dalam pupuk ini.

Abstract

Keterbatasan sarana laboratorium di sekolah-sekolah menengah masih menjadi tantangan dalam pembelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam (IPA). Kondisi ini mendorong perlunya alternatif media berbasis digital yang mampu mendukung proses praktikum secara aman, fleksibel, dan bermakna. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji efektivitas laboratorium virtual sebagai media pembelajaran alternatif dalam meningkatkan keterlibatan dan pemahaman konsep siswa. Penelitian dilakukan secara hybrid melalui tahapan survei kebutuhan, pengembangan modul laboratorium virtual berbasis simulasi, pelatihan guru, implementasi di kelas, serta monitoring dan refleksi. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa laboratorium virtual meningkatkan antusiasme siswa, memperkuat pemahaman konsep, serta mendukung proses pembelajaran interaktif berbasis inkuiri. Selain itu, guru merasa terbantu dengan adanya alur eksperimen yang sistematis dan dapat diakses kapan saja. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa laboratorium virtual merupakan solusi inovatif dalam pembelajaran IPA, khususnya di sekolah dengan keterbatasan fasilitas praktik. Dukungan pelatihan dan infrastruktur digital tetap menjadi faktor penting dalam keberlanjutan implementasinya.

Abstract

Technology Development plays the role in influencing modernization of tax system one of them is e-Filing System. E-Filing is a tax filing system electronically that facilitates taxpayers in submitting Tax Return anytime and anywhere. The objective of this study is to analyze the implementation of policy on individual tax e-Filing, obstacles encountered and efforts undertaken in coping with such obstacles at the Public Work and Spatial Planning Office of Depok. This study used qualitative descriptive research method. Result of this study identified that the implementation of e-Filing has been good enough. Some obstacles which can be overcome with efforts carried out from the implementor and taxpayer.

Abstract

Pulmonary tuberculosis (TB) remains a major public health challenge in Indonesia. Behavioral factors, including perception and lifestyle, play an important role in influencing TB incidence. Objective: This study aimed to analyze the association between behavioral factors based on the Health Belief Model (HBM) and the incidence of pulmonary TB in the Benowo Health Center area, Surabaya. A case-control design was employed with 39 cases and 39 controls aged 15–60 years, selected using the Slovin formula and purposive sampling. Data were collected through structured questionnaires and analyzed using bivariate (Chi-square) and multivariate (logistic regression) tests. Significant factors associated with pulmonary TB incidence were poor perceived vulnerability (OR = 1.86), high perceived severity (OR = 2.84), and low self-efficacy (OR = 2.44). Other variables such as perceived benefits, barriers, and cues to action showed weaker associations. Behavioral factors, particularly vulnerability, severity, and self-efficacy, significantly influence pulmonary TB incidence in the Benowo Health Center area. Strengthening health education and community-based counseling is recommended to improve TB prevention and control.
