Abstract

Digital transformation in mathematics education has gained tremendous momentum, mainly driven by the COVID-19 pandemic and the emergence of Society 5.0. While digital devices open up exciting possibilities through interactive visualizations and adaptive learning platforms, educators still face significant hurdles in their implementation, from teacher preparation to infrastructure readiness. The purpose of this research is to analyze effective mathematics teaching and learning in the digital era. This research method uses systematic literature review (SLR) by analyzing 16 carefully selected articles from Scopus indexed journals published between 2019 and 2024. Through a comprehensive examination using the PRISMA protocol supplemented with bibliometric analysis, we investigated current trends, effectiveness patterns, and implementation challenges. Our findings shed light on three key insights: mathematics education is naturally evolving beyond simple digitization towards more sophisticated adaptive learning approaches that embrace computational thinking; the success of digital devices is closely linked to thoughtful implementation strategies that respect cultural contexts; and meaningful integration requires careful attention to challenges such as technostress while maintaining pedagogical excellence.

Abstract

This study explores the development of religious character education in Indonesian elementary schools over the past five years (2019–2025). Utilizing a literature review method, the research analyzes a wide range of academic sources, including journal articles, books, and educational policy documents, to examine how religious values are integrated into school culture, curriculum, and learning practices. The findings reveal that religious character education plays a strategic role in shaping students’ moral and spiritual foundations, fostering values such as honesty, empathy, tolerance, and responsibility. Schools that successfully implement religious character education tend to embed religious practices into daily routines, promote teacher role modeling, and cultivate supportive environments aligned with national educational goals, including the Profil Pelajar Pancasila. However, several challenges persist, including inadequate teacher training, limited resources, curricular time constraints, and lack of parental and community involvement. Addressing these issues requires collaborative efforts among educators, policymakers, and stakeholders to ensure the effective and sustainable integration of religious character education. This study concludes that a holistic and context-sensitive approach is essential for advancing the moral development of students and strengthening their capacity to navigate ethical challenges in a pluralistic society.

Abstract

This study aims to develop and validate healthy school indicators based on Al-Islam Kemuhammadiyahan (AIK) in Sidenreng Rappang Regency. The research employs a mixed-method approach with Sequential Explanatory Research design. The qualitative phase involves in-depth interviews with Muhammadiyah scholars to explore AIK's perspective on health and identify initial healthy school indicators. The quantitative phase validates these indicators through a cross-sectional study using a questionnaire distributed to Muhammadiyah schools in Sidenreng Rappang. Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) was used to assess the validity and reliability of the indicators. The findings reveal four main pillars of health from the AIK perspective: physical, mental, spiritual, and environmental health. The developed indicators include balanced nutrition programs, regular physical activity, counseling, religious education, and environmental management. CFA results indicate that the indicators are valid and reliable, with Composite Reliability (CR) and Average Variance Extracted (AVE) meeting the required standards. The implementation of these indicators is expected to create a holistic health-supportive school environment, reinforcing students' physical, mental, spiritual, and environmental well-being. This study significantly contributes to the development of healthy school concepts in Indonesia, aligned with Islamic values, and provides a foundation for health policy and programs in Islamic-based schools to enhance overall student health and well-being.

Abstract

Purpose – The limited use of learning media by teachers, which leads to a primarily one-way learning process, is the main reason for this study. Student learning outcomes are adversely affected by this lack of interaction in the classroom, particularly in Arabic language studies. The study intends to (1) figure out whether students who are taught using the sound book 'أول كتاب and those who do not have a notable difference in their mastery of Arabic vocabulary and (2) assess how well the sound book 'أول كتاب enhance students' Arabic vocabulary mastery.Methodology – This study employs a quantitative approach with an experimental research design, specifically a pretest-posttest control group design. The population consists of three classes, comprising a total of 105 students. The sample, selected using a simple random sampling technique, consists of two classes: Class I-A, the experimental group, and Class I-B, the control group. Data collection methods include tests, interviews, and documentation. For data analysis, a t-test was used to examine differences in students' mastery of Arabic vocabulary, while the N-gain test was applied to determine the level of effectiveness.Findings – The results of the t-test on the post-test scores for the experimental and control classes indicate a Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.001, demonstrating a significant difference in Arabic vocabulary mastery between students in the experimental class, who were taught using the sound book 'أول كتاب, and those in the control class, who were taught without it. Furthermore, the N-gain test for the experimental class yielded a percentage of 75%, indicating an effective enough level. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the use of the sound book 'أول كتاب is effective enough in enhancing students' mastery of Arabic vocabulary.Contribution – These findings have implications for the use of sound books as a valuable resource for teachers in selecting appropriate learning media to create a more effective and interactive learning experience. This demonstrates the potential of sound books to enhance students' engagement and understanding through their interactive and multi-sensory features

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the profile of elementary school students' critical thinking ability in mathematics learning and identify differences based on gender. The research was conducted at SDN Pucungkidul 1 Tulungagung, involving 30 fourth- and fifth-grade students selected through purposive random sampling. Data collection was carried out using a critical thinking ability test, which consisted of five indicators: problem interpretation, conceptual analysis, argument evaluation, logical inference, and metacognitive reflection. The data were analyzed quantitatively using descriptive statistics to observe the students' average score trends, and a comparative test was conducted to identify differences based on gender. The findings indicate that the conceptual analysis indicator had the highest score, while metacognitive reflection had the lowest score, suggesting that students still struggle to evaluate their own thinking processes. Additionally, there was a tendency for differences in critical thinking abilities between male and female students, although statistical tests showed varying levels of significance. These findings imply the need for more adaptive and reflective learning strategies to enhance students' critical thinking awareness in mathematics learning.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The impacts that often arise due to lack of personal hygiene include disorders in the human body such as cavities and toothaches due to caries, the appearance of lice in the hair, and problems with nails. In addition, the habit of not washing hands properly can lead to worm infections and diarrhea. Based on Indonesian statistical data in 2022, out of a total of 69.4 million adolescents in Indonesia, 63 million of them still have poor hygiene behavior, which reflects limited knowledge, inadequate facilities, and lack of social support. This study aims to examine the determinants of behavior and its relationship with personal hygiene among students of SMP Negeri 5 Panca Rijang. This research is expected to provide insight into the various factors that influence students' personal hygiene in an effort to maintain their personal health. The method used in this research is quantitative method, data collection techniques are questionnaires, literature study and observation, using a cross sectional study approach with chi-square test. The population in this study were all students of SMP Negeri 5 Panca Rijang, namely 98 people with sample collection, namely total sampling technique. The results revealed that there was no significant relationship between the level of knowledge and personal hygiene behavior of students, as indicated by a p-value of 0.517. This value is higher than the significance limit (p < 0.05), thus indicating that adequate knowledge is not always followed by good personal hygiene behavior in learners. In contrast, analysis of facility availability showed a significant relationship with students' personal hygiene behavior, with a p-value of 0.005 which is lower than the significance limit (p < 0.05). This indicates that the availability of adequate facilities plays an important role in improving personal hygiene behavior. In addition, there is also a significant relationship between social support and students' personal hygiene behavior, with a p-value of 0.016 which is also smaller than the significance limit (p < 0.05), which indicates that sufficient social support can encourage increased personal hygiene behavior in students. Keywords: Social Support, Facility Availability, Knowledge, Personal Hygiene.
