Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji efektivitas strategi pembelajaran ekspositori terhadap motivasi belajar siswa kelas VII mata pelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) di SMP Negeri 6 Alla, Kecamatan Curio, Kabupaten Enrekang. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji efektivitas strategi pembelajaran ekspositori dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa kelas VII pada mata pelajaran PAI di SMP Negeri 6 Alla, Kecamatan Curio, Kabupaten Enrekang. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain pre-eksperimental tipe one-group pretest-posttest. Penelitian ini melibatkan 25 siswa sebagai subjek penelitian. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan desain pre-eksperimental one-group pretest-posttest. Analisis data menunjukkan peningkatan motivasi belajar siswa kelas VII mata pelajaran PAI pasca penerapan strategi pembelajaran ekspositori yang signifikan secara statistik. Skor rata-rata pretest (M = 36,92) meningkat secara signifikan (p < 0,05) menjadi 63,04 pada posttest. Besarnya peningkatan tersebut, sebagaimana diukur dengan normalized gain (N-Gain), mencapai 0,41, yang mengindikasikan peningkatan sedang. Hasil uji-t (t = 14,269; p < 0,05) mendukung penolakan hipotesis nol dan penerimaan hipotesis alternatif, yang menyatakan adanya pengaruh signifikan strategi pembelajaran ekspositori terhadap motivasi belajar siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pada keenam indikator motivasi belajar yang diteliti: hasrat berprestasi, dorongan internal untuk belajar, orientasi masa depan, apresiasi terhadap pembelajaran,  minat pada aktivitas belajar, dan persepsi terhadap lingkungan belajar yang kondusif. Temuan ini mendukung kesimpulan bahwa strategi pembelajaran ekspositori terbukti efektif meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa dalam mata pelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam, berdampak positif pada aspek afektif dan kognitif proses pembelajaran.

Abstract

This study discusses the “Effect of Teacher Interaction Teaching Style on Learning Interest of Class VIII Students in Islamic Religious Education Subjects at SMPN 36 Makassar”. This research aims to find out: Interactional teaching style of Islamic Religious Education teachers in class, learning interest of class VIII students in Islamic Religious Education subjects, and the effect of interactional teaching style of Islamic Religious Education teachers on learning interest of class VIII students at SMPN 36 Makassar. The method used is quantitative research method. The population in this study were VIII grade students with a total of 123 students. The sample used was 56 respondents. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of the teacher's interactional teaching style applied is in accordance with the junior high school level. Based on the results of descriptive analysis with 56 respondents, it can be seen that the average student interest in learning is 88.85 with a standard deviation of 4.190 with a percentage of 57% in the moderate category. The effect of the teacher's interactional teaching style on the learning interest of class VIII students in Islamic Religious Education subjects at SMPN 36 Makassar partially is (1) the variable of the teacher's interactional teaching style obtained a significance value <0.05 (0.001 <0.05) and t_hitung = 5.473> t_table = 3.205, meaning that there is a significant effect partially. The simultaneous effect obtained a value of 0.222 with a percentage of 22.2%.

Abstract

Penelitian kualitatif ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor penyebab rendahnya disiplin dan upaya peningkatannya pada tenaga pendidik di Pondok Pesantren Darul Istiqamah Banggai Kabupaten Banggai Laut tahun ajaran 2022/2023. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis melalui reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan simpulan. Hasil wawancara mengungkapkan beberapa faktor penyebab rendahnya disiplin: (1) Kegiatan lain di luar pondok pesantren; (2) Peraturan pondok pesantren yang kurang ketat; (3) Sikap yang santai dalam bekerja; (4) Kendaraan terbatas; dan (5) Jarak yang jauh dari rumah. Sebagai upaya peningkatan, pimpinan pondok pesantren telah dan akan menerapkan beberapa strategi: (1) Pemberian motivasi; (2) Pertemuan bulanan; (3) Pemberian sanksi/teguran; (4) Pengawasan peralatan; dan (5) Pertemuan rutin mingguan. Beberapa upaya masih dalam tahap perencanaan. Kesimpulan awal menunjukkan bahwa rendahnya disiplin dipengaruhi oleh faktor internal (sikap santai, kurangnya komitmen) dan faktor eksternal (aktivitas lain, keterbatasan kendaraan, jarak tempuh yang jauh). Upaya peningkatan yang dilakukan oleh kepala pesantren membutuhkan konsistensi dan dukungan dari seluruh staf pengajar. Saran untuk meningkatkan efektivitas antara lain: peningkatan komunikasi, pelatihan profesional, peningkatan kesejahteraan, fasilitas yang memadai, dan evaluasi berkala. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat berkontribusi pada peningkatan mutu pendidikan di pesantren.

Abstract

This study investigates the implementation and impact of Qur’anic recitation completion (khatam Al-Qur’an) activities as a medium for character development among students at the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Muslim Indonesia (UMI), Makassar. The research is guided by three primary questions: (1) What is the structure of the khatam Al-Qur’an program in the context of student character formation? (2) What character values are cultivated through this activity? and (3) How effective is the implementation of the khatam Al-Qur’an program within the faculty environment? The objective is to analyze the implementation process, identify the character values fostered, and assess the program’s effectiveness in integrating spiritual and professional development among medical students. The activity is held regularly during the holy month of Ramadan and is positioned as a strategic initiative for character education grounded in Islamic spiritual values. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed, using data collected through observations, in-depth interviews, and questionnaires administered to participating students and program facilitators. The results reveal that the program is systematically implemented in both online and offline formats through two main modalities: (1) One Day One Juz (ODOJ), conducted individually, and (2) collective qira’ah sessions, carried out in turns via virtual platforms or face-to-face gatherings. These formats effectively instill core character values such as religiosity, honesty, discipline, responsibility, and inner peace. Students reported that participation in the program significantly enhanced their spiritual well-being, boosted academic motivation, and shaped a strong foundation for ethical professionalism in the medical field. The present study sheds light on the khatam Al-Qur’an program conducted during Ramadan which serves as an effective and integrative tool for character development, bridging spiritual enrichment with academic and professional ethics. The model demonstrates strong potential to be adapted as a sustainable character-building initiative within higher education institutions rooted in Islamic values.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji pengaruh motivasi dan gaya belajar terhadap hasil belajar Pendidikan Agama Islam kelas XI di SMAN 2 Maros. Menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif, penelitian ini melibatkan 125 siswa kelas XI sebagai populasi dan sampel. Data dikumpulkan melalui angket dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan uji validitas, reliabilitas, uji T, dan uji F. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan motivasi dan gaya belajar siswa berada pada kategori sedang (90% dan 87%). Hasil belajar juga berada pada kategori sedang (92%). Analisis lebih lanjut menunjukkan pengaruh signifikan antara motivasi dan gaya belajar terhadap hasil belajar. Uji T menunjukkan pengaruh signifikan (p<0.05) baik motivasi intrinsik (M1) dan ekstrinsik (M2), maupun gaya belajar visual (X1), auditori (X2), dan kinestetik (X3) terhadap hasil belajar (Y). Uji F juga mengkonfirmasi pengaruh signifikan secara simultan dari kedua variabel independen terhadap variabel dependen. Oleh karena itu, hipotesis alternatif diterima dan hipotesis nol ditolak. Kesimpulannya, motivasi dan gaya belajar berpengaruh signifikan terhadap hasil belajar Pendidikan Agama Islam kelas XI di SMAN 2 Maros.

Abstract

The main problem examined in this study is how the family environment influences the learning motivation of Grade IX students at MTs Negeri 1 Kota Makassar. This study aims to: (1) describe the family environment of students in Grade IX at MTs Negeri 1 Kota Makassar; (2) describe the learning motivation of students in Grade IX at MTs Negeri 1 Kota Makassar; and (3) analyze the extent to which the family environment influences students' learning motivation in Grade IX at MTs Negeri 1 Kota Makassar. This research is a quantitative study using a correlational approach to determine whether there is an influence between the family environment variable and learning motivation, namely the family environment variable (X) and the learning motivation variable (Y). The study was conducted at MTs Negeri 1 Kota Makassar, with a population consisting of 500 Grade IX students. The data collection techniques used were questionnaires and documentation. The data analysis techniques used include validity tests, reliability tests, classical assumption tests, and hypothesis tests. The results of the study show that the family environment of Grade IX students is generally in the medium category, as is the students' learning motivation. The study found a significant influence of the family environment on students' learning motivation. This can be seen from the statistical analysis using the t-test and f-test, where the t-test results showed that X1 had no significant effect (sig > 0.05), while X2 significantly affected variable Y. The f-test results indicated that both X1 and X2 significantly influenced variable Y, with a significance value of 0.00 < 0.05. These results indicate that the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted, and the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected. Thus, it can be concluded that the family environment influences the learning motivation of students at MTs Negeri 1 Kota Makassar.

Abstract

Writing skill (maharah al-kitabah) is one of the essential competencies in Arabic language learning; however, many students still struggle to master it effectively. This study investigates the writing errors made by students of class VIII.3 at MTsN 2 Makassar, with the primary aim of identifying the types of errors and analyzing the underlying causes behind them. Employing a qualitative descriptive approach with an error analysis framework, data were collected through writing tests and semi-structured interviews. The data were then analyzed using techniques of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that the majority of students continue to encounter significant difficulties in maharah al-kitabah. The types of errors most frequently observed include: improper spacing between words, confusion between similar-looking Arabic letters, misuse of punctuation, incorrect application of tasydid, and the omission or addition of letters within words. Furthermore, the causes of these errors can be classified into internal and external factors. Internal factors consist of limited writing practice, lack of concentration, hurried writing, restricted reading habits, insufficient understanding of Arabic grammar, and a limited vocabulary range. Meanwhile, external factors are associated with the teaching methods used, the broader learning environment, and the influence of parental support. This study contributes to the field of Arabic language education by providing an in-depth understanding of the error patterns in students’ writing. It also emphasizes the need for more targeted instructional strategies, greater emphasis on writing practice, and supportive learning environments to improve maharah al-kitabah among learners.

Abstract

The teaching of Arabic grammar (nahwu) often poses challenges for students due to its abstract rules and memorization demands, which frequently result in low levels of comprehension and achievement. This study aims to address these challenges by examining the effectiveness of the Mumtaz Method in enhancing students’ understanding of nahwu. The research employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) framework to systematically reflect upon and improve classroom practices based on iterative observations and evaluations. The participants were students of class C2 at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) Idadiyah Campus III Putri DDI Mangkoso, Soppeng Riaja District, Barru Regency. The Mumtaz Method, which adapts familiar melodies such as religious and children’s songs into learning media, was applied to facilitate the memorization and internalization of Arabic grammatical structures. The study was carried out over two cycles, following the stages of pre-cycle (initial reflection), Cycle I, and Cycle II. The findings demonstrated a notable improvement in students’ comprehension of nahwu. The average score increased from 61.90 with a completion rate of 33% at the pre-cycle stage to 68.09 with 52% completion in Cycle I, and further to 77.38 with a 96% completion rate in Cycle II. These results confirm the effectiveness of the Mumtaz Method in improving Arabic syntax learning. The study contributes to applied linguistics and language pedagogy by offering an innovative, culturally relevant strategy to support grammar acquisition in young learners.

Abstract

The speaking ability (Maharah al-Kalam) of students at State Islamic Senior High School 3 Makassar remains relatively low, primarily due to limited innovation in teaching methods and the minimal active participation of learners in classroom activities. This study aims to examine the implementation of Problem-Based Learning (PBL) as an alternative instructional model to address these challenges and enhance students’ proficiency in Arabic speaking skills. Employing a Classroom Action Research (CAR) design, the study involved 31 students of class X.6 as research participants. Data collection instruments included classroom observations, teacher and student interviews, and an oral performance test consisting of five questions administered both at the beginning and end of the cycles. The findings revealed a significant improvement in students’ Arabic speaking ability across the two research cycles. The average score increased from 62.35% in the pre-cycle to 74.90% in cycle I, and further improved to 93.12% in cycle II. These results demonstrate that PBL not only promotes active participation and collaborative learning but also significantly enhances oral proficiency in Arabic. The study contributes to the field of Arabic language pedagogy by providing empirical evidence of the effectiveness of PBL in improving Maharah al-Kalam within Islamic senior high school contexts.

Abstract

Bullying behavior is behavior that oppresses other people. Bullying has become a national and international issue, Indonesia itself has become one of the countries with a bullying emergency status. Bullies consider themselves to be individuals who are capable of doing anything to other people, especially if there is a difference of opinion or they feel unhappy with the person who is the victim of bullying. Whether intentionally or unintentionally, this bullying behavior is never justified. Regardless of place or age, bullying still occurs among students, with several factors causing it. The aim of this training is to provide understanding through training for teachers to become anti-bullying teachers through the Anti-Bullying Movement. The subjects in this community service are teachers at MTs. Wihdatul Ulum, Parangloe District, Gowa, is expected to become a pioneer in anti-bullying learning. The training will be provided in stages, the methods used are counseling and simulation which follows systematic planning, action, evaluation and reflection. The initial step is to observe the partner's situation, provide material for teacher introduction and understanding, then provide training on teacher strategies in learning to overcome bullying behavior. The problem faced by partners is the occurrence of bullying towards students outside and in the learning process. The lack of knowledge and understanding of teachers is certainly one of the causes, as well as students' overall activities that cannot be controlled. Students who experience bullying are dominated by non-verbal bullying (body shaming). Through this training, sanctions and resolution and prevention efforts have been created to eliminate bullying in educational institutions and in the community.
