Abstract

This study investigates the influence of group cohesion, stress management, self-awareness, and creativity on the work effectiveness of elementary school teachers in Tasikmalaya Regency. Employing an exploratory sequential mixed-methods design, the research integrates qualitative and quantitative approaches. The qualitative phase involved in-depth interviews and observations, while the quantitative phase collected data from 163 proportionally randomized ASN (Aparatur Sipil Negara) teachers through structured questionnaires. Data analysis was conducted using Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS), complemented by the System Improvement Through Organizational Renewal and Empowerment (SITOREM) method to prioritize development indicators. The findings reveal that group cohesion, stress management, and self-awareness significantly and positively influence teacher creativity, which in turn mediates their impact on work effectiveness. Among the variables, self-awareness emerges as the strongest direct predictor of work effectiveness, whereas group cohesion exerts the most substantial influence on enhancing creativity. Creativity serves as a crucial mediating factor, bridging psychosocial factors and overall teacher performance. These results underscore the importance of fostering a collaborative work culture, implementing effective stress management initiatives, promoting self-reflective practices, and cultivating creative pedagogical approaches. This research contributes to the body of knowledge on teacher development by integrating psychosocial and professional dimensions into a comprehensive framework. The study offers valuable insights for policymakers and school leaders in advancing educational transformation in alignment with the vision of a Golden Indonesia 2045.

Abstract

This research aims to find ways to strengthen teacher OCB by analyzing the relationship between empowerment and trust. The research method uses quantitative methods with correlation analysis and SITOREM design. The research sample consisted of 104 permanent foundation teachers with instruments consisting of teacher OCB, empowerment, and trust. Data collection began with observations, interviews, and Discussion group forums to find factors influencing OCB, data analysis and processing using SEM-PLS. The research results show a positive and significant relationship between empowerment and trust in Teacher OCB with a correlation coefficient of ry12 = 0.775. The coefficient of determination value r2y12 = 0.601. The results of SITOREM's analysis of the empowerment variable show that there are indicators that must be a priority for improvement, namely competence (capabilities, professionalism). Meanwhile, other empowerment indicators are maintained and continue to be developed. Furthermore, for the trust variable, the indicators that must be improved are open communication between employees and leaders, and other trust variable indicators must be maintained and developed. It can be concluded that empowerment and trust can influence teacher OCB.

Abstract

The quality of service in higher education institutions is very important because it can affect student satisfaction, learning outcomes, and the reputation of the institution. Therefore, higher education institutions must continuously strive to improve the quality of the services they provide. This research aims to build an empirical model of service quality for educational institutions by looking for variables that influence strengthening service quality based on data and information from sources. This research uses qualitative methods through an interview and observation process with study program staff at the Indonesian Defense University Education Institute in Bogor, West Java, Indonesia. In this research, it was found that the dominant variables that influence the quality of teaching staff services are (1) organizational climate, (2) training effectiveness, (3) job satisfaction, (4) professionalism, (5) empowerment of educators, (6) motivational work, and (7) professional commitment. Therefore, improving the quality of educational institutions is important and must be a main concern for institutions.

Abstract

Education requires innovative teachers to improve learning quality, but challenges like limited technology and unsupportive policies persist. A survey in MTs (Islamic junior high schools) in Bogor Regency reveals that many teachers struggle to recognize, generate, promote, and implement innovative ideas. This study offers strategies to enhance teachers’ innovative behavior through strengthening learning organizations, job satisfaction, and IT-based training. A quantitative survey method with path analysis and SITOREM Analysis was used to examine variable relationships and determine strategies for improving teachers’ innovative behavior. Data were collected through questionnaires from 252 certified teachers in private MTs in Bogor Regency, with descriptive and inferential statistical analysis measuring the research variables’ direct and indirect effects. The findings show that Learning Organization, Personality, Job Satisfaction, and Organizational Commitment significantly influence teachers’ Innovative Behaviour. Job satisfaction and organizational commitment act as intervening variables in some relationships, except for organizational commitment, which is ineffective as a mediator between personality and innovative behavior. These results emphasize the importance of a supportive work environment and job satisfaction in fostering teacher innovation.

Abstract

The high workload of teachers causes stress and has an impact on their work effectiveness, and it is hoped that through stress management, teachers can increase their work effectiveness. This study aims to explore the influence of stress management on the work effectiveness of civil servant teachers in State Elementary Schools. The method used was quantitative, using SEM-PLS and SITOREM analysis. Data was collected through the distribution of questionnaires to 163 teachers who were randomly selected from 47 schools. The results of the study showed that the influence of stress management on teachers' work effectiveness was very small. This influence is not very significant in the model. with a track coefficient value of 0.058, T-statistic 1.308, and P-value 0.191. SITOREM analysis shows that the main indicators of teachers' work effectiveness are teaching motivation and teaching readiness, while in stress management, time management, and a healthy lifestyle are the top priorities. This study shows that although stress management has a theoretical contribution in supporting teachers' work, this factor is not the main determinant of teachers' work effectiveness. Educational organizations must focus more on improving professional competence, teaching motivation, and creating a conducive work environment, while still paying attention to the importance of stress management as an element that supports teachers' work effectiveness. Further research is suggested to explore the relationship between psychological, professional, and environmental factors in more depth, as well as involve qualitative methods to gain more comprehensive insights related to teachers' work dynamics.
