Abstract

Background: The nutritional status of toddlers serves as a key marker of their overall health and development, influencing cognitive abilities, immune function, and long-term productivity. Exclusive breastfeeding in the first six months is essential for supporting and enhancing nutritional well-being during early childhood. Nevertheless, public understanding of the critical benefits of exclusive breastfeeding is still limited.Aims: This study aimed to analyze the relationship between exclusive breastfeeding and the nutritional status of toddlers in the working area of Dawe Public Health Center, Kudus Regency.Methods: This study employed a quantitative analytic approach with a cross-sectional design. A total of 71 mothers with toddlers were selected through random sampling. Exclusive breastfeeding served as the independent variable, while the toddler’s nutritional status was the dependent variable, measured using the Kartu Menuju Sehat (KMS) growth chart. Data collection was conducted through questionnaires and document analysis, and the results were analyzed using the chi-square statistical test.Results: The results of the analysis revealed a statistically significant association between exclusive breastfeeding and toddlers' nutritional status, as evidenced by a p-value of 0.001 (p < 0.05). This suggests that toddlers who were exclusively breastfed were more likely to exhibit better nutritional outcomes.Conclusion: A significant correlation exists between exclusive breastfeeding and the nutritional status of toddlers. Consequently, it is essential to enhance health education efforts for mothers regarding the benefits of exclusive breastfeeding. In addition, ongoing support from healthcare providers is crucial to increase awareness and promote better exclusive breastfeeding practices within the community.

Abstract

Background: Hypertension is a health problem that impacts all age groups and social backgrounds, with the risk of serious complications, reduced quality of life, and a huge burden for clients, families, and the country. The increasing number of hypertension cases requires serious attention to reduce its impact.Aims: This study analyzes the relationship between health beliefs disease perceptions and self-management behavior in hypertensive clients at the Juwana Community Health Center.Methods: This research used a cross-sectional design and involved 95 clients selected using purposive sampling. Data was collected through a valid and reliable questionnaire and then analyzed using the Spearman-Rho correlation testResult: The results showed a significant relationship between health beliefs and self-management behavior (r = 0.327; p = 0.001), while the relationship between illness perception and self-management was insignificant (r = 0.178; p = 0.083). The majority of clients had sufficient categories for health beliefs (74%), disease perceptions (81.3%), and self-management behavior (71.9%).Conclusion: In conclusion, health beliefs influence self-management behavior, while illness perceptions do not have a significant relationship. Interactive media-based educational programs are needed to increase health confidence and support self-management of hypertension patients.

Abstract

The study discusses pulmonary tuberculosis as a chronic infectious disease that is still a global health problem, with Indonesia ranking third in the world. The increase in tuberculosis cases is influenced by drug resistance, limited access to health services, and poor environmental hygiene conditions. Kudus Regency, especially the work area of the Japanese Health Center, is an area with a relatively high number of tuberculosis cases. This disease not only has an impact on the physical condition, but also affects the mental and social aspects of the patient, so that self-management skills are an important factor in the success of treatment. The Health Belief Model explains that an individual's perception of susceptibility, disease severity, benefits, and barriers to health measures plays a role in shaping health behavior. In addition, good self-acceptance can improve treatment adherence and coping ability of patients. Self-management includes medication adherence, symptom management, and lifestyle changes influenced by social support, education level, and understanding of disease.  This study used a correlational design with a cross sectional approach and involved 53 respondents who were selected through purposive sampling techniques. The research instruments include the Health Belief Model questionnaire, self acceptance, and self-management. Data analysis was carried out univariate and bivariate using the chi square test. The results showed that most of the respondents had a high health belief of 79.2 percent and a high self-acceptance of 75.5 percent. The majority of respondents' self-management was in the good category, namely 94.3 percent. The bivariate test showed a significant relationship between health belief and self-management with a p value of 0.044 and an odds ratio of 9.111. In addition, there was a significant relationship between self acceptance and self-management with a p value of 0.02 and an odds ratio of 1.193. The conclusion of this study shows that health belief and self acceptance are meaningfully related to the self-management behavior of tuberculosis clients, so education and psychosocial support need to be improved on an ongoing basis.

Abstract

Uncertainty at the time of the COVID-19 pandemic caused businessmen to suffer a decline in revenue. The entrepreneur must have a strategy to survive through the use of information technology. Digital marketing is very useful to support the development of a business or enterprise. When a business has been connected to the Internet automatically, the business will be connected with Internet users throughout the world. So, it will greatly help the business in promoting the product effectively and efficiently. The purpose of this community service is to increase interest in entrepreneurship through the use of e-commerce. Public service activities are carried out in the form of training on e-commerce use in transactions of sale and purchase of goods and services. This activity was carried out in August 2023 at the Director of the Nasyiatul Aisyiyah Branch (PCNA) district of Undaan. Target activities of 19 PCNA cadres. The method of conducting the activity is in the form of interactive lectures, question-and-answer discussions, and demonstrations. Entrepreneurial interest in using e-commerce evaluated using a questionnaire of 22 statement items (validity value 0.354-0.647 and reliability 0.789). Data analysis is interpreted in descriptive form. Public service results have shown that the majority of cadres have a good interest in entrepreneurship using e-commerce. Social media is an opportunity for Micro small and Medium Enterprises to compete in the local market. Each social media platform has its own advantages and uniqueness. The potential of social media bias supports brand, sales improvement, customer service and product development.

Abstract

The development of Wonosoco Village as a fair, healthy, and productive tourist village in Kudus Regency has the potential to provide benefits for the community and enrich the tourism industry in the area. This activity aims to understand policies, clean and healthy living behavior, and marketing strategies, and empowerment of community businesses in tourist villages. This activity was carried out in November 2023 in Wonosoco Village, Undaan District, Kudus Regency. This activity was attended by 16 people consisting of village government, health cadres, youth groups, tourism awareness groups, and religious leaders. Delivery of material uses interactive lecture and focus group discussions in 3 sessions of 30 minutes/session. The material provided includes tourism village development policies, clean and healthy living behavior in public places, marketing strategies, and empowerment of community businesses in tourist villages. Service providers carry out assessments and evaluations using questionnaires on knowledge of clean and healthy living behavior in public places and perceptions of community participation in developing tourist villages. Data analysis is interpreted descriptively. The majority of the community has good knowledge about clean and healthy living behavior in public places (87%) and a perception of community participation in developing Wonosoco Village as a Tourism Village (50%). This activity is the first step in developing a just, healthy, and productive tourist village so it requires follow-up from local stakeholders. This follow-up takes the form of assisting in the development of tourist villages, monitoring and evaluating the success of developing tourist villages that are just, healthy, and productive.

Abstract

The increasing number of hypertension cases is caused by non-compliance with hypertension treatment. This occurs due to a lack of self-awareness. If this is left untreated, it can have an impact on the incidence of hypertension, which can lead to complications such as heart failure, stroke, and kidney failure. So it can impact the economic and social burden of the community on the treatment phase and loss of community productivity. This study aims to analyze the relationship between self-awareness and adherence to hypertension treatment in the community. The research design used correlation analysis with a cross-sectional approach. The independent variable is self-awareness, and the dependent variable is medication adherence. This study was conducted in a village in Kudus Regency, which is a hypertension locus, in 2025. The research sample of 80 hypertension clients was selected through a total sampling technique based on inclusion and exclusion criteria. The research instrument used the MAAS (Mindfulness Attention Awareness) questionnaire to measure self-awareness and the MMAS-8 (Morisky Medication Adherence Scale) to measure medication adherence. Data analysis used the chi-square test. The results showed a statistically significant relationship between self-awareness and medication adherence with a p-value = 0.03 (p < 0.05). Self-awareness affects medication adherence in hypertension clients in the community. There is a need for strategic interventions to improve medication adherence by increasing public awareness of the importance of hypertension management in the community.
